Time for my October books! The month started out great but then I had to slow down because I wanted to draw my calendar and am absolutely unable to only spend half the day doing a thing I like. It's either all or nothing. So I purposefully chose books I expected to be "ok" instead of "omg I need to read more like right now and never stop". It worked. uAub

Aces Wild: A Heist (Amanda DeWitt): First book of the month and easily one of my favourites this year! It was so much fun. So much fun! The plot was good, Jack is a great narrator, the other characters are good as well. And the ace reprentation? Loved it. It’s there without taking over the story which is the way I like it best. There’s also a tiny bit of romance (again without taking over the story) and it’s the cutest. But to be honest, I was hooked from the author’s note in the beginning already: “This is not a love story” OK, sign me up!! 8D

A Taste of Gold and Iron (Alexandra Rowland): Decisions had to be made. I'm usually all in for illustrated covers, but ... not this time. 8D I chose the ornamented version and the first time I openend the book I broke out laughing. Is the illustrated cover version like this, too? Because the ornamented one has pink endpapers. It looks so serious on the outside and then inside is nothing but PINK. Blinding pink. It's glorious. It also inevitably reminded me of the last time I saw this much pink in one place: I work at a printhouse and we make a lot of wedding invitations. Some time ago I processed one that was all pink, inside and outside, everywhere and ... it was for a gay wedding. Inbetween its serious story the book was surprisingly funny, too. I'm so glad that a certain character did not die because in other books his type would be the one to. Even funnier the author herself wanted to end him in earlier drafts but her friends stopped her! Thank god they did! I had a great time reading this. It also made me want to reread Captive Prince because I crave this kind of fantasy.

The 99 Boyfriends of Micah Summers (Adam Sass): Right after I decided to reign in my reading in favor of drawing time this came in from the library. Perfect! It was pretty okay. Cute, easy, very predictable. Very. I told my friend pretty early on what I expected to happen with breakups and jealousy and drama and who's endgame etc. aaaand except that one character not turning out as evil as I thought I was spot-on. 8D It has some "rich (white) kids with nothing else to do but obsessing over love" vibes but it kinda knew and dealt with that. So all in all, I liked reading it but I had no problem putting it down to get to working.

Camp (L.C. Rosen): Chosen for the same reasons as Micah. I even read it in German for easy comfort (and because "support your local market"). I really liked the translation! Other contemporaries I read in German (like Loveless or Red, White & Royal Blue) often felt a bit awkward trying to emulate colloquial language (present tense is not a friend of German literature I think 8D), but the translator here did a really good job. I liked Camp a tad more than Micah, probably because the characters were more interesting. It also had more things to say.

City of Ghosts: Bridge of Souls (VE Schwab): The final volume of the series. It was alright. I'm glad it ended the way it did but I would have been ok with more drama. Are there still books out there who take the hard route? Remember the ending of His Dark Materials? (obviously spoilers) Lyra and Will? Separated forever? My heartbreak? I remember. I'll always remember! I like my happy endings and all but I'm pretty sure the reason why I'm so attached to Will and Lyra is because they never got one. 8D Anyway.

Empress of Salt and Fortune (Nghi Vo): I listened to the audiobook while drawing. The 2,5 hours seemed like something I can handle (I'm bad with long audiobooks) and I can't listen to creepypastas all day. It's not told in the usual story format which made it a bit harder for me to be invested but it was interesting enough. I'll probably listen to the sequel as well at some point.

That's it! All in all I'm satisfied with what I got. All the books were decent to topnotch, my calendar turned out well and November is going great at the moment. Look forward to next month, there will be foxes and tea. uAu

Podcast Adventure le film II et l'arc 1 : Teenage Years VO VS VA

Si le film marche, on aurais la possibilité de faire une suite de la fanfiction, ainsi que le premier arc de Podcast Adventure.

