In Age of X, when Magneto says ‘there must be a shrine in some remote corner of your being. A place of sanctity.’, in that entire speech, and in that moment, that place for him is Legacy. It’s Anna.
Because he didn’t imprison her as his own laws would have asked for; he didn’t kill her in the rubble to secure his fortress. He sheltered her. He preserved that corner of himself. Legacy (her ways and the world seen through her eyes) represents that piece of humanity in him while the rest of his soul is a butcher’s shop. He wants to trust her judgement even if her actions are breaking his world apart. He chooses to put his faith in her at the cost of himself and at the cost of the world he fights to keep afloat because he trusts her to be the better part of him.
The story starts with Legacy reminding him of how long they have been fighting for, making him reflect on the meaning of their lives. And by the end of it he comes to terms with how tired he is of that struggle, of surviving just to wake up again and again to the same grey day. So when she exposes the cracks in his fortress he chooses to see the rays of light that are coming through.
Yes, I do love that story - it had so many details written with care and respect.

Master List and Preview below:
Frank was looking at a Los Angeles icon, Dodger Stadium. It was his new home, his new team and hopefully his new life. He asked a security guard where to go and was met at the door by an assistant. She was a shameless flirt, commenting on Frank’s forearms and his tattoos, cooing about how good of a player he is. There was zero chance of Frank being interested. His Friday Night adventures were reserved for road trips only. His one-night stands worked out just fine, in his opinion.
As he was guided into the conference room, Frank was met with the president of operations, Nick Stanton. “Mr. Stanton.”
“Frank! Good to see you again.” He shakes hands with Frank. “We’re waiting for everyone so can I offer you a drink?” He gestures to Frank to sit at the table.
“Just a cola, thanks.” Frank took the seat next to the head of the table.
“How was the move?”
“Smoother than I thought it would be. Mary, my niece, threw a couple of tantrums but between me and my nanny, we managed to get her here.”
“Nanny?”
“Oh yeah, Scott, he’s great. He was willing to move with us, which is great since Mary seems to only listen to him.” Frank chuckles. “Who would listen to your uncle/pseudo father?”
“I remember that story,” Nick replies. “You are brave to take on a baby right after bring drafted.”
Frank shrugged. “Its not that big of a deal. You would do anything for family, especially Mary.”
More voices float towards the conference room and Frank stands as he sees his agent and lawyer walk in and shake his hand. Then the general manager for the Dodgers comes in, making small talk with Frank.
“Ok, I think we are just missing the team doctor and our legal team,” Nick tells everyone. “Its not Natasha, she’s busy with another client. She’s sending in their new associate.”
Frank just nods as the GM goes over the training schedule and when he would meet the team. The conference room door opens and Frank turns to see and his stomach drops. He feels himself become clammy and pale. Because this shouldn’t be happening.
Fuck.
He looks at the brunette that walked in.
she’s definitely not supposed to be here.
What the FUCK!
Abby Hernandez, his ex-girlfriend, love of his life, walked into the room.

April 7, 1990
On this day 34 years ago Steven Adler performed his final show as an official member of Guns and Roses, a 2 song set at Farm Aid. The performance included the songs “Civil War” and “Down On The Farm”, a song which later appeared on The Spaghetti Incident album with Matt Sorum on drums.
Steven would make a few guest appearances during the “Not In This Lifetime” reunion tour but there seems to be no chance that he will permanently return to the band in the future.
Have you seen Steven perform solo in the past few years? Do you think he could do a GnR tour?

Well hello again.
I'm still feeling disgusted by Activision's marketing shenanigans that went over the course of last two years, not to mention the absolute fucking disaster Modern Warfare III turned out to be (the netcode is apparently still fucked, the stupid insistence on releasing nothing but old maps, including the fucking Das Haus for some absolutely moronic reason, next to no weapon balance with MW2 guns being oddly favored in the early seasons - at least that's what I heard and saw in patch notes), but I have to admit, Treyarch is still doing great on the art direction side of things.
Black Ops 6 trailer looks solid. They're bringing Russell Adler back, and explaining why with the obvious Woods callback. And unsurprisingly, the Cold War is over but reality goes "not so fast" and with the tagline "The Truth Lies", something tells me we'll be seeing a lot of off-the-books CIA fuckery right out of the Family Jewels casebook. Not that I played the Cold War campaign at all, but I might still revisit it these days. Plus, what the hell is with that three-headed dog symbol? First Perseus, now Cerberus? Didn't Bioware call about that one?
And as for the multiplayer, I'm guessing it'll be faster and looser than MW2, but I got used to it last time. Is it time to GIT GUD again?
Time will tell.
