I will say this: if Su-Han was The Supreme, it'd be so easy to beat him. All you'd need to do is have Adrien and Marinette go back to our world and get an Alliance ring and he'd be so befuddled by this swanky new modern contraption it that he'd just. Quit. Like, he'd get addicted to cat videos and give up on world domination just like that. Have Gabriel design him a pair of fancy shoes on top of that and he'd just jump away. Cause who needs world domination when you can have drip instead amirite.

Post Monarch defeat, all the Miraculous are recovered (except possibly the Peacock with Felix), the heroes daily grind switches from fighting Akumas to fighting rogue holders who begin to come out of the woodwork. After all, the core of the Guardian order was missing for over 170 years, and many of the Miraculous that weren't in the temple when the disaster happened have gone through multiple hands in the meantime. Su-han serves as a light mentor, compiling a list of the currently missing miraculouses. This is all well and good, until the day the Emperor Penguin Miraculous appears. Su-Han: Oh, oh no... This... This cannot BE! Ladybug: What? What's wrong, we defeated him and recovered the miraculous, what's wrong? Chat Noir: Yeah, what's the problem? Su-Han: You don't understand. There ISN'T an Emperor Penguin Miraculous! Chat Noir: Uh, Yeah there is, I'm holding it! Su-Han: Yes, but there WASN'T one before! The Magus never made one. I, I doubt he even knew about Penguins. Ladybug: So, what, someone made a new miraculous? Su-Han: I can think of no other possiblity. And that is VERY worrying. Because even WE don't know how to make Miraculouses. Is it that bad if numerous people but not Chat noir know Ladybug's secret identity ? (with a little comparison to Insomniac Spider-man games)

Spoilers Warning from the recent MArvel Spider-man 2 game on PS5 :

I thought about the fact that at least 6 people are confirmed to know Ladybug's secret's identity at the end ofseason 5 : Alya, Luka, Felix, Kagami, Alix and Su-Han

And I wondered once why Marinette remains Ladybug while so many people know her secret identity, then I remembered that Spider-man aka Peter Parker also did his best to keep his secret identity from many people and all New Yorkers when he could, and only revealed it to those he trusted the most. And after seeing Marinette struggle many times because of her secret, it's reassuring to know that among her friends, 4 of them won't be affected nor damaged by her secret because they know the reasons behind her absences, delays and bogus excuses

To make another comparison with the Spider-man universe, in the recent Marvel Spider-man 2 game on PS5, with his family and most close friends being aware that he is the second Spider-man, Miles has a more solid and helpfull support system than what Peter had at the same age. While Peter kept his secret to himself for a long time before taking his girlfriend MJ into his confidence

But was unaware that his Aunt May of that universe also discovered that he was Spider-man at some point, and he only learned about it during her last moments

And he could not enjoy for long to have his secret also known by best friend Harry in the second game.

But many people close to Miles were made aware of his secret between the Marvel Spider-man game : Miles Morales and the Marvel Spider-man 2 on PS5. And at the end of the Marvel Spdier-man 2 video game, Miles has his mother Rio, his uncle Aaron, his best friend Ganke, and his near girlfriend Hayley aware that he is the second spider-man

And I could see how it made things easier and more bearable for Miles to not hide this secret from his most loved ones.

And I don't want to summerize how difficult and painfull it was for many versions of Peter Paker to hide the fact that they were Spider-man from their loved ones. But Marvel Spider-man 2 shows us that being able to share his responsibilities with a more than competent Miles, of whom Peter is the mentor, or even to be helped by MJ and Harry once in a while is a good thing for Peter, and really seems to lift him some weight from him

Peter being Miles mentor also adds another close friend and confidant for each other

So yeah I don't think it will be such a bother to have 6 people being aware of Ladybug's secret identity, because they all proved that they could resist akumatization or keep that secret well to themselves : Alya, Luka and Felix all resisted akumatization once, Su-han has a secret technique keeping him safe from akumatization as long as he can spot the akuma, and even though Kagami suspected Marinette of being Ladybug in Perfection and Protection, Monarch didn't manage to find this information in her mind when he akumatized her (also Kagami now has a miracle charm and those can stop and purify akuma and megakuma with positive emotions).

As for Alix, I can only hope that she'll know to be very carefull with the things she know and learnt from her time travels.

The most important thing is for the people aware of Ladybug's secret identity to be reliable with that secret, which is certainly not everyone (I'm thinking about you Nino).

And while Adrichat also knows how to keep a secret, and would definitly be trustfull and reliable with Ladybug's civilian identity (as he showed that he could in the Chat Blanc). The problem is that so far everytime Ladybug and Chat Noir had both been aware of each other secret identities, a catastrophe always ensued, and the Rabbit and Snake power were necessary to fix everything. Now since Gabriel is out of the picture, it would be logic to think that Lila/Chrysalis doesn't pose near the same threat on Adrien's psyche as Gabriel did in Chat Blanc and Ephemeral, and yet the fact that she's aware of a secret that Maribug will be forced by the scenario to keep from Chat Noir could make everything worse if Adrien also knew that both Marinette and Ladybug are the same.

As long as there's a risk for Chat Noir and Ladybug love between them as Marinette and Adrien to be exploited, it's still not safe for them to know about who is behind the mask of their partner.

And after almost being akumatized thrice, Marinette would not be able to trust herself with Chat noir's secret identity neither. Let's at least take solace into the fact that Marinette and Adrien are both aware that Luka knows Ladybug AND Chat Noir seret's identies, and thus could eventually request Luka's help to act as a bridge between them (not knowing how frustrating such a thing would be for poor Luka ^^')

Although ... given Lila's skills at manipulation (or rather at making everyone intelligence spectcularly drop), Alya would be the more at risk to reveal Ladybug's secret identity, if Lila isn't already aware of it that is (I sure hope that's not the case T_T)

But I'm also hoping that season 6 will manage to exploit well the fact that Kagami and Felix also know that Ladybug and Marinette are one and the same, because with what Lila/Cerise and soon to be Chrysalis probably has in store for Maribug, the ladybug heroin will definitly need reliable allies and friends on her side, especially somoene as intelligent and cunning as Felix. And while Kagami and Felix still need to prove themselves to me, there's a good potential for a future dynamic between them and Marinette. Or maybe my hopes are for naugths and Felix and Kagami will be side character without a good development T^T

(He turns around to see....little versions of the child heroes. As...child playthings?)

Littlebug: (Observes the INTRUDER, preparing weapons in case of attack)

Chaton: (Frowns at the big meanie man, doesn't know who he is or why he's there but already doesn't like him)

Minimouse: (Holds up hands to Mister, asking for the ball back)

Su Han: Begone! (Kicks Minimouse away)

Minimouse: (Falls, looks up, looking sad)

Su Han: Do not get in my way! I am taking the Miracle Box and that is that!

(He turns to where the Box is only to find Minimouse sitting on top of it.)

Su Han: (Looks back down to floor where he had just kicked Minimouse)

Minimouse: (Looks up at him tearfully)

Su Han: (Looks back at Box and sees the Minimouse is also there)

Minimouse on top of Box: (Hiss)

(Hissing starts to fill the room as he realizes those two aren't the only Minimouse...Minimice.)

Minimice: (Start to appear, all hissing, all angry)

Su Han: Wait. WAIT!

Chaton: (Stares)

Littlebug: (Covers Chaton's eyes)

Minimice: (Converge on Su Han)

Su Han: (Girly scream)

Marinette: (Enters through trapdoor with cookies) Sorry it took me so long, the bakery was really busy. But I brought you guys some snacks! Have you been behaving?

(Marinette fully enters the room to find Su Han tied up and sitting at a little table where Minimouse, Littlebug, and Chaton are also seated at table set up for a tea party.)

Su Han: (Glaring at Marinette, though the effect is somewhat ruined by the bonnet he's wearing as well as the duct tape over his mouth) MMPH!

Marinette: (Stares flatly at Su Han) I see. (Sets the cookies on the table and speaks sweetly) Enjoy your tea party! (Leaves)

Dolls: (Wave at Marinette as she leaves)

Su Han: (Struggles more)

Minimouse: (Pouts at him for shaking the table as she's trying to drink tea)

Littlebug: (Reaches for a cattle prod)

Minimice hidden around the room: (HISSS)

Su Han: (Reluctantly stops)

I wanna know why Su-Han hates Marinette so much that he would rather train a guy she went out with twice than actually staying in Paris and helping her. If you say that's cuz she lost the miraculous I'll throw hands cuz he watched everything happening and did nothing while bragging how he would be a better guardian than her and how he doesn't trust her and CN cuz they had a bad mentor and then did nothing to help. Fuck him I'll kill him right after I kill Andre the fucking ice cream man.

reunion seemed to reinforce the fact that marinette is going to lose her memories at some point, but the kwagatama holding records of her memories as a holder implies there will be a way out

Do you think Su-Han was so against Marinette being a Guardian because she's a girl? I mean, he's been gone for probably around 173 years before being brought back after Feast was defeated. Not to mention of the Guardians we see, both in person and in flashbacks, they're all male.

Honestly, it’s hard to say.

Cause Su Han seemed to concede pretty quick on things, mostly pissed off about all the infractions against the rules. Plus he showed Marinette more respect than Fu. (Insulting Fu until the end).

It’s possible but I don’t think it’s a definitive.

Hi! I hope I'm not repeating already answered question but if you don't mind, I'd like to ask your opinion about Luka, Jagged and Penny now trained under Su Han. Many people said "It make senses because Luka know lb and CN identity" but I don't think it make senses because Jagged and Penny doesn't??

If people think the reason CN can't be in the last battle because he's too emotional and can be akumatized, then wouldn't it make more senses for him to be the one trained by Su Han?

My opinion is that it makes literally no sense and came out of nowhere, and Su-Han is a tragically wasted character. There was literally no foreshadowing or build-up to Luka learning from Su-Han, and even less so for his deadbeat father and the lady who's somehow in love with him. I'll admit I liked the scene where Fang beats up a bunch of people, but it was just so jarring and out of nowhere. It would have made more sense if Luka had, like, any sort of prior interaction with Su-Han outside of just standing there when he and Ladybug were beefing.

And Su-Han is such a wasted character. We could have learnt more about the lore of the Guardians that the show started to explore and then promptly dropped. We could have had him mentor Ladybug and Chat Noir and help them develop more powers or something, but he just ended up being comic relief and a punching bag for Ladybug so that we could see how awesome and amazing she was as Guardian. I'll never get over how Su-Han ended up apologizing to Ladybug for not helping her after she chewed him out for being angry over something he had every right to be angry about. And this is all after she told him she could handle it herself.

And about Su-Han training Adrien, it would have made perfect sense. If Adrien's "flaw" is that he'll get akumatized, why not let the person who has an anti-akumatization technique mentor him? I'll tell you why, it's because the akumatization excuse is just a way to get Adrien out of the picture so that Marinette doesn't have to share the spotlight. And it's also because Adrien doesn't get to have anything that isn't somehow connected to Marinette, and Su-Han is not Marinette's mentor so he can't be Adrien's either. It's just so bad.

The fact that Su Han has a technique that protects you from akumatization and he DIDN'T teach Adrien and Marinette really goes to show how incompetent he is...

And how easily the writers could still make the threat of akumatization a non-issue (but they're not gonna).

Characters that deserved better from the writers part 2, because this show really robbed a lot of them.

From Chloé and Zoé not being allowed to form a bond, grow together and stand up to Audrey, to Zoé’s throw-away and rushed introduction in general.

Luka was introduced as nothing more that the third wheel, dropped, and later turned into yet other mindless shipper of Adrien and Marinette (no hate to the ship btw). He has no personality, and seeing his backstory, it’s really a shame they didn’t develop him further.

And finally to Su-Han, a Master of the miraculous, with over two centuries of training, who instead of becoming Marinette’s new teacher, was insulted and degraded by the writers and made into a pathetic wimp, groveling in front of a holder with less than a year of experience.