Le deuxième film se déroule après l'arc 1 donc en printemps 2014. Comme dans les Simpson, Bob l'éponge ou Pokémon, les âges reste les même. Il se déroule la moitie de la saison 3 d'Amphibia, la saison deux de Luz à Osville et entre la saison 1 et deux de Dead End : le parc des paranormal.

Durant l'arc 1, il se déroule après le premier film et les spin-off. Le premier épisode se déroule après l'Ecosse, tandis que l'épisode 2 et 6 se déroule avant le premier film et comme je l'ai dit : il se déroule à New-York et à Royal Wood

In the Kiwiki the Jedi are divided into four class groups rather than three:

Guardians are the Warrior Class, they are made up of Jedi who prefers to be out on battlefields or hone their fighting skills in the more traditional way. Jedi Aces or the Ace Pilots of the Jedi are also in this group. It is not to say that they are warmongers, however, they just prefer to be out with their feet on the ground and hands in the nitty gritty, so to speak. Think along the lines of Anakin Skywalker, Agen Kolar, or Ahsoka Tano— but also Saesee Tiin

Consulars are the Political Class, so to speak. Where Guardians fight, the Consulars take time to find negotiations, they are the political liaisons and diplomats, along with seers and researchers. They understand how politics work and use it to their advantage. On top of that, the Healers also fall into this division with Lore-Keepers and archivists. Obi-Wan Kenobi, Kit Fisto, Eeth Koth, and Jocasta Nu are the ones you think of, but also Vokara Che, and Adi Gallia.

Sentinels are the rather unorthodox division, and while they are often seen as the balance between the Guardians and Consulars, they are much more than that. Divisions such as The Shadows, Instructors, Watchmen, Seekers, Culinary Jedi, Investigators, and artisans fall into this group. They are both distinctive yet blend into the other classes and don't stick strictly to the traditions of the Order. This division has more acceptance of non-force techniques and non-traditional jedi skills. Think Quinlan Vos, Tholme, Terra Sinube, Micah Giett, and even Plo Koon.

The Guard is solely made up of the Jedi Temple Guard and their Sibling branches (such as the Guard at Lola Sayu or at other Temples, though these branches grew more or less dilapidated and returned to the main body as the Order drew itself closer into Coruscant). The Peace Keepers and Gate Keepers are also associated with this class, but it should be known that they are technically Sentinels.

Think of the four classes as such: In the case of a locked door, the Guardian will try and break it down, the Consular will try and negotiate with the person who locked the door, the sentinels will pick the lock, and the Guard is on the other side holding the door closed (lol)

Within these Class Categories, there are other Divisions/jobs that the Jedi can do. I sort of stated it before when listing examples, such as the Ace Starfighter Pilots, the Healers, and Investigators.

(More below but this is getting a bit long lol)

Within each of these divisions are smaller departments that are created based on specialty— for example, the various artisan groups, research groups, combat vs academic instructors, the various classes of healers, archivists who are more into research and logging vs those who prefer writing and creating, and so on.

Each department has a department Head, and then each division has a head picked from these department heads. In the Kiwiki, Cin Drallig heads both the Instructors and Jedi Temple Guard, but Anoon Bondara (before his death) was the Department head for the Combat Instructors. Similarly, Coleman Kcaj is both the Division head of the Artisans and the Department Head of the textile workers, Jocasta Nu heads the Archive Division and the Lore-keeping department, and Vokara Che is head of the Halls of Healing and the General Department of Healers, but OCs of mine— Altha, Nix Mora, and Bruce Rion— head the Mind Healer, Pediatrician, and Surgical departments. And so on and so forth.

(I'll talk about the Guard in a second)

Unfortunately, after the High Republic Era ended (roughly 82 BBY), the various Divisions began to fall to the wayside. On a traditional level, the Jedi Initiates were still offered many choices to choose from and Jedi Masters and Knights in those divisions would gladly train the initates who were interested in joining their divisions, but the equal power that Division heads had in decision-making slowly wained.

