Latest Macky thing to occupy my mind is just how chill he is for someone who was ticked the hell off at Wukong at intro, but then so softly goes "oh Wukong, what did you do now" in S4. Most of his saltiness is like "its not ABOUT the potatoes" like when he repeats the "typical Wukong doing whatever he wants with no regard for others" over noodles. Like it was poking at something else and that was the reflexive response from that. How long are they going to keep dropping such weird dialogue without content for what happeneddddd omg I'm with MK this monkey keeps vagueing all melancholy and serious and staring off into space with a haunted eye way too much like BRO. Also laughing at what I wrote there, I need to write about the gang discovering he's actually blind on one side and no amount of theatric confidence is going to hide that.

honestly love that if you boil shadowpeach down, you get "it was NEVER about the potatoes!" which is literally their whole argument under the mountain help me 💀

macky is such a scorned spouse and you cannot fight me on this i am right, actually. his passive aggressive comments, his constant under the breath comments, his complaining, he shits on swk to mk--like get a break dude 🙄

so happy they understand MK being stuck in the middle is SO CRUCIAL

MK just being a mediator...wanting them to get along SO BAD but it takes so much for them to even have a civilized conversation

it's so sad that in chapter 10, MK was having a great lesson and making great progress only for that fight to break out. SO SAD!! in constellations, MK likes seeing Macaque and Wukong getting along. he has noticed that it makes them both happier, and that's all he wants..is for them to be happy 😥

so to see that mirrored in canon was a nice treat. I think, at this point, MK will probably get annoyed at not knowing what happened between them. He might blow up and ask, like he did in constellations, all that frustration hits a boiling point and the monkeys will have no choice but to fess up.

My favorite since I was a kid has always been Wukong, monkeys are one of my favorite animals and Wukong’s legend and growth with the rest of the gang really sold him for me.

Love how they wrote him in LMK, you can tell so much love was put into not only respecting the original source but also just referencing the history/effect this lil guys had on Chinese culture!! It’s AWESOME!!

My other favs include Tang, a fellow JTTW super nerd 🤝
