Currently the only blog I have for writing is Re-Writing Cave Story. Also I am not open for commissions YET, but sometime in the future I will be! I was being kind of silly goofy about it when I reblogged your Lila fridging post but further thinking about it, it made me realize why I hate what the Corruption mod did to Lila so much

I hope you don't mind me ranting about it I just need to get it out of my system dnfskjf

To offer recap/explanation for anyone that has no idea what the fuck I'm talking about: Corruption is a FNF mod by Phantom Fear where Monster starts a zombie apocalypse by corrupting BF and GF and sending them to cause havoc upon the rest of the cast

In the mod's second half, Pico is scrounging for supplies when he stumbles upon Corrupted Skid... eating Lila's corpse. Pico then runs off to go hurl

And oh my god that one scene killed my entire interest in the mod and it took so long for me to actually articulate why: Lila is not used as a character, she is used for shock value. There was absolutely zero point in killing her, especially when the same episode reveals that Spirit and Senpai, who we were lead to believe were dead, are actually alive (albeit heavily mangled by broken code)

It doesn't even really make sense plot wise either? Her body looks freshly dead, but the second half of the mod takes place an unknown amount of time after the entire world fell to the corruption, so Lila's body should either be far more decomposed like the corrupted Tankmen were (assuming she died before or shortly after Week 7), or she should just be corrupted

And it just. It misses the fucking endless potential of Lila. We don't even get to see her reaction to seeing her son corrupted, or Skid attacking her, she's just. Dead. Being Bob Velseb'd by her own son

They could've had corrupted Lila and Skid fighting together against Pico! They could've did cool parallel things with Lila and Skid and Mommy Mearest and Girlfriend! THEY COULD'VE JUST HAD SKID KILL SOMEONE ELSE!

And it also like. Entirely baffles me why Lila is treated like this because GF and MM, both as themselves and while corrupted, are treated respectfully by the narrative and get a lot of time to shine. I just. Augh

Sorry again for the big rant about some random mod I just feel very strongly about this bc I loved corruption mod for a LONG while and I'd likely still be watching it if they didn't do Lila so dirty like that. She deserved SO much better

Okay, so, that's an almost perfect example of the kind of thing I'm talking about; There's no respect for her whatsoever and it's just... so much wasted potential. You've already said everything about it yourself.

For all of the good she's doing as a "character," Skid might as well be mindlessly eating through his prized Pokemon card collection.

As the above link explains, that's definitely a fridging because it only serves to make characters upset briefly and shallowly (I doubt any of the characters will ever address Skid being an orphan when he does get cured, so we won't even get son angst.) and doesn't give characters time to grieve. We don't even know if Pico knows her, he could just be grossed out by general cannibalism.

If I had to guess, this happened because the creator wanted a fucked up death without affecting the main cast directly, and didn't particularly care for Spooky Month's characters outside of Skid and Pump. Lila only existed in proximity to Skid for them, so they didn't have any reservations about putting her on the chopping block because they weren't attached to her or cared about her in any capacity.

Unfortunate for us who actually care about these characters, but not everyone is going to be as into their source materials as we are. Sighs.

Yep, it’s yet another tournament. This time, it’s about Friday Night Funkin’ characters, vanilla AND otherwise!

Mod is @zerosocialskillz, and I’ll be hosting this little event.

As the bracket hasn’t been built yet, I’ve decided that YOU are going to submit some characters into the bracket! Some characters are in the bracket already (those who are confirmed to be in the vanilla game + a personal submission), though.

Submission rules

The rules are already in the forum, but i'll copy and paste it here anyway

Characters that are already in the vanilla Friday Night Funkin' game (confirmed unreleased characters included) are already included in the bracket. As such, there is no need to submit them.

These include: Boyfriend, Girlfriend, Daddy Dearest, Mommy Mearest, Monster, Senpai, Spirit, Pico, Skid, Pump, Sergeant John "Tankman" Captain, Cassette Girl, Hank J. Wimbleton, Darnell, Nene, and Cassandra.

