Oh! Saw this in the inbox and figured I'd use this to explain! Thanks for the question btw! So regarding Shadie, due to where Harmon and I are now in regards to our friendship (we're cordial at best yet hardly talk anymore they're just kind enough to let me run the blog until they're feeling up to it again), Shadie will no longer be a part of LoaS' canon, and if she were to be, odds are she and Mohawk wouldn't be romantic interests like originally planned (Mohawk is a very special Character to Harmon and a lot of Harmon is what built his character so him dating a OC of mine would no doubt be awkward XP) . This isn't just due to our current relationship however, even if Shadie were to appear here I'd have to completely rewrite her as she's no longer a character I'm happy with. I'll admit she's rather aimless character wise, an OC I put tons of thought into but my former inexperience as a writer shines hella hard through her and it's been years since I last did anything with her thus making her a bit hard to do anything with in her current state. I have been slowly rebuilding her character from the ground up but her reappearing any time soon on LoaS' blog is slim to none at this point. And once Harmon is in the saddle you honestly shouldn't expect to see her ever, physically or mentioned in passing which is fine by me. I'm kind of glad she didn't show up all that much in the past, thus not many will miss her now that she's gone, less heartache XD. So yeah any mention of Shadie from here on out will just spur confusion from the band. Just pretend you didn't see aaaaaannything (plz get the reference), regarding her and we can continue on with our regularly scheduled program :3

Sims 3 Gameplay Mods

I was going through MTS looking for mods to improve my gameplay and thought I would share the ones I downloaded!

Livestreaming Mod - Allows your sims to livestream from a PC for tips, blog followers, and celebrity points.

More Pregnancy Interactions - Adds more options for the pregnant sim and more social interactions with all age groups!

Yoga Mod - Allows your sim to do yoga and also lead a yoga class for simoleons.

Laundromat Fix - Actually empties the laundry hamper on your sims home lot when using a washing machine at a laundromat.

Dirty Laundry Mod - Gives your sim a negative moodlet when dirty laundry hasn't been washed in a few days. Gives more incentive to do your sims laundry!

Layoff Mod - Gives your sim a 2% chance at the end of every work day of being laid off. Depending on their work level they may get unemployment benefits.

Nicer Vendors - Overrides the default animations when interacting with vendors, looks more friendly.

Acne Mod - Gives teens-adults a chance of waking up with acne. Adds washing face options and applying acne toner at sink.

Sunscreen - Allows you to buy sunscreen from the store, will protect sims from getting a sunburn with Seasons installed. Works on vampire sims as well.

Restaurant Host Career - Allows your sim to work part time at diners/bistros as a host. Only 1 career level.

TSM > TS3 Facial Expressions - Overrides most s3 facial expressions with the sims medieval ones making them a lot more realistic and natural looking.

One With Nature - Allows your sims to sleep outside on ground, wash themselves in bodies of water, and go to the bathroom outside. Needs Nraas traveler mod to work. (Good for apocalyptic gameplays/adding realism?? haha)

Walk Cycle Edits - Overrides original walk cycles so there's no forced smile, allowing your sims to make facial expressions based on mood/surroundings.

The Randomizer Mod - Triggers more random events that effect your household. Adds more realism and can effects the relationships/friendships your sims have. (Can choose between which random event modules you want in your game based on play style!)

More Negative Moodlets - Negative moodlets cause a greater effect on your sims mood making it a bit more realistic.

Name: Golden Mushroom

The more I look at this mushroom, the more I choose to view it as cheese. Just nice solid cheddar. But it's not! It's metal or something. Blech! This probably does not seem like a very interesting subject for a post. Maybe you're thinking "what in the New Super Mario Bros. 2 is this", and yeah, that is fair. But look!

See? He wants it. He wants it quite a lot. Doesn't that make YOU want it? It must be pretty good if a little rascal feels entitled to it! And it's on a pedestal. That means it's really good! If you had it, you could do such awesome stuff as put it on a pedestal of your own. And then you could look at it.

Ok I'm gonna be honest! I don't even want it. I don't know what I would do with it. What does it even DO? In Superstar Saga, it restores all HP and BP, so that's pretty great! It's a miracle cure, like famous mid game Dr. Mario Miracle Cure!... But then in Bowser's Inside Story, it was replaced by Star Candy. And in the Bowser's Inside Story REMAKE, it was half-replaced, because instead of Star Candy, Bowser eats Cheesy Chicken. He's going to give himself diarrhea!

Obviously, New Super Mario Bros. 2 is where the Golden Mushroom got a big role, but it's the Gold FLOWER that turns Mario into Gold Mario. What of the Golden Mushroom, then? It gives 50 coins and that's all. Just 50 of them. Not even enough to afford a Life! Some meetings could have been an email, and this mushroom could have been a coin.

The Clown Hat from Odyssey costs 50 coins. That's all this mushroom is worth! A cardboard party hat! And yet, if you go to Super Nintendo World, they expect you to want to beat up Bowser Jr. with bombs, for stealing one mushroom the price of a party hat. It's not worth it, people! Just let the kid buy a funny hat! It's more worthwhile than leaving the mushroom on a pedestal and doing nothing with it!

And while I'm on the topic of underwhelming golden mushrooms, did you know that there was an event featuring the Wonder Flower in Super Mario Run? If you collected it, the wacky effect was that... Gold Goombas would appear, and be locked into a single animation, and function as coins! I don't know what the point of it was. Gold Goombas aren't even in Wonder! They're in NSMB2! Oh... why, I'm so mad! All of these golden mushrooms are mid as hell! If I see one more underwhelming golden mushroom, I'm gonna... I don't even know. I might have to just start biting strangers. And people don't like me when I bite strangers! I hear something now... that better not be another golden mushroom...!

Who IS Dot??

I saw some people surprised about the engagement and I love any opportunity to talk about Dot! Let's meet the newest soon-to-be Hermit spouse!

Dot, AKA Dot_Dot_Dash, is a Minecrafter, editor, and the long term girlfriend, now fiancée, of ZedaphPlays! She uses she/her pronouns and is originally from the Netherlands, but has lived with Zed in England for a while now! She's bilingual and is trying to teach Zed Dutch! They originally met online and have been together for fourish years.

Dot loves chickens, puns, and her dog Danny, who she often posts cute pictures of. She's a friend and fan of the Hermits and an absolute fiend at Mario Kart, even enjoying the driving minigames in other games. They don't call her Dash for nothing! Some of the designs in Zed's merch shop were designed by her and she's even tried her hand at animation! Dot is most noted for supplying the captions for Zed's videos, recently extending to Gem as well. Accessibility!

She has her own YouTube channel with a short singleplayer series and a small bounty of Hermitcraft edits! My personal favorite is the Impulse and Tango version of the Drake and Josh theme. While her series was short, she used to livestream gameplay as well and is quite the talented builder, particularly liking to build castles! You can also find her on several Zedaph streams and his Patreon server.

Dot was even at the 2024 Gamers Outreach Charity Event! She can be spotted looking fashionable and enabling Zed's poor ideas, even supplying one of her own! Turns out Zed's hips are too wide to use a party hat as a jock strap.

Dot is fun, cheeky, talented, cute, and I look forward to seeing more of her! She and Kris are a great pair and we here at zedfacts wish them the best on this new step! <3
