Submitted Prompts #137
Sam Manson found an old diary of her mother's, and upon reading it she learned of four things. Her mother was married twice, she was named after her mother's ex husband, she has an older sister, and her sister is none other than Lois Lane.

Is that [Melissa Barrera]? No, that’s [Lois Lane], AKA [N/A]! [She] appears to be [28]. [She] has the abilities of [tenacity, investigative skills] which makes them a powerful [civilian].
Tumblr media
Lois is an army brat born on the Ramstein Air Base in Germany. She moved to Metropolis when she was 18 for college, and majored in (you won't believe this) journalism. From the start, Lois was determined to discover the heart of things, so people could be informed about the world around them -- she felt like it was important for people to know the truth, whatever it may be. There is no knowledge without truth, and everyone knows that knowledge is power. She moved to Gotham when she graduated at 21, and got a job at the Gotham Gazette.
Her mother, Ella, died when she was young, and she’s never been particularly close to her father, Sam -- maybe it’s because they’re more similar than they like to believe, or simply because, from a very young age, Lois felt like she was never good enough. Like she just didn’t measure up somehow. They don’t talk very much and only see each other on major holidays. She has a younger sister, Lucy, who she feels has always been favored by their father. She loves her sister, and she’ll always be there for her if she needs her, but there’s an unspoken distance between them (one that Lois doesn’t talk about with anybody).
personality:
Loyal, determined, brave
Reckless, impatient, stubborn
oddities:
Lois’s dad taught her extensive combat techniques, along with marksmanship and how to handle knives. She has a black belt in karate and has even received some training from a Green Beret.
She took her first journalism class in high school, simply looking for a way to fill an open elective slot. She fell in love with the new mode of storytelling.
Although print journalism has always been her main foray into media arts, she had a radio show in college. It aired at 2 a.m., and they played a lot of local indie music.
Once a week, Lois gets coffee with the other female reporters at the Gotham Gazette (unfortunately, there aren’t that many), so they can encourage each other.
She doesn’t have time for a pet, but she does have a houseplant (a spider plant) that she has named Charlotte.
goal:
Win a Pulitzer before 40
Write informative, honest articles, no matter what her editor (or anyone else) might have to say about it
sexuality (and pronouns): Bisexual, she/her
age: 28

I genuinely think that the most ridiculous retcon/inconsistency/change-between-iterations is the fact that Lois Lane’s mother has had four (4) differently spelled first names.
And I think this directly relates to how irritated it makes me that she doesn’t have a last name. Eighty years of history, enough adaptations and comic runs that featured her - enough to give her four first names - but never, not once, not even in a TV show or an Elseworlds story, has Lois’ mother gotten a maiden name.
I really don’t think I’m asking too much if I want to know more about Lois’ family. We all know Martha Kent, née Clark, and Martha Wayne, née Kane. Heck, I’m fairly sure the Kane side of the Bat family tree is going to be heavier than the Wayne side.
Lois Lane has had enough history and importance that we could dive a bit into her family, her mother’s side. Smallville did it, they gave her a whole cousin on her mother’s side - and still no last name for that family.
All three of the secret affairs of Lionel Luthor and mothers of his illegitimate children have last names, damn it. All I’m asking here is to spare one last name for Elayne-Elinore-Eleanor-Ellen ‘Ella’ Lane.

( shin seyoung, she/her, cursed blood ) to RHEYLA RYU, the whole world looks like an open page. with a leap of faith, their ability of OBJECTIVE PRECOGNITION grows a little stronger. they are a MARTEN PINE FOX shade aligned to HOUSE of BELTRAN. for TWENTY-NINE years, they have survived a world of magic with both their PRAGMATISM and IMPUDENCE. they work as a FREELANCE JOURNALIST AND PARANORMAL INVESTIGATOR, but if they could change their fate, they’d want to BRUSH ASIDE UNNECESSARY INFLUENCE AND LIVE HER HEART’S TRUTH.

