Yes! Right here: Benny Weir Headcanons But just for you, I'll do a one-shot! [Hate to be controversial, but I'm more of an Ethan girlie :( ]

Summary: Benny accidentally casts a spell on you and he has to figure out how to undo it Pairings: Benny Weir x Fem! Reader Tw/Cw: Magic

Benny's mouth nearly dropped when seeing a bunny in the place of where you had once been. Not only had he casted a spell on you, but it hadn't even been the right spell. He heard footsteps behind the door and he quickly picks you -bunny you- up and quickly hides you in his jacket.

Ethan opens the door, before looking at a very suspicious Benny. "What did you do, Benny?"

Benny makes a face of offence, "Uh! What do you mean? Why do you automatically think I did something wrong?"

Ethan gives Benny a knowing look and Benny sighs. He then pulls you out of his jack and Ethan gasps.

"What do you have a bunny!?"

"It's a funny story- Ow!"

You hit him with your little foot, angered by the face he wasn't hurrying up to try and get you back to normal.

"Here," He hands you to Ethan as he grabs his magic book.

Ethan struggles with you, not realizing it's well- You! "Are you going to answer my question... or?"

Benny whips around, an awkward smile on his face, "Well- there might have been.... well, a mishap."

"What do you mean?"

Benny doesn't answer and Ethan squeezes you tighter, causing you to hit him with your foot repeatedly, accidentally causing him to drop you. Benny screams, quick to pick you up and cuddle you close.

"Oh my baby- Are you okay?" He pets your back and you glare up at him- or at least you try to.

"Why are you freaking out? It's just a bunny."

"It's not just a bunny; It's Y/n."

"Y/n! What did you do to her?" Ethan swaps you back, holding you close and away from Benny.

"It was an accident. It wasn't supposed to hit her. PLUS," Benny turns back to Ethan, holding his book in one hand, "It wasn't even an animal spell."

"You have to fix her!"

"I know, I know!" He puts the book down and quickly scans through the book, "Ha! Here!" He points to some words in the book, before taking a step back and chanting the spell.

There's a heavy smoke and Benny lights up, but it quickly drops when seeing you were indeed no longer a bunny, but now a cat.

"You've got to be kidding me."

There's a knock at the door, causing them both to freeze and look towards the door.

"Y/n, dear? Are you okay in there?"

It was your mother. They both looked at each other, before looking at the door again. They had to figure out an excuse and they had to figure it out now.

"Um, yes, Mrs. L/n. We accidentally knocked over some textbooks," Benny lets out an awkward laugh, hoping she'd take the bait. Thankfully she did.

"Okay, well, be more careful."

"We will!"

They both listen as her footsteps echo away from the door, before they both grab the book and flip through it.

"You have to change her to normal!"

"I'm trying! I'm trying! It's not that easy!"

You watch as they fight with each other, the book swishing as they blow through it.

"Here!" Ethan points to another spell, "A human spell! A spell to turn an animal into a human."

Benny clicks, before shrugging and deciding to just go for it.

"If you mess this up, we go to your grandma."

"Yeah, probably a good idea." Just like before, Benny chants out the spell, before pointing at you and a bright light hits you and a heavy smoke covers your body.

You shake your head and look down at your hands and you hear them cheer. Though they quickly stop when seeing your face.

"Babe, you know I love you-"

"Don't you 'I love you babe' me!"

"Forgive and forget?" Benny laughs, as you corner him. "I love you?"

You can hear Ethan walking towards the door and whipping around to him, "Don't think you're getting away! When I'm done with him, you're getting it too."

-he brought you a lego set millennium falcon for may 4th.

-he tells you your the leia organa to his han solo. (hold on im tearing up)

RORY:

-remember that scene where he like descends into the air in "Three Cheers for Evil"? yeah thats him

-i lwk hc him as somewhat autistic and star wars/trek is one of his main hyperfixations so i think he like rants to you about it.

-like he can go hours talking about it if you let him.

-couples costumes, he wants to be luke and yoda.

