Mi fa piacere per il Neanderthal, che i suoi geni siano arrivati fino a noi attraverso le fuitine "interraziali" con i Sapiens, la rivincita dei brutti, se tanto mi dà tanto dovevano avere un enorme Schwanzstuck (ref.). Inutile girarci intorno: le misure contano. La natura, lo diceva anche Schopenhauer, parla attraverso esempi concreti e usa tutte le sue astuzie per perpetuare la vita, qualsiasi vita, sia quel che sia. I greci dicevano katà métron, secondo misura, ma visto che erano socratici interpretavano tutto nel senso etico-morale della giusta misura, meglio allora le reminiscenze pagane dei dionisiaci, sopravvissute nel mito romano di Mutunus Tutunus, il dio fallico portafortuna. I padri della Chiesa, attenti moralisti, sostenevano che le spose romane erano obbligate a salire in groppa (inequitare) il "terribile fallo" di Mutuno durante i riti matrimoniali per prepararsi alla copula e vincere l'imbarazzo del sesso. Come se tutte le feminae, per il solo fatto di essere feminae, dovessero essere spaventate dalla visione del sesso, che visione retrograda e patriarcale. Ma stiamo divagando. Torniamo al Neanderthal: trovo un po' razzista che si dia dei neandertaliani ai bergamaschi, anche se si esprimono per mezzo di suoni gutturali.

冥丁 / MEITEI

日本の文化から徐々に失われつつある、過去の時代の雰囲気を「失日本」と呼び、現代的なサウンドテクニックで日本古来の印象を融合させた私的でコンセプチャルな音楽を生み出す広島在住のアーティスト。エレクトロニック、アンビエント、ヒップホップ、エクスペリメンタルを融合させた音楽で、過去と現在の狭間にある音楽芸術を創作している。

これまでに「怪談」（Evening Chants）、「小町」（Métron Records）、「古風」（Part I & II）（KITCHEN.LABEL） などによる、独自の音楽テーマとエネルギーを持った画期的な三部作シリーズを海外の様々なレーベルから発表し、冥丁は世界的にも急速に近年のアンビエント・ミュージックの特異点となった。

日本の文化と豊かな歴史の持つ多様性を音楽表現とした発信により、The Wire、Pitchforkから高い評価を受け、MUTEK Barcelona 2020、コロナ禍を経てSWEET LOVE SHOWER SPRING 2022などの音楽フェスティバルに出演し、初の日本国内のリリースツアーに加え、ヨーロッパ、シンガポールなどを含む海外ツアーも成功させる。

“I want to revive the soul of Japan that still sleeps in the darkness” - Meitei / 冥丁

On Maboroshi, the second track release from Komachi, the forthcoming album from Meitei, we're taken on a mysterious journey into the rural darkness of Japanese forests. Inspired by the spooky Japanese manga series from author Shigeru Mizuki, Maboroshi also draws from lo-fi hip hop, sounding like Dilla reimagined through the wet sounds of the Hiroshima countryside.

We're happy to announce that due to the amazing response to this record we have upped the initial pressing numbers from 300 to 500, that includes a small number of additional copies of the Special Edition with printed booklet. You can still cop the pre-order from Séance Centre here:
