21: What I love most about myself

I think I can be pretty patient and understanding in most circumstances. Which is a good thing in retail; I can definitely get overwhelmed and frustrated, but I try to put myself in other's shoes and understand that sometimes a customer just needs a little extra help with something or they've made an honest mistake.

The moment they get snippy or demanding though, all that benefit of the doubt goes out the window. The only thing I ask is to be treated with the same understanding and respect I give to others, and if they can't reciprocate I'm not gonna lift a finger to help them out.

33: What words make me feel the best about myself

To be honest... I'm not really sure? It's rare when I find a "meaningful quote" that actually speaks to me, because I feel like most of them are just surface level things that are relatable to everyone.

I guess if you're talking about something like compliments, literally anything lol. A little girl called me pretty at work a couple weeks ago and it made my entire day. Another girl complimented my earrings last year and I still remember it. One of my professors from college who I looked up to left a comment on an essay of mine saying it was "extremely well-written" and I still have a copy of it somewhere lol. So I guess what makes me feel the best are ones that are specific or unexpected.

39: My favorite ice cream flavor

Probably either Chocolate or Cookies 'n Cream. Chocolate fudge brownie is also pretty high up there.

40: Who wish I could be

At the moment, I'd honestly be satisfied with just being a normal person in their 20's. Someone capable of doing adult things and having it be no big deal, maybe with a friend group or a partner. I've considered signing up for something like Bumble or Hinge but I'm so afraid whoever I match with is going to take one look at my life and be like "damn bitch, you live like this?" and nope out

LA MUJER PLANIFICADA

Leo Carson siempre había sido diferente desde niño. De hecho, siempre sus compañeras del colegio y su familia lo asumían como un ser diferente, pero un niño cuya pasión era la ciencia y la tecnología no era raro. Aunque eso lo apartaba de sus compañeros, quienes lo veían como un bicho raro. El bullying era constante, y la soledad, su refugio. En medio de su aislamiento, cuando sus compañeros salían a disertar torpemente, porque claro, no habían estudiado para disertar, Leo ponía toda su atención en su cuaderno de dibujo, donde dibujó a una mujer, su novia ideal. Era perfecta: inteligente, empática y fuerte, todo lo que Leo deseaba en una compañera, lo gráfico de tal manera que asemejaba a la estructura de un mecanismo robótico, llenando ciertos espacios con circuitos que se imaginaba que irían ahí. Cuando terminó la disertación de sus compañeros, con la reprimenda que siempre les daba la maestra al verse enfrentada a este tipo de evaluación, la profesora dio por terminada la clase y se acerca a Leo. Ella observa con atención el dibujo de Leo, y con mucha comprensión le dice: “Estas planificando a tu mujer ideal".

El chico le queda mirando a la maestra de manera extraña, preguntándose a sus adentro: "¿Qué habrá querido decir?”.

Con el tiempo, Leo canalizó su talento en una obsesión: convertir a la mujer en una realidad. Se dedicó durante los próximos treinta años posteriores a su graduación a estudiar cibernética y biotecnología con una intensidad que sorprendió a sus profesores y colegas. A medida que avanzaba en sus estudios, sus habilidades crecían, y la visión de esta mujer se hacía cada vez más tangible, a medida que iba añadiendo conocimientos y avances tecnológicos y biotecnológicos.

Tras años de investigación y desarrollo, Leo finalmente logró dar vida a aquella mujer que había dibujado con detalle toda su planificación, de hecho tenía ese mismo dibujo colgado en un cuadro en su laboratorio. Junto con otros dibujos y planos grandes que incluían las técnicas que iba aprendiendo, tenía un muro lleno de dibujos, planos y artículos de prensa que contaban desde el invento de una memoria positrónica hasta la creación de bacterias hechas para desarrollar sistemas inmunológicos. Hasta el día en que tenía esa mujer ya construida, lista para ser activada, Leo se sentía cargado de emoción. Iba a cumplir el sueño de su juventud, crear a su mujer ideal. Rodeado de pantallas y equipos tecnológicos, Leo insertó un moderno microprocesador mnemotécnico para insertar en el cerebro del biociberandroide, con satisfacción activo el computador para inyectar electricidad al biocibermecanismo y al pulsar el botón final. La biocibermujer, una combinación perfecta de tecnología avanzada y biología humana, abrió los ojos por primera vez.

Los ojos de la ciberbiomujer escanean todo lo que le rodea. Comenzó, reconociendo de a poco cada elemento del laboratorio, como la silla, la mesa y el computador mainframe, con la misma lentitud y rigidez de cuellos, brazos y piernas que nunca se movieron. Se levanta lentamente, y en ese entonces es guiada por la psicóloga, amiga y colaboradora de Leo, Clara Thompson. Comienza a hablar con ella para probar sus circuitos cognitivos, preguntando cosas básicas, como: "hola querida, ¿cómo te llamas?".

