1500-1599 Recap Part 60:
Adam and Karina’s youngest, Audrey was born and I was beginning to think that maybe the Ember family name was going to end when their daughters married since Adam only rolled to have four children and Audrey made four. Then I remembered Stephen’s sister and her two sons and figured that it would persist for at least the next generation maybe.
Ambrose and Ann showed their age and their twins became teenagers.
Isabel’s only child, Stephen, became a child.
Elizabeth had a son who died as an infant. Then Margaret had her son, John, and Blanche had her daughter, Agnes.
Audrey became a toddler.

1500-1599 Recap Part 54:
Adam and Karina married.
Rose’s triplets aged up as did Ambrose’s twins. William definitely seemed to be the best blend of his parents genetics at this point and Margery seemed to be an Ann clone though it was early to tell, Spoiler she was.
Isabel and Tatsuya married.
Cecily became a child and was recognized as the future head of her household.
Adam’s first child Joan was born.

Year 1574 Part 2:
Ambrose and Ann began to show signs of their age as their twins celebrated their thirteenth birthday. It was clear that they favored their mother in terms of looks. Though while his eldest showed little interest or promise in medicine, Ambrose was glad to see his other son was clever and had a joy for learning.
Parnell was determined to focus as much on her studies as she could to avoid thinking about her ailing mother or the new baby that would be loud in the home soon.
It didn’t take much waiting though since Margaret went into labor not far into the year. Given the lack of news from Tartosa, Margaret didn’t see an issue in naming her son John. It wasn’t until later that she discovered that Elizabeth had named her son the same. Still they lived miles apart and even if her nephew had survived, the children likely would have never met so there would be no confusion between them.

Year 1565 Part 1:
Samara was once again expecting from her line of work though now the house was in much better condition, she was able to relax a bit more knowing all of her children had a place to sleep on their own. No one had to share beds or sleep on the couch anymore. But even better, one of the few people in town who still acknowledged her existence was now spending more and more time with her since Rebecca no longer had to walk down the hill to even consider visiting her cousins and her friend. Ever since Samara had fallen pregnant, most folk avoided her for being unwed but Rebecca was glad to talk to someone and get advice on motherhood. With Samara’s sisters married and living out of town, she felt that she found a sisterhood with her daughter’s cousin.
In Glimmerbrook, Ann was once again with child and while the other children were happy with each other they were not looking forward to another sibling. That said, when Sarah was born, Ann and Ambrose decided that they were done with children and decided to both consume a potion from Talia’s tome that would prevent conception until they took a second potion to reverse it, if they ever chose to have more than the five children they had.

1500-1599 Recap Part 51:
The younger children became toddlers, Catherine died then the plague hit.
Not that many of the family was hit in this plague and this plague had a lot more deaths overall in the save. I was actually surprised by how many of the family members lived. But yeah plenty died including Solomon which cemented that the heir of the legacy was going to be an heiress. I mentioned in one of my Extras that Adrian’s daughters mostly took after him as children so it was hard to choose an heir out of his spellcaster daughters.

1500-1599 Recap Part 49:
Adrian’s surviving son, Solomon, was born. He died in the Plague though. He didn’t actually survive his toddler roll though if I recall correctly so I just worked that in there.
Birthdays for the kids.
Cecily was born and in the background of the picture of her as a baby is her sister, Tomi’s other daughter, who happens to be the mother of Rachel Ashtor’s husband and Barnaby Jaleel’s wife. The family is so sprawling it’s hard to find spouses without some kind of relation. **cough cough** MCCC marrying off second and third cousins **cough cough**.
Ambrose’s twins were born after his second born passed.

Year 1579 Part 1:
In Glimmerbrook, William and Margery turned 18 and with that William married Karina’s cousin Patricia as was arranged by their families.
Wilmot then approached Parnell with an offer. Faiz was getting old as a merchant and Wilmot was planning on taking over the business from him ideally when the kids were a bit bigger but she would need help and she wanted it from Parnell. Parnell was honored for the offer and said that she would do what she could to make money but she still wasn’t sure that Tartosa was a place she could truly call home. When Wilmot said that’s why she wanted Parnell she was confused, Wilmot wanted to establish clear trading between countries through her business rather than mostly wandering about to see who wants to buy. Essentially she wanted help establishing herself in Tartosa since the kids were still little and she wanted Parnell to open her own place wherever she chose to settle so that they could both profit. Parnell decided that the offer was far too good to refuse.

