I find the drama between Yu Xiao Gang and Liu Er Long absolutely funny. Like, I think it's supposed to be angsty atleast the way this guy tortures himself over it. But, my dude, you guys are only a lil bit related, and you didn't exactly fall in love and marry each other knowing you were cousins.

Compared to the tragedy of Tang Hao and Ah Yin, this is small fry and it's frustrating that Yu Xiao Gang is just being dense and not acknowledging his relatively good luck - she's only his cousin! Not a soul beast turned human!

Re-watching Soul Land Donghua - Commentary

I've been a big fan of this donghua since the first time I came across it, and I always come back to it. I adore the characters, the colors, the music, literally everything about it.

The (long-ish) Review No One Needed Or Asked For ™ - Love Game in Eastern Fantasy

This is for all the Inuyasha girlies

Character-wise

Meet Ling Miao Miao, our leading lady, played by Esther Yu. Esther only plays cutie-patooties, and Miao Miao is no exception. She's clever, playful, down to earth, self-sacrificing, and if the rainbow was a person (wink wink), I'd say it'd be she.

Mu Sheng is our leading man. Remember what I said about Mr. Bad? Well baby, he is bad. Hot-headed, cruel streak, a literal demon. Siscon. Miao Miao even said so. Tsundere? Lil bit.

Mu Yao and Liu Fu Yi are our noble lovers (because y'all told me so). Their character descriptions are just that: good. And Cui Cui? Baby. Can do no wrong.

Plot-wise

Miao2 (thanks Viki-ers) reads the newly-released novel of her favorite author. After being disappointed by it, she takes it to the internet like any other sensible modern-day person only to get sucked into it. At first, she has a few beginner tasks like any other RPG gamer with the auto save on. The catch? After completing them, she has to complete the hidden task of the game and propel the story to its end.

It's cute. I thought it was gonna be all sunshine and giggles and romcom central. WRONG. Maybe the first 12/13 episodes are cute cdramaland relationship fodder (affectionate) but after that? We really are in this game. It has become real life. The auto save is off, and as for me and my house, we were bracing ourselves for the impact of the ending. Because the logistics. How are we gonna fall in love with a fictional dude, love our friends, then up and leave them behind when the ending comes? Immediate anxiety.

Idk what to call this next point

... I loved it. My original theory was that Sheng got sucked in, so she was gonna play knight-in-shining-armor, but I'm not even mad. Like, the author wrote all these love letters to you in the form of books because you inspired him while he was dealt such a hand in this life. And his wish on that surgery table was that you'd feel that, and that he'd return to you. That wish was indeed magic. I will not be taking complaints about it.

I’m sharing another heartwarming article from one of my favorite movie blogger/s ( 鬽影縫匠) on weibo that appreciates Wang Yibo ✨this was posted 11/6 as a sort of response to the GRA ceremony.

Although the Golden Rooster has ended, the scattered sparks have not been extinguished. Let’s chat about him through the remaining warmth, hoping it’s not too late...

As soon as the name “Wang Yibo” was spoken, the people were immediately divided into three or five camps. Some had thousands of lights flashing in their eyes, and some had a puddle of black water on their chests. Once a person becomes famous, he will become black and white in the world. Likes and dislikes are equally direct and violent, not to mention, he is still a young man standing on the top of the mountain. If someone wants to help him up to the blue clouds, someone will naturally want to pull him down to hell. But his choice surprised me.