“Me llamo… Rebeca", Clara le habla como una niña: “Bien, cariño, dime, ¿sabes dónde estás?"; ella le dice: "Estoy en el laboratorio de mi padre, el Dr. Leo Carson"…

Clara le dice a Leo: “Al parecer todo va bien". Con mucho orgullo, Leo responde: “Desde luego que debe ir bien, me tomo mucho esfuerzo conseguir el chip mnemotécnico". Poco a poco, y en la medida que se iba moviendo Rebeca, moviéndose con más soltura, sus articulaciones dejaban de ser rígidas lentamente, pero aun así, su cerebro empezaba a conocer más elementos en el laboratorio… Después de otra serie de test concluye que el Rebeca funciona según los parámetros normales. Entonces ordenan a la biocibermujer quedar en modo reposo hasta mañana, a la hora cuando regresen al laboratorio, Así, Leo y Clara apagan las luces y salen del abandono del laboratorio. Pero pasados unos minutos, Leo vuelve al laboratorio y se queda un buen tiempo observando con una mirada entre fanatismo y asombro, al ver su creación hecha realidad.

A la mañana siguiente, Clara vuelve al laboratorio para seguir el proceso de adaptación de los mecanismos cognitivos de Rebeca. Empieza con pruebas de psicomotricidad fina que, con la medida que pasan las horas del día, van haciendo que sus movimientos sean tan fluidos como los de un ser humano. En un momento, Clara comienza a sostener una conversación, ya que comienza a decir: "Es interesante el rebote que tiene su cabello, Dra. Thompson… y sus joyas son bonitas, ¿de qué son?”.

La psicóloga responde como si estuviera hablando con una mujer real: "Gracias, Rebeca, mis joyas son perlas que me compré en…". Pero, de golpe, cobra conciencia de que quien le habla es un mecanismo bioandroide, pero recobra la ecuanimidad para anotar las impresiones. En ese momento aparece Leo preguntando: "¿Cómo va todo, Clara?".

Clara y Leo hacen un poco de distancia de Rebeca y hablan sobre lo ocurrido, Leo le explica: “Es el chip positrónico inteligente, desde el momento que fue activada ha estado aprendiendo de los archivos que tiene sobre las dinámicas humanas, entregando respuestas amables al ser humano, y no una serie de datos con respuestas a rajatabla… por esa razón es amable".

Clara, con un asombro fingido, dice: “Es como la mujer perfecta, es bella físicamente y por dentro tiene virtudes como la mejor de las mujeres… Esto y su cerebro, haz dejado la vara larga a las mujeres de carne y hueso”.

Leo suspira y dice: "Bueno, la tenía planificada desde joven para que fuera la mujer perfecta. No ibas a pensar en crear otra muñeca sexual para el mercado". Clara acongojada por esta declaración dice: “Bueno, en un comienzo, sí. Las pruebas que le hice no eran tan extenuantes para un androide, pero las supero como si fueran nada, solo calibro su psicomotricidad".

De repente, se dan cuenta que Rebeca no está en el laboratorio, entonces se ponen nerviosos y la buscan por todas partes. En realidad, la mujer biocibermecánica camina por los pasillos de la instalación observando a los científicos con curiosidad, mientras los jóvenes la miran como si hubieran encontrado a Miss Universo o a la chica de la portada de la revista Playboy. Cada paso que Rebeca da desvía muchas miradas masculinas, e incluso, al sonreírle inocentemente a un joven que estaba con su novia, provoca una discusión de celos. Al salir a la calle sucede lo mismo, hasta incluso un camino choca con el cabus de un automóvil. Había captado la atención del pobre conductor del camión a tal punto que a él le parecía que la chica estaba desnuda, pero claro, el Dr. Carson no la había activado sin tener cuidado con el pudor, y le había hecho un bonito vestido, corto, con sus brazos desnudos y unos zapatos bonitos, sencillos y bien estilizados, eso más sus partes biológicas que emulan a la perfección a la apariencia humana, evitaba hacer sospechar a los transeúntes de que estaban ante una mujer biomecánica…

La graciosa caminata de Rebeca se ve interrumpida cuando, un policía se acerca y le llama la atención: "¡Señorita, deténgase ahí…!". ¡No se ha dado cuenta lo que ha provocado!". Rebeca inocentemente responde: "No, ¿qué paso?".

El oficial enojado dice: "¡Señorita, provoco un accidente, pero digame!, ¿quién le puso esa ropa?". Rebeca responde con su hermosa sonrisa: “Fue el Dr. Carson. Pero oficial, ¿qué tiene mi ropa?”. El oficial sudoroso e irritado dice: "¡Caray, debería ser un crimen como usted viste…¡Debería llamar a ese doctor un pervertido!.

En ese momento, Rebeca le rebate amablemente al oficial: "El Dr. Carson no es un pervertido, es el cibernetista que me creo a mí". El policía con excepción toma la radio de su cinturón y se comunica con la central: “Por favor, averigüen si se escapó alguna paciente del hospital psiquiátrico".

A lo lejos llega el Leo corriendo junto con la Clara; al encontrarlos el oficial lo observa todo furibundo y le dice: "¿Usted es el fetichista que ha vestido así a esta jovencita?". Leo trata de explicarse, pero entre más trata de hablar con el oficial, el policía empieza a sentirse más ofuscado contra Leo. Hasta que en un momento, Leo le logra decir al policía: “Señor policía, esta señorita como usted dice es una bioandroide llamada Rebeca…". Ya esta última declaración hizo que el exepticísimo del oficial fuera todavía más profundo y grita: "¡Ya, está bueno, vendrán conmigo a la comisaria para aclarar todo este asunto!".

Pasados varios días y una serie de dolores de cabeza, aparte del escepticismo de todos los policías de la comisaría, Leo y Clara fueron acusados de corromper a mujer inocente, mientras Rebeca quedó bajo custodia hasta el día del juicio. Llegado ese momento, se reúnen Leo, Clara, Max Bennett, el abogado, la fiscal Sylvia Norton y el juez. Junto con el alguacil estaba Rebeca, que seguía tranquila y serena como el día en que salió a la calle. El juez comienza la audiencia: "Dr. Leo Carson, Dra. Clara Thompson, ustedes acusados de pervertir a esta joven y manipularla mentalmente para que ella se autopersiba como un ser biomecánico, para seguramente algún juego perverso, ¿tienen algo que decir?".

El Sr. Bennett habla: "Sí, su señoría, efectivamente es una biociberandroide según dibujos, planos y mecanismos que el Dr. Carson dibujo y trabajo desde que era joven en la escuela hasta la fecha, El Dr. Carson creó una bioandroide que reproduce al detalle la apariencia humana y trabajo una serie de circuitos que le permiten aprender y adaptar la información suministrada, de hecho, en estos momentos, Rebeca aprende sobre el juicio que estamos llevando".

Luego siguen los argumentos de la fiscal: "Señoría, puedo demostrar que esta señorita no es un robot…". El abogado interrumpe a la fiscal: "Por favor, es una bioandroide, servomecanismos integrados a elementos biológicos según su creador".

La fiscal expresa con poco respeto: "Como sea…". El abogado le responde: "¡Señorita Norton, usted tiene un serio problema de…!". El juez pega un martillazo fuerte y dice: "¡Basta, esto no es un gallinero, es un juzgado, letrados!". Ambos se quedan en silencio. Luego el juez interroga a Rebeca: "¿Señorita, cómo se encuentra usted?".

Rebeca responde con una amable sonrisa: "Yo estoy bien, Sr. Juez, ¿y usted cómo se encuentra?". El juez responde: "Yo más o menos, con algunos achaques, soy un hombre viejo".

Rebeca le dice al juez: "¿Puedo hacer algo por usted?". El juez le responde: "Si, mi niña, me tiene que decir usted la verdad, sino se mete en serios problemas, ¿es una bioandroide?". Rebeca le dice con mucha candidez: "Sí, señor juez, soy una bioandroide creada por el Dr. Leo Carson para simular la virtud de la mujer perfecta por dentro y por fuera, según los parámetros que me programaron".

El juez asombrado por la sincera respuesta dirige su mirada al abogado, este no espera y le presenta pruebas de la ausencia de registros como certificado de nacimiento, escolaridad, títulos universitarios, registros criminales, comprobando que el único lugar donde pudo venir Rebeca era del laboratorio del Dr. Leo Carson.

La fiscal argumenta apresuradamente: "Sr. Juez, esa falta de antecedentes puede ser hecha por un hacker que haya borrado rastros de existencia de esta joven, la chica…".

Sr. Juez martillea de nuevo: “y dice, señorita Norton, si no tiene un buen argumento, mejor no siga…". En ese momento el juez decide: “En vista que tengo argumentos de peso y que la señorita Rebeca parece demostrar una personalidad equilibrada, decido entregarla a la custodia del Dr. Leo Carson, se levanta la sesión", el martilleo da final a la audiencia. La fiscal toda enojada da espalda al abogado, mientras este le dice: "Por favor, Señorita Norton, tenga más profesionalismo…".