Year 1578 Part 3:
TW/CW: Death Mention
The loss of Thomas hit the entire family hard. Ambrose’s youngest though felt disappointed that her grandfather wasn’t around to see her thirteenth birthday even if they hadn’t actually met in person.  Anthony felt similarly when he turned thirteen though unfortunately a few weeks after his birthday, his father died leaving his mother a widow.
Larissa was hit with the realization that now that Thomas was gone she was the last one of her siblings left. It was normal to lose parents and it was unfortunate that eventually a sibling would be the last left behind but, it actually struck her that she was going to outlive all of her brothers children and grandchildren, she would one day be entirely alone grieving people that future family would have decades apart to even meet. Still, she wanted to help her brother’s family as much as she could while they all shared their grief but with her brother’s loss she felt the urge to travel again.
Thomasin felt the opposite. The loss made her want to stay put instead of setting off on adventure. She still wanted to travel but she decided that she would wait for her sisters to grow up so they could go together. For the time being, tales from merchants or travelers passing through would tide her over. Adrian didn’t mind having his daughter choose to stay home longer, in fact, he loved that she wanted to.
Parnell and Philippa spent more time together than before since Thomasin kept mostly to herself to cry as she grieved. The younger girls took comfort in each other.

Year 1567 Part 1:
Things in Glimmerbrook went well as Ambrose and Ann’s twins turned six to their parent’s delight.
While the search for new spellcasters proved fruitful when a young man named Tatsuya joined their community and the attachment was further strengthened by his marriage to Isabel. The couple shared little love but as time passed they had developed a friendship.

Year 1566 Part 1:
Sarah celebrated her first birthday and joined the ranks of Silversweater children running about Glimmerbrook to both the delight and exhaustion of her parents. Her older siblings had come around to their little sister which was a relief. Soon after Sarah’s birthday, Blanche celebrated her thirteenth birthday.
In Henford, Rebecca’s children also had their birthday in the early part of the year. Avis often followed after her father while Wren was a fussy child. Anthony was a sweet baby who liked to try and comfort his sister when he could.

Year 1562 Part 1:
Once again, Adrian had left more of himself with Samara before he left for Tartosa. With Margaret being older, it gave her more relief to not have to chase down after two very young kids while pregnant and the she could help her as well as a young girl could anyways.
Ambrose and Ann were happy to see their twins grow into adorable little toddlers as they had their first birthday.
Adrian was adjusting to being a father of two well. He had always loved his daughters and now he was glad to support his eldest and his son. Everyday was full of joy and laughter at his home.

Year 1561 Part 2:
While Adrian was away Tomi delivered a little girl she named Cecily. Much like Layla, Tomi was not pleased to have a new baby since she already had three older children. More to the point, her oldest was nearly marrying age and now there was a new sibling. Though all of Tomi’s children were delighted to be older siblings even if their mother didn’t think she’d be a mother again at her age.
In Glimmerbrook, Ann delivered twins Margery and William who were thankfully healthy.
Layla was relieved that Solomon had his first birthday and was healthy. Her feelings toward the boy hadn’t improved but she wasn’t so cold that she wished the child ill. Still she couldn’t bring herself to feel anything more than resentment towards the boy.
Julian also discovered that she was with child. Though she was upset with the pregnancy for the opposite reason as Tomi. She already had a young daughter and she worried about having a second child so close in age though she did think her daughter would benefit from having a sibling to play with.

1500-1599 Recap Part 74:
Adrian started getting more noticeable wrinkles.
Parnell Jernigan became a toddler.
Audrey became a teenager and I feel both of Adam’s daughters look quite a bit like their mother.
Arthur became a toddler as did Elric and Melrose while Amy became a child.
Unfortunately Anne had passed away from the famine but before Margery passed of famine herself, she and her husband had a son named Cuthbert.
Cecily gave birth to her daughter Matilda.

