So found a new fast craft project that I love to bits right now, painted bottle caps! Been making them as accessories for my dolls' autumn outfits, but I'm certainly making one for myself to wear as well.

The round pin says "full of bean," the other one is like the Ty logo but a broken heart instead

[Canyon the Cougar beanie baby in a denim vest with a couple of pins next to a pack of bubblegum cigarettes]
A bad boy going out for a bubblegum break
This is the craft I did a few nights ago!! Little Beanie Baby vest out of a sleeve I cut off. The cuff is too big but if you have a chunk of denim I highly recommend it

Meet my clay-faced plushies!

I was inspired by Rattus Rattus on YouTube and the plushies they made and decided to make some of my own. These are thrift store/Walmart teddy bears that I sculpted and painted new faces for and made accessories for.
The first one I made is Candygram!

She has glass cabochons over her eyes and pink lace paw pads on her feet and a lace heart on her chest. She's a soft and sweet type of plush with a pastel aesthetic and a mellow expression.
Next up is Diablo!

Diablo started life as a teddy bear but was reborn as a rabbit. Since his face plate is smaller, I couldn't use glass and opted for Mod Podge Dimensional Magic. He wasn't given a hat, but makes up for it with his handmade set of ears, and he's the only one who gets to rock some chain. He fits more into my goth aesthetic, and he strikes me as themischievous type, but with a good heart.
Lastly, we have the conjoined twins, Glee and Gloom!

These little ladies have Dimensional Magic eyes as well, but theirs aren't indented like Diablo's. Because of that, Glee's purple eye smeared a little. They have a key and keyhole charm under their bowties and sport two adorable black-and-white hats. Gloom's tear has been topped with gloss varnish to make it glisten like water. Their colors are brighter than Candygram's, but they look like they hail from the same circus. I'll bet they're a comedy duo, where Gloom is the serious side to Glee's silliness.
That's all of them so far, but I'll definitely make more at some point! Let me know if you want tips for making your own! They're easier than you'd think!

Ugh ok so the first charm I baked was not really a success
That's ok, I expected that, bc Ive still no idea yet how to ensure they come out completely flat. As you can see, there is a weird warp in the middle. I immediately put a pan on top of it once I removed it from the oven so it's actually flatter than it was initially but it apparently didn't do enough. Kinda stumped ngl bc it's going to be even more difficult to ensure it comes out flat when I do larger pieces
Also I bought some mod podge dimensional magic stuff to put on top bc it had cute glitter in it but. It dried cloudy. Fuck me. I'm gonna try with just clear glittery nail polish next

So on the BG3 fan page I posted my photo with Neil on, some people were interested in how I made my Necromancy of Thay prop so I figured I would post the info there as well lol.
The base of my Necromancy of Thay was a big photo album I thrifted (was like $2.). I picked something with a plastic photo frame on the front that I could easily build over because I knew I wanted to add lights (and I could easily just tuck some in the plastic. Work smarter not harder 😂).
The biggest “amethyst” was a piece of a pop bottle I cut and formed, because I wanted the mouth the have the big orb look to it, and I have the lights for the mouth tucked around the edge of the mouth. The eyes are mainly the plastic from the album, but I tucked in some paper to diffuse the light, coloured it purple and added some Mod Podge dimensional magic.
The features were built with model magic (if you have a better foam clay, use that, but I have a crap ton of the stuff that I am determined to finish up.)
I then covered it in plastidip so it wouldn’t just absorb the paint, and it would mostly be one texture. After adding a base coat of a “fleshy” colour, I added more detail.
The purple lights are battery operated string lights I got at the art store during their Halloween sale last year lol. They are also strung along the inside edges of the book so the pages look like they’re glowing when it’s turned on.
Inside if it is basically a damn mess 😂 the pages are glued together so it still reads as a book in photos, then I hacked out a chunk of the inside to fit the battery pack.
Things I would change: sand the hell out of the cover to add more texture for materials to grip to. Can’t see it a whole lot in the picture with Neil, but after taking this thing to multiple conventions/renfaire it’s needs some repair. Some of the paint/plastidip is starting to lift because it didn’t have enough to group to. So there’s a couple of patches where it’s like, bubbling up almost. (That’s my own fault, it was a weird texture cover to begin with so I figured “good enough” lol nope)

finally tried that 'Dimensional Magic' Mod Podge, and let me tell you, it's a product i can highly recommend! it mimics the effect of using resin as a topcoat, and though it's not quite as strong as resin, it looks really good and is sturdy enough to use for keychains and such :] it's a good way to save yourself some resin money!

