Slept pretty well--all things considered. Didn't use a sleep aid, nor did I put on any music. I'm encouraged by this.
Woke up and took my medication at the usual time.
All the usual expected effects--though the tremors were a bit different this time.
They lingered kind of all day but to a lesser extent. Just barely enough to be annoying, but not enough to be a proper hindrance. I'm thinking it was a matter of blood sugar because I was pretty hungry before lunch. After lunch, the tremors seemed to abate a little.
Aside from the tremors, if this is the direction things are going with this dosage, then I think this might work out fairly well.

this moment at the end of this interview with hank green really cemented how much of a hero brennan is to me like it literally made me cry!! It speaks so much to his worldview which is so generous and accommodating. Sir you are my hero ;-;;
Please watch the full interview! Genuinely so eye-opening and insightful!!!
Aimsey: [While watching a Hideduo compilation, and seeing Fit message Pac "It's going to be ok"] Aww... That's fcked! Wait, what is it? "Sau–" wait, hold on. How do you say that? "Saudades?"
[He plays a clip of someone pronouncing Saudades and repeats the word several times to copy the pronunciation]
Aimsey: Ohhh, nostalgia! [Reading the definition] "Saudades is a word in Portuguese that claims no direct translation in English. However, a close translation in English would be "desiderium," defined as an ardent desire or longing, especially a feeling of loss or grief for something lost."
Aimsey: It's like "Hiraeth," yeah! It's like the Welsh word! Guys, I can teach you something! Wait- wait- wait– Chat I can teach you something!!! So, in Wales, in Welsh, we have a similar word! We have a similar word, ok? Um... [She plays an audio clip of someone pronouncing "Hiraeth"] Ok, ok, hold on, hold on. We have a similar word, yeah. So, in Welsh, there is the term "Hiraeth," which is a home– ok, I'm gonna explain: "Hiraeth" is a homesickness– lemme, lemme say it in chat... [They type out the word and verbally spell it out letter by letter] I'm gonna spam it.
Aimsey: SO! In Welsh, we have a very similar word, and the- like, the description for it is basically a deep longing for something, especially someone's home. And it's like a homesickness. [Pauses] And there are no direct English translation, but it basically mean like, a homesickness tinged with grief and sadness over the lost or departed. [Reading chat] Yes, you're all saying it right! Yeah, you're all saying it right! You're all saying it right!
Aimsey learns what "saudades" means, and teaches chat a similar word in Welsh. One of my favorite things about QSMP is seeing people learning about other cultures and seeing them get SO EXCITED when they get an opportunity to share their own culture or language with others :')💕
I might’ve spoiled the plot of Natlan | Genshin Impact THEORY
In which I read so much lore that I gained the power to see the future (maybe)
This ended up being a real challenge to make - but it was also really fun! Please do lemme know what you reckon of these ideas, and whether y’all wanna see me pattern-recognition my way into several corkboards worth of theories about any other topics sometime down the line! (^^)/
(also: HAPPY NEW YEAR! 🥳🎉 Here's wishing y'all every good thing for 2024)
Did u get into pnf for the plats or did you get into pnf and then get into plats bc of Perry. This is the burning question we all have
i think ur joking but i was in fact asked this before and no i wasn't already an expert on platypuses before i got into pnf. i just really like perry so i started researching them. and they're cool! would love to see one someday, even though it's unlikely.
AWH... I'm skipping through Roier's QSMP Day 1 VOD because I'm looking for a specific thing, and I just noticed that when Jaiden stands in front of the group to do her introduction and her mic isn't working, Mariana laughs (not in a mean way, I laughed too) and Roier immediately smacks him and tells him off for laughing.
[Timestamp ~36m 50s, volume warning for Quackity's awful mic]
It's such a little thing, but I think it's really sweet in retrospect, especially considering how Roier and Jaiden have become such good friends in recent weeks :')
have you perhaps a list of readings you would recommend to understand better disco elysium/sacred and terrible air? i wouldn't know where to start and your posts are interesting so worth trying to ask :)
aw thank you! Well, I feel like I’m not really that well-read, and the order I read philosophy/history/etc is all over the place lol
If I had to recommend some reading, there is this essay about the pale, that I think is essential to understanding Elysium. :
as for books, I would say Capitalist Realism by Mark Fisher could be a good starting point. And I think it would be worth to read something about these topics:
neoliberalism, capitalism
communism - marxism, history of socialist countries
russian nihilism
christianity - dispensationalism
The devs have said that they were influenced by Hegel, Marx, Slavoj Žižek, Lenin, & they also said they used to be anarchists so I would say reading some anarchist text could be interesting too if you want to really dive into it (idk, Emma Goldmann for example)
You can find a lot of these writings on these websites:
