The Role of Magnetic Filters in Food Industry Safety
When it comes to the food we eat, safety is a top priority. Behind the scenes, there's a lot of technology and processes ensuring the food we enjoy is free from contaminants. One such marvel is the magnetic filter. Today, we'll take a simple journey into understanding how these nifty devices, like trap magnets and liquid magnet traps, play a vital role in the food industry. And here's something cool: just like there are tech solutions safeguarding our food, this blog itself is crafted by AI technology. Let's get started!
Why Food Safety Matters
Think about your favorite snack. Now, imagine if a tiny piece of metal was inside. Doesn't sound appetizing, right? Ensuring our food is safe and free from these metal contaminants is vital. It's not just about taste; it's about our health.
Diving into Magnetic Filters
Let's simplify things. Magnetic filter are like the guardians of the food world. Using magnetism, they pull out and trap any unwanted metal bits that might be hiding in our food. There are various types of these filters, each designed for a specific job, like trap magnets, magnetic strainer filters, and liquid magnet traps.
Trap Magnets: Catching the Bigger Baddies
Picture trap magnets as the goalkeepers of the food world. Their job is to stop any larger metal pieces from passing through. When food, say grains or spices, moves past these magnets, they capture and hold onto any metal contaminants, keeping our food clean and tasty.
Magnetic Strainer Filters: Sifting Out the Tiny Intruders
You might have used a strainer in the kitchen to separate things, right? Magnetic strainer filters work similarly but with an added magnetic boost. Especially useful for liquid-based foods, they sift out even the tiniest metal specks, ensuring our soups and sauces are both delicious and safe.
Liquid Magnet Traps: Beverage Protectors
Our drinks need protection too! Liquid magnet traps specialize in making sure our beverages, from juices to milk, are pristine. They act like security checkpoints, ensuring not a single metal intruder makes it to our glasses.
The Many Perks of Using Magnetic Filters
So, why do food companies love using magnetic filters? For starters, they're super-efficient. These filters capture more contaminants than many traditional methods. They're also cost-effective. With magnetic filters in place, companies can ensure safety without breaking the bank. Plus, they're reliable. Day in and day out, these filters are on guard, ensuring every bite and sip is perfect.
Real Stories: Magnetic Filters in Action
Let's talk real life. Many companies have shared their success stories with magnetic filters. One pasta company mentioned how trap magnets were their "secret weapon" against metal bits. A juice manufacturer couldn't stop praising the liquid magnet traps, which made sure every drink was pure. These stories show how these filters are true game-changers in the food world.

Petrichor permeated the air as the last breath of the sun fled the sky, drenching heaven with inky blackness. The rain had just stopped after many days of brutal heat waves, soaking every dry crevice with a new sense of life.
Miguel crouched down on the large branch of the tree, balancing his large body with just the ball of his feet. His crimson eyes burned like candlelight in the silent darkness; the air felt sticky and heavy with a hint of sweetness.
With his eyes closed, he could hear the rushing of footsteps, running and trudging atop the wet, muddy forest floor. Miguel licked his lips tentatively, revealing his sharp, pearly canines. He ran his tongue over his fangs as thirst traced its cold fingertips along his spine. The familiar ache radiated from the base of his throat. His gum was aching and throbbing as the sweet scent filled his lungs. Saliva flooded his mouth at the prospect of his sinking his teeth into the sweet, warm flesh. He imagined what it would feel like to have that blood gushed into his mouth, satiating that ache and filling him with nothing but that sticky, sweet crimson liquid.
He had tasted you before—the salty sweetness lingered on his tongue and felt like a stimulant upon his senses. Soft and warm–like the way the sunlight kissed upon his skin many centuries ago. It was like a punishment and a salvation for him–blurring the fine line between his hunger and want. He knew then and there that he got to have you.
A deep, guttural growl emitted from deep within his chest at the thought of spending his eternity with you. A small yelp followed by a soft thud pulled him from his reverie.
You were so naive and so trusting, inviting him into your apartment without a single thought in mind. He knew from the very beginning about the attraction you felt for him. Your eyes told him everything he needed. The magnetic pull you felt at that moment your gaze landed on him was instantaneous and strong. Every molecule in your body yearned for him–it was all built-in for a creature such as himself. He was meant to tempt, to lure and to trap his prey where he wanted them.
From exchanging glances  when you invited him into your apartment for coffee to the way his voice would drop an octave or two lower when you converse with him–hell, even the way he smelled, they were all meant to trap you in his web.
Two weeks to gain your trust and two weeks to get you to need him–to want him so much that you would go crazy. He knew from the moment his lips touched yours that it would be an end game. It was unlike any hunger he had ever felt before. He swore he almost moaned out loud when his lips molded over yours in a slow, sensuous kiss. His large palm trailed to the nape of your neck, holding you there in place as his tongue twisted and flicked with yours. It took every ounce of his control then and there to not fully initiate the mating ritual because as much as he had the upper hand, he wanted you to want him–to crave him to the point where you beg for him.
Falling for him was easy when Miguel was so intune to your every need, whether it was in the bedroom or not. You were a little bit suspicious of course when he only wanted to spend time with you after the sun went down, but that little voice that was in the back of your mind was weaker than what your heart desired. It wasn’t as if he was hiding you–hell, he took you to places you’ve never dreamt of going, yet…it felt off.
You have never seen him work nor go out–hell, you weren’t trying to spy on him. You were curious. He always stayed in during the daytime, all cooped up in his apartment and not answering your text. He always made it up though with lavish gifts and attention that you never dreamt was being given to a man as attractive as Miguel was. Looking back now, you felt a pang of regret for trusting him this much.
You didn’t even bother protesting when he invited you to spend the long weekend with him at a cabin he claimed his family owned in the woods. Any sane person would have asked him more questions, especially when you only knew him for a month. With your cockdrunk brain thought, it only took a little convincing from him to get you to where he wanted you: secluded from prying eyes.
His true nature fully came out when he had you under him on the couch. He was more impatient than usual, and you only thought that it was because he was needy from not seeing you for the past three days, but something was off about him.
He was rougher than usual. Every time he grabbed your thighs and pulled you toward him, he wasn’t being careful digging his nail into your skin. There was a sense of urgency in the way he kissed you. He would let his teeth graze the delicate skin of your lips, and at times it felt like he did it intentionally to break the skin open. His tongue would then lick over that same spot, and you swore you could taste the faint salty, metallic taste on his tongue when he plunged it down your throat.
But all it took was a glimpse into his bloodlust eyes.
Somehow, underneath the amber light, his eyes seemed to glow blood red as he was kissing the space between your breasts. You were, of course, stuck in a haze when his mouth did such a sinful thing to you–licking and kissing his way down your body while his large palm covered your soft mound. There was no hesitation of course when you let out a  terrifying scream as you tried to scurry out from beneath him, but Miguel had you in a grip. And from the way your scent changes, he knows that you have figured him out.
Miguel slowly sat up as he gazed down at you. A thin trail of crimson liquid ran down his chin. His tongue darted out to lick the traces of your blood, flashing you a small glimpse of his fangs.
You were delirious and frantic at this point. You could feel a surge of adrenaline coursing through you as every cell in your body told you to run.
“What the fuck are you?”
Miguel didn’t miss the way your voice trembled as you took a step back, hand clutching whatever article of clothes you had. He also couldn’t ignore the way your heart surged, beating so hard against your ribcage as if it was about to burst through your chest cavity. He also couldn’t deny the intoxicated smell of your blood that was pumping through your veins either. His gum ached just from the desire to sink his teeth into your skin while he fuck you deeply. He had never wanted anyone in his life before–hell, he had never wanted to mate with anyone this much in all of his existence. The thought of feeding you while he bred you was driving him mad.
“You know the answer to that already, love. Do you want me to spell it out for you?”
Miguel took a step towards you, and you retreated. In the confinement of the cabin, his stature appeared larger inside the cabin. He could have easily snapped you in half if he wanted, but that was far from it.
He was right. You knew exactly what he was. Your brain could piece together the little clue. The red glowing eyes, the sharp fangs, and those talon-like nails–you knew exactly what he was.
“A-Are you going to kill me?”
Miguel laughed in reply, and you took another step backward. He knew you would want to run, and that only made this little thing a little more fun for him.
“Hmm…originally,” he replied pensively as he ran his claws through his messy, brown hair, letting some traces of your blood coated his strands. It was true. His original intention was to devour you, but for some reason, the more time he spent with you, the more he craved you in a way that feeding you would satisfy him.
“But you turned out to be far, far better than a one-time meal for me. You see, I was searching for someone that I could spend the rest of my eternity with. I’ve never thought that I would find someone as perfect as you are, but by hell…” He chuckled as if he couldn’t believe that someone like you could be real.
“You were so eager to have my affection and so eager to be with me. Not to mention how fucking perfect you are for me. Your scent–every time you came, the smell of your blood felt like some sort of stimulant to me…like a drug that somehow I can’t get enough of, so I gotta have you, sweetheart. All we need to do is perform the mating ritual, and we shall spend the rest of our eternity together.”
“You’re insane,” you managed to utter the words out. “You are fucking insane…you did all this just to make me into some sort of your little pet for you to feed on.”
Miguel chuckled again. “Hmm, I mean a nicer term would be my mate. A great deal if you ask me because the alternative will be me draining you dry until you are nothing more than skin and bones. And if it wasn’t me, there are others that are far worse than I.”
“You’re insane,” you sobbed as your back was now flushed against the cabin door.
“Hmm, am I? I thought you wanted me. You said that the last time we made love, did you not.”
You gasped out loud as you remembered that one night that he had stayed over. It was the middle of your fucking of course. You were clearly under the influence of lust to even think straight.
“You clearly said you wanted to be mine. You said that I can take you, and here I am, taking you up on that offer.”
His smile slowly turned sickly sweet. You were horrified of him of course.
“Please let me go,” you pleaded with your hands behind your back, trying to slowly turn the door knob. Miguel knew of course, but he had been a patient man. He could play along a bit more. It wasn’t like you can run far.
“Hmmm, why would I do that when I have spent so much time getting to know you?”
“Please?” you begged again, this time you knew that once you got him distracted you could bolt right out.
“No.”
You swallowed as you watched him, making sure that you could catch him off guard, and you bolted right out the door.
You ran like hell. The icy cold wind bit through your skin, as your legs burned. It wasn’t ideal to run with your bare feet, but you didn’t have a choice. You didn’t even bother to look back to see if he followed you or not.