-he will buy you both the plastic lightsabers os you can have lightsaber fights

-will cause a fight if you say "dark vader" or "lightsaver" or just pronounce anything wrong

-he will get a matching star wars shirt with you, will also buy you matching socks... and jacket/hoodie/sweatshirt/etc.

a/n: this was requested by the same irl friend as my other benny hcs! this blog is going to turn into just a benny fan club soon enough lol. but anyways, i would like to say that in the middle of typing this a roach decided to appear out of nowhere in my room 🙃 that was interesting. also not me writing yet more benny headcanons at 1am. like dude it's bad enough you started appearing in random dreams of mine for a few months (like he’d show up for like to seconds and then dip, or he’d just be in the background and not even say a word) but now you won’t even let me sleep?? 

you and benny had been friends since middle school

which means you guys have been friends forever in your minds

this also means that the idea of benny liking you or you liking him in more than a friend way, and vice versa, was never a thought that crossed either of y’alls minds

for a while at least

since you were friends with benny that also means by default you’re also friends with ethan

and you three, with the occasional rory appearance, most likely spend an insane amount of time together

i’m talking spending full days playing video games or watching movies, grandma weir loving you, having a love-hate relationship with jane, etc.

this leads me to say that there has to been at least one instance where someone though you were dating one of them

or both

which can go one of two ways

either you’re all stuttering, awkwardly trying to explain you’re just friends

or you all laugh it off because that would be ridiculous right?

right?

i feel like if someone was thought you and benny were together he’d be the type to laugh it off

which would lead to you laughing it off as well because once again that scenario never even crossed either of y’alls minds

benny normally flirts with everyone one he sees, especially if they’re the nerd type

it’s like a second nature at this point

so obviously if he never even attempted to flirt with you that means you two are in fact friends, best friends, bros even, and whatever other words that mean friends

until one day benny’s whole universe flips upside down

the gang was fighting yet another monster of the week as per usual

except this entity was particularly nasty and you ended up getting hurt

like i’m talking needing a quick trip to the er kinda hurt

i can imagine trying to explain what had happened was interesting

turns out you sprained your wrist and had a mild concussion

you were going to be fine but the doctors wanted you to stay over night just incase

but no matter how many times you or anyone else said it benny was not listening

you were literally in the hospital, why was no one else panicking??

you are sitting in a hospital bed!!! with a sprained wrist!! and a concussion!!!!

you’d swear you were dying by his shear panic

he’d feel like shit for not being able to protect you

he literally had magic powers so why was this even happening??

you’ve lost count how many times you had reassured him that it's okay, you can take after yourself

i can see him being like stiles in that one episode of teen wolf where stiles fell asleep in the waiting room for lydia until they kicked him out

grandma weir would have to come pick him up and the entire way home she’s all like 👀 because like yes a best friend will get worried about their friend but this seemed like it could be something more

but knowing grandma i think she’d keep her mouth shut and let him figure it out

and sure enough in the middle of the night benny wakes up in a cold sweat and is like

he decides to ignore that for the time being

but the next day when you’re released from the hospital ethan suggests that they go see you and benny says no

and ethan’s like?? what happened to him thinking you were dying??

eventually benny confesses to which ethan is now even more ????

after some convincing ethan gets benny to go see you

“dude you guys have been friends forever, nothing’s changed”

“‘nothing’s changed’!?!? what do you mean ‘nothing’s changed’?? everything has changed!!”

cue benny being acting so odd once he gets to your place

which confuses and concerns you since less than 24hrs ago he was acting like you were dying

you questioned ethan about it but he quickly and awkwardly said he had no idea

but the fact that he said it in a higher pitch, stuttering, and way over the top about it, made it clear that he did know something

but you dropped because you knew ethan wasn’t going to snitch on his friend

yet, you thought

new mission unlocked for you: figure out what the hell happened to your best friend over night

benny’s new mission was to make sure by all means that you did not find the answer to that

sarah tries using duolingo to learn french with erica but the weird reminders make her feel too guilty so she deletes it after two weeks

benny is the only freshman taking calculus, so the nerdier juniors and seniors try to take care of him. he assures them that he’s a boy witch and can take care of himself, which they all find kind of adorable.

erica has a necklace full of someone else’s blood BUT it’s just for the vampire aesthetic, not for drinking

sarah has a matching necklace full of erica’s blood… because they’re gal pals..? ❤️

rory learns the word camp and starts calling himself a CAMPire. this pisses erica off.

rory loves the interview with a vampire show. sarah loves the interview with a vampire movie. erica loves all the anne rice books (and spitefully writes novel-length fanfiction of them 😶). benny and ethan make fun of the vamps but they secretly watched the whole show and drooled over lestat in the movie.

sarah tries painting and erica hangs the “abstract masterpieces” all over her room she genuinely loves every single one sarah gifts to her.

Although it's never explained in the show I want to make a headcanon possibly on the lineage of the Morgan family cause like

Jane can use magic and Ethan is a seer, obviously the parents themselves don't seem to have an ounce of awareness to the weirdness in their world so maybe distant relations played a factor.

Like maybe traits, chance of being born normal or a small percentage of becoming a spellcaster or seer

Maybe I could write about this in the fic 🤔

Benny's magic is more like Charmed thing, bcs I like that show so much and how they portrait the magical world is really good.

Ethan being a vampire-seer bcs why not?

Speaking of Ethan, this boy got a huge evolution on his own powers, developing some telepathy, telekinesis, psychometry and some other stuff, this tired him a lot but since he's a vampy now, he got more stronger

Benny is a good witch/spellmaster, he just needs to mature and study more.

They like to cook together, 'cause I refuse to think that two teenage boys can't cook, like, when I was 16 i already know how to cook a lot of meals.

Idk what they do for college, tbh, give me some ideas pls

But the domestic life as Mr. and Mr. Weir is so sappy and cozy.

can guarantee at least once he’d say “watch this babe” or “this ones for you” and immediately fail/die

this is also something that definitely happens in the outside world with him trying to throw something away or something

also i don’t know shit about video games so i cannot go into anymore detail then this lol

is 100% down with spontaneous movie nights whether that be binge watching movies at home or going to the theater

if it’s a movie he’s obsessed with but you’ve never seen he will be trying his hardest not to info dump and potentially spoil the whole thing

but if it’s a movie he knows you have seen he is more than willing to explain every single fact about it he knows

speaking of movies if it’s a horror/scary movie you can bet he will try to act all tough and not scared before it starts

even if you already know how much of a scaredy cat he is he will try to play it off

but the second the first jumpscare happens there will be popcorn flying everywhere

you’re still finding popcorn in the couch

he will still continue to pretend that he’s not scared despite shaking like a scared chihuahua

which then leads to him hiding his face into your neck or behind you

he still refuses to let you turn it off even if you insist it’s okay

there is a part of you that feels bad but also a part that thinks it’s so funny

the only suggestions i will take on this is that yours is han and his is leia

will take you to every convention within driving distance

if the convention if for some game/show/movie you don’t know be prepared for a whole powerpoint presentation or a weekend of binge watching whatever media it is

HEADCANONS:

erica is immediately like oh ok so i can date girls now! yay!

sarah spends the whole episode SUPER uncomfortable with the involuntary changes to her body, which echoes her vampirism plotline.

jane doesn't recognize them at first and gets one of those little kid crushes on sarah. everyone makes fun of her for the whole episode. it's implied that the crush doesn't go away when sarah gets turned back. bisexual jane sweep!

erica insists upon going by "eric"

sarah flashes her fangs when benny jokingly calls her by a boy name so they stick to calling her sarah

sarah hides away in a dysphoria hoodie while erica is still out there wearing miniskirts and tank tops and knee high boots. fashion doesn't have a gender, and erica can just eat anyone who says anything to her. this inspires rory to wear a skirt for the first time because he ALSO can eat anyone who says anything to him

sarah and erica do kiss. it's not gay because they're not really both boys :) they're both girls who are attracted to boys see? because they're kissing each other while they look like boys? (it's pretty gay)

when they turn back, erica keeps some of the potion that got them turned into boys in the first place. being bi-gender is kind of a slay 👀

You had recently been turned into a vampire. While it had its perks it did mean that you were now immortal and it all felt a little daunting, especially when you had to keep everything a secret.