Luego el abogado se acerca a Leo, Clara y Rebeca. Contento de haber ganado el caso, Leo le dice: “Max, te debo una grande". El abogado le dice: "No te preocupes por pagarme, desde que estábamos en el colegio me hablaste sobre la androide que ibas a crear, ya con estar cerca de ella y más aún defender tu proyecto, es suficiente pago para mí".

Tres semanas después, el laboratorio donde vio a nacer Rebeca parece estar abandonado, en ello entra Clara, quien ve una nota encima del computador de Leo, la levanta y la lee. Esta dice:

"Estimada Clara. Agradezco mucho su ayuda en este proyecto, pero después de cinco audiencias al juzgado por situaciones donde la gente ha mal entendido la naturaleza biomecánica, confundiéndola con una mujer real por su apariencia física y su personalidad, he decidido llevármela un fin de semana a mi casa. De ahí, medité a profundidad y concluí que estaba tratando a Rebeca como un proyecto más y no como lo que he anhelado toda mi vida. Aunque pasaba mucho tiempo en los tribunales protegiéndola, finalmente tomé la decisión de llevarme a Rebeca conmigo, lejos de todo este mal entendido. Para evitar que Rebeca y yo tuviéramos estos problemas, Max me ayudó a crearle una identidad y un pasado para evitar problemas, y así pudiera pasar como mi esposa. Por favor, te pido que mantengas el secreto. Ella te agradece mucho lo buena amiga que fuiste.

En sus adentros, Clara entendió todo. Toma la noche, la arruga y la arroja al tacho de la basura y se retira tranquilamente, esperando que en alguna parte del mundo, Leo y su creación estén a salvo de una sociedad que no acepta a una mujer planificada.

Okay, so pretty much all of my attention for the past year has been going to my main project, Sins Of My Youth. I make a separate doc for each chapter so if I named every single one in my WIP folder it would be 1) very long, and 2) very boring, because I basically just name them all "Gangreen Gang fic Chapter [number]."

(I didn't actually think of a name until right before I posted it and just kept up with the "Gangreen Gang fic" naming theme even after I picked something)

But I have like 6 different versions of my outline, so I can share those:

Gangreen Scene (A currently unpublished scene detailing how the Gangreen Gang met Sedusa that I would really like to fit into Sins Of My Youth somewhere if I can find a good place for it)

But yeah, I wish I had better/funnier names to share, but I usually just go with whatever is the easiest to keep track of and don't officially name anything until it's complete so I can have the clearest picture of what I want to emphasize

2. What fanfic do you wish you got more response on?

Hmm, is it bad if I say the one I'm working on right now?

I can't be too upset. I have received some lovely comments already (including a couple over on FFN today!) and I know the Powerpuff Girls fandom doesn't have a lot of traffic these days, but I guess since the story has been in my head for so long and it's the thing I feel the most passionate about at the moment, I really want someone to share that excitement with.

With most of my Transformers fics specifically though, the response has been above and beyond my wildest dreams. I still can't believe so many people liked "Cut My Noose, and I'll Cut Yours" (and I do hope to go back to it someday!) or that the lovely @gilraina did a podfic for the SkyStar oneshot I posted on Valentine's Day. I never thought anything I wrote would inspire someone else like that.

3. What’s a fic idea that you have but haven’t written yet?

Okay, so I actually do have one in my head that I haven't gotten to yet bc I'm in the middle of writing two others. I can't go into much detail because when I get to it I might publish it anonymously. But basically, it's a Breaking Bad "fix it fic" where no one dies, done in the worst, most chaotic way possible.

14. Have you ever co-written a fic?

No, but I'd love to! It's something I've been wanting to do for a while. Writing can be a pretty lonely hobby sometimes, and it would be great to have someone to share a project with.

15. Are there words, phrases, mannerisms or scenes you tend to use a lot?

I have a bad habit of using filler words and overusing dialogue tags. Also, I'm a very uncertain person in general so there's a good chance you'll see a lot of "probably's" "a bit's" and "slightly's" in my stories no matter how much I try to edit them out.

tuafw as a child I didn't get a diagnosis because I was terrified with internalized ableism and lied to my therapist, saying that I didn't have sensory issues when I did/do. And when I was sent for psychiatric testing, all they did was literally write a report saying I was "weird."

Crowley and Aziraphale each sit by themselves and stew in what they wish they could say to each other. That's probably why no one's interrupting their ranting.If only the two would communicate with each other more clearly about these things. Post Season 2 Finale (so, obviously, spoilers for that). Had to get some thoughts and feels out after the finale.