&. ⸻ BASICS
name — gadriel. rheyla ryu, legally changed

birthdate — march 23
zodiac — aries
birthplace — selphia
sexuality — biromantic pansexual
alignment — chaotic good
temperament — choleric
element — fire
primary vice — wrath
primary virtue — diligence
house — beltran
occupation — freelance journalist and paranormal investigator
markings — curse mark on her inner thigh
&. ⸻ HEADCANONS
the birth daughter of lady silk, she is the youngest of three. her sister is seraphim, head of fraser, and her eldest brother is ulysses lebeau or gabriel, though this isn’t readily known. seraphim is the only sibling she is aware of at this time. their relationship is strained at best.
rei would have her name legally changed in an effort to distance herself from her mother and her practices. the surname would stem from her father, an action of further petty spitefulness.
speaking of her father, rei is also a cousin of gabriella ryu and naksu, with her father serving as a direct relative of the ryu clan. he remains her only living parental figure at this stage, though he has been jailed in relation to the ryu crime organization, which he would never truly disclose. rei has only recently come to know of the family deeds, in part, and she is still mostly in the dark. her father would lead her to believe he acted separately from family wishes, protecting them further.
she would spend time with her father’s side of the family quite often in her efforts to keep her mother’s influence at bay and stray from any ongoing abuse in her youth. a consequence of this time spent would have her watching over the ryu family brood, serving as gabriella’s keeper in particular. in time, her ‘nanny’ status would become something of an official title, though it’s become less of a necessity in the passing years given the ages of all involved.
having lady silk as a mother, one would imagine similar tendencies present in rei as her sister and one would be correct in this assessment in most ways. particularly in the level of stress endured, which has never quite left rei entirely. in fact, she seems to thrive in it, given the nature of her work. rei was wise enough to abandon her family ‘legacy’ when of proper age to know the difference between genuine love and what her mother spouted. and while she would prefer her sister wise up as well, rei has never directly spoken to sif on this concern in great depth.
for all her mother has done, however, rei is still conflicted enough on her relations to maintain cordialness with her stepmother especially, and occasionally, her sister.
as a child, she was absolutely someone who snuck around the house to read comics and enjoyed wrestling in secret during her usual ‘sick’ days, her take-charge nature easily falling in line with aspirations to be heroes of their caliber. in her own right, at least. and while more disillusioned these days, that hero tendency still thrives heavily in her bones.
she is just as athletic as she’s always been, heavily involved in sports of all kinds without her mother’s immediate knowledge. these days, her boundless energy is expelled by running around town at all hours of the day, chasing leads or the ryu brood.
her investigative work is carried in tandem with tivan savio’s firm and while little more than a glorified secretary some days, she finds value and freedom in what she does. the stray dog strut investigative offices serve as a second home, with a majority of her day spent in service to others on mostly her own terms.
naturally drawn to such phenomena, supernatural fiction is her favorite genre, followed by a good old fashioned thriller.
she tends to follow plenty of outlets that specialize in paranormal work, especially, and blogs on similar subjects in her free time.
she owns an enchanted lighter that, once clicked, has the ability to transform her into literal smoke and travel freely in this form. it resembles a zippo, but thinner, rounder, and marble green in color.
enchantments aside, she is also a regular enough smoker.
her status as a cursed blood is recent, just shy of two weeks. she has absolutely no recollection of the incident in question, having blocked out the trauma of it all entirely.
&. ⸻ DREAMSHADE FORMS
pine marten fox ( base ) — essentially, an american pine marten weasel with a fox tail and fox ears. it is, frankly speaking, something of a go-to form despite the brief amount of time she’s come to be a cursed blood. — for reference: here
nine-tailed fox ( hollow ) — her ultimate form and one she has absolutely no clue about. — for reference: here
&. ⸻ ABILITY
objective precognition — the ability to perceive future events based on others intentions. even before her transformation, rei has always been attuned to the divine and spiritually inclined, her talents of perception incredibly keen. she’s found her ability dramatically enhanced since, resulting in her capacity for more diligent future sight.
&. ⸻ CURSE
ella enchanted — lady silk would go a step further in ensuring the life of rei was more to her standards by cursing the poor girl to absolute obedience and an inability to refuse her. how this was accomplished has never been known by rei directly. this curse, perhaps without silk’s knowledge, also extends to any command given by another. rei has done her best to hide this from anyone, so even sif is unaware. still, because of what it entails, rei is prone to being found doing plenty of odd favors even when she wishes she could refuse.

