The mineral is gaining preference in countries with the presence of historic structures in terms of restoration. For example, in November 2019, the Public Works Department in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India, introduced a stone roller yard for grinding sand and limestone for plastering, in an attempt to revive a traditional method of restoring heritage structures.
Accelerating demand for limestone witnessed a decline in 2020 on account of the outbreak of the covid-19 pandemic across the world. The pandemic compelled governments worldwide to impose lockdown and halt all sorts of activities, which drastically impacted the demand for limestone. The countries are striving to slowly regain their stability by offering ease in restrictions.
North America is a hard hit region by pandemic as a large number of cases have been reported in the countries, especially the U.S. However, governments in the region have made an attempt to permit operations, such as construction and manufacturing, to operate at minimal capacity. The resumption in construction activities is anticipated to balance the decline in limestone consumption owing to the spread of coronavirus. For example, in July 2020, a Euro 183 million (USD 209.4 million) contract was granted by the Canadian Province of Alberta’s Ministry of Transportation to the consortium of Vinci and Graham for building the final section of the West Calgary Ring Road Project. Such initiatives are anticipated to prove fruitful for market growth.
The global market is characterized by the presence of established players, which makes competitive rivalry extremely high. Many players are integrated across the value chain in order to gain a competitive edge by benefitting form an integrated supply chain. For instance, LafargeHolcin owns limestone quarries in different parts of the world and utilizes the quarried stone in cement, concrete, and aggregates production. In addition, the company is engaged in providing construction solutions. In May 2020, the company resumed its operations at a limestone mine in Meghalaya's East Khasi Hills, India in order to supply the raw material to its cement plant in Bangladesh.

Industrial Air Chiller Market Research, 2031
The global industrial air chiller market was valued at $4.7 billion in 2021, and is projected to reach $7.3 billion by 2031, growing at a CAGR of 4.3% from 2022 to 2031.
The global industrial air chiller market size was valued at $ 4,669.1 million in 2021, and is projected to reach $ 7,252.9 million by 2031, registering a CAGR of 4.3% from 2022 to 2031. Industrial air chillers are used for eliminating heat from various industrial processes. This is achieved by blowing ambient air via a fan around the condenser containing the heated refrigerant or fluid. Industrial air chillers primarily comprise four basic parts, which include condenser, expansion valve, evaporator, and compressor.
A large number of industrial machineries are susceptible to failing, owing to their higher operating temperatures, especially, those use in manufacturing industries. Manufacturing industries use high temperatures in many of their processes and operations such as melting, casting, and welding. Therefore, for controlling temperature of such machines and preventing them from overheating, industrial air chillers are widely used. Furthermore, the pharmaceuticals industry is witnessing a notable growth, owing to rise in elderly population and increase in number of communicable and non-communicable diseases. It uses industrial air chillers for maintaining low temperature for safe storage of drugs and other chemicals. Hence, growth in the pharmaceutical industry is expected to boost demand for industrial air chiller industry. Moreover, rapid rise in the economic standards and global population propel demand of chillers in the energy sector, especially for fuel and electricity. This has led to rise in demand for industrial air chillers in the energy sector.
Major players in the industry offer a wide range of air-cooled chillers for applications in various industries. Furthermore, they have launched new and advanced air-cooled chillers to stay competitive in the market. For instance, in March 2022, Carrier Global Corporation (UK), launched AquaForce Vision 30KAV, a new line air-cooled chiller. This new line comes with R-1234ze, which is an ultra-low global warming potential (GWP) refrigerant. This can provide cooling up to -12degree Celsius, and is applicable in food manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, plastics, and metal industries. Moreover, business expansion strategy plays a vital role in keeping manufacturers competitive. For instance, in August 2021, Blue Star Limited, established an air-cooled chillers testing facility at their R&D center at Maharashtra, India.
Tumblr media
The novel coronavirus had spread rapidly across various countries and regions, causing an enormous impact on lives of people and the overall community. It began as a human health condition and later became a significant threat to global trade, economy, and finance. The COVID-19 pandemic had halted production of many components of industrial air chillers due to lockdown. The economic slowdown initially resulted in reduced spending on various industrial air chillers by industrial and commercial users. However, owing to introduction of various vaccines, the severity of COVID-19 pandemic has significantly reduced. As of mid-2022, the number of COVID-19 cases have significantly reduced. This has led to full-fledged reopening of industrial air chillers manufacturing companies at their full-scale capacities. Furthermore, it has been more than two years since the outbreak of this pandemic, and many companies have already shown notable signs of industrial air chiller market growth.
Furthermore, rise in globalization and increase in internet and other remote communication technologies have significantly contributed toward rapid growth of the IT sector. Computers, servers, and other electronic machineries of the IT sector produce a high amount of heat, which hampers efficiency of the machines. Therefore, the IT sector utilizes industrial air chillers for cooling their machines. In addition, availability of industrial air-cooled chillers in a wide range of capacities and sizes makes them useful for all large- and small-scale industries. These factors are expected to drive demand for industrial air chillers.

Visitors from China must provide a negative COVID test. Here's why that won't prevent infection in Canada
As China deals with the exploding numbers of COVID-19 cases in the wake of its easing of restrictions, Canada announced it is joining several other countries — including the United States, some European countries, India, and Japan — in imposing mandatory COVID-19 testing for travelers coming from the region. Beginning Thursday, air travelers aged two and older arriving in Canada from China, Hong Kong, or Macau will have to provide evidence of a negative COVID-19 test taken before departure.
The Public Health Agency of Canada (PHAC) says the temporary measure is in response to a surge of COVID cases in China and the limited availability of epidemiological and other data related to it.
Specialists in infectious diseases and global health that CBC News spoke to said the move would do little to prevent the virus from coming to Canada in increased numbers. "I'm not alone in my doubts here that these kinds of travel restrictions will have much of an appreciable impact," said Dr. Matthew Oughton, an infectious diseases physician at Montreal's Jewish General Hospital and associate professor of medicine at McGill University.
"This is closing the barn door after the horse has escaped." "It feels like common sense. It feels like the right thing to do. That doesn't mean it is," said Dr. Kerry Bowman, who teaches bioethics and global health at the University of Toronto.
He says data from China suggests that the cases making up the current outbreak are primarily Omicron and its subvariants. These are all problems Canada has been dealing with for a year.
Until a few weeks ago, China had a strict "zero-COVID" policy. Lockdowns were widespread and restrictive. But in early December, following a series of angry protests amid a faltering economy, China abruptly dropped the strict measures that had kept transmission relatively low.
And while the country did offer its population domestically-manufactured COVID-19 vaccines, they were not the effective mRNA-based vaccines used in many other parts of the world, and published data about their efficacy is also limited. Plus, the uptake was low. In November, the China Daily reported that only about 40 percent of China's population aged 80 and older had received two doses plus a booster. It is hoped that officials will raise this number to 90 percent.
All that led to a sudden surge in infections in China over the past month and international travel restrictions, including from Canada. In an email to CBC News, PHAC said low levels of immunity among China's population and an expected increase in travel due to Chinese New Year in mid-January were also factors in the agency's decision to require the test from China and not other countries which also have high levels of infection.
"I think from a political point of view, most people can feel like at least our government is doing something to protect us," Bowman said. "But it doesn't hold up to evidence-based practice standards." PHAC said it imposed the testing requirement because of "the limited epidemiological and viral genomic sequence data available" about China's cases, something many see as a lack of transparency.
"Not necessarily transparency around absolute numbers," said Zain Chagla, an infectious diseases physician and associate professor at McMaster University. "But transparency about genomic sequencing and what's happening from a virus circulation standpoint." For example, whether a newly discovered variant of concern begins to circulate in China.
Some scientists worry China's outbreak could unleash a new Coronavirus variant on the world. This variant may or may not be similar to the ones circulating since every infection is another chance for the virus to mutate. Late last month, the World Health Organization called on China to provide more detailed information about its evolving COVID situation.
"To make a comprehensive risk assessment of the situation on the ground, World Health Organization needs more detailed information on disease severity, hospital admissions, and requirements for ICU support," WHO director-general Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said at the time.
The lack of detailed data from China alone is a valid reason for other countries to be careful, says Oughton. "When you have this huge population undergoing a major wave of disease, and yet at the same time, you don't know what data to trust, it would be prudent to play things cautiously," he said.
The problem with the approach taken is that any appreciable impact would likely come too late. "By the time that you discover there's a problem, especially with a virus like SARS-CoV-2, where you can be infectious even before your first symptoms, it's not much of a surprise that, say, by the time you've started travel restrictions, you've probably already had lots of people traveling, carrying whatever variant it is that they have," Oughton said.
According to the physicians, an alternative would be to increase wastewater testing in Canada — including testing wastewater from planes.
"It's not meant to give you real-time data, but it will at least be a way of screening for new variants, different variants you haven't seen, which may give you some information as to how to predict what is coming in and what could be happening in the weeks to come," said Oughton. Wastewater testing is currently being done in several communities in Canada, with results taking about one to two weeks, according to PHAC.
As part of its announcement about the updated travel rules for China, the health agency said it would begin a pilot project to test wastewater from planes arriving at Vancouver International Airport and expand the existing wastewater testing project at Toronto's Pearson Airport, to assess how prevalent the disease is around the world and identify any new variants of concern. A worthwhile thing, says Chagla, but with room for improvement in terms of how quickly that data is analyzed and used.
"There's lots and lots of work and lots of resources that could be put into that rather than worrying about what's coming over the border," he said, even if that includes a potential threat of virus mutation.
According to Chagla, what's happening locally - with your neighbor or in your community - poses a much greater risk to you than it does to the average traveler from China. And Bowman says it's pertinent to remember that Canada has limitations in data collection now that widespread testing for COVID-19 has all but ended.
"I'm not saying it's limited on the same scale as China," he said, "but we have our shortcomings as well," Bowman suggests that as the world approaches a fourth year of COVID, a better use of resources would be to address ongoing infrastructure issues.
"What we should be doing is getting safe air — fresh, high quality, filtered and circulating air — in schools, in government buildings," he said, acknowledging that while that would both be expensive and take time, it would serve Canadians well against any infection primarily transmitted through the air, including COVID-19, RSV, and influenza. "How much longer do we need to hold on to before we accept that?" he said. "If we don't do it, we will have to pay the price again."

Reactive Dyes Market Size, Industry & Landscape Outlook, Revenue Growth Analysis to 2030
The reactive dyes market is projected to be worth USD 6.93 Billion by 2027, registering a CAGR of 7.3% from 2021-to 2027, confirms MRFR (Market Research Future). We will provide COVID-19 impact analysis with the report, along with all the extensive key developments in the market post the coronavirus disease outbreak.
The COVID-19 outbreak has had a wide-ranging negative impact on the world chemical industry. The reactive dyes market has been quite profitable in the past few years, with the growing demand in the textile industry, among many other end-use applications. But the global market has been hit hard by the novel coronavirus pandemic, taking into account the slackened productivity and demand, shortage of key raw materials, disruptions to the supply chain, and the lockdown imposed across prominent regions. The rising number of SARS-CoV-2 cases has affected some of the top end-use industries in the reactive dyes industry, including paper, leather and textiles, leading to reduced demand and huge revenue loss.
On the brighter side, prominent suppliers of reactive dyes such as Sumika Chemtex Co., Ltd. (Japan), NIPPON KAYAKU CO. LTD. (Japan) and more have been taking up necessary measures to protect their employees, closing down manufacturing facilities to avoid the spread of the pandemic. The financial challenges brought on by the novel coronavirus have also compelled key firms to focus on strengthening their distribution and sales networks as well as supply chains, to prevent further losses.
Primary Boosters and Challenges
Reactive dyes have a wide color range and are mostly used for printing cellulosic fibers such as cotton and linen. Although pigments are the most popular colorants in textile printing, reactive dyes are the most frequently used out of all other dyes, accounting for 30% of the total colorants used in the printing industry. The textile industry has been observing considerable growth, with the surge in disposable income, and evolving consumption patterns among consumers. The constantly evolving fashion trends and the increasing preference for branded clothes have also resulted in growth of the textile industry, and by extension favoring the reactive dyes market. Therefore, the escalating use of reactive dyes in the consistently expanding textile industry could be a major growth booster, over the coming years.
Heightened demand for reactive dyes in textile and leather industries can be accredited to their low cost, higher environmental performance and better technical aspects like broad range of color compatibility as well as excellent wash-fastness. The top firms in the market will be presented with attractive opportunities in the Asia Pacific reactive dyes market, considering the low manufacturing costs and the strong demand for textile and leather dyes in the region. The rapid economic development in China and India has been attracting sizeable investments, with many of the renowned companies striving to set up their reactive dyes manufacturing units in APAC.
Latin America reactive dyes market is another promising contender, brimming with a host of lucrative opportunities for the key leaders. Emergence of prominent end-use industries in the region, including wood, leather, paper, and others that generate colossal demand for reactive dyes is primarily the key reason for the growth of the Latin American market. On a global level, the players are working on developing new products and launching them in the market to boost their customer base and remain ahead of the competition.
Market Segmentation
Reactive dyes market research by MRFR has considered a few key segments, namely type, function and end users.
The primary types of reactive dyes are reactive hot dyes, reactive cold dyes, reactive mild exhaust (ME) dyes, reactive highly exhaust (HE) dyes, and others (reactive 'P' dyes, reactive 'M' dyes, etc.).
Depending on function, the key market segments can be bi-funcational, vinyl sulphone, monochlorotriazine, and others.
With respect to application, the reactive dyes industry includes paper, cotton, leather, nylon, and others (wood and more).
Regional Study
The key regional markets for reactive dyes are APAC/Asia Pacific, North America, Latin America, Europe and MEA/Middle East & Africa.
Asia Pacific is the market leader and is rife with several opportunities, in view of the consistent growth in product demand across industries like textile, paper and leather, especially in China and India. In the wake of economic saturation in North America and Europe, a number of manufacturers are moving their manufacturing base to APAC, as they sense the region’s growth potential. China happens to be a significant producer as well as consumer of reactive dyes in APAC.
Europe has clinched the second lead in the reactive dyes industry, and is quite lucrative, in terms of volume and value after APAC. Italy, the UK and Germany are the biggest markets for reactive dyes in the region, given the well-established textile industry. A major market trend observed in the region is the rising development of organic dyes that are not toxic to the environment.
North America is the third biggest gainer in the global market, with the lead taken by the US, United Mexican States and Canada. The demand for reactive dyes is especially high in industries like paper, leather and textile. Other factors encouraging the market growth in the region can be the well-developed healthcare sector, public infrastructure, and high urbanization level with a strong preference for the latest fashion trends.
Key Players
Some of the highly eminent firms in the global industry are Sumika Chemtex Co., Ltd. (Japan), NIPPON KAYAKU CO. LTD. (Japan), Kiri Industries Ltd. (India), Kevin India Co. (India), Huntsman International LLC. (US), Roop dyes and Intermediates (India), Colourtex (India), Archroma (Switzerland), IM Dye Chem (India), and more.

Covid-19 Variants in Morocco Biomedical Journal of Scientific & Technical Research
Coronavirus disease 2019 is a respiratory sickness that may spread be-tween persons. It is caused by a novel coronavirus that produces an outbreak in Wuhan, China and spread all over the world to become a pandemic. From the appearance of the first case of the new coronavirus in Morocco, Moroccan authorities has spared no effort to promote the health of Moroccans, ahead of that of the country’s economy. On 28th January, the campaign started, and the King of Morocco was the 1st Moroccan to be vaccinated against the coronavirus. Thereafter, on 27 April 2021, the people fully vaccinated in Morocco is 11,47 %. In December 2020, a new variant of SARS-CoV-2 emerged in the UK (United Kingdom) before entering Morocco. With a transmissibility of 30 to 70% higher than the strains of SARS-CoV-2 previously circulating in the world, UK variant is present in seven regions of Morocco. Other variants emerged in Brazil, South Africa, and recently in India. Thus far, only two cases of Indian variant have been detected in Morocco. This study demonstrates that Morocco is controlling the propagation of Covid-19 pandemic and specially Covid-19 variants by anticipating lockdown and partial containment.