Everything had been going fine, you had been managing to hunt at night so no one saw you and it had been working. Key word being had. This was because tonight while you were hunting small animals you were found by the one and only Rory. You wouldn’t say you were friends, you had only spoken a few times in class to swap answers but now he had seen you sucking the blood from the neck of a squirrel. That was irreparable damage to any future friendship aspects. Or so you thought. You had thought many things, your thoughts racing as he might tell the whole town and you would have to flee but all he did was grin. He got super excited and started rambling about how cool this was. You missed the majority of what he was saying from the shock of his reaction and when you finally tuned back into what he was saying you heard “you’re a vampire too!”. You finally dropped the squirrel and stood up, slowly walking towards him. “You mean you’re a vampire aswell?” You asked Rory with a very confused look. “Of course, Erica and Sarah are too”. You couldn’t believe there were more, you had been suffering this whole time with so many people like you close by.

After your encounter Rory introduced you to the rest of the friend group and they immediately accepted you. Benny and Ethan being the only non vampires of the group were slightly cautious as they didn’t know your tolerance for the smell of blood yet. They quickly warmed up to you though when they saw you could handle yourself better than Rory and Erica.

You took a special liking to Ethan, you found it cute how he got slightly nervous around you. Stumbling over his words slightly. You loved to tease him to make it worse. You did however also befriend him and become close to him. He understood some of your worries about being a vampire (hearing the same worries from Sarah and the others) and he listened to al your other concerns. You were each others confidants. You grew closer until the point where your feelings for each other were undeniable to even yourselves. Ethan would take a while to admit his feelings so you probably ended up beating him to confessing them. Ethan doesn’t mind you being a vampire but he does worry for your safety even if you could handle yourself. He would hate to think of a future where you were still young and he was getting older, would probably consider turning into a vampire for you. Whether he went through with it though is another thing.

Headcanons:

-He completely trusts you around him and doesn’t feel threatened even if you have your teeth out around him. He also feels bad that you’re stuck with someone with such irresistible blood to a vampire.

-he only gets nervous around your teeth if you bring them out while play fighting or cuddling. He doesn’t feel threatened he’s just scared of the power they hold.

-would try his best to help you with any of your cravings, may even offer some of his blood but you would always refuse.

-would be so caring towards you and would always stick up for you in any situation. Especially if you were fighting the weekly problem and they went after you.

-would try and find a spell in bennys book or some cure for you as he knew it troubled you at times. Would never pressure you into anything like that though

-he always felt protected when you were by his side and he hoped you could feel the same when he was close by even if he didn’t hold half the power you did

-would ask advice about vampire stuff from Sarah and would listen to everything she said

-would be in complete awe of you at all times.

-he found you so hot when you used your powers against any supernatural being

-would research and look through ALL the pages of google on vampires to just find everything out about you

-he would trace his fingers gently over the teeth marks on your neck. Occasionally softly kissing them.

-would never judge you in any shape or form

-would just genuinely love you and wouldn’t care that your slightly different from the average person. Would face any challenges along the way with you and stay by your side.

The geek squad, and why MBAV had so much potential

For most of you this show hasn't been in your mind since you were 10-12. But for the ones who have rewatched this show recently, you will totally understand. I couldn't count on my fingers how many times I've seen this show. When I first watched this show I didn't even know there was a movie. Typically coming into shows like this, without context of the movie the show doesn't make sense. In this case, I watched the show 5 times before noticing the movie, yes, the added information of the movie really ties into the show, but it's still watchable without it. My Babysitter's a Vampire had so much potential it actually makes me sad. As far as rewatching it recently, that final episode is brutal without closure. I don't think I'd be able to watch a reboot if that was even a possibility. The original cast has such great chemistry and on top of that there's just the 2000's flare to it.

It sucks to see one of my favorite shows growing up lose everything. The fandom is also so extremely small due to its cancellation. But here's everything this show did right.

Casting, I think every actor incapsulates their characters greatly! They play their roles as 14–15-year-olds great and I think they display the awkward teen-age phase well. Every character is pretty likeable.

Soundtrack, the music directors/music compositors on this show put a lot of detail into their work. And mostly all of the songs were made exactly for this show.

Setting/environment, having the setting the way it is makes the show have such an amazing environment!

Overall, it's a bummer to see a show like this taken for granted. And it's also been taken off of Netflix, so I am especially hurt. I really hope there are still people who enjoy this show!