( karla souza. 41. she/her. cis female. ) are you a CIVILIAN? something tells me that the smell of black coffee in the morning, the instinctive drive to chase a scoop and not knowing just when to quit make you who you are, LOIS LANE-KENT. with the powers of A BRILLIANT REPORTER, you’re sure to have a confident, stubborn personality — and you definitely belong to UNAFFILIATED. were you listening to SHE LOOKS SO PERFECT by 5SOS on your way to the subway? it suits you. we can’t wait to see what you do next!
also how does a 41 year old have a 21 year old ? comic book time ! don’t look too closely.
@reshieldedintro
character name: lois joanne lane-kent age: 41 faceclaim: karla souza voiceclaim: karla souza skill set: great journalistic skills, skilled martial artist ( not batman levels ofc but she’s picked up a few things ) affiliations: superman, her children, friends of clark  family: general samuel “sam” lane ( father, deceased ), ella lane ( mother ), martha kent ( mother-in-law ), jonathan kent ( father-in-law ), clark kent ( husband ), jonathan samuel kent ( son ), conner kent/kon-el ( son ), kara danvers/kara zor-el ( cousin-in-law ), rest of the el family ( in-laws ) zodiac: virgo  wiki link: here ya go
was your character “blipped” out? if so, what did they return to and how is it affecting them? if not, who important to them was blipped out, and what has it felt like after those five years have passed? ( if your character is a dc muse:  what were they doing when they passed through the portal? )
lois was at the daily planet working on a scoop late night ( which she tries to minimise these days ) but then a portal appeared. and since lois cannot resist venturing into the unknown, she stepped through, looking at a world that looked like new york but wasn’t hers. but before she could go back, portal closed.
where are they living? are they living with anyone?
at the moment, she’s rented out a room in a hotel. hopefully she’ll be able to find a more solid place to stay. she is alone atm !
why is your character affiliated with who they’re affiliated with?
right now she’s unaffiliated because she doesn’t trust shield or sword and she doesn’t have powers.
who are their major friends, allies, and foes?
clark, jon, kon and kara are her family. friends and allies include the justice league and their family. foes are whoever superman’s foes are.
whose hands do they believe the country should be in?
it’s not lois world so she doesn’t have an opinion ( surprise, surprise ) on it. but in general it’s whoever actually cares about the country.
what’s their current mental state at? their physical state?
you know what ? right now she’s good ! she’s worried for her kids but once she realises they’re good, she’ll go back to being good. physically, she’s a healthy woman.

So...has Lois’ mother ever been a major character/part of her backstory? It dawned on me that from the comics and shows I’ve consumed, I don’t recall ever seeing her, nor knowing her name. I feel like there’s a lot of potential here, particularly in regards to her position on the conflict between her daughter and her husband, her opinion on Clark as her son-in-law, interacting with her grandkids, etc.
She's consistently Ella Lane (whether that means Elayne or Elanor), but I don't know of her ever being anything but a passive secondary figure beside her husband, even in the original version where they were farmers.