Alternate versions of characters (EX: AU versions of Sans, Skyblue and variants, etc.) are not allowed. They will all be lumped in their original version of the character, or maybe even be disqualified.

The total number of characters are undecided, so who knows, maybe this bracket will have 64 characters total, or just 16.

You can put any character in this bracket, as long as it has a mod made for them!

If a character does not originate from a Friday Night Funkin' mod nor Newgrounds, there is a low chance that I might put them in the bracket. It doesn't mean all of them are automatically disqualified, however. Just a low chance.

The link for the mods must be the download page or a showcase.

You can submit more than one character. Just don't spam the same character, as it'll make organizing things harder.

How many times a character is requested doesn't really affect their chances of getting in, so spamming the same character over and over again is pointless and a no-no.

Ultimately, this tournament is for fun, and as such, do not take this tournament seriously. Be civil and don't be toxic once it ultimately begins, although I understand that I can't expect people to abide by those when comparisons are inevitable due to its nature.

Hey ya'll. This is a skin mod for Friday Night Funkin' featuring the  characters from My Hero Academia. I mostly centered this around  Kirishima and Bakugo because I saw some artwork of them and was inspired  to do so. Although this mod is intended to be for the romantic ship of  them, I don't mind if people see their relationship as platonic.

Here are who is who and some explanations:

Kirishima as BF: "Guys, not to brag, but I'm a pretty awesome singer."

Bakugou as GF: To ship with Kirishima and also has had his parents appear in the show.

Sero and Mina as Skid and Pump:  Honestly this was the most difficult to choose for. I thought of  putting the kids from the second My Hero movie, or Eri and Kota, or even  Deku and Ochako. In the end I chose Sero and Mina because of the  Bakusquad, like maybe the plot of this mod is that the squad is  preparing Kirishima to face Bakugou's mom or something.

Kaminari as Pico: This  was mostly because the Bakugou, Kirishima, and Kaminari trio is iconic  in the show, and because if Week 7 ever comes out I want him to be the  one to come in and start zapping people in Stress.

Bakugo's Parents as GF Parents: Self explanatory.

Some things to note:

There  are some parts of this mod that are unfinished unfortunately. I wanted  to make the lemon demon monster be Shigaraki, and I wanted to make the  students and Senpai in Week 6 have the UA uniforms, but I started to get  frustrated with this mod. It was taking too much of my time, and I  constantly went back to previous sprites and making sure they looked  good. Also, I became very frustrated with making sprite animations, so I  just pixelated the normal ones.

So if I come back to update this mod, here are some of the things I want to fix:

Make Monster into Shigaraki

Change the colors on Senpai and girls to make their clothes look like UA uniforms

Change the dialogue in Week 6

Make proper sprite animations for Week 6

Souji Seta x Yosuke Hanamura ☂ A River Through a Foggy Land ☂ Afterword from the author

I started my playthrough of P4G on the day it was ported to the Switch and I quite literally focused my time on grinding Yosuke's social link to 10. It was worth it, though, as it lives rent-free in my mind.

It doesn't help that before I even started the game, I couldn't help myself but watch a video of the mod that actually lets you date him. Real shame that it was cut...the moment that topic is bought up in my presence, I will go on and on until someone silences me.

I just finished a larger scale project, being the Kaveh x Reader, and I was taking a break from writing for a little bit. I've been wanting to write a oneshot with these two for a while, and with the rank 10 fresh in my mind, I figured that there was no better opportunity.

I quite literally got a burst of energy in the middle of the night and spent a solid three hours writing and editing it. I was looking to incorporate both the canon rank 10 as well as aspects of the cut scene. I kept Yosuke's confession pretty close to the original, as in all honesty, I liked how it played out. Short and sweet.

I don't know what got into me, but I particularly enjoyed the tidbit about him becoming fish food. Deciding to have Yosuke nervously poke at the fish swimming around Souji's swimming spot wasn't planned, but I am glad I kept it. It's one of those silly tidbits that I personally love.

I really wanted to make this fluffy as all hell, while still respecting Yosuke's struggles with loneliness as well as moving on from his Senpai's death. I mentioned it briefly, but I didn't want to divert the attention of this fic to that subject. Adds a bit of depth to his feelings.

Overall, I just really enjoy writing for Yosuke. Souji was fun to write for as well, but was a bit difficult considering his status as a silent protagonist. It doesn't help that I am already biased towards Hana-chan myself, between being a fan of characters like him and just...personally being a huge fan of him myself.

I do think my bias shows through at times. Especially when I slid in a mildly suggestive implication near the end here. I couldn't help myself though, I love a tiny bit of teasing like this in my ship fics.

Never thought that I would enjoy writing for these two so much. I'm actually more of a fan of Shiromura (Naosuke?), but this short project made me realize just how much I enjoy writing Souyo.

Might write more for them in the future once my backlog becomes smaller.

Also, as to why I chose Souji over Yu, it's more of a personal preference. Fuck canon. Plus, considering the English language, it often times sounds awkward when both "Yu" and "you" are being used.

The title is a reference to Rivers in the Desert from the P5 soundtrack. I wonder if anyone has caught onto that?

Welcome to the video game legacy challenge! This challenge is basically your average legacy challenge but each generation is loosely based off of a different game. Growing up on a farm was fun and all but for you it was all about the city...but your broke so you could only afford the worst apartment in san Myshuno, great. Moving to the city was going to be the best thing ever or so you thought, only a day after moving into the city you were watching tv on a box tv when the news came on in a frantic explaining that there was an atomic bomb that was about to drop on the sim world in 24 hours and the main target was san Myshuno, the news reporter urged every san Myshuno resident to move to Newcrest in the neighbor hood that was abandoned. Right after you saw that there was a knock on the door, It was your neighbor, The attractive one who was franticly telling you to hurry and grab some items and come with them where you two can move into one of the houses together to hopefully survive. Your neighbor only gave you 60 seconds to grab everything you needed before you two took off to a very run down house where you would spend the next few years together waiting out the radio active air.

Your parents were infamous gang members and were always running from place to place which never gave you enough time to get to know anyone so you were always meeting new people. When you became a teen you met a sim that you were really interested in, you two started dating but soon you had to move to a new town starting a new school where you met another interesting sim whom you also started dating, but wait you never broke up with that other sim, oh well they won't ever find out so what's the issue? this is how you realized you didn't really care about the feelings of others and you only cared about fulfilling the hole where your heart should be.

As a teen start dating a sim but never talk to them again when you move to san Myshuno

never have a close relationship with your children and only visit them once they are born but never again after that

Gen 10- Granny(KUBZ SCOUTS/CORYXKENSHIN/DENIS DAILY)

You never knew any of your siblings or your parents mainly because you only lived with one and they were only interested in their next date rather than teaching you how to talk. Luckily you were naturally gifted from your parent you never met you assume because it sure wasn't your mother who was smart. You met a nice sim through a close friend after you were almost an adult. You and this sim fell in love and moved very quickly getting pregnant almost immediately after you got married and moved in together. Little did you know moving in with your spouse also meant moving in with their evil grandmother who would lock you in the basement every time your spouse left the house. sadly there was nothing you could do about her because of how much your spouse loved her. good thing she was already one foot in the grave.

send divorce papers and a note in the mail to your ex telling them what their grandmother did to you(use mc command center to divorce your sims)

never speak to your ex until the grandmother dies then marry them again

My final Bingo Board!

I wish I could have written something for Legends to complete the third line but I just didn’t have an idea I liked enough. I would have been writing just to hit that extra prompt and I didn’t want to write something crappy. I genuinely like every fic I produced for this. Some of them were a touch more rushed than I might have liked, but it’s been a super fun event to participate in. I wrote things I wouldn’t have considered otherwise and a few things I definitely would have.
