(I wanted to compile these since I’m interested in name meanings and how they apply to the characters, and I thought others might find it useful as well. I’m no expert on names or languages myself; these are all found through research.)

Is it just me or is Sally kinda mean, where's our mom figure? Im crying over Luke's acting it was so good but also why are you dropping bombshells on us the second episode??

No offense to the actors but some of the lines felt like they were from Disney channel in the 2000s. It feels almost like a completely different story I understand why but I thought it was going to be more accurate

Love Annabeth’s "you drool when you sleep" but why was the scene setting so weird??

1 I drastically miss the Hellhound scene. It was one of my favorite scenes. They should have made the first two episodes *| accidentally vaporized my math teacher" and "My mom teaches me bullfighting" then they wouldn't have had to rush it so much. So much information was thrown at us in the first episode I couldn't process it. Also the convo between Percy and Sally in the Cabin was really unrealistic... Why did she have to drop that on Percy so fast I thought Mr. D and Chiron were supposed to have that conversation with Percy.

The bathroom scene was fine but I really wish Annabeth could have been there, instead of making her look like a huge stalker. We could have had her show him around camp like I get we want to build that relationship with Luke so it hits harder but Idk I personally wouldn't want her on my team if all she did was go "Im stalking you to see if your worthy" ditch me and watch me fight 3 v1 and then push me in the ocean. The Ares kids bashing... but Clarisse's acting was great. That scream of anger was amazing.

I feel like they took the first book and went

"eh don't need this, or this hmmm nah that doesn't seem important" and then shook it all about. They changed so much to save time but they didn't even make it a movie so there wasn't much point??

The intro was fine. I didn't really like the dialogue between Percy and Sally at the beginning. The museum was okay but we didn't get a lesson about Kronos so no foreshadowing for that at all. No one really seems to remember this but Percy didn't keep the pen and it doesn't make sense for him to as-well with getting kicked out of school. In the Book Percy was given the pen while fighting Miss Dodds. Afterwards he was still unknowingly clutching the pen when he went to talk to Mr.Brunner who took his pen back saying he should bring his own pen next time, making Percy more confused because Mr.Brunner had given him the pen.

Later when he's leaving for the quest Chiron gives him the pen saying it was from his dad. That means Percy wouldn't have had the pen during his time at camp and his fight with the minotaur. So it wouldn't make sense for him to defeat the minotaur with its horn rather than his pen if he had the pen. In the book he HAD to defeat the minotaur with his own horn because he had no other weapon.

He had a hard time on the beach and during sword training because no other sword felt right. I could rant forever on everything they overlooked.

Sorry no one asked for this rant i'm just so upset because Rick said it was going to be accurate and he chose these Actors because they would be able to play the parts more accurately but the script doesn't work so I there's no point in having actors who would do a good job if the script doesn't do a good job

And his like father-y relationship with Luke?? If they were both less emotionally constipated, that is. I translated it, was wondering what you thought <3

And i dont know how accurate of an English sentence 'could i come to you' is, but its basically the same thing as 'could i come over [to Your house]'

Reading this actually made me tear up. it fits them so well. I've been reading and re-reading the lyrics for the past 5 minutes and every time I get tears in my eyes.

Jess and Luke's relationship is very dear to me. it's one of the primary reasons why s3 is my favorite season. even at his most destructive, luke loved jess so much and jess did too, even if he didn't realize it until he grew up. like that scene when jess wouldn't comes back to stars hollow for liz's wedding but only agrees later because luke asks him to? and when jess almost freezes in his car because he's a stubborn idiot? and luke waits in his truck until he made sure jess got into the dinner safely? it makes me tear up every time. they're both too emotionally stunted but they care so much about each other.

Ack, pleeeeez, I'm so happy you enjoyed the latest chapter! It was a fecking titan to write, and it stressed me out something fierce. The birth was going to be as detailed as I could get it, I knew that going into the instalment before this one - that way, I can ease up on the detail in subsequent pregnancies (I hope lol). So there was a BUNCH of research I had to do to make sure it was right. It always grinds my gears just a little when I see something I know is medically/ physically/ generally inaccurate as a reader, notwithstanding fantasy embellishments of course. I'm glad it seems to have been pulled off well enough!

I also do try my best to write old-fashioned, haha. I was that dork in high school who thought she was better than everyone else because I carried around 'classics' and read them in my spare time. God, I was an uppity bitch. Wanna suckerpunch that ho when I think about her, lol. As a fun result, I picked up that rambling hoity-toity prose they use in older novels, so I do my best to emulate that within the bounds of reason. I try to maintain very deliberate stylistic differences between characters, too - for example, Babey rarely ever uses contractions (i.e. 'I won't' or 'please don't' etc.) to reinforce her prim-and-proper nature, and when she does it is a moment of tension (i.e. sex lol or the birth scenes). Daemon is somewhere in the middle as a noble but free-spirited dude (he'll use contractions, but he's still a bit of a fancyword guy). Kid characters like Luke will use words such as 'wanna' to highlight their youth, and so on. This adds nothing to the story, but it satisfies a little itch in my brain!

I TRIED TO ADD AS MANY NAWWWW TEAR-JERKY BITS AS I COULD HAHAHA, because I wanted this to be a real 'epiphany/ spiritual awakening' experience for Daemon. Like, "holy shit, I'm a daddy now". So this birth was big drama to unpack all that trauma that's been built up over the past 200,000-odd words and get them set on the road to healing. Babey made it through the birth just fine; she survived something she feared above all else, and Daemon was right by her side for it. (On a side note, this is actually a canon book thing - Daemon was present for all the births of his kids with Rhaenyra, INCLUDING Visenya, which makes me think he'd also have been present for Baela and Rhaena's births and his little stillborn boy.)

I have one of those history book snippets coming for the end of the next chapter, kinda like a book-end! Because I consider gevivys, donus rinus and nuhus prumys as plot-centric fics, I bookend them with the quotes; and because ilibitsos was a smut-centric one-shot fic, I began each 'part' with a quote. There is a weird method to that madness, I promise, haha! I really enjoy writing the history snippets - and this upcoming one has been written and waiting since Chapter 5 of donus rinus! Very excited to end the instalment with it.

H: How would you describe your style? One word I always keep in mind while writing is: Heartwarming. I suppose that translates to my style in the end. No matter the genre, I always aim to connect with the protagonist in an intimate level and worship them on the page--their thoughts, their ideas, their desires. I’m unable to write Hurt without the Comfort or Angst with no Happy Ending. I write to make myself and others happy, and that warmth seeps into my characters and narration too.

S: Any fandom tropes you can't resist? A lot. I’m weak for slow burn romances with lots of pining, Character A getting injured in battle and Character B protecting them and later on tending to their wounds, Royalty AUs, time loops or time travel fics, fics that explore a character’s disability, and fics that are insanely accurate with their canon facts and timelines, to name a few.

Y: A character you want to protect. Only one of them!? Nah, love, you’re getting all of them (well, most of them). William Schofield, Tom Blake, and Joseph Blake, all from 1917. Tony Stark from the MCU. Sherlock Holmes from BBC Sherlock. Steve Harrington from Stranger Things. Luke Skywalker from Star Wars. And I’ll cut the list short with Luca, Alberto and Giulia from Pixar’s Luca.

