Alright. Willis Todd being an abusive father to Jason is a trope often utilized. Comparing this version of him to Bruce's reactions to Red Hood is fantastic. Lots to analyze there.
However, I raise you. There needs to be more fanwork addressing the classism behind Willis Todd being characterized as an abusive alcoholic. In some version of canon, Willis Todd was a good dad in a shitty situation. He was poor, his wife (Catherine) was sick, and he had a newborn baby he needed to provide for. In this horrid situation, where he has no family to fall back on and no higher education to obtain a decent well-paying job, he tries to get quick money. He's desperate to keep both his wife and son alive.
Catherine turns to drugs because it's easier and cheaper to buy drugs than healthcare. The pain she experiences is debilitating, and she'd do anything to not feel pain for one godsdamned second. Unfortunately, this turns into an addiction.
This ultimately shapes the way that Jason views crime. Bruce, while he may be sympathetic to individuals who resort to crime to pay their bills, will not understand huddling in Crime Alley in the dead of winter as he debates whether to buy food or pay for heating. He won't understand the bitterness, hatred, pain, and resignation of never having enough money to survive as you get chewed up again and again.
If Jason's dad is just an abusive criminal, that not only perpetuates the notion that all criminals are evil, but it will shape how Jason views those who commit crime. Breaking the law doesn't make someone bad. There's plenty of reasons people commit crime, whether to survive, protect someone, or something else. The issue, especially in Gotham, is the system that perpetuates wealth inequality through bribes and unethical governmental practices.
Anyway, I think Jason's Red Hood is more fleshed out if it accounts for him acknowledging the desperation behind goons and small-time criminals because he grew up without other options.

Concept: In The Burning Maze, I think it would have been cool if one of the crossword puzzles in the labyrinth had been a mathematical equation.
Specifically, a mathematical equation on mathematical logic, such as negations.
Why? Because Apollo is the god of mathematics and I think it would be funny if Grover and Meg were standing there, staring with horror at:
~(~(p^q))
"What is this nonsense?" Asks Meg, a literal sixth grader who has never before encountered college-level math.
"I...I don't know!" Responds Grover, anxiously wringing his hands. He also has never come across something like this before. "I never went to high school!"
"Is it code for something?"
"The little carrot there looks kinda like a Greek Delta- is Daedalus related somehow?"
"A carrot-what?"
"The carrot!" Grover points at the symbol between the 'p' and 'q'. "It looks like the Delta symbol!"
"Oooh. Okay."
The sentence below the odd thing reads;
Solve my riddle,
Or play second fiddle,
You can find me in education,
For I am the ________!
"...What does that mean?" Grover whimpers.
Meg looks stumped.
"...negation," Apollo's staring at the strange equation. "'Solve my riddle, or play second fiddle. You can find me in education, for I am the negation!'. That's the missing word in the rhyme."
They stare at him. "How do you know that?" Grover bewilderedly asks. "It makes no sense!"
"Math logic," Apollo simply says. "This particular one is...about first, second-year level in college, I'd say."
Grover closes his eyes, muttering; "No wonder I couldn't solve it." as Meg stares first at the equation, then at Apollo.
"What even is a negation?"
"That," Apollo points to the squiggly lines. "It cancels the truth values out, giving you the opposite of what's inside the parathesis."
"...What?"
Apollo huffs. "The 'p' and 'q' both represent something, like two parts of a sentence. The carrot can be upside-down or right-side-up, representing 'or' or 'and' in that sentence."
"Which way is up when?" Grover looked to be on the verge of tears as the realization math did not, in fact, end with numbers or numbers and letters.
"Uh..." Apollo made a 'V' with his hands. "If it's like this, it's 'or'. If it's like this," he made a tiny pyramid with his hands. "It's 'and'. Imagine a line through the center, like an 'A'. That's 'and'."
Grover rubbed at his eyes. "Too much," he whimpered. "Too much."
Apollo gave him an awkward pat on the shoulder. "In this case," he said. "It's saying 'and'. The negation, well, negates their values, so it becomes-" he pats his pants and looks in his pockets. "Anyone have a pen and paper...?"
Blank looks met his. "Okay, then...then just imagine a squiggly line in front of the 'p' and 'q'. That's what the first negation does. Then the second one negates that negation, taking the squiggly lines away."
Breathing in, he finished with; "So our mathematical answer would be, 'p and q', written with the carrot right-side-up- like the 'A'."
The tunnel was silent.
Then it was broken. "How do you know all that?" Meg demanded, looking extremely confused. "That makes no sense. I thought there were numbers."
"There are," Apollo patiently explained. "But this is a logic problem, and they don't do numbers."
"Never before have I been grateful to not to have to go to college," Grover rubbed at his temples. "Algebra was bad enough. Now this?"
"Hey!" Apollo looked slightly offended. "It's all quite fun, really, when you figure it out! Besides, we didn't even have to solve it!"
"Then why did you?" Meg asked.
Apollo stared at her. "Because you asked me too-!"
"Nope." She blew a raspberry. "None of us did."
He closed his eyes, as if praying for mercy.
"Anyway," Apollo gave both of them the stink-eye. "Math and music were quite intertwined back in the day, so the Muses and I are quite adept at it- Thalia's the geometry queen, and whatever you do, do not say 'Bet you can't solve this in a minute' to Urania. She will make you look stupid."
"Bet that's not hard."
"Oh, shut up."
insert cackle from Meg
"ANYWAY," Apollo gives her the stink-eye. "Ancient Greece was a breeding ground for mathematical minds- Pythagoras, for one, who was my son to boot! Even Hestia enjoys looking over Hephaestus's construction equations in her spare time."
The other two stared at him, as if shocked the gods would find math, of all things, fun.
Apollo awkwardly glanced away from them. He didn't know what their reactions would be if he told them of the many contributions he has made to the world of mathematics. For some reason, silly mortals didn't seem to appreciate the hard work put into them!
Sighing, he said; "Uh, Labyrinth, the answer is 'negation'. We got side-tracked there for a bit."
One hallway in front of them glowed with the answer. Without another word, they quickly speed-walked down the passage-way.

I know it’s a semi popular belief that Padmé dated before Anakin but I’d say the interpretation comes from the illusion that she’s had more freedom than Anakin growing up and less restrictions, but that’s not really accurate. Padmé might have been more fortunate than Anakin but she had as many restrictions on herself as he did as a Jedi. She was the kind of person that didn’t have any time to waste and bypassed anything she deemed unnecessary in favour of pursuing her career. This same Padmé wouldn’t have entangled herself with people if she wasn’t serious about them, so the idea of her having passing fancies and short term relationships doesn’t really add up with the way her character is built. She’s a well known dutiful person who always prioritized her career over her desires. And this is leaving out the part that nobody ever made her desire them before Anakin as well, hence why she was super occupied thinking about her duties and responsibilities instead of dreaming of her happily ever after. That dream only became reality when Anakin came back into her life, and we already know that nobody was good enough to catch her eye before him.
Anakin was the first and only man that made her break her protocols to marry him because he was the only man that made her fall in love and reaffirm herself as person who could live, love and laugh a little. And even with Anakin, Padmé attempted to deny his love and their relationship for quite awhile. Saying this same Padmé who’s super strict and oriented about her reputation and career would get herself into a relationship for someone she’s not super serious about or want a family with? It just doesn’t make sense. Plus the fact that Padmé wanting a family doesn't mean she's the type to try out different relationships till she meets “the one", that's quite the opposite of her personality. 1.) because as I mentioned above, she didn’t have time to waste on passing fancies and frankly didn’t care cause no one intrigued her and 2.) because of her passion for her duty and lack of interest in anyone around trying to woo her. Sola in the AOTC novel literally had to force Padmé to think about having a family because she's so focused on career and Padmé tells her that she's satisfied that way despite that she does desire more to her life than what she had at that point, and she only completely changes her mind until she met Anakin again. This was the whole point of Padmé feeling lonely before marrying Anakin, it is indicative of the fact that Padmé only cared for her responsibilities and obligations because she didn’t feel that connection with anyone that she felt with Anakin.

Spotlight: Jazz is peak Prowl being able to comfort Jazz even though Jazz doesn't want to open up about how he's feeling and Prowl completely respects that
i love their dynamic so much here and in "all hail megatron", it's such a shame that their connection ended up being completely forgotten in the rest of idw series... reading "optimus prime" and coming across that one frame, observing what we have had and lost because the authors couldn't keep in mind how and who they were writing... it actually hurts
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
you guys. you guys! why are you doing this to us. why is it so hard for you to keep track on your story!! why do we have to see their relationship... fall apart?? without a decent look at it?? somewhere out there, in the background?? we're just left with the fact that they are over or maybe never even were there in the first place
prowl and jazz had so much potential at some point of idw history. the way how well they worked together despite all the difficulties, how sincerely prowl supported jazz even though he remained very closed off and aloof the whole time, how he really tried to be a good loyal friend, respected jazz's personal boundaries, didn't push, didn't go too far with his concern, didn't except anything in return and was just there to help... a rare bright moment for this version of my poor boy :'D
there were so many opportunities to develop this further, to show how they could exist in the new cybertronian future for which they had gone through so much hardship, how could they fight all the problems that were coming down on them, together, exactly as it was on earth. but, alas, we have to accept that they were quickly brushed aside and forgotten. a little time passes and they become strangers. forever. their entire bond is just erased. because that's how idw works with their characters...

Prompt 315
We all know the idea of Danny getting adopted by one of the batfam. But hear me out: Danny gets adopted by Vampire Dick Grayson.
Danny honestly, did not mean to dimension hop, nor did he mean to get this injured in the first place, where his vision is spinning and there’s greenRedGreenGreenGREEN spilling from his body like he’s melting from the inside. He didn’t mean to get caught, he just didn’t want Dan to happen again, not again and the GIW had seen him flying and-
And now he’s here, wherever here is, smoke in his lungs making it even harder to breathe than it was before. And there’s a shadow approaching, a flicker of crimson in his blurry vision, and there’s claws tilting his head and then something burns-
Dick? Call it nostalgia perhaps, seeing this small child, so much like his little wing and baby bird once were, white streak and corpse-pale skin and all. He just wished for his dear brothers to join him, that’s all he wanted, and perhaps Damian won’t be so bitey if he got a friend…

The fandom doesn't give Fuyumi enough credit. It's clear from her dialogue here that she knows and acknowledges the wrongness of The Hellish Todoroki Family. From her perspective, it's so warped that it isn't "a real family".
Fuyumi had a clear understanding of what cogs were turning concerning her family. It started with Shouto obtaining a healthy support system for the first time at U.A., which allowed him to reconcile with Rei. Then Rei began to improve after Enji starting putting in an effort after Kamino. (There is an implication that Fuyumi was well aware that Enji was making no effort towards their family until recently).
Sharing a meal is symbolically an act of peacemaking or understanding. Fuyumi kept trying to make her family come together for a meal because she wanted them to come to a mutual understanding and/or hash things out like "a normal family".
But Natsuo would only eat at the table if Enji was not present, and Enji refused to come to the table at all. They could not share a meal together, so Fuyumi felt like she failed.
Tumblr media
But Shouto was correct here that this was an improvement. The three Todoroki children were able to come to an understanding with this meal prepared by Fuyumi. Natsuo and Shouto set clear lines about what they could not forgive and the difference between Endeavor and Enji. Fuyumi and Shouto communicated about their expectations for the family. Fuyumi wanted to chase the aspiration of "a real family" while Shouto expressed that he wanted to observe Enji's efforts as a father. Natsuo was able to express his grievances towards his abusive father to his face without pushback.
Fuyumi set the bar too high for herself here. In a family as dysfunctional as the Todorokis, a shared meal with just three of its members where they make peace with one another is a significant accomplishment.

A Review of Filtration Performance of Protective Masks - PMC
With H5N1 reported in at least two* humans in the past month, we need to talk about airborne transmission and how masks work. Again.
(*edit: https://www.cidrap.umn.edu/avian-influenza-bird-flu/oregon-reports-first-h5-case-farm-worker-california-reports-5-more)
Is flu airborne?
Generally yes. Even if it is not the most efficient mode of transmission for every virus.
Citations:
https://www.nih.gov/news-events/nih-research-matters/testing-transmission-infection-h5n1-cows
https://newsinhealth.nih.gov/2023/12/clearing-air
"...recently measured how often virus is exhaled by people with the flu. He found that about 80% exhaled some influenza, the virus that causes flu. Most of the virus was found in the tiny airborne aerosols. People didn’t have to cough or sneeze to expel these viruses into the air. The flu virus was detectable in the air after normal breathing and talking."
Do N95 masks protect against viruses smaller than 300 nm (.3 microns)?
Also yes, because masks do NOT work like a sieve:
N95s employ electrostatic filtering to keep viruses stuck to the mask rather than passing through.
Brownian motion (particles moving through fluids / air randomly) also helps them get stuck to the surface.
And this is why you don't want to be touching the front of your mask, nor storing it improperly. For example, if you take it off and put it in your pocket, and then your hand later goes in that same pocket, then wipes your nose...
See also:
youtube
For the time being it should be relatively easy to avoid other modes of transmission since we have protective measures for public health — like pasteurization. But certain individuals who entertain "alternative facts" directly state that they want to dismantle such protections in favor of Appeal to Nature fallacy (e.g. "raw milk is best"), and they are currently being picked to lead government agencies.

So at first I was like why tf isn't Callum in Runaan's conversation with Ezran? Soren and Corvus are here but not Callum!? no way he had something more important to do than this.
But ofc he did, he was busy preparing a cute singing animal boat for his gf
Tumblr media
At first I thought this wasn't the case because this was the next day but Callum doesn't really specify a day, just that they spent all day working on it (and maybe he spent more than one).
Also Stella and Bait aren't with Rayla and Ezran in this scene.
Tumblr media
They were rehearsing with Callum. Callum missed something so important just to give Rayla something cute because he knows she would love it and no matter how the conversation with Ezran went‚ she needed some joy after everything. I'm so unwell.

I can't rewrite this season but if it was up to me, I'd still have the Umbrellas sacrificing themselves to save the timeline and at the end we see the Umbrellas still alive, but they're all living different lives and perhaps with varied ages to show that its not their existence that caused the timeline to get fucked up, but the marigold that started everything.
The Umbrellas were always meant to exist and live, but it was the marigold that caused the timeline getting muddled and disrupted their existence. Without it, the Umbrellas (and every other kids that were created by the marigold) were able to be born and live their lifes normally like they were always meant to.
Would it still have a lot of plotholes? Yes. Would it make sense? Perhaps not but at least its better than what they implied with the ending which is very upsetting and dangerous the longer you think about it.