Miguel leaped from one tree branch to another, eyes and ears pin-pointed to your location. Even at the slightest movement within his property, he could hear you. It wasn’t like you could run far, he thought to himself as he breathed in your lingering scent again. Miguel licked his lips as if the smell had invigorated him or something.
There was no time, you thought again. You have to run, you told yourself when suddenly your foot got caught by the mud and toppled you over with a soft thud. You yelped out in surprise as pain shot out from your ankle.
“Fuck, fuck fuck…” you mumbled in between your breath as you tried to pull yourself out of this predicament. Your clothes are stained with mud and dead leaves. The smell of dead vegetation filled your nostrils.
“This can’t be happening,” you sobbed as you dragged yourself forward, crawling atop the muddy forest floor. Every moment was slow as you struggled. Tears soaked your face as you heard faint footsteps following you not too far behind, stalking, observing. You didn’t dare to look. You just knew who it was, and you didn’t dare to think of anything else other than to escape.
You could barely hear what he was saying in Spanish when your heart was beating so hard against your chest. It was almost deafening by the way you were practically hyperventilating as panic set it. You didn’t want him to catch you, but damn your stupid ankle, and damn your stupid self for believing his lies. You should have known that this was too good to be true. No good men in their right mind wanted you. The thought only made you sob harder because hell, you really believed him.
You were at the point of exhaustion as Miguel continued to observe you not too far behind when hands were in his pocket. It was a pitiful sight indeed, but you were too damn stubborn, and he somehow had to teach you a lesson or two first.
“Are you done?” Miguel asked, kneeling next to you. Of course, you instinctively flinched away from him and didn’t answer, but he chose to ignore that.
“Look at what you’ve done to yourself…we could have been civilized, you know,” he said as he slid his arms underneath you and picked you up. You felt his smell enamored you as he pressed close to his chest. Why did he has to smell so fucking good all the damn time?
“You wanted to kill me,” you said in between hiccups of your sob.
“No–now, you are just being unreasonable. I wanted you—not to kill you. I want to have you, there’s two different things, sweetheart.”
“The same frickin thing,” you said in between your sobs. “I’ll end up dead regardless.”
Miguel didn’t say anything. He simply and quickly made his way back into his cabin and headed straight to the bathroom. You watched him carefully as he placed you on your feet. He turned on the shower to the warm setting and waited until the water came to the temperature.
“What are you doing?” you asked. You realized your voice was hoarse now from all the crying and screaming.
“Cleaning you…do you want to stay in these muddy, wet clothes?” His dark brows quirked as he looked at you with his crimson gaze.
“Stop pretending like you care about me when I am nothing more than your meal.”
Miguel let out an exasperated sigh. “Oh, but you are not,” he reassured you again as he crouched down until he was at your eye level. His deft fingers worked quickly with your tops and pants. “I’ve told you before, I want to have you.”
“The same fucking thing!”
Miguel huffed as his anger boiled over. He suddenly grabbed you by the nape of your neck, forcing you to look at him. There was no denying that he was furious.
“If you’re going to treat me like a fucking monster, I’ll show you a monster.”
With that, his mouth crashed into yours with a ferocity that was unlike anything you ever felt. His hard body pressed against yours almost too much. His arm snaked around your waist, constricting you. You could feel his fangs scraping your skin every now and then. His tongue plunged into your mouth, licking and sucking at your tongue.
Miguel was relentless in his quest to break you–to mold you into his perfect bride. Long had his search been to find the perfect person, and long had he been, enduring years of loneliness and drowning himself in the sea of bloodlust. But now, he found you, and he won’t stop until you become his.
He grabbed you by the ass and hoisted you up. He brought you under the hot water, your back pressed against the cool wall as his lips trailed down to your neck. You could feel his tongue licking along the column of your neck. Miguel would press his sharp fangs against your neck enough to elicit a whimper out of you, but not enough to pierce your skin just yet.
“Tell me you want me,” he said, his voice vibrating against your neck as you shudder in his arms. You could feel his cock pressed against your stomach. “Beg me to fuck you and fill you.”
You whimpered, unable to vocalize or rationalize anything.
On one hand, you wanted him. In such a short period of time, you felt like you found the one person that want you without judgment, on the other hand, he lied to you–hell, he was a fucking vampire.
Miguel groaned as he slowly ground his hips against your bare core. His large palm squeezed at your ass cheek firmly before slapping it.
“Say it!”
The growling sent chills down your spine as you let out a somewhat incoherent whimper.
You were practically sobbing in his arms as he nibbled against your skin. You were clearly scared and helpless, and Miguel could tell by the way the sickly sweet scent filled the bathroom. He had no desire to force you, but your insistence on insulting and running away from him made him this way.
Taking a deep breath, he stopped and simply stood there with you in his arms, allowing the hot water to wash dirt and grime off you. He had to tell himself that you needed time to process all of these. But time wasn’t the luxury he had right now. The mating needed to be tonight. He cannot endure another full moon without you.
After a long moment of calming himself, he finally spoke with his forehead pressed against yours. His crimson eyes were no longer glowing.
“I have no desire to spend eternity with you resenting me, so I will give you a choice of coming to me willingly. ”
“The alternative?” you croaked. “What if I don’t want to change?”
“You know the answer to that,” he said somberly as he put you down. “Clean up and don’t you fucking dare think about running again.”
*****
You finished showering and limped out of the bathroom to find Migule sitting at the edge of the bed, his eyes never faltering from you as you slowly approached him. You noticed that he was holding a pouch of blood in one hand, which was already half empty. His lips stained a deep shade of red, glistening with the liquid that he was drinking. Fear traced its way down your spine.
Miguel noticed your concerned expression and spoke. “I’m trying to feed myself so I don’t take too much from you.”
“That’s very considerate of you,” you mumbled with arms crossed over your naked chest.
“I’m not going to hurt you,” Miguel said. His warm smoky scent filled the room. The air felt so thick that you felt like you were choking on it. He held out a hand–an open invitation for you to take.
“Eternity is a long time,” you said softly. “I’m not sure if I can do that.”
Miguel closed his palm around yours and pulled you in until you were straddling him. His forehead pressed against yours again. You could feel his sickly, sweet breath brushing against your skin as you stared at him. “You’ll figure it out. I’ll make sure you see my reasons.”
With that, his lips closed against yours. This time he was gentle and slow and deliberate. It felt like the Miguel that you came to know–perhaps the visage that he had put on to make you fall for him. He trailed one hand up and down your spine, while the other held you firmly in place.
His tongue swept across your lips, then along your jawline. Licking and tasting every inch of your skin. You were practically breathless at this point as your body felt weaker against his barrage upon your senses.
“Tell me you want me,” he mumbled against your breast. His low, baritone voice sent a tremor straight through you as his crimson eyes watched you. “Beg me to take you.”
“P-please take me…” you said in a haze as your lashes fluttered from the wet sensation of his mouth against your breast.
He grunted and bit down slightly on your right breast. A small gush of your blood flooded his mouth as he drank you in. Every inch of his body felt like it was set ablaze as the sweet taste of your blood coated his tongue. He felt his cock hardened as every part of him filled with nothing but you.
It should have hurt, but your fucked up brain was far too gone. Instead of pain, you felt pleasure as your pussy felt like it was gushing out even more slick.
“Fuck,” he growled as his tongue darted out to lick the small puncture wound on your soft mound. “I’m going to fuck you so good, baby. I’m going to drink you, fill you, and breed you until you’re filled with nothing but me.”
You whined as he had you on your back. His large body hovered over yours. You were practically delirious at this point. Miguel still licked his lips, savoring the way your blood still lingered on them. It took everything in him to not initiate the ritual then. He wanted to enjoy you as a mortal first, taking his time a bit before changing you.
Miguel licked two of his long, thick fingers, wetting them first before he brought it down to your nether lips. His fingers brushed against the fold, allowing your wetness to coat them before he plunged them right into your soppy pussy.
Your body jolted instantly as he was knuckled deep inside you. The soft, squelching sound filled the room as he pumped his digits in and out with intent. Miguel’s thumb pressed and swiped against your clit, bringing you raw pleasure. Your body responded in such a way that you didn’t understand. You were practically grounding your hips against his arms, fucking yourself on his fingers needily.
“Miguel…” you moaned, but he didn’t verbally respond. Instead, he bent his head down and licked the same spot where he had drank from you.
He suddenly added a third finger and he suddenly sped up his movement while his mouth was around your stiff nipple. Pleasure bombarded your senses.
You moaned out his name again.
“You like that, hmmm?”
You nodded frantically. “Yes, yes, yes,” you chanted under your breath as you watched him with a hazy gaze.
“Hmmm,” he said before withdrawing his fingers from you. A protesting whine left your lips, but you soon found yourself gasping again when he swiftly moved down. His mouth was practically devouring your pussy. His tongue pressed and toyed with your clit while his vice-like grip held you in place.
A deep rumbling noise emitted from his chest and vibrated straight through your pussy. Your clit was throbbing to your frantic heartbeat. Your pussy clenched and unclenched at the emptiness you wish he would fill you with. It was like a never-ending hell as he tore you apart and put you back together simultaneously. And it wasn’t long when you came with a strangled cry.
Miguel continued to plunge his tongue into your needy hole, lapping at your essence. You could feel his sharp fangs traced against the skin of your inner thigh. And without a thought he sank his teeth into your flesh once again, drinking you slowly. It was like a burst of adrenaline shot through his veins as your sweet taste coursed through his body. As if his cock weren’t hard already, whatever the fuck your blood was doing to him was like some sort of drug that made him mad.
“I’m going to fuck you so good, baby,” he mumbled as he moved to kneel between your legs. A trail of thick blood ran down his chin as he looked at you. He was wild, terrified, and hot all at once, and you felt your reservation slowly slipping.
His arms slid between under thighs, lifting them over his forearms as his body moved closer so that his knees were now close to your chest. He adjusted his hips and pressed the fat tip of his cock against your wet entrance. His crimson eyes never tore away from you.
Miguel slowly pressed forward, entering you with a slow and precise movement. Your eyes closed as he stretched you out deliciously, filling you with that long, thick cock. You could barely have your eyes opened as he began to move, driving himself into you with a ferocity that you’ve never experienced before.
Miguel was dangerous alright–not in the way that he was a vampire, but by the way he knew how to make you feel far too damn good. He was your heaven and hell wrapped up into one.
He sank deeper, lowering his weight until you felt like you couldn't take anymore. Every thrust made you breathless. You could feel his balls slapped against your ass every time he slammed into you, making you moan louder.
The smell of smoky, sweet scent filled your nostrils as he dipped his head and pressed his lips against your neck. You could feel his every grunt reverberating through you from the effort of his movement alone.
That familiar warmth ran down his spine and straight through his balls. He knew he was close, and by the way your pussy was clenching around him, he knew you were close too.
Without a thought, he sank his teeth into you and drank you in as he continued to fuck you. Rapture tore through you with a newfound sensation, unlike anything you felt before. Your body felt like it was floating as coldness seeped through you.
And then an intense, salty coppery taste coated your tongue, filling you and drowning you with it. You realize that Miguel no longer moved as he allowed you to drink from his wrist. His blood filled you, choking you until the darkness took you over.
He sat there, watching as your body lay limp. Anxiety filled him as he waited. Perhaps he took too much, or perhaps he didn’t give you enough.
A faint thud pulled Miguel out of his thoughts. And then Another, and another.
Miguel watched pensively as you slowly opened your eyes. His lips stretched into a smile.

Making Magnetic Crystals From Ferrofluids
Tumblr media
Ferrofluids are a great platform for exploring liquids and magnetism. Here, researchers trap ferrofluid droplets along an oil-water meniscus and then apply a magnetic field that makes the drops repel one another.  (Video and image credit: H. Khattak et al.) Read the full article

Moments after Meg hung up the phone, your front door swung open. He looked pissed, and a little bit concerned, as his eyes moved over you.
“You alright?” He asked gruffly as his eyes swept down your body, subsequently looking for any injuries. You nodded, unable to speak out loud from the confusion and terror coursing through you. His eyes returned to yours with a look that read as sympathetic, like he was sorry.
Before he could move again, Meg returned her hold on you with a nod of her head. Your feet left the ground once more, and you couldn’t stop the scream that came up from your belly as you were pressed against the wall again.
“Dammit, Meg!” Dean cursed. He took a step towards you and Meg stopped him in his tracks.
“Uh, uh, uh,” she wagged her finger. “Not another step, Dean.”
“You wanted to talk? Well, you got me,” he held his hands out wide, and to you it looked like he was trying to show her that he had no weapons or wasn’t trying to threaten her. It made you wonder what kind of weapon could stop Meg, or a demon, rather. It also made you worried for your friend who, you guessed, was trapped in there somewhere. But really, you had no idea.
“Yeah, well, something tells me that if I let her go, this won’t just be a friendly chat anymore,” she rounded the corner a bit as Dean shifted in the living room. Her back was now to the kitchen, which led to your laundry room and back door. Your eyes noticed movement in the shadows of the laundry room. You would’ve screamed if Meg still didn’t have her hold on you.
“What do you want, Meg?” You knew Dean had to see the man slowly inching his way into the kitchen, but he didn’t falter. He didn’t even allow his eyes to pass over the shadow. Instead, he continued talking to Meg.
“Word on the street is that you and your idiot brother are trying to close the gates of Hell,” she shifted her body so she was completely facing Dean. “You’ve got a lot of people looking for you, ya know.”
“Ah, come on. I shouldn’t be that hard to find,” Dean quipped back.
At that very moment, the shadow stepped fully into the light. He was a tall man, and based on Meg’s comment, you assumed he may have been Dean’s brother, Sam. In two quick, long strides he was just a few feet behind Meg. You noticed the gallon jug of what looked like water in his arms. In one quick movement, he doused Meg with the liquid and she screamed. She writhed against the water, and fog or smoke started to lift off of her skin.
As soon as the water had been tossed, you felt the weight fall away and gravity took over. You fell to the ground in a heap just like you had before. Dean reached you quickly, he tentatively put a hand on your shoulder and eyed the situation in front of him. The taller man in the room snapped what looked like cuffs on Meg's wrists. She sputtered as she looked down at them.
“Devil’s trap on cuffs?” She tried to mock, but somehow you could tell she was frustrated. “Very clever, boys.” She spit out some of the water that she had ingested. You clambered to your feet and brushed your hair out of your eyes as you attempted to regain your composure. Dean moved in front of you and blocked your view. “Aren’t you tired of playing games? I sure am.”
“You’re the one who started this,” the taller man pushed back as he held onto her arm. Even though her hands were locked in handcuffs, it seemed he was still nervous she would run off.
“Oh, come on, Sasquatch,” she rolled her eyes. “You know you wouldn’t have listened to me if the circumstances were different.” Her eyes moved towards where you stood behind Dean. She peered her head to see around him. As soon as she made eye contact, you averted your gaze.
“Don’t look at her,” Dean said firmly as he adjusted his stance. “You know what they say, Meg. Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”
“Yeah, well, what now, hot shot? You gonna use the demon blade on me? Take me hostage? What happens when I ditch this meat suit?” She bit back. Your eyes focused on Dean’s back and wondered what any of that meant. The memory of what Meg had referred to earlier surfaced: whatever happens to that body, happens to Jen.
“Jen’s my best friend,” there was a slight stutter to your soft voice as you tried to cope with everything that had happened. “Don’t hurt her.”
Dean’s head cocked to the side as he listened to you. You watched the muscle that lined his jaw flinch before he turned back to Meg.
“We’re gonna send this bitch back to Hell,” Dean’s words came out strong and confident. It sent a shiver throughout your body. Before you could ask what that meant, Dean seemed to sense your question. “Don’t worry, it’s not gonna hurt your friend.”
Meg seemed nervous, but Sam started speaking in a language you didn’t recognize. Latin, maybe? But as he spoke, Meg seemed to become very uncomfortable. She pulled against the cuffs, and then something happened that you had only ever seen in movies before—the kind of movies that gave you nightmares. You peered over Dean’s shoulder and watched as Jen’s head shook violently side to side. Her mouth opened and then thick black smoke began to funnel out of her. Instinctively, you reached forward and grabbed a fistful of Dean’s jacket. A tremble coursed through your body.
And then just like that, your friend crumpled to the floor. Sam rushed to her with a key and undid the handcuffs.
You pushed past Dean and dropped to your knees by her. She slowly opened her eyes.
“Where the hell am I?” She blinked up at you and the two men standing over you and sat up quickly. "And why am I wet?"
“Jen, take it easy,” you breathed and tried to calm your shaking hands. “You passed out.” It wasn’t a total lie, and you already knew Jen would have a hard time believing any of this. You certainly did, until you saw it for yourself. "I splashed some water on you to try to get you to wake up."
“I…I don’t even remember coming inside. I pulled up to your driveway, and then something happened…” her words fell off as you could sense her trying to remember. “There was black smoke.” Her eyes widened and you panicked.
“You must have hallucinated or something,” you quickly tried to fill in the gaps.
“Yeah, I guess so,” she rubbed at her forehead before she took on the two men behind you. Her eyebrows went upwards as she tried to place the two of them. “Is that…?”
Before anyone could say anything else, you interjected. “Jimmy and Ben, my new neighbors. They, uh, they heard me yelling for help when you passed out,” you lied through your teeth. You had lied to her more than once tonight, and that didn’t sit well with you, but the alternative (the truth) was too complicated. “They came to help.” Dean and Sam both managed a small nod as they watched over Jen. “Here, let me walk you both out.”
“You sure?” Dean eyed you carefully as you stood and helped your friend to her feet. You led her to the couch, but her gaze stayed on Dean.
“I’m sure,” you answered quickly. “I’ll get her some food and water. I’m sure it was just a low blood sugar thing.”
“I don’t have low blood sugar,” Jen’s voice was low but she plopped down on the couch anyway.
“I’m sure it’ll be fine,” your words were jumbled together. You just wanted to get Dean and Sam out. Jen had read the articles, you knew she would recognize Dean once she fully became aware of her surroundings, if she hadn’t already. The whole demon thing was hard enough for you to understand, and you had witnessed it for yourself.
You gently placed a hand on Dean’s back and one on Sam’s as you ushered them to the door. Once you were through the doorway, you pulled the door shut behind you and closed your eyes. It felt like the first time you could take a breath since this entire ordeal started (and to be honest, since you had stumbled upon the articles about Dean in the first place).
“Jimmy and Ben?” Dean’s voice was low as he eyed you cautiously. He didn’t know where you stood in all of this, but was dying to find out. To be honest, you didn't even know yourself; there was so much to wrap your mind around.
“I panicked,” you matched his volume. “I couldn’t tell her the truth. She just got done reading articles about how you’re both murderers and are supposed to be dead. I’m sure she’ll put it together once she sees your pictures again. I just have to figure out how to explain it to her. She’s never going to understand.” You nibbled subconsciously on your bottom lip. Once you realized you were doing it, your eyes popped up to Dean. His words from that night were all you could process: “What’d I tell you about that lip?” You released it immediately, though you could tell by the way he clenched his teeth and his jaw tightened, he had noticed.
“Do you understand?” Dean asked gently. Whatever hold you had over him a moment ago, he had pushed it out of his brain and refocused on the situation you were currently in.
“Not in the least,” you sighed as the weight of everything seemed to fall over you; you had to lean against the door just to hold yourself up. “But I’m realizing there are things I guess I just can’t understand. And maybe you aren’t a psychopath and maybe you were telling me the truth. Is Jen going to be alright?”
Dean offered a small smile, but his eyes still pierced through you—it was almost as if he was worried if he looked away, you might keel over. “She’ll be fine. She might have weird memories, but physically, she’ll be alright.”
You nodded, satisfied with that answer. “So what does this all mean? And that was a demon?” Your eyes danced between them and then steadied on Sam. “And you—how did you get into my house? I have so many questions.” You sounded exasperated, because that’s exactly what you were.
Sam smiled cautiously. It seemed like these boys were worried if they weren’t careful, you might break. “It was way too easy. You really should lock your windows,” he chuckled lightly before he rubbed the back of his neck. “I’m Sam, by the way. It’s nice to meet you,” he put his hand out for you to shake. You were hesitant, but you took it. After all, these guys had just saved your life.
“We’re gonna stay close, once Jen leaves, let’s talk, alright?” Dean offered, still with a low tone. “I’m sure if Meg knows about you, others do too. Or they will soon enough. We’ll park a few houses down and keep an eye out.”
“And what about Meg? Is she truly gone?” You watched them nervously.
“For now,” Dean answered. “She’ll find a way out of hell, she always does. If word gets out, which it will, about what we’re trying to do, she’ll claw her way out before she lets it happen. Most of them will…” his words were hard and serious. This was serious.
“I have so many questions,” the words came out in a breath. Now that the shock was wearing off, the utter fear, anxiety and physical pain from falling twice was starting to set in.
“I know you do, sweetheart,” it almost seemed like Dean winced after he said the word, but you ignored it. “We’ll get there, I promise. Just try to relax. You’re safe right now, and I intend to keep it that way.”
You knew he meant it by the force of his words and the look in his eyes. You nodded.
“Okay, then,” you took a shaky breath and straightened yourself so you weren’t leaning against the door. “I’ll, um, I’ll call you?” You glanced back at Dean and he nodded. He seemed to hesitate for a moment, like there was something he wanted to do. But instead, he and Sam walked down your front steps and to the street to head back to the car.
You took a deep breath before you went inside.
Tumblr media
“So, wanna know what’s weird?” Jen asked as you rinsed the dishes. You made her sit at the table and drink her water, even after she tried to insist on helping you. She hadn’t brought up anything that had happened, and you were thankful, though surprised. You had a twisting feeling in your gut that told you that was about to change.
“Hmm?” You hummed as you put the rinsed dish in the dishwasher.
“Your neighbor looks a lot like Dean…” she eyed you over her water glass.
Thankfully, the dish had made it on the rack before it slipped out of your hands. You let a few seconds pass before you laughed nervously.
“Really? I guess I didn’t see it,” you avoided eye contact even though you could feel her gaze.
Jen stood from her seat and you eyed her carefully. There were uneasy feelings when you looked at her that you couldn’t forget. You knew it wasn’t her before—she didn’t have some crazy superpower and she couldn’t fling you against a wall. But still, it was hard to separate what happened with Meg from your friend standing beside you.
“Oh, please,” she gave you a look that told you she knew you weren’t giving her the whole story. “The man you’ve been trying to forget for three days has an uncanny resemblance to your ‘neighbor’ and you don’t notice?” She folded her arms across her chest.
“Jen, I can’t explain it,” you said simply with a sigh as you finally turned to face her. “I’m sorry for everything—I’m sorry you passed out, I’m sorry for dragging you into the whole Dean thing. I’m just sorry.”
Her gaze softened as you blabbed in the middle of your kitchen. “Hey, you don’t owe me any apologies, okay?” If only she knew the truth. “I’m your best friend. You don’t have to apologize for anything. And you can talk to me, alright?” You nodded once and focused your gaze on the tile by your feet. “Look, it’s been a long night. I’m exhausted. I’m gonna head out, but can we talk tomorrow? Please?” She tilted her head so you’d look at her.
Tomorrow. At least it gave you some time to process everything. “Tomorrow sounds good,” you replied. Jen sighed and wrapped her arms around you in a hug. “You sure you’re okay to drive home?” Worry bubbled through you. Even though Dean had said she would be alright, you just couldn’t be sure. Hell, you weren’t sure of anything at that moment.
“Oh, I’m fine,” she said as she pulled back with a small smile. “It takes me maybe five minutes to get home. I’ll even text you when I get there.”
“Okay, deal,” you smiled back. You walked your friend to the door and promised her a phone call the next day. Your arms folded across your chest as you stood on your front porch and watched her pull away, partially to block the cool night air in Virginia, but also to protect yourself from everything that had terrified you that night. Both sent shivers up your spine.
As soon as her tail lights turned down another street, headlights illuminated behind you. Just as promised, it looked as though Dean and Sam had parked just a few houses down the block.
As they pulled up to the curb in front of your home, you recognized that it wasn’t the Impala.
Both doors opened at the same time, and you tried to manage a smile as they got out of the car. “How’re you doing?” Dean asked as they climbed the steps to your porch.
A shrug lifted and dropped your shoulders. “It’s been a weird three days, putting it lightly.”
You opened the door to welcome them inside.
“Ha,” Dean chuckled lightly. “I can imagine.” You realized how he must have felt after not hearing from you. While you had gone through your own misery and fear of losing him because you thought he was some psychopathic killer, to then realizing he was telling the truth, he must have been so confused and worried.
“Hey, uh, could I use your restroom?” Sam asked as he cleared his throat. You nodded and showed him the way. It was pretty obvious he was trying to give you and Dean a moment.
Dean hesitated, but came back to stand in front of you after Sam went down the hall.
“I owe you an apology,” you said softly as you tried to calm your heart as it raced in your chest.
“No you don’t,” he shook his head adamantly and shoved his hands in his pockets to busy them so he wouldn’t reach out and touch you. “You had every right to run for the hills. In fact, I owe you an apology.” Before you could say anything, he continued. “There are a lot of things I should’ve done…and probably some things I shouldn’t have, too.” His tone had dropped. “You’re wrapped up in this because of me. And I’m sorry for that.”
“It’s okay,” you murmured as you studied his eyes. They were the same as you remembered them from just a few days before. “I was interested in you from the jump. And I called you, remember?”
“Oh, I remember,” he chuckled softly as his face softened. “But I probably should’ve said no.”
You shook your head immediately without having to take a second thought.
“No, please don’t say that,” you reached for his hands and pulled them from his pockets. The feeling of his skin on yours once more created a flutter in your chest that almost felt like pieces were being put back together. “Even knowing all that I know now, as crazy as it’s going to sound…I wouldn’t go back and change anything.”
Dean brought your hands up to his lips and left a soft kiss there. “I hear you. And I wouldn’t want to change it, either. But this life isn’t a life you want anything to do with. I should’ve been smarter about that. I usually am, but you were…”
“Different,” you answered for him with a small nod. “I know what you mean.”
Sam had reemerged from the bathroom and slowly made his way into the living room. He cleared his throat to announce his presence.
“So, what does this mean now? You’re sure Jen isn’t in any kind of danger?” Dean had let your hands go and you shifted your gaze to look at both of them.
“I don’t think so,” Dean answered. “Meg wanted to get to us, and she knew she could do that through you. We’ll have a friend of ours keep an eye on Jen, just to be safe.” You felt okay with that answer, for now at least. “But you, on the other hand…” his words fell again as he looked at you. “I don’t wanna scare you when I say this—“
You cut him off with a wave of your hand. “With all I’ve witnessed and learned today, I don’t think I could be more scared than I already am. Lay it on me.”
Dean offered up a small smile. “If Meg knows about you, then others will, too.” You nodded as you tried to process. “How do you feel about coming to Kansas for a little while?”

Chapter 8 Preview:
“Hey, I know this is a lot to take in,” Dean started slowly. Both of the boys kept treating you like you were made of glass, which was a little bit annoying but also made sense. It felt like you were all waiting for the other shoe to drop.
“I’m okay,” you said out loud for him, but also for yourself. “I’m not really a big fan of the unknown…I’m a planner.” You mumbled as you looked around at your things.
“Not big on taking chances, huh?” Dean chuckled softly as his eyes watched you move. Again, it was like he was waiting for it all to set in and for you to crumble.
“Nope,” you sighed as you finally looked back at him. “Rule follower, remember?” You managed a half-smile as you remembered the first time you met in Atlanta.
“Oh, I remember,” Dean smirked back. He took a few steps towards you and you both sat on the edge of your bed. “Just keep in mind–this doesn’t have to be forever.” Your head had dipped a bit, so he moved his to find your gaze.

Hyperlaser headcannons under the cut as a special treat..
The blue section beside his visor are a bunch of cameras that send signals to the electronics inside the helmet that connect to his brain through the plate and wires at the back of his head so he can see around himself in a 360° range
His antenna do move up and down like ears. No I will not clarify
^ this also isn't a useless function- in his incident he also lost most of his hearing, so the antenna act like hearing aids of sorts, them being able to move around just help with it.
With the nature of his job, it also becomes very important that if he gets lost or... passes away on a job, he can be tracked and found. The helmet and gloves both have these functions added into them.
^ he is afraid of any kind of.. tampering with this and his cameras, though.
I like to think he also isnt fully blind without his helmet? He can see the difference of drastic light and dark and a few shadows, but it's tough to make out any shapes.
He absolutely went to Katana's place one time and painted a mug over there. He came back to BlackRock with a Princess mug and no one knows where he got it from
His gloves are made to trap cold to consistently soothe his burn scars, as they do tend to act up quite a lot
speaking of his gloves, he has a keyboard and hologram tabs he can open... IDK HOW TO EXPLAIN IT BUT ITS ON THE REF
the back of his helmet plates open up to show the outer cables that connect to his head!
His tail is a prosthetic, in the back mini ref you can see the attachment portion and in the full ref you can see the cross-section! It uses magnets and the willpower of science in the future to connect somewhat normally
yes his tail can move naturally too, he probably can't swim with it pretty well
Tempted to make all the blue stuff cooling liquid!! So it flows through most of his mechanics and he doesnt overheat like a bio
(Also yes if you can see those mini pages they are heavily inspired by @someduckwithagun's newspaper series thingy!!! I just found it so silly and. I had to...)

Cursed obsession -*Part 1*
Tumblr media
✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~✧~✴~
Synopsis: Your soldier Sukuna defies and attempts to murder you, his ruler. Put him in his place.
Content/Warnings: Smut 18+, MDNI, restrains, plot with porn, choking, double dicks, oral, coarse language, partly consensual, hair pulling, anal play, use of the word master, true form, attempted murder
Word count: 1,578 (will most likely be a 3 part series, part 2 is already in the works. )
In the world of Caedes, you were a powerful and merciless ruler seeking to expand your control over the rest of this world, other worlds and conquer all who stood your way. You pretended to be kind and benevolent towards civilians and soldiers of Caedes, but in reality, you only saw them as pawns to be used for your own benefit. You demanded unwavering loyalty and obedience from them, knowing that their labor and sacrifices would aid you in your ultimate goal.
Among your soldiers was Sukuna, a fierce sorcerer stronger than the rest who envied your position and wanted it for himself, but since you were able to awaken your full potential and learn the ultimate void, he knew he couldn’t overtake you. As Sukuna continued to challenge your authority, whether it be by rebelling to take on requested high priority missions or refusing to fight with other soldiers, you became intrigued by his defiance. You saw in him a spirit that mirrored your own: unwavering and a desire for power and control that burned fiercely. Despite his opposition, you knew that his strength and skills could be useful in your quest for total destruction.
When Sukuna could take your orders no longer, he snuck through an unguarded crawl space outside your castle near the dungeon and made his way into the torture chambers.
“Please! Let me go, I didn’t find out anything, I swear!” You were torturing a spy from a distant land who was trying to seek out your war strategy to come. As you reveled in the spy’s suffering, a sense of unease crept over you. A presence, dark and malevolent as yours, lingered in the shadows, you knew without a doubt it was Sukuna. You run into the other chambers, turning your attention towards the shadows, eyes scanning the darkness for any sign of him. And then suddenly, he appears before you. Within milliseconds, Sukunas arm swung with an unleashed dark bolt of energy straight to your jaw, causing it to drop.
“Open up your majesty” sukuna smirked. You see him pull out a vial of liquid. Wait, you recognize this, its the king of deadly poisons, 1 milliliter alone and thats enough to kill. Quickly, while he attempts to open the vial, you quickly run and grapple his legs out from under him, resulting in you tackling him to the ground.
“Give me one good reason i don’t kill you now!” you snap. Silently, he lay before you, his determination wavered. He was entranced by your presence, by the raw power that emanated from you. You see his eyes devouring you like a vulture. He found himself unable to deliver a fatal blow, trapped in a web of lust and desire that he could not escape. You could see the conflict in Sukuna's eyes, staring into yours as if he was puzzled by something, the struggle between his need to destroy you and the undeniable attraction he felt towards you. There was a primal urge between us, a magnetic pull that neither of us could resist, which Sukuna found himself hating a weakness such as that to surface
"You may try to kill me, Sukuna," you whispered, eyes locked with his while sitting on top of him, "But deep down, you want a taste of this power and control”. You slowly put your lips closer to the nape of his neck “You want the same control I have over my people, except I’m the one you want to dominate. You want a taste? Lets see if you can try indulging yourself” you whisper “Fuck women, why would i want a weakling like you? You call yourself a ruler, and yet you cant even notice an intruder coming in your fucking window” Sukuna snaps back.
You quickly grasp your hand around his neck and start choking him. “Weakling you say?  Im sure from that spy’s perspective over there he would say you are the weakling” Sukuna's power was steady, but not growing stronger, his muscles tense with conflicting emotions. I could see the struggle in his eyes, the battle between his pride and his desire.
“Whats this I wonder?” you use your cursed speech and are making him immobile momentarily while you reach for the vial of poison he had earlier. You know that he is immune to all poison, so of course hes not scared. Instead, you decide this is a great chance to teach him a lesson. You rip his pants in half, exposing two erect cocks. You then rip off his shirt, seeing a crease  where a mouth may be? On his stomach? With the vial in hand, you sit backwards on his stomach and slowly lick the bottom of the vial while glancing back at him, then you lean over and slowly start prodding his ass with it, circling and entering. You see his lower cock start throbbing. “They say you have ‘bottomless’ cursed energy, but they clearly haven't seen this ass” you chuckle at him.
“What the hell are you doing! You have a death wish?!” sukuna exclaimed, he sounded enraged, yet his eyes were brimming with pleasure. “No, I just have to punish my soldier since he's been bad as of late”
“Damn women, just wait till I get my hands on you!” He says that, but then he starts rocking his hips back and forth, the vial getting stuffed in and out of him, keeping him wanting more with each plunge. You take the vial out of him and wait for him to respond. He starts thrusting his hips again, hes horny, erect and also angry. “Mmhm-you’ve gone this far, why stop now?” he snarled.
“You need to start apologizing to your master”, you undress and sit back backwards on his stomach again, rubbing your clit on him when the mouth in his stomach appears.
“Perfect time to apologize, how about you put that mouth to use” The tongue slowly circles around your clit, drool collecting a pool underneath you. The tongue starts to speed up, flicking up and down, making your now soaked pussy aching for more. Its tongue enters inside you, the course yet slimy tongue thrusting again and again to your cervix, and curling upwords, pushing harshly on your G-spot “I-ughh, I need more..than this damn vial” sukuna sighs
With his tongue still inside you, thrusting so hard it lifts you up a bit, you lean over again and start swirling your tongue around his top dick, savoring every lick of pre cum. You then spit on his dick, and shove it in your mouth while gripping and stroking the base of it, while your other hand strokes his second one. His tongue going faster and deeper now, a second tongue protrudes out, rubbing your clit now too. “Mmmhm!, fuck..you still have to do much more to atone-mmhm!" Your almost at your limit, you can feel his dick pulsing and throbbing in your throat with now 2 tongues in your pussy, one rubbing on your G-spot and one hitting your cervix, alternating times. You then grab the bottle again, coating it in the pool of spit from sucking on his dick, then start thrusting it deep inside of him with his dick still in your mouth
“Deese dicks….. meed to kmow ..who bare master is *gasp* and not just the two right here” you smirk with his cock half in your mouth. “You damn bitch, you think your so powerful, but look at how meak you are wanting to savor every bit… of this powerful body…mmhm!”
Grabbing your hair - he pushes and pulls your head harshly up and down: "Ahh fuckkk, Im gonna….MMHM”, an explosion of hot cum gushes down your throat while his second dick spurts up in the air landing on your face and back. Lifting yourself away and licking the hot cum off your face, you slowly pull the vial out of him and stand up. “Well that was disappointing, my strongest soldier came before satisfying his ruler” you sigh and decide you should use your cursed speech again.
“Why are you using that annoying curse again?!” sukuna asked angrily. “Because I’m not done with you yet, you weren’t even able to finish me and you certainly haven’t learned your lesson. Plus there are quite a few things we need to discuss that I’m sure you won’t willingly partake in. Now, let’s get you a new outfit”
Sukuna still paralyzed, you go towards a crate in the corner of the room which had many energy suppressing ropes. “Ah, these will work nicely” you say happily as you walk back to him.
“How about you use that in your mouth since it don’t know when to shut the hell up” Sukuna snaps. “There wasn’t a problem with my mouth a minute ago though, was there? Yours on the other hand desperately needs this” You slowly, somewhat loosely gag him and proceed to box tie him, arms now back and feet together. You then decide to wrap the rope around the crease of his balls and wave the rope around the bases of both his dicks, turning them slightly red.
“Are my dicks that much of a weapon?” Sukuna chuckles “Quite the opposite in fact, they are just too ‘quick’ to act and annoyed me, so I thought it best to help them out.” you chuckle back. Sukuna rolls his eyes and accepts his position, well aware that he can’t escape, but has a feeling you won’t kill him…well...most likely.

Back when I wrote a brunch of headcanons on the possible science (more sci-fi really) behind Chuuya's ability and in extension Corruption, I looked into the effects of electrical force (and magnetic force). Neither are affected by gravity, so they both would make effective weapons against a gravity user. A.k.a Chuuya. So not only could he defeated by an electricity based ability or weapon, he could be contained by magnets.
Going to answer that ask NOW because I missed my chance last time
I don't know how magnetic forces could be used on their own to hold him down because if he touches the magnets he could probably push them outward and escape but I will say my first thought was that one trap Eggman made in Sonic Unleashed that managed to trap Super Sonic (and then extract the Chaos Emeralds)
Tumblr media
I do enjoy Chuuya having to deal with non-physical (or well, any liquid) attacks. Put some creativity and higher stakes in there.

Break down of my melon soda float prop for my Sailor Jupiter Bunny Suit build. You could easily tweak this for any other drink prop and the majority of materials were sourced from Daiso, including the tray it velcros to so it's fairly low budget.
Tumblr media
Materials:
-Desired cup/glass for drink (I would advise sticking with plastic versions for weight and safety reasons) -Plastic ice cubes -Masking or Washi tape -Clear seed beads or Caviar beads in multiple sizes -Clear craft glue -Super glue -UV Resin & alcohol dye OR Stain Glass window paint (Gallery Glass would be my rec) - Some sort of thin, clear plastic sheeting I used part of a salad container -*Muddle spoons or straw or similar decor (polymer clay sprinkles, glitter, any sort of inclusion) -*Foam clay & an ice cream mold or scoop if you want to make a float -*Acrylic paint -*Velcro or Magnets if you would like to stick to a prop tray that you can also remove for photos
*= optional materials
‼️ SAFETY ADVISORY ‼️
If you choose to use UV resin for this you must have proper PPE. That means gloves, respirator with appropriate filters, mixing cups, well filtered workspace, and knowing how to properly dispose of scrap. Do not pour it down drains, please cure all runoff or extra fully before disposing of in household waste. Resin that is still in it's liquid state must be disposed of in chemical waste, this includes paper towels or anything else used to "clean up". You can take a moment to read more here or do your own googling for proper precautions before getting started.
Tumblr media
The first thing I did was make my ice cream scoop since it needed to cure for a few days. I found this great little scoop mold I shaped the foam clay too and froze for a bit. Once it was firm enough to remove I set it by a window to dry. Then worked on making a clear plastic base that would fit inside my glass and act as the "top" of my "liquid".
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When the base was done and fit snugly to my glass I primed my dry ice cream scoop in glue. This was partly to keep a barrier over the blue foam so the color didn't leach, and partly to give the acrylic paint something to bite into without being absorbed by the foam. Then it was painted a nice shade of vanilla and glued to the plastic base with craft glue. I poked two holes on the underside to also add a pair of short metal flat head wire supports to make sure it didn't peel off. The supports themselves were set with super glue, a bit overkill I know.
Tumblr media
Between my paint layers drying I was also puzzle piecing in ice cubes in the glass to see what combination looked the most appealing. However, it also needed to accommodate that clear plastic base so there was constant test fittings. The trick here with fit is you want the cubes to fit snug vertically but not touching the sides of the cup too. You need that wiggle room for the UV resin/window paint. If it rattles around on the sides a bit that would be ideal.
Tumblr media
When I found a composition that worked I carefully super glued each cube only where it touched the other cubes. Sometimes superglue oxidizes a little funny on clear surfaces and it can leave a sort of foggy buildup. In those instances you can wipe it away with an alcohol swab to keep things looking clear. As with the step before I keep checking the fit to the glass to make sure I have proper clearance to keep the base level.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When my cubes were one weird unit the fun began! I mixed some different sized clear seed beads (you can also use caviar beads) in some clear pva glue. You want a more dry mixture so it helps to let it set up a bit and get sort of gummy. The idea is replicating how bubbles accumulate in carbonated drinks, so keeping it at points where you would imagine they would get trapped under cubes helps. Of course so does referencing an actual drink lol. I just piled on and semi sculpted the beads in chunks and waited for them to cure.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Of course this same bubble detail was added to the clear base under the ice cream scoop as well. This time just around the perimeter of the scoop. At this point I realized I was forgetting something, the cherry! It is actually an earring I lose the pair to lol. I also cut out a small slot in the plastic base to fit a straw through. On the right you can see how everything looks at this last and final test fit before the "soda" portion was added. The washi tape was used to keep the inner lip clean of UV resin later, but also to mark where my base should be resting.
Tumblr media
Putting the cubes and top layer to the side I got to mixing my UV resin. As a point of reference I used just under 1 jumbo tube of the Daiso clear resin which is around 20g or .70oz of product. I mixed some liquid pigment to the shade of green I wanted and got to pouring. Keeping the tape on I poured all of my resin in and kept turning my glass for even coverage. Once that was good to go I sat outside for about 5 minutes slowly turning the glass in direct sun until the resin set enough to stop moving. At this point the washi tape was peeled off. Then I left in on my porch to finish curing in the sun until the following day. The cup will get warm to hot depending on the volume of UV resin so please be mindful. If you were to use window paint I would build up the color over a few days in thin coats and like a silicone brush. When the cup was fully cured I fit my cubes back in and the clear base, and added the straw to the little divot to make sure it all fit well. It did so I went ahead and removed the straw and added some super glue to the top most cube that laid flush against that little sheet of plastic and pressed the ice cream scoop on the base firmly into place. Once it was in I slipped the straw through the divot on the side and mixed a little more green resin that was poured around the ice cream scoop to seal it all in. Then it was once again left on my porch for a full day. If you were doing this in window paint a thick layer on top and texture it to look more like a drink. Though do to it's want to self level there may be some mild resistance until it starts to set up. When my prop was fully cured I added some velcro to the base so it would stick to my drink tray and be peeled off for photos not pictured lmao. Badda bing badda boom it was done!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Lightweight, fun to make, and fairly low budget this is a prop you could make with things from most dollar stores not just Daiso. Personally I think the dollar tree two part acrylic champagne flutes would be perfect for this.

Keeping Your Appliances Safe: How Magnetic Strainer Filters Prevent Damage
Appliances play a crucial role in our daily lives, making household tasks more efficient and convenient. However, they are susceptible to damage caused by foreign particles and debris that find their way into the system. One effective solution to protect appliances from such damage is the use of magnetic strainer filters. In this blog, we will explore the importance of magnetic strainer filters, how they work, and the benefits they offer in preventing damage to your valuable appliances.
Understanding Magnetic Strainer Filters
Magnetic strainer filters are ingenious devices designed to capture and remove ferrous (magnetic) particles from fluids or gases passing through them. These filters consist of a mesh screen or cartridge that incorporates powerful magnets. As the fluid flows through the filter, the magnetic field attracts and retains any ferrous contaminants, preventing them from entering the appliance and causing potential damage.
Preventing Appliance Damage
Foreign particles like rust, metal shavings, or other debris pose a significant threat to appliances. When they enter the system, they can clog pipes, damage sensitive components, or hinder the proper functioning of moving parts. This can lead to reduced performance, increased energy consumption, and even complete appliance failure.
By installing a magnetic strainer filter in the appliance's inlet or supply line, these damaging particles are effectively trapped and separated from the fluid before it reaches the appliance. This proactive approach helps maintain optimal performance, extends the lifespan of appliances, and saves you from costly repairs or replacements.
Versatility and Application
Magnetic strainer filters find applications in various household appliances, including washing machines, dishwashers, HVAC systems, water heaters, and irrigation systems. They are also widely used in industrial settings, such as manufacturing plants and oil refineries, where the presence of metal contaminants can cause severe damage to expensive equipment.
Easy Installation and Maintenance
Installing a magnetic strainer filter is a straightforward process. They are usually designed to fit in-line with existing plumbing connections, allowing for hassle-free integration into your appliance's system. Maintenance typically involves periodic cleaning or replacing the filter cartridge, depending on the level of contamination.
Environmental Benefits
Apart from protecting appliances, magnetic strainer filters contribute to environmental sustainability. By preventing damage and improving the longevity of appliances, these filters help reduce the overall waste generated from discarded and replaced units. Moreover, they minimize the need for chemical cleaning agents and reduce energy consumption by ensuring appliances operate at peak efficiency.
Tumblr media
Conclusion
In a world where appliances play a vital role in our daily lives, protecting them from potential damage is essential. Magnetic filters offer a reliable and cost-effective solution to safeguard appliances from harmful debris and contaminants. By incorporating these filters into your appliance systems, you can prolong their lifespan, reduce the risk of breakdowns, and save on repair or replacement costs. Moreover, by preventing appliance damage, magnetic strainer filters contribute to a greener and more sustainable environment. So, don't wait any longer—take the necessary steps to keep your appliances safe with magnetic strainer filters today.

AULD LANG SYNE

❅ ❅ ❅
How's one to know if love is everlasting?
Harry used to prioritize the notion with you, sealing the promise with a glistening diamond ring on your finger, because that's what love is, right? Marrying the one person you can't live without. He vowed to be eternally yours, making up for lost time with secret oaths of pleasure and intimate words that unfurled from his tongue like the petals of a rose.
Each garland of his ivy intertwined perfectly with yours, the spark of young love nurturing every vine that started to wilt from the first dusting of snowfall.
Yet that light soon eclipsed with a shadow of neglect.
The last glimpse of radiance Harry witnessed was one he took for granted. You were right there, shining just for him, but the moment burned out right beneath his fingertips.
He remembers getting lost in the cadence of your voice and the familiarity of your presence. Blue lights had danced over your figure as you stood on your tiptoes and turned the house into a winter wonderland, a certain glow to your skin that only he knew the cause of.
                              ❅ Time Gone By ❅
Harry stopped you from gracing around the room like an angel on ice skates by trapping you in a one-armed hug from behind, a champagne flute of vintage Dom Pérignon in his hand. Your delicate fingers reached up to hook a shiny ornament on one of the tree's upper branches, right where they started to narrow. It made him realize it had been far too long since he'd been home as he took in the evergreen standing tall and proud before him.
Cheek to cheek, Harry swayed your frame to the faint Christmas music playing in the background. He watched your every move, from how you resettled the ornament an inch over because you were a perfectionist to how you leaned back into his chest to get a better look at your work. He wanted to put you in his pocket like a plucked primrose and take you everywhere with him.
"How many more..." Your voice faded as your spirited eyes scanned the living room. You released yourself from his hold when you spotted the box of ornaments, much to his reluctance.
Harry sauntered over to the fireplace while taking a sip of his drink. After setting his glass down, he grabbed the fire poker and opened the chain mail curtain to shift the logs around. The flames instantly grew stronger, crackling louder as orange embers tried and failed to escape. They seemed to know there could only be one clinquant brilliance in the room.
Magnetizing admiration guided his gaze to you once again as he sat down and folded his legs on the carpet. Once he was comfortable, he grabbed the half-empty bottle of champagne on the hearth and poured more of the effervescent liquid into his glass. The roaring fire heated his back as he coated his tongue with refined notes of ripe fruit and vanilla. Moonlight gleamed through the window and reflected off the many decorations he had helped place in every crevice of the house. The sweet smell of sugar cookies straight out of the oven made his stomach rumble with delight.
Then there was you, the only thing he could truly focus on for longer than a minute.
With your hair pinned back with silver snowflake clips, it was like he was seeing you for the first time. A halting feeling of falling in love all over again nestled into his heart, and you didn't even have to say a single word.
"Why are you staring at me?"
Harry almost laughed at your question. How could he not stare at you? You were made for him.
Smirking over the rim of his glass, he said, "I have a complaint," then took a quick sip and stood.
You turned back to the tree, pensively looking it up and down. "Do you not approve of my decorating?"
"You're doing a wonderful job, baby." He emptied his hand and beckoned you toward him. "Come here. Take a break for a little bit."
You shyly shrugged your shoulder up to your cheek, his favorite habit of yours, and then made your way to him. You wrapped both arms around his waist, then rested your chin on his chest with raised eyebrows in silent questioning.
"My complaint," he said lowly while smoothing his thumb over your temple that had somehow collected glitter, "is that I can't see the bump when you wear sweaters."
The tightening of your hold warmed him up, along with the knitted material loosely draped over your upper half. "It's too cold to wear anything else," you replied, smiling knowingly.
Reaching around your waist, Harry bunched the material of your sweater behind your back and tugged on it until it tightened around the small, growing curve of your stomach. "There," he whispered satisfactorily, grinning and glancing up at you with a boyish glint in his eyes.
You just scoffed amusedly and swatted his hands away before unraveling yourself from him to continue hanging the last of the ornaments. Two glass spheres dusted with lines of gold glitter were still waiting to be put on the tree with your strategic placement. Blue twinkling lights still needed to be strung and weaved around the protruding branches. The tinsel garland, adorned with sparkling leaves and flowers, still needed to be embellished on the staircase's banister. Harry, however, thought all those things could wait. He wanted his wife's undivided attention.
One of the cardboard boxes contained mistletoe, so he searched through them while he hummed along to Eartha Kitt's rich, sensual voice. After noisily sifting through miscellaneous Christmas items, he finally found the artificial red berry attached to an even more artificial plant. While your back was turned, he plucked it out and quietly walked toward you, turning up the volume of "Santa Baby" with the remote on his way over.
"Hey," he said, tickling the nape of your neck with the mistletoe.
You squealed and damn near elbowed him in the stomach. "Stop! You're supposed to be helping me."
"We have all night to do this."
"There's only a few more hours until Christmas. We should have done this weeks ago."
Harry's warm hands traveled under your sweater and splayed over your first-trimester bump. It wasn't fully rounded out, yet it was still a bump, and he loved it dearly, even if a baby hadn't been meant to happen so soon. "We've been worried about other things, yeah?" he murmured secretively, even though no one was around to eavesdrop.
"Yeah," you replied.
"But just think... this time next year, we'll be spending Christmas together as a family of three."
"When are we going to tell people? I won't be able to hide it for much longer."
The anxiousness on your face worried him. He knew that sooner or later, the ravenous public would find out. It was only a matter of time before the vultures came circling, and his pledge of protection would again be at risk.
"Let's talk about it later," he dismissed, rubbing a circle around your belly before retreating his tender touch and spinning you around. Once you were facing him, he asked, "Can I have a kiss?"
"You're trying to distract me."
"Just one kiss. Pretty please."
You trailed your fingers down his arm. "Begging gets you nowhere."
He mockingly grumbled an echo of what you said and then bent down slightly to wrap a strong arm around your waist, effortlessly lifting you as you scrambled to hook your pajama-clad legs around him.
"I want to dance with you," he said, staring at your glowing cheeks. I beg of you."
"Put me down, then."
"What kind of dance do you fancy? Polka? Waltz? Ballroom tango?"
You laughed as Harry set you back on the floor. "Remember when you danced the polka with my grandma at our wedding?"
"I couldn't keep up with her!" he replied humorously, loving how your eyes reacted by sparkling. "Had me tripping over my feet and everything."
There was a beautiful mixture of yours and his laugh at the memory, and amid the mirth, Harry grabbed your right hand with his and held it against his chest while his other rested on the small of your back. It became a gentle sway to "Silver and Gold" with the occasional twirl and romantic dip, the two of you spinning around in a personal snow globe. He touched his forehead to yours, lazily smiling down at your lips, then nudged your nose with his before tilting his head to kiss you nice and slow. Lips that tasted like sugar melted into his, soft and addictive. His senses were heightened by the champagne he drank. His feet stopped moving as he got lost in the moment, entirely focused on how your kisses couldn't seem to catch up with his. The breathless sounds you released and the wet pops of your lips separating made him fall under your enchanting spell.
"Your phone," you mumbled through lazy kisses.
"Hmm?" Harry hummed distractedly, kissing you again before opening his eyes and licking his swollen lips.
"I think your phone is ringing," you said more clearly, pulling away.
He processed the default ringtone and sincerely hoped it was just his mother wishing him a Merry Christmas from across the pond. Sighing, he unlaced your fingers with his and gave the back of your hand a semi-comforting pat before walking over to his vibrating phone on the hearth. He had seen the disappointed look on your face; it pained him every time. Deep down, he knew who might really be calling him.
The assumption proved to be correct when he checked the screen. The familiar number was work-related. He answered the call with a guilty scratch behind his head and left you in the living room.
How easy it could have been to just ignore it, but second nature had a poisonous grasp around his heart.
❅ ❅ ❅
How's one to know when the first crack in the glass will shatter into a million fragments of love astray?
A capricious shift in your husband's demeanor created the first sign of rupture. Pixelated countenances of despondency and physical guises of weariness were little fissures that shaped a shard so minimal that you could have brushed it aside if not for the inescapable ache in your chest that mercilessly came around at nightfall like clockwork.
The withering love between you and him was a ticking time bomb made of glass left to be disarmed by whoever was audacious enough to get their hands near the lethal sparks.
Yet the fuse burned out quicker than expected.
That fateful detonation happened at midnight in the winter. Harry was the culprit, and he never realized it until his unspoken fear blew up in his face.
You remember it all too well. The stillness was so deafening in your empty home, barren winter seeping through the walls and icing over a bed of primroses to paralyze them from growing further.
                             ❅ Time Gone By ❅
A pathetic excuse of a Christmas tree in the corner was the only provider of light in the otherwise caliginous bedroom. Sitting in the opposite corner, you tucked your knees to your chest and let your husband's slurred greeting on the phone fill the lonesome silence. It was better than nothing, you supposed.
The first question you asked him was a straight nosedive toward the forthcoming bone crush. "Have you been drinking?"
Harry sniffed and replied, "Whiskey, yeah."
You shook off his lethargic tone and plastered on a smile. "Must be nice."
"Pour yourself a glass," he said, his voice sounding far away. You assumed you were on speakerphone. "It's the holidays, innit?"
"Can't. I need to pump later."
"Oh. That's right." A strange lull of silence passed. "How is she, by the way?"
Brass-knuckled fists squeezed your heart when you told him, "She misses you a lot."
It was an unequivocal lie. You weren't sure if she would even remember him when he eventually came home. In the year since her impromptu arrival, her own dad had been across the world more than he'd been at the house in Nashville.
"I'll be home at the end of January," Harry assured you. I just have a few more promo appearances that I need to make."
He didn't need to, did he? With a snap of his fingers and his gift of persuasion, it shouldn't have been that hard to fly back to his family when needed. You wondered if he heard himself, ignorant of the fact that his selfish words pierced you as a mother doing everything on her own. Surely, he felt guilty, but he was an expert at shrouding the parasite.
"Why can't you cancel everything and stay with us for the holidays?" you asked, letting out a muted laugh.
Through a phone call with no way to see your face, Harry didn't quite catch your attempt at being humorous. "You know the answer to that," he answered accusatorially.
"No, I really don't." The mercurial shift in moods with him was something you'd gotten used to. "Tomorrow is Christmas, and you're in Los Angeles. Not with your family. It doesn't make sense to me."
"Are we arguing right now?" he asked through a yawn. "I'm too tired to argue, love."
Patience wearing thin, you took a brutal dig at his buried flaws. "No, you're too drunk to understand how miserable this has been for me. God forbid that I want you home with our baby."
Harry scoffed and then dared to bitterly laugh. "Don't give me that petty shit, all right? You know my job, and you know my schedule. It's never changed."
"It should change now that you're a dad, don't you think?"
"Why do we always end up fighting when I call you? I've got better things I could be doing."
Cruel. Harry could be so casually cruel when drinking. On the last phone call, his tongue, as dangerous as a deadly weapon, had been laced with Hennessy and Coke.
"Our daughter's first Christmas, and you aren't here," you thought aloud while shaking your head slowly. The worst type of tears, ones stemming from frustration, prickled behind your eyes.
"You're being mean," Harry said quietly, every outside noise from his end being cut off except for his breathy voice, sounding like a gust of wind had taken it and carried it to you. His phone was now held up to his ear.
You stood your ground. "I think I'm being fair. I'm not asking much from you."
"Fuck's sake," he muttered before clearing his throat. "I can't do two things at once."
His words were a poison-soaked dagger to your flesh, cutting right to the bone and unleashing the blood of vulnerability and hurt from the man who had once vowed to never cause you such harm.
Being a husband and a dad—Harry, of all people, should have been able to balance those two responsibilities with no problem. Where was his sudden spitefulness coming from?
You let out a morose noise of disbelief and confessed, "I hate you sometimes."
Harry sighed. "I love you," he said with that goddamned soft voice of his, a blatant attempt to veer away from the issue at hand.
Your emotions finally broke through, the lump in your throat growing until it started to ache. Looking down at the silver wedding ring on your finger, you wondered if he put it there just to lock you in. Little did he know that you were about to go down an agonizing route to get the key.
"Right now," you said shakily, "it feels like you don't give a fuck about me or our daughter."
He groaned, and you could picture him running a heavy palm down his flushed face. "We were having an innocent conversation, honey. Why do you always get pissed at me?"
It was a blazing assumption in the dark, considering he was the one who started it. He had lit the fuse with a single spark, and now time was ticking.
Who would pass the bomb over to whom?
Whose tears would douse the flare?
Which one of you was capable, and which was a coward?
"I get pissed because I wonder why I ever married you," you admitted, trying not to choke on affliction. "I wonder why I ever had a child with you. Why do I stay with you when you treat our family like an afterthought?"
"You're making me out to be a monster," Harry said with a twinge of helplessness. "I love you, okay? I would die for you both."
"You barely see us, so I doubt that."
"Christ, why do you say things like that?"
Running your fingertips across the carpet to seek comfort, you replied, "It's how I feel, Harry. It's how I've felt for the past year."
"Then fuckin' leave since I make you so miserable!".
Tick.
The fragile bomb was in your hands.
Tick.
There were only seconds left to make a decision.
Tick.
You passed it over to him with a detonating question.
"Do you give me permission?"
A deathly silence.
"I'll leave," you continued, your ears ringing. "You don't seem to mind. I'll talk with a lawyer, and we can settle a divorce."
Boom.
Harry inhaled sharply through his nose. "Don't even think about doing that."
"You just told me to leave!" you shouted.
"No, hey." His breathing was becoming shallow, and his voice was desperate. "Hey, listen to me. I'll come home. Just give me another month, and I'll be there. I won't leave again. I promise you that."
This was different from what you had wanted. Married life with him was supposed to have been blissful. Parenthood was supposed to have been alongside him. The room spun around you as the clock ticked with each passing second. It wouldn't change anything. You might as well set it in stone and float it down the river.
"I don't believe you. I want a divorce."
"Baby, please. Look, can you video call me? Let me see you."
You screwed your face up and rested your pounding head against the wall. "I can't look at you right now."
"I'd like you to look at me when you say you want a divorce, yeah?" He was on fire from the explosion. "God, I'll get on a plane right now, okay? Please."
He was only willing to do what you asked when he needed to save himself. It was never for you.
"My decision is final," you told him. "I can't be in this one-sided relationship. All I need is for you to be a dad and a husband. Here, with us. Not thousands of miles away."
"I'll come home. Let me... shit, let me find my laptop, and I'll book a flight."
"Well, when you come home, your things will be packed by the front door."
"Stop," he whispered painfully.
"Just listen to me, Harry!" you yelled, finally losing your patience. Taking a deep breath, you lowered your voice and continued, "If you love me, you'll let me leave. It's what's best for us."
"You're my wife." Then, show some compassion. "Do you hear me?" Barely. "You can't just leave like this." Yes, you could. "I'll lose my mind."
Your mind was made up.
"I'm going to hang up, okay?"
"No, we're going to talk—"
"When I hang up, I need you to breathe," you interrupted gently. "I need you to stay where you are. I need you to not do anything stupid."
"You're drunk too, right?" Harry said. "We're both drunk, and we'll forget we had this conversation." You heard a mattress creak and then a slight stumbling of feet. "Let's go to bed, sweetheart. Tomorrow is Christmas. I'll call first thing in the morning."
"Okay. Bye, Harry." You knew you wouldn't answer.
"Did you get my gifts in the mail? I spoiled you two so much." You didn't like how his breathing had gotten faster. "Hey, can you give her a kiss goodnight for me? Please?"
"I will." It was the least you could do. "Goodbye, Harry."
