Loki Episode 2 Coherent Thoughts

Spoilers for Loki, plus some bonus spoilers for Thor: Love and Thunder.

"Is your mom coming to pick you up?"

Broke: (but also kind of woke) Sylvie is reciprocating a vague, distant sort of care for this kid, in response to his asking if she's okay.

Woke: Sylvie has driven this boy home before and is asking with the intent of giving him a ride if he needs one.

Bespoke: Sylvie has a thing for his mom, and is asking because she wants to flirt with her later.

Hey remember when Tumblr got all collectively horny for Jotun!Loki during What If? Umm, yeah I get it, I see it, but I'm having repeat symptoms with this episode. I am ACE, and a sexually repulsed one at that, but y'all, I actually had to tone back some of my more obsessive reactions, because I usually insist that while I've imprinted pretty heavily on Loki I'm not romantically or sexually attracted to them, but oh shit, we may have found the exception this week. Just the suit (the ruffles), all the magic, the MULTIPLE times he stalks menacingly toward Wolfe, the big dopey grin he gives Mobius in the automat??? Fuck, guys.

Loki smiling about something Mobius does oh my god: first the little smile at the door when Mo tells that dumb joke. And then that full-face grin he gives when Mobius gives him his blessing to turn on the full god of mischief on that fucker!

Head empty, no thoughts, just "Do you remember that time I was so angry at my father and brother that I went down to Earth and I held the whole of New York City hostage with an alien army?" Because Mobius knows his entire life backwards and forwards, so he just goes "You know" and then casually slips in part of the underlying reason why he did it??? (He conveniently forgets the part where he was TORTURED FOR A YEAR FIRST, but whatever.) And Mobius's little laugh while he speaks like he knows this is ridiculous and not at all the same thing (and I think Loki does, too, and he's doing it on purpose) but he knows what Loki's trying to do so he lets him get away with it.

Was the last time Loki slept when he took that nap back in episode like two (season one) when he and Mobius were researching? Please someone put him in a BED. (For REST first, please!)

Unrelated to the episode, but Mobius has to know about Thor's back tattoo in Love & Thunder, right? I mean, he must. It's Loki's life adjacent, technically. I know the stakes are high right now, but I desperately want him to share this little tidbit of information with Loki because I think the sour-lemon look on his face would be priceless and we all deserve to witness it.

just finished loki season 2 episode 2, spoilers below

im really loving that loki has regained a lot of the confidence he seemed to be lacking at the end of season 1

also the soundtrack goes so hard

also there were so many really hot scenes in this episode

mobius having a little gay panic moment for loki is so real, i need to continue seeing loki in suits, it’s perfection

loki touching mobius’ shoulder at the end of the episode.. they’re husbands your honor
