Egill Jacobsen (Dec. 16, 1910 - 1998) was a Danish painter known for his repetitive use of masks in his art. He was a neo-primitivist and a wild expressionist/colorist. Over time he was associated with CoBrA, the Corner group and the Fall Exhibition in Copenhagen (Høstudstillingen).

HAPPY WORLD PINHOLE DAY!

Though we can’t show you our new films at the Fieldhouse right now, we can give you some insights and stills showing what we have been working on.

For her new film, Amanda Thomson spaced 4 pinholes according to 16mm film sprockets and attached them to a super 8 cartridge. The super 8 was hand cranked to expose the roll, processed at the field house, then bi-packed with 16mm print stock and contact-printed in her Bolex. She shot mostly Kodak Tri-X (black and white film stock) with a bit of 7213 (colour negative) and printed to 7363 (black and white high contrast titling stock) and Kodak 3383 (colour release print stock). This is eye popping stuff.

Alex MacKenzie constructed a 59-frame pinhole camera out of a large 35mm film can which was then loaded with a loop of very low ISO raw 35mm film stock (fine grain Kodak 5234 panchromatic black and white), exposed for between 30 and 60 seconds all-at-once to create an outward looking panorama. Some of the loops were shot upright, and some horizontally, then all processed by hand at the Fieldhouse. Frenetic!

My older son was exposed this past Friday to someone that tested positive. Fuck. We all got tested on Sunday and are waiting for our results. So far...no symptoms. Thankfully the kids all wear masks and there was a plexiglass shield between the kids in the classroom. So the nurse said we most likely will test negative, but it's better to just make sure.

There's a push from parents to get their kids back in school and for life to get back to normal, but Covid doesn't fucking care. My younger son has been invited to multiple sleepovers and I'm the bad guy for saying no. There are variants and younger people (10 to 19 years old) are the fastest growing group to get sick.

I'm tired of the selfishness of people. The Ex sent my younger son to a sleepover. He doesn't actually enjoy his parenting time looks for ways to get rid of my kid short of giving up custody. Giving up custody would mean that I could be free, but the Asshole needs to keep me trapped for as long as possible.

My older son and I are scheduled for our first vaccine this Friday. I'll feel better once we are fully vaccinated.
