🇵🇱 Taka sobie abstrakcja naszej 3,5-latki 😋 Można odetchnąć z ulgą, bo kiedyś był szał na plastelinę ale tata regularnie wyrzucał 🙄 (brudziła ściany itp.) Potem spory czas bez i jak dostała znowu Maja nic a nic z niej nie robiła tylko przekładała z miejsca na miejsce. To było bardzo dziwne. Ostatnio sama mówi, że chce malować plasteliną. Dostała kawałek papieru i ...dziecka nie ma. A potem odpytywala mamę z ilości np. niebieskich kawałków i było dodawanie zbiorami 😁 🇬🇧 An abstract work of art by our 3,5-year-old 😋 Eventually she started doing something with plasticine. What a relief! In the past she was really into it but dad threw it away every time I bought it 🙄 (she made walls dirty etc.) Then, there was a long period without it. When she got it again she just carefully put colours in different places and back. It was really strange. Two days ago she said she wanted to paint with plasticine. She got a piece of papier and she created what you can see. Then, she asked lots of math questions e.g. How many blue pieces are there? We did some addition. 3D Shapes

Munchkin is getting better at her pet shop so much so that she can do it in under 20 minutes if she has 6 customers (max number) that day.  Because of that we can explore other math concepts.  Today we worked on 3d shapes and some critical thinking.  I got the plastic shapes at a used homeschool book sale.  Sorry I don’t know the brand or where to find them.  The cardboard cut outs I got at the dollar tree one day a long time ago.  I’m sure they have them occasionally in the school section.  Or you can print off the shapes online.  I set up the activity like this: (note the colors don’t match up)

We did the cone together.  After that...she was left to think.  (As usual I was available for assistance if needed.)  I love being a fly on the wall.  There were times she cheered for herself on difficult shapes.  Once she completed her task she called me over.  I then gave her a camera to take pictures of her awesomeness.  These are the pictures she took:

🇵🇱 Na co dzień bez pszenicy ale czasem sobie odpuszczamy zwłaszcza na wyjazdach. Po wizycie w szpitalu wizyta w restauracji. Tym razem pierogi wiązały się z przebłyskiem matematycznym naszej 3,5-latki. Policzyła ile ma 1,2,3,4. Zapytała ile ja mam. Usłyszała 6 bez liczenia i od razu bez liczenia skomentowała że w sumie mamy 10 🥰 🇬🇧 In our daily diet we generally avoid wheat products but when not at home we indulge ourselves to a portion of dumplings. First a visit in hospital, then at the restaurant. This time dumplings triggered off Maja' s math skills. Our 3,5-year-old girl counted 1,2,3,4 on her plate. Then she asked about mine and heard 6 (no counting here). Mathtime with my scholars, Dylan is the youngest, he isn’t ready to add yet, but he can learn about the number 8. He thought it was too hard but I told him to try anyway. He ended up finishing the whole paper 😍

I don’t allow phones or electronic devices during work time, but they already know that so they just pile up their phones when we arrive. I’m gonna miss them sooo much.

This is just a question, not a confession. How big do you think Giants are? (Not Humans, Giants, like The BFG characters.) I'm asking because I always see big differences (20 feet-50 ft-70 ft-90 ft) so how big is an "Average" Giant? (As a Tiny I vote: Way too big.)

I suppose it varies from giant to giant? I know that giants up to 20 ft. are generally classified as ‘mini-giants’, and anything planet sized or so is giga, but that’s a whole lotta wiggle room in between

On some old g/t circles I used to be in (mostly DA groups or obscure forums) everyone generally loved the 1/12 scale, meaning that the human was 1/12th a size of the giant. Putting the average human at 6 feet or less and the giant 12 times taller, basically 72-ish feet. That would make the human about 6 inches comparatively. Some people (me) preferred the 1/24 scale, which is 144 feet tall giants. An average human would seem about 3 inches compared to the giant

Most tinies I see tend to prefer sizes of 3-6 inches in comparison to their bigger counterparts, so if we up that to average human height, and scale up the giants, average height would be anywhere from 72 feet to 150