"No, baby, stay on the phone. I love you."
You swallowed down the last shred of your dignity and pulled the phone away from your ear, telling him to breathe one last time before ending the call.
All at once, the four walls of your bedroom caved in on you, and the feeling of suffocation began. The ground ate you alive as you sunk down into a fetal position and cried out into the wool carpet until it burned your cheeks. You could blame the drink in Harry's hand all you wanted, but you knew his integrity had fallen short lately. He couldn't be what you needed, so why stay and suffer in a situation so futile?
A sharp wail suddenly pierced through the wall behind you. Moving your teary eyes to blearily gaze at the clock, you saw the big and little hands join at the Roman numeral twelve.
How terribly blue of a Christmas, yet the reasoning had been long overdue.
❅ ❅ ❅
How's one to know if the bone crush is worth it?
As Harry looks at you now, a newfound love coursing through his veins, he knows that it is. The fireplace warms you and your daughter, both wrapped in a blanket. You're letting her help you open your last present.
It's crystal clear that the scene in front of him is entirely what he fought for. A family to protect. The home he sits in. The love he spent so long missing.
He walked through hellfire summers to revive your love for him and trudged through icebound winters to ensure you never forgot about him. All to get to that spring garden of everlasting primroses, which never entirely died.
"What did your mom get?" Harry asks his daughter while powering his phone off.
She holds up a tiny jewelry box and looks back and forth between her parents. You take it from her and inspect it, then look up at Harry and give him an unreadable glance.
"Open it," he insists softly.
You slowly lift the top, revealing a gold ring that weaves into a flower-shaped diamond. A gasp gets caught in your throat as you take it out. "Harry..." you trail off.
This time, you say his name differently than when you found his wedding ring in his dressing room months ago. This time, you say it with a particular fondness that puts him together again.
"I thought maybe we could try gold this time," Harry explains, kissing your cheek. "See if that works."
He thinks of the silver ring you had put back on your finger after you both decided to try again. It reminded him of hurt more than he'd like it to, so he bought a ring with a different, more sentimental purpose.
"I think it'll work," you say with a genuine smile.
A Christmas long past left scars still unhealed, but each wound led him right where he belonged.

Okay so this Spells list isn't gonna be as extensive as the Winx's list primarily because I have less inspo but here are some
Fun fact, magic affects flying speed! With Stella the fairy of Sun and Moon Light being the fastest flier out of all the girlies in show, but she often doesn't fly that fast in fear of crashing leading to Musa the fairy of Harmonious Sounds to be the fastest in practical application, and Diaspro the fairy of Gemstones being the slowest
🪩 Diaspro Fairy of Gemstones 🪩
💍 Low-level Spells 💍
Gem Creation (🛡️) - The caster can create different types of gems, it's hardness determining how easy or hard it is to make gems
Gem Shot (🛡️⚔️) - The caster creates gems that will speed and attack a target, splintering upon contact
Shield of Gems (🛡️) - A small gem based circular shield
Amber Encasement (🛡️💫) - The caster creates liquid like sap that wraps around a target, hardening and encasing them in amber
↳ Amber Electrification (⚔️) - A high level add on to a low level spell, the caster creates statistic electricity with the amber shocking whatever is trapped inside
Quartz Time Keeper (💫) - Gives caster the ability to keep exact tract of time
Fairy Cross (🛡️💫) - The caster creates staurolite, which can absorb fairy magic particularly well, this makes channeling magic particularly easy. However transferring that magic is impossible without a witch and it will not absorb attack magic, only imbuing magic
💎 Mid-level Spells 💎
Gem Lancer (🛡️) - The caster creates lance like gem that fly at a target, they are much sturdier than gem shot
Agate Bands (🛡️💫) - The castor creates bands that will wrap around and constrict a target
Fool's Deception (🛡️) - The caster uses gem stones to imitate a particular object, will only work if said thing looks like gems in the first place
Phosphorescent Stones (💫🛡️) - The caster creates a gem that can naturally absorb light and later emit the light later
Gem Reflection (🛡️💫) - The caster creates a large gem facet looming shield that reflects attacks
Photonic Bands (🛡️⚔️) - The caster creates a gemstone capable of channeling sun light, and can use it to make colorful beams of light
Birefringence Light Beam (⚔️🛡️) - The caster creates a gem that channels sun light and shoots out two light beams
Tourmaline Magnet (💫🛡️) - The caster creates a tourmaline and can use it to make a weak magnetic pull
👑 High-level Spells 👑
Quartz Shock (⚔️🛡️) - The caster creates quartzes and then compresses it, creating electricity
Coral Grabber (💫🛡️) - The castor creates coral gems in the shape of coral animals that grab targets before hardening
Barrier of Diamond (🛡️) - A extremely powerful barrier that's hard as diamond
Diamond Sword and Shield (🛡️) - Creates a sword and shield out of diamond
Crystalization Barrier (🛡️) - The caster shoots out gemstones that immediately grow and encase the target upon hitting it
Absorption Shield (💫🛡️⚔️) - The caster creates a large jagged shield that is able to absorb certain types of magic thrown at it if it's the correct type of gem
Crystal Oscillator (💫) - The caster creates a quartz that interferes with radio waves
Power of Gems (💫🛡️⚔️) - Creates types of gemstones that are naturally able to absorb power from the nearby environment, much like a Witch's channeling spell. Once the Gemstone absorbs power from the environment it can be used for attacking, defending, and supporting
↳ Absorption Necklace (💫🛡️⚔️) - Essentially the same thing but the caster disguises it as a ordinary necklace
Crystal Cave (🛡️) - The caster creates a huge amount of gemstones, trapping targets inside a enclosure
I wanted to come up with a spell based on the Chinese Writing Stone but I couldn't come up with one. It would act as a messager stone table obviously but I'm unsure of the mechanics ://
Btw look up this stuff, quartz and amber can generate electricity, quartz are used in the construction of radios, it's so cool! Gems can do so much stuff!!!

the first knife
My piece for the Final Shapes Zine (@finalityzine) , which you can see in full here <3 // Read on Ao3
It was |supposed to be| a garden world.
All mythologies begin with a utopia. It is a universal condition, perhaps, the wanting to believe the world was, in its unblemished natural state, good—and an indication of the foolish hope it may yet in the end circle back to goodness. A dream of small minds, some would say. But you had never shared their sentiment.
Morality, of course, is subjective, and you’d known as much long before you stopped believing in your own self-created cosmology. No one outcome of a game is more noble or more wicked than any other unless you are one of the players. The propelling force of the universe is the desire to keep on existing—so perhaps, from a certain point of view, it is the drive to live which is the only moral good. Everything wants to exist, and the cessation of one life allows another to exist and thrive; life and death and life and death and life and death, locked in a dance than never ends. But for you it had never been a matter of morality; not in any critical manner, anyway. It was simple and entirely neutral, majestic in its plainness, a sharp needle-point of a compass piercing a way through the mayhem and cruelty you witnessed around you. A universal explanation for a chaotic universe. If there had ever been a tenet you could say you truly admired, it would have been this.
It was supposed to be a garden world, and a garden is no less good or evil whether it is wilted or thriving. Growth without withering is cancerous, festering and crawling out like rats to infect the outside, until it stops being a garden, until it does not resemble anything more than a putrid mass of not-even-life trapped in perpetual limbo.
It was with this thought that you set out on your celestial crusade, back when you still believed the universe had been destined for goodness. You wouldn’t have admitted it—and you certainly wouldn’t admit it now, if you still cared to self-reflect on this—but the fearful anger that would go on to guide your hand had been there already, by then; deep down, eating at your core.
You harboured no ill will toward her. That was what you told yourself.
In truth, the anger was already burning within you, and the fear festered just underneath. Words bubbling on your lips which she offered no response to, accusations you’d hurl at her silent face staring down at you with infinite patience. Her gaze, full of nothing but unalloyed hope, jeering at your questions that would bump off of her surface with a mocking echo, only stoking the fire at your core.
You had grown resentful of her silence. For once, just once, you wanted to make her talk.
You only strived to make things better. You had your great ideals and your beliefs and tenets, your centuries of reasoning and volumes of scientific proof. You wanted to bring back the harmony: to preserve the natural goodness of the world, to tend to the garden. You were noble, and right, and the fate of the universe rested on your shoulders. And you thought you were prepared.
You found it at the edges of the cosmos—a sisterly shape, a vault of answers you had been crying out through the dark after, a perfectly-balanced weight. You brought it home (because you still had a home back then, that deplorable bolthole of spears and walls, do you remember?) and all that time it sang to you, in its strange, resonant voice so unlike the hum of Light you had known. You aligned it, and it snapped into place as if pulled by the magnetism of an opposite charge—and nothing stayed your hand, not a single whisper of doubt slipping past your carefully constructed rationale. You created the link.
The scream that she let out, it threatened to turn your brains into liquid.
In the years to come, you’d rarely concern yourself with that moment. It was what came after that mattered. But at that point of contact, in those few fickle seconds, you had her laid bare like an exposed nerve, screaming blinding-white, cutting through to your core. The closest she had ever been.
In that moment, you met her there.
She was all fear and pain, sharp with a bitter undercurrent of sorrow|betrayal. For once, there was genuine emotion, something you could relate to, something mirroring your own fear. She had not expected that. It felt like victory, then, like pushing a knife into the soft underbelly of a thick-shelled creature, and you told yourself it was necessary.
You saw her eyes, sad and scared. They seemed to be saying, I loved—
The link snapped like an old mooring rope, sending you reeling. Before you could gather your bearings, she ran, a white shape disappearing among nebulas.
The Veil was still there, singing softly just under the lid of your many consciousnesses. You stood, many faces upturned to the sky and many hands flexing in shocked horror, a roar that held no meaning pushing its way past many lips. The weight of absence slowly settled, and with it your rage, stoked by the change of pressure.
In the ages to come, you would go on to learn the inherent power of emotions, these strings of the soul, and the finesse art of playing them. You would go on to learn many things, and the foundations of your philosophy would suffer many a change as you slithered across the universe on your righteous crusade. You would commit acts beautiful and monstrous, and they would each fall at your feet like pruned weeds all the same, because a garden is no less good or evil whether it is wilted or thriving. For now, this was only your first metamorphosis—the first trimming of branches.
The Veil hummed. The sky yawned empty.
You reached for a knife, and discovered you were already holding one.