Another Top 10 Female TV Characters (In no particular order)
I posted something like this before but I added some favorite characters and I had to get my feelings down in writing :) You can read my other post, but in summation, the characters I mentioned before were: El Hopper, Anne Shirley, Lorelai Gilmore, Annie Edison, Joyce Byers, Paris Geller, Lois Lane, Jess Day, Midge Maisel, and Millie Helper.
Joey Potter (Dawson’s Creek):
Joey is one of the best characters in Dawson’s Creek. In my opinion the show should have been called “Joey’s Creek” :) She was a far more interesting character than Dawson. I haven’t finished the show yet so I don’t have too much to say about her, but from what i’ve heard she finally achieves her dreams and ends the series in a happy place, which makes me happy. What I do know is that Joey is extremely driven, creative, and smart. She’s also a character who has been through so much and has made it to the other side to be a very strong and kind person.
Rory Gilmore (Gilmore Girls):
Alexis doesn’t get enough love for her portrayal of Rory. You gotta figure that this was Alexis’ first role ever and she was able to show a lot of emotion in this part, while also being extremely adept at the comedy as well. Rory had her ups and downs but i’ve always been a Rory defender. She’s not perfect, but I also would say that makes her a well rounded character. She’s smart, kind, and an amazing friend.
Robin Buckley (Stranger Things):
Robin was such an important and fun addition to Stranger Things. She immediately brought such a new and dynamic atmosphere to the show. She’s a genuis... I mean, she fucking cracked a professional Russian code in a day. She’s hilarious and Maya is a tremendous actress. How she can go into a really serious and emotional scene and then go straight into a hilarious scene where she’s high with Steve is just simply amazing.
Veronica Mars (Veronica Mars):
Veronica Mars is my favorite character in the original  3 seasons of Veronica Mars. She’s talented, badass, and snarky/really funny. Veronica is a character who could benefit from therapy, but she’s very stubborn and in the 4th season seems to be adverse to the idea of going to therapy. She has been through more than any high schooler should go through. Even before the events of the 1st season. Her parents divorce, she is raped at a high school party, her best friend is murdered, her father, who was the sheriff at the time, accused her boyfriend’s father of killing her friend/her boyfriend’s sister. Because of that event, her and her boyfriend broke up and she lost her group of friends. Hopefully you followed with that last one cause it’s pretty complicated lol. And that’s just the events before the 1st season. Despite that or possibly because of that, Veronica has become a very strong and tenacious girl with a strong love of justice. She is also a loyal friend.
Jeannie Nelson (I Dream Of Jeannie):
Jeannie is so sweet and loyal. She is my favorite character in I Dream Of Jeannie. There is truly never a dull moment with Jeannie around. She’s brings the crazy into any situation and I mean that in the best way possible. No, but seriously she is such a positive and sweet character until you cross her and then as a magical genie you will wish you had never been born ;) Also what fun Barbara must have had playing that character, not only because of all the crazy situations she got to play, but also Jeannie had the best wardrobe ever!
Laura Petrie (The Dick Van Dyke Show):
Laura was such a unique TV character for the time. In the early days of Television there were usually two types of women characters. You had the June Cleaver, stay at home, always dressed immaculately in a dress and apron, always there for some sage advice for her children type of character. And then you had the nagging wife/magnet for trouble like Lucy Ricardo. I don’t want to do too much of a disservice to Lucy cause she is a very beloved TV character and in some ways was very ahead of her time. Yet Laura was very different than those two types of characters. She was supremely real in every way. She wore pants a lot, she had breakdowns because at times being a stay at home mom was difficult and thankless, she talked like a real person would not like a June Cleaver or a Donna Stone. She was funny, talented. At one point, Sally was taking a leave of absence from Rob’s TV show that he was a head writer for and Laura asked to help out in any way. Rob agreed for her to be a typist for them, to at least fill some of the void of Sally’s absence. During that time, Laura actually comes up with some jokes and helps with the writing of the show as well.  She was a dancer, she is proficient in self defense. She was truly an amazing character and so unique for an early 1960s TV show.
Olivia Dunham (Fringe):
Anna was an actress who took me completely by surprise. The first few episodes of Fringe, I didn’t feel like she was such an amazing actress, yet as the show went on, Anna really showed herself to be an Emmy worthy actor. She got to play so many different versions of this character as well. She played the original Olivia and then we meet Olivia from an alternate universe and there are some big ways and some subtle ways that those two versions of Olivia are different. There’s a character named William Bell and he is played by Leonard Nimoy. For a stretch of like three episodes, Olivia gets inhabited by William Bell. So it’s Anna Torv doing a hilarious and really well done impression of Leonard Nimoy/his character in Fringe, her mannerisms are so funny in those episodes!! Yes, this show probably sounds crazy.... it is but in the best possible way, everyone should go watch it :) I remember when I became endeared to her character. It was when I saw her interact with her niece, Ella. It showed such a soft and real side of her. She’s a protector, she’s badass, she’s an incredible mother, wife, sister, friend, and aunt.
Astrid Farnsworth (Fringe):
Astrid is such a fun character in Fringe. She’s very endearing and real and funny. I’m sad that during the run of the show, we didn’t get to see more of her, but all that we did get was so much fun. The lab scenes are some of my favorites. The dynamic of Astrid, Walter, and Peter is just the best! Also the alternate universe Astrid is the purest and sweetest angel and must be protected at all costs :)
Sookie St James (Gilmore Girls):
The character of Sookie was really important in my opinion she is a beautiful plus size woman where her size did not define her, she was not the butt of the joke. She is a well respected chef, a loving mother, friend, and wife. When people think of Melissa McCarthy, they don’t typically first think of this role, but in my opinion it’s the best role of her career. She’s very funny in this part, but it’s a different and more low key kind of comedy than some people are used to seeing her in. BTW Drunk Sookie is iconic!! LOL
Lane Kim (Gilmore Girls):
Another character in Gilmore Girls that is underappreciated. She an incredibly talented drummer and she largely taught herself to play the drums. I can’t remember if the music store owner ever taught her but I feel like didn’t. I think she just let her use the display drums until Lane could buy them. Lane is funny and cool and a supportive friend. All the actors in Gilmore Girls were great at the dramatic bits as well, and Keiko was no different, some of those scenes between Lane and Mrs Kim really broke my heart which is credit to Emily and Keiko’s acting ability.

