#Lemon Twist

Sidecar !

Ingredients:

2 ounces VSOP Cognac, Armagnac, or good California brandy

1 ounce Cointreau

3/4 ounce fresh lemon juice

Superfine sugar, for garnish (optional)

Orange or lemon twist, for garnish (optional)

Directions:

Optional: Prepare cocktail glass by making a slit in a lemon wedge and running the cut edge around the rim of the glass; then dip the rim in a saucer of superfine sugar to create a thin crust. Chill the glass until needed.

Combine brandy, Cointreau, and lemon juice in a cocktail shaker and fill with ice. Shake well until chilled, about 10 seconds. Strain into prepared glass; garnish with a twist of orange or lemon peel, if the urge comes across.

The last episode of Larryboy the Cartoon Adventures aired on May 6th, 2003 (according to IMDB). The cartoons were first produced as stand alone videos, with this episode originally released on video on June 10, 2003 (according to wikipidia). Unlike the original VeggieTales and Larryboy shorts, the animated adventures used 2-D animation and was helmed by ex-Disney animator Tom Bancroft. Fifty-Fifty Martinis

One of the simplest cocktails --and martinis-- to mix, these Fifty-Fifty Martinis are nonetheless a beautiful, bright and elegant tipple. One would expect no less from a Harry Craddock creation! Happy Saturday!

Ingredients (serves 1):

45 millilitres/1 1/2 fluid ounces (3 tablespoons) good quality London Dry Gin

45 millilitres/1 1/2 fluid ounces (3 tablespoons) good quality dry vermouth

two dashes orange bitters

2 lemon peels, to garnish (optional)

In a mixing glass, combine London Dry Gin, vermouth and orange bitters. Fill with ice cubes and gently stir with a cocktail spoon.

Strain into two chilled cocktail glasses, and garnish with lemon twists, if desired.

Enjoy Fifty-Fifty Martinis immediately.