2. go to your ao3 “works” page, to the sidebar with all the filters, and click the drop-down arrow for “additional tags.” what are your top 3-5 most used tags? do you think they accurately represent your writing habits? so looking at all my fics, they're "swearing", "established relationship", "fluff", "angst", & "canon compliant"! gotta say i'm a little surprised how high established relationship is! everything else makes sense, my characters tend to swear and i try to balance my fluff & angst (altho i've always favored angst lol). and in fics that aren't rpf it can be more fun for me to write in the established world so canon compliant also checks out

6. what’s one fact about the universe of [space may be the final frontier but it's made in a hollywood basement] that you didn’t get a chance to mention in the fic itself? ooo good question! i think that once people actually start going to the moon, luke and ashton are very put out bc they don't get to go (after all, they couldn't seem like they were hogging the moon) and it's something they complain about to michael and calum on the regular. also i've just decided that in their universe, the four of them low-key blackmailed the us government into legalizing gay marriage several decades earlier than it was in our world bc why the fuck not revisionist history bby

35. what aspects of your writing are completely unlike your real life? uhhh all the romantic relationship stuff? i live in fear that someday i'll write a kiss or something that everyone will read and be like "oh. this chick *really* doesn't know what she's talking about" lol. also a lot of my characters are much more communicative about their feelings than i ever would be like i would never tell a friend i was in love with them i'd take that shit to my grave 👻also also i have never been covered in blood (thank goodness) like so many of my characters end up being lol

3. How would you describe your writing style?

I've always said it's stream of consciousness. That's always how I've HAD my writing described to me, anyway. And I think that's characterized by pretty blatant internal monologue (so, for instance, every story of mine, I think, sounds a little different because every person I'm writing thinks in a different way. Like, think about the Luke in Bittersweet versus the Luke in Fine Print. They’re both pretty angsty and on the “poetic” style but their,, forms of poetry are a little different if that makes sense, even if they’re both inherently mine). My writing is usually characterized by some truly abhorrent run-on sentences and fragments as well so it's just, like, how a character Thinks rather than what would be grammatically correct. ~Literary license~

10. Top three favourite fic tropes.

OH!! EASY. Hurt/comfort. Protective ______ (if I see a fic with the word protective in the tags I'm scrambling to read it. You have no idea how much loyalty means to me and I just LOVE characters who want to make their loved ones feel safe). And,,, I don't know if this is a trope per-say but,, Showers. If I see the tag "shower" i am SPRINTING into that fic. Rebirth symbolism makes me cRAzY.

14. Write and share the first sentence of a new fic. Just that.

Ashton isn’t usually into blondes but this guy’s eyes are a real heartbreaker shade of baby blue and his nails are painted silver.

21. Can you accurately predict how long your fics are going to be? If you can, what’s your secret?

lmfao not even a little bit. like literally not at all. I’m always under. Without fail, if I say a fic will be 10k, it’ll be about 5-10k over that. I don’t think there’s a single fic ever that I’ve estimated correctly. I thought my 127k fic Scene 14 was gonna be 20k. I’m just an idiot.

30. Describe a fic that almost happened, but then it didn’t.

Back in ye olden day (2020) I was originally going to do a type of,, fic exchange with someone where they wrote a lashton fic for me and I was going to write a malum fic for them. And it was just a stupid little teen rated one-shot where Michael kept pretending to drown in the swimming pool so lifeguard Calum would come save him. And I wrote about 1k in it but then me and this person stopped talking so it just never came to fruition. I always thought it was a cute idea though!!

36. How do you come up with fic titles? What’s the one you’re most proud of?

I have a very strict rule when it comes to titling that I am very anal about. A fic title has to be one or two words. Preferably two. One is sometimes acceptable though. A series title has to be three words. Preferably three word lyrics from a 5sos song (ie. “Ask For More” from Midnight and “Fade Into Dark” from Airplanes, both of which I think Molly helped me pick actually so shoutout to her). If I can squeeze some type of double meaning into a fic title then wooo !! Points for me!! But I really just try to use the,, word or words that are most used in the fic. I think my favorite title I have is... I don’t know, I really like a couple actually!! I like my titles because they’re pretty easy to remember! Quick and snappy, y’know?? I really like “Over Break” and “Fine Print.” And I think “Coy Fish” is fun bc koi fish are a reoccurring theme in the fic and I switched the spelling around to “coy” bc Cal is a notorious flirt in the fic and is trying to be,, y’know coy about asking Ash out. I thought it was cute.