1500-1599 Recap Part 69:
Amy became a toddler and Maria’s husband died.
Adrian and Barnaby became children and both seemed like decent blends of their parents in terms of genetics.
Rachel also looked like a blend of her parents when she aged up.
Loads of babies for the year as Maria had her twins, Janet had her son Matthew, Margery had her daughter,  and Thomasin’s first child was born.

Extras:
So I decided to put a little note on how I choose my heirs. I have a few criteria of who I’ll choose to follow for the next generation. The traditional rules would be oldest son but I will not always follow that. I want the Carlisle name to continue the full duration of the challenge so I will be following the guys for the most part (but not always) since they tend to pass on the Carlisle name, I also like the fact the family is made up of spellcasters so the heir will always be a spellcaster even if they don’t like or use their magic very much and I will go for most unique genetics/well mixed genetics with either one getting priority.
Like Thomas became the heir because he was the only Carlisle boy of that generation and he just happened to be a spellcaster.
The third generation heir most of Thomas’ six surviving children were guys so that requirement was taken care of pretty quickly. Anthony and Andrew weren’t spellcasters but even if they were they look way too much like Thomas so they weren’t even considered for heir tbh. Agnes was going to marry out of the Carlisle name so unfortunately not her. Arthur isn’t a spellcaster but if he was I was considering double heirs with him and Adrian. Adrian looks the least like Thomas and is a spellcaster. Ambrose also a contender for heir but Adrian’s constant flirting made me think he’d be all about drama and travel, It’s pretty fun to go along with his antics and have him get chased out of town because he keeps being the cause of scandals. I have no clue who the third generation heir is going to be yet since Adrian still has a few more partners to go for his aspiration, and obviously hasn’t been hot gossip in Tartosa yet but technically there are three heir potentials so far though. Then there’s the plague in 1563 which is upcoming which is bound to have interesting results. I haven’t rolled anything for that yet since there will be more births and deaths around town before then anyways. I’ll just roll when it hits.
I’m starting to run out of names to have unique tags for the Carlisle sims so I’m glad for the name changes from marriage since I can reuse the same names for different unique tags for each sim. Just as a little spoiler: The baby rolls for the next generation which I roll when I know who’s going to survive to adulthood and I do those rolls well in advance, are looking evil though.

1500-1599 Recap Part 79:
Arthur became a child.
Philip and Satoshi became toddlers and Joyce became a teenager.
Frideswide became a toddler and now that the toddlers don’t look the same it is interesting to see the genetics of the cousins at play.
Cuthbert and Matilda became children. Amy became a teenager.
The Carlisles (and Carlisle descended) who died in the plague are: Wilmot Jaleel, Julian Laurent, John Ashtor, Bartholomew Ashtor, Gregory Blair, Glen Blair, Josian Blair (Carlisle), Nathaniel Watson, Asher Martin, Clemence Moyer, Christine Silversweater, Oliver’s son who I can never remember the name of, Jarod Upton, James Upton, Jordon Volkov, Bethany Volkov, Blair Volkov (Mayne), Guy Jernigan, Jase Vatore, Pedro Dalton, Johnathan Martin, Angelo Landgraab, Ronan Bell, John Moyer, Charity Moyer, David Ember, Laurent Ember(Margery’s husband), Giovanna Ember, Julianna Ember, Sophie Pancakes, Chanel Cahill, Deshawn Cahill, Thomas Cahill (Thomas Silversweater’s unseen son), Marielle Landgraab, Mack Landgraab (Marielle’s husband), Lilly Chopra, Athena Chopra (Stephen Tanaka’s daughter), Roxanna Patel (Dane’s illegitmate daughter), Randall Pancakes (Ruth’s son), Elisha Charm, Millicent Landgraab (Mayne), Dan Jernigan, Ellen Soto, Aleah Faba, Josef Oliver, Elaina Iona, Mackenzie Iona, and more that I probably accidentally skipped over from my notes.
As you can see, I was quite busy.