For example, the Councils would often make decisions and the Divisions would only learn of them after instead of being there in person. While the Division heads did not expect to be there for every bit of news and meeting, major events and news to be broken had the input of Division Heads in the past.

When the War ends in 18 BBY (Kiwiki'Verse), many of the Division Heads start putting pressure on the Councils for things to return to the pre-end of the high republic balance— this certainly did happen, especially with the reconstruction of the High Council as well.

In terms of the Jedi Temple Guard, there is a bit of a divide as the Jedi Temple Guard are the only Division to not accept Padawans into their ranks. You are either Knighted upon entering the Guard or have been Knighted previously. This is because the training within the Guard's ranks is rather brutal and Children are seen as too young to deal with that. Both mentally and physically.

The Guard also has its own structure and departments: General Guard, Night Guard, Lower Level Patrol, Political Guard, Healers, Ventilation Patrol, Sniper Corp, Trainers, and the Investigations

The General Guard is where you fall if you don't think you can fit into any of the other groups

the Night Guard primarily works for the Nocturnal Shift

The Lower Level Patrol deals with the lowest levels of the Jedi Temple

The Political Guard mostly goes with other Jedi to the Senate or acts as Jedi Escorts with Political Liaisons. They also transfer dangerous criminals— think when the guard brought Barriss in

The ventilations patrol patrols the vent systems in the temple. They were either all on strike because they don't get paid or cad bane killed the patrol during the holocron heist. one of the two.

The Sniper Corp is the least known branch of the Guard and are stationed along the top of the temple in hidden places. They keep watch for threats from the outside and act as cover and ranged fighters if the Temple is attacked externally (ie: operation Knightfall)

Trainers are some of the oldest and who train the newer guard in how the guard functions and works.

Investigators keep tabs on holo-cams and act as shadow informants between the main temple and the shadows.

All of the Guard within the division branches will jump around as needed and all are assigned to general patrols, front guard, and so on. It's like a miniature version of the main Order.

Anyways, There's a lot more that is just drifting in my brain, but that's the main gist of it.

TLDR: There are Classes -> Divisions -> Departments (based on Speciality) but there's definitely overlap and sticking with just one department, division, or even Class is not required— it's actually highly encouraged to learn under a number of departments at least. If you can crossover through Divisions and even Classes, all the better!

and here are some of the things i liked less but am overall fine with bc the season was amazing either way:

flutterina wasn’t considered as a possible traitor even though bad stuff happened immediately following her joining the rebellion

best friend squad was sad and didn’t have as many positive interactions

the scene where glimmer says adora is the reason for her mom being dead :’(((

the irritability glimmer and adora showed the whole season + taking it out on each other

very little screen time for entrapta

very little spinnetossa screen time

catra getting mad at scorpia for everything and then getting upset when she leaves

double trouble never explicitly said they were non-binary :(

glimmer not knowing her dad is alive

Chapitre 2 : Personnage, Satan et Cigarette

A votre naissance, vous étiez comme toutes les espers... Mais au fur et à mesure de votre vie, alors que vous découvriez comme tous les enfants puis adolescents, vos pouvoirs, vous avez fini par vous approchez des sciences occultes, mais aussi à celles de la lumière. Cela vous conduisie à entrer au service du Vatican, ce qui fait de vous une prêtresse. Voeux de chasteté? Et puis quoi encore ? Vous êtes une soldate, combattant à la fois les anges, les démons, les métahumains ou encore les Espers. L'armée la plus puissante du monde, à ce qu'on racconte.

Française, vous avez grandit dans la ville balnéaire de Nibelhiem, où se situait deux portes particulière, l'une portant vers le Paradis, et l'autre vers les Enfers. Certaines rumeurs racontaient aussi une entrée vers le Purgatoire, mais personne n'en était revenu. 

Pour vous décrire, on pourrait faire un sondage, mais soyons clair, on n'y serais encore dans 100 ans, et j'aime souffrir, donc ça sera dans le prochain vote. On va peut être, éventuellement, avancer le scénario, vous ne croyez pas ? 

 Bref. 

 Un jour, vous avez décidé, sans aucune raison particulière, simplement par curiosité, bien que les rouages du destins soient capricieuses par moment, d’invoquer le plus puissant - à ce qu’on raconte - des démons. Et le pire, c’est que vous avez réussi, en fait.

Le pentacle, pendant la moitié de tuto de création de personnage, s’était mis à s’illuminer d’une lueur violette (?) et une figure, d’abord flou, finit par apparaître. Votre sensibilité à la magie vous occasionne quelque nausée, et vous sentez une puissance incommensurable dans la pièce.  Satan était apparu.

Mais à quoi ressemblait-il me direz vous ? Et ben, c’était un mec plutôt grand, d’un peu plus de 2 mètres, avec des longs cheveux noirs, attachés en une queue de cheval, bien que des mèches encadraient son visage, empêchant de voir ses oreilles. Ses yeux étaient d’une pâleur étrange, avec des nuances de noisettes et rouges. Il était plutôt bien vêtu, avec une veste de costume, une chemise blanche et un pantalon en toile de bonne qualité. Cependant, il était incroyablement pâle, et très mince.  Et, il avait l’air totalement perdu. Il vous regarde en fronçant les sourcils. Vous faites la même chose du coup.

Heureusement, vous n’avez pas non plus 2 de QI, mais c’est Satan qui commence à vous parlez :

- Ouais, salut, normalement, vous savez, il faut passer par une agence, remplir des tas et des tas de formulaire. Vous n’avez pas vu ma secrétaire ? Franchement, vous me faites perdre mon temps là. Vous savez combien de personne veulent mes pouvoirs ? Et ce sont TOUJOURS des humains faibles, et idiots. Je leur file habituellement toujours des démons faiblards pour me débarrasser des deux. Souvent, je les revois quelques jours plus tard, mort.  Vous haussez les épaules, écoutant son blabla avec une indifférence crasse.  Le Mal-En-Personne commence à observer la pièce, fronce les sourcils en voyant le cadavre, claque des doigts, le faisant disparaître. Puis, il remarque les reliques et s’en approche, pour les renifler.  - Oh, les reliques ! Je les avais paumé... Ca doit faire quoi, mille ans ? Boaf, maintenant j’en ai plus besoin.... Il fouille dans ses poches et vous tend... Une carte de visite.  - Appelez-la, la prochaine fois que vous voulez... Vous voulez quoi d’abord ?  - Bah, en fait j’ai senti-

Il vous interrompt.

- En fait, je m’en fiche, je suis en VACANCE. Tss, les humains, je vous jure ! Satan n’a pas l’air de vouloir entendre parler du scénario. Il commence à s’estomper pour partir, mais vous le retenez par le bras. Le mal-en-personne (qui a perdu ses majuscule) s’arrête net et vous regarde avec des yeux de merlan fris, surpris par votre folie. - Ah, oui, toi, t’as un grain. T’as été bercée trop prêt du mur ou ça se passe comment ?  Il soupire, et observe les reliques. - Bon, tu me sembles tout de même déterminée.  Il fouille dans ses poches, et vous regarde d’un air dépité et désespéré :

- T’aurais pas des cigarettes ?  - Fumer baisse l’espérance de vie, empêche d’être un bon sportif, et est interdit par le Vatican. - Ahhhh oui, le Vatican ! Mais je croyais que Lucifer avait reformé tout ça, non ? 

Vous haussez les épaules, désintéressée.

 Il roule des yeux, et claque des doigts, faisant apparaître MICAH ARCHAGE qui était en train d’étrangler un petit démon. Ce dernier finit écrasé sous ses talons, avant qu’elle ne remarque qu’elle n’était plus aux Enfers. 

C’était une belle jeune femme, aux cheveux blonds mi-long, et aux étranges yeux bleus asymétriques à cause d’une hétérochromie dorée : l’une formait des tâches (à droite) et l’autre un cercle central, autour de sa pupille.  - Quoi, encore !? Dit-elle en vous regardant tour à tour.  Satan  se tue, se bouchant les oreilles. - TU CROIS VRAIMENT QUE J'AI QUE CA A FAIRE ESPECE D'ABRUTI ? BON SANG PENDANT QUE MONSIEUR SE LA COULE DOUCE AVEC DES VIERGES SUR TERRE, MADAME S'OCCUPE DE TOUS LES PROBLEMES AUX ENFERS. - Mais... On m'a invoqué... Il baissait la tête comme un enfant. - JE M'EN BAS LES REINS AVEC UNE FORCE, TU N'IMAGINES MÊME PAS.Elle commençait à lentement changer de formes, ses cheveux devenant blonds platines, ses yeux rouges et ses vêtements un costume blanc. En outre, des ailes éthérées rouges s'ouvrèrent dans son dos.- CALME TOI MICAH. Elle serra les poings. - Tu me gaves à toujours jamais t'occuper des enfers ! C'est moi qui fait tout le boulot. Tu te rappelles de la réforme administrative que tu m'avais promis ?? TOUJOURS RIEN. ET CA FAIT TROIS. CENT. PUTAIN. D’ANNÉES INFERNALES. Il s'approcha d'elle, très blasé, et mit sa main sur sa bouche. Il faisait au moins vingt centimètre de plus que la jolie démone. - Tu as des cigarettes ? Il y eu un moment de flottement. Avant qu'elle enfonce son talon haut dans les couilles. - TU ME FAIS VENIR POUR CA ? Il était assis au sol, les yeux dans le vide.

- TU ES IMPOSSIBLE ? J’AI L’AIR D’ÊTRE TA BABYSITTER ?????? Elle recommençait à se transformer.  - Heuh, sinon, je peux parler ...? Vous essayer de parler.  Elle se tourne vers vous, des éclairs dans les yeux. Vous remarquez sur la ceinture de sa très mini-jupe, un sabre laser fermé. Vous devrez très soigneusement choisir vos mots si vous ne voulez pas mourir. Elle a l'air plus dangereuse que Satan lui-même. Ce qui était, en fait, le cas. Micah était probablement la démone la plus puissante des Enfers, au même titre que les péchés capitaux. Alors qu’elle n’était qu’une simple humaine dans sa vie passée.  - Q U O I !? - Heuh, j’ai invoqué Satan... Parce que j’étais... Curieuse. Micah avait commencé à sortir son sabre. - Pardon ? Tu te fous de moi ? Tu me fais perdre mon temps pour de la simple curiosité ? Tu tiens pas à la vie en fait !?  Improviser, vous devez. Mentir, vous devriez. - En fait j’ai senti une fluctuation autour des portes, et des Liens entre les mondes. Des monstres ont commencés à sortir du purgatoire... C’est comme si les mondes vibraient.  - J’ai l’air de comprendre ce que tu dis ?  - Non. - Alors soit plus clair avant que tu ressembles à un steak haché. - En gros : je crois que quelqu’un essaie de détruire les trois mondes. Le Dieu des démons se releva, le regard toujours un peu flou, puis se tourne vers Micah. - On devrait peut-être réagir non ? Je suis un des garants de cette univers.  Elle soupire. - Je n’ai pas spécialement envie de disparaître, et j’aime bien la guerre, alors... Ca pourrait aussi nous servir à nettoyer un peu les enfers, c’est un peu surpeuplé en ce moment. - Et ça peut nous servir à voir ton pote- Elle lui  jeta un regard tellement sombre qu’un trou noir aurait pu apparaître entre les deux. Micah se tourne ensuite vers vous. - Et sinon, t’es qui ? - Je me nomme Adélaïde Desbois, je suis une Magus du Vatican.  [ET ON REPART POUR LE SONDAGE !