Was that ERICA DURANCE? Oh no no, that was just LOIS LANE, a CANON CHARACTER from SMALLVILLE/DC COMICS. They are THIRTY-EIGHT years old and ARE NOT aware that they are not actually from Washington DC. Too bad they can’t stray from this city for long. {ooc: angie, 26, gmt, she/her}
Tumblr media
trigger warnings: cancer and death mention.
how long has your character been here
she has just arrived upon working on a story about the mythical magical parallel city of washington but has lost all memories of her real past.
what is your character's job
lois is an investigative reporter, pulitzer winner previously working for the daily planet and currently working for the biggest newspaper in the city.
where has your character been pulled from in their fandom
canon to post smallville, lois was living in metropolis and working at the daily planet as one of the best investigative reporters in the world. she was married to clark kent and mother to three children — jon kent of age 8 and two twin girls, lara and ella, of age 5 (but that can be adjusted if anyone applies for clark!). she was working on a story about this parallel city when she was ‘sucked’ into this new world.
has any magic affected your character
lois has no recollection of her past life or what she was working on. as far as she remembers, she lived her life the same way as in canon — being an army brat, going to smallville for a brief period before moving to washington for college and staying to build her career. there are a few gaps that she can’t yet make sense of.
WANTED CONNECTIONS: clark kent in any capacity, lucy lane & chloe sullivan!!, dc characters because that’s fun, fellow journalists who either are or not aware of the situation in place, friends, frenemies, friends with benefits, exes, enemies/targets she has exposed, army brat friends, etc.
HEADCANONS:
little run down for those who are not familiar: she talks a lot, initially can be seen as rude and insensitive but actually very compassionate and empathetic. loyal to a tee, too curious for her own good, always getting herself in trouble.
her dad is a three-star army general and they moved during all her childhood, both inside the country and abroad
her mother died from cancer when she was six years old, has one younger sister named lucy and their dad was very absent from their lives
allergic to cats and dogs
bisexual so any and all possible partners are accepted
failed her senior year of high school, needing to finish a semester when she was in smallville, kansas visiting her cousin chloe sullivan
studied journalism in metropolis university (but she now thinks it was in washington)
has won a pulitzer
could live off of coffee and donuts

New Muse
Name: Lois Lane
Tumblr media
Age: Verse dependent but main probably would be 18-24...the age she was on Smallville with maybe a verse for the Crisis timeline which would probably about 32-34.
FC: Erica Durance
birthdate: around 1986
Family: Sam Lane (father), Ella Lane (Mother, deceased), Lucy Lane (sister), Chloe Sullivan (cousin), Moira Sullivan (aunt), Gabe Sullivan (Uncle)
bio: Growing up as an army brat left Lois with hand to hand combat skill. navy seal training, and is also a third degree black belt with an extremely high pain tolerance.   She came to Smallville looking into the “death” of her cousin Chloe and met Clark Kent upon arriving in Smallville.
Personality: strong, resourceful, persistent, intelligent, witty, brave, stubborn, insecure, seeks approval from her father, bold, shameless.
hobbies: running, swimming, martial arts, enjoys video games.
Fandom: DC/DCEU/Smallville/ Arrowverse/ willing to crossover with pretty much anything (it helps if I know a little about the other fandom though)
ships: Clois is my number one, but I am willing to play around if chemistry is right
please note I am not familiar with season 11 because I haven’t really read any of the comics for that. I might update it if I ever find cheap physical copies of the comics (I don’t like really buying digital with that stuff cuz I hate reading off of screens for long periods of time).

CAPE ! — Ok, so the Kent kids, as told by @exposestruth and @smallvxlle :)
All of the kids were conceived with the aid of scientific intervention, not unlike IFV. One important aspect is that all of the babies were PLANNED, to a T, because Lois and Clark were careful about building their family. Not only were they careful, and getting a lot of help from scientists they trusted implicitly, but Lois’ career and Clark’s responsibilities also came into play. They both wanted a family more than anything, but Sueprman couldn’t take paternity leave, and the world still needed Lois Lane to report the truth. So they planned, carefully, when it would be best to have the kids, and when to try.
Jonathan Samuel Kent, AKA Jon. The oldest of the gaggle, and goes on to be Superboy. He is oldest by three years
The Twins. As with IVF, the scientific intervention they had led to a multiple birth, which is something that runs in the El line. The twins are high-energy and way too smart for their own good.
Ella Lara Kent, AKA El for her initials, was named after Lois and Clark’s biological mothers.
Aurora Martha Kent, AKA Rory, was named after the dawn, and for Clark’s mother, Martha
The baby is David Oliver Kent, AKA Davy He is eighteen months younger than the twins, and his first name comes from the lead singer of Whitesnake, Lois’ favorite band of all time, and his middle name comes from his godfather and the man who made a profound difference in both Clark and Lois’ life, Oliver Queen.
All of the kids have two godfathers, Oliver and Bruce. Clark couldn’t decide when they were having Jon, and he panicked and legit was losing sleep over it, so Lois rolled her eyes and named them both godfather. For godmothers, Chloe is Jon’s, Diana has the twins, and Lucy was asked to be Davy’s godmother after she and Lois reconciled. Kara, of course, is godmother to all of the kids: they have two godmothers and two godfathers.

What other fandoms are you familiar enough with to use as an AU prompt? Pokemon Trainer AU? Homestuck AU (they'd still probably die but at least there are lots of ways to come back to life)?
I’m not that familiar with Homestuck, definitely not enough to do an AU.  I read the novelizations of the Pokemon show as a kid but never saw the show or played any of the video games.  I did play the super-obscure Pokemon board game, but most of my trading cards were printed in Japanese (I had a strange childhood), so my experience there is, uh, probably not quite overlapping with everyone else’s.
Anyway, if you want list of all my fandoms… Boy howdy.  I don’t think I can come up with them all.  However, I can list everything that comes to mind between now and ~20 minutes from now when I have to end my procrastination break and go back to dissertating.  So here it is, below the cut:
Okay, there is no way in hell I’ll be able to make an exhaustive list.  But off the top of my head, the fandoms I’m most familiar/comfortable with are as follows:

Megan Whalen Turner
Michael Crichton

Disclaimer 1: Like a lot of people who went to high school in the American South, my education in literature is pretty shamefully lacking in a lot of areas.  (As in, during our African American History unit in ninth grade we read To Kill a Mockingbird, The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn… and that was it.  As in, our twelfth-grade US History class, I shit you not, covered Gone With the Wind.)  There were a lot of good teachers in with the *ahem* Less Woke ones (how I read Their Eyes Were Watching God and The Bluest Eye) and college definitely set me on the path to trying to find books written/published outside the WASP-ier parts of the U.S., but the overall list is still embarrassingly hegemonic.
Disclaimer 2: There are a crapton of errors — typos, misspelled names, misattributions, questionable genre classifications, etc. — in here.  If you genuinely have no idea what a title is supposed to be, ask me.  Otherwise, please don’t bother letting me know about my mistakes.
Disclaimer 3: I am not looking for recommendations.  My Goodreads “To Read” list is already a good 700 items long, and people telling me “if you like X, then you’ll love Y!” genuinely stresses me the fuck out.
Disclaimer 4: There are no unproblematic faves on this list.  I love Supernatural, and I know that Supernatural is hella misogynistic.  On the flip side: I don’t love The Lord of the Rings at all, partially because LOTR is hella misogynistic, but I also don’t think that should stop anyone else from loving LOTR if they’re willing to love it and also acknowledge its flaws.

let’s go home together - ELLA HENDERSON FT. TOM GRENNAN
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
you could be everything
that i've been missing
i'm coming out of my shell
i never do that
how did you do that?
it's like i've known you my whole life
so what, we're a little drunk
let's go home together
yeah, yeah, yeah
let's go home together
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
she’s so gone - NAOMI SCOTT
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
you won't find her around
you can look but you won't see
the girl i used to be
'cause she's
she's so gone away
like history
she's so gone
baby, this is me, yeah
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
your love’s like - SABRINA CARPENTER
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
your love's like breathing in the salty air
of summer on a private island just for me
your love's like the feeling i get
when my favorite songs spinnin' in my head
keep it play playin' on repeat
it's like flowers in the springtime
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
bitch - MEREDITH BROOKS
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
i'm a bitch, i'm a lover
i'm a child, i'm a mother
i'm a sinner, i'm a saint
i do not feel ashamed
i'm your hell, i'm your dream
i'm nothing in between
you know you wouldn't want it any other way
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
that way - TATE MCRAE
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
we say we're friends but i'm catching you across the room
it makes no sense 'cause we're fighting over what we do
and there's no way that i'll end up being with you
but friends don't look at friends that way
friends don't look at friends that way
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
waving through a window - TORI KELLY
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
we start with stars in our eyes
we start believing that we belong
but every sun doesn't rise
and no one tells you where you went wrong
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
smoke & mirrors - DEMI LOVATO
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
so tell me
did you ever really love me?
did you ever really want me?
now that i see you clearer
i wonder was i ever really happy
didn't get the chance to ask me
now that i see you clearer
was it just smoke and mirrors?
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
witness - ROSIE DARLING
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
i'm glad you learned how to talk
but i don't wanna listen
you can keep all my friends
and i'll keep my distance
take another shot at me, it's obvious it's all for me
but i'm still indifferent
do what you need to get over me
but i won't be your witness
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
skin - SABRINA CARPENTER
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
you're telling it how you see it
like truth is whatever you decide
some people will believe it
and some will read in between the lines
you're putting me in the spotlight
but i've been under it all my life, all my life
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
waiting for superman - DAUGHTRY
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
like lois lane
and she smiles, oh the way she smiles
she’s talking to angels,
counting the stars
making a wish on a passing car
she’s dancing with strangers,
falling apart
waiting for superman to pick her up
in his arms, yeah, in his arms, yeah
waiting for superman
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
million to one - CAMILA CABELLO
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
if it's a million to one
i'm gonna be that one and
if it's a shot in the dark
i'm gonna be the sun
and i just can't afford to be wrong
even when i'm afraid
you're gonna know my name
yeah you're gonna know my name
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
the anonymous ones - AMANDLA STENBERG
✦✦✦✦✦✦✦
spot the girl who stays in motion
she spins so fast so she won't fall
she's built a wall with her achievements
to keep out the question
'without it, is she worth anything at all?'
so nobody can know
just what the cracks might show
how deep and dark they go