Can anyone tell me how to best preserve spotted lanternfly wings? My only supplies are a small jar with a lid I'm gonna use to preserve the wings on, Mod Podge Dimensional Magic because I can't tolerate resin fumes and don't have any anyway, rubbing alcohol, vinyl gloves, plastic tweezers that have textured tips, and an intact dead lanternfly that randomly died on my window.
I've never preserved a bug or removed the wings off of one (I just want the wings), so I have no idea what I'm doing. Searching the net just gave me instructions on how to pin them, mummify them, or soak the bugs in alcohol, but none of them were about lanternflies specifically and I know their wings are fairly delicate.
(Also I really fucking hate bugs even dead ones so any advice on how to not scream or puke as I handle it or remove the wings will be greatly appreciated.)

I figured it out!
So, the existing adhesive on these stickers isn't A+; it's weak enough that stuck to something like plastic, the mod podge doming media will cause the sticker to curl.
These are some of my distinct, most favorite stickers from the Imaginarium--one of five small sets--that I wanted to prepare as pins for my pin board. I started by mounting them (okay, sticking them) to a regular piece of paper, and then glazing them with hard finish mod podge on the front and the back.
Depending on the effect of the dimensional magic, I might stick the remaining sets to some cardstock. I don't want them curling, and even though I don't plan on moving them often, if ever, I may possibly some day, want to rearrange my pins. It's not out of the realm of possibility.
Speaking of cardstock versus regular paper, I'm still pondering doing at least one issue in colored pencil. I know I can't keep switching media, especially if it's obvious, but I'm just so curious if I could do an analogue medium better.

Here are some more of my homade shrink plastic pins. I've made a lot of new art as designs for pins and those are two of them: a robot and a tombstone.

Made myself a star drop fruit magnet for my fridge! I think it came out pretty cute.💜Also used it to test out some Mod Podge Dimensional Magic to get a slightly domed shape.

Two new clay-faced plushies!
I'm so happy to present Creature (he/it) and Powdered Sugar (she/they), my most monstrous plushies yet! Creature is easily one of my favorites. I just love big monster teef :3
Also, I'm going to tag @rattusrattus3 this time because they were the one that inspired me to start making these. (I didn't know they had a Tumblr when I mentioned them in my first post).

Creature has a lot of details, from the patches on its legs to the sculpted claws to the matching collar and top hat. The red "hug me" tag came with the original bear.
Powdered Sugar has a darling cyclops eye and bow-shaped earrings, an iridescent ruffle, and lots of pink juxtaposed against a harness made of decorative trim and buttons. Her eye is coated in Mod Podge Dimensional Magic like Glee and Gloom's from my first clay-faced plushie post.
Unlike my others, I didn't really make these two as clowns, though Powder's ruffle certainly takes inspiration from them. In case you missed them, my other plushies can be found here and here.

“It’s just a rash” or is it an inter dimensional virus???? Poor Abner. I love this sad lad and I knew once I got another action figure of him I absolutely HAD to make a glowing spotty version.
Question is: do I like my normal Abner repaint with the modified weaponized dots that light up? Or do I like this dirty, sad, bumpy and glowing one more? I like them both but I’m totally different ways!
Anyways, no way in hell was I going to figure out how to use string lights to make his skin glow so I used the next best thing. Some carefully placed Mod Podge Dimensional Magic and some assorted glow-in-the-dark pigment powders!

My Double Trouble Collection
So...I like to collect things. Especially things I’m obsessed with--in this case, Double Trouble. Some of these are things I’ve made, and others are things I bought from Redbubble, Etsy, and at an anime con I recently went to. Links will be provided for the things I bought.
This is part 1 of 2; both will be tagged as “double trouble collection”

Here’s a cute DT sticker from Redbubble on my makeup case. https://www.redbubble.com/i/sticker/Double-Trouble-by-Amadere/41883233.EJUG5

These are a couple magnets, also from Redbubble! They have these designs in sticker form, as well--I’m just running out of places for stickers.
Left: https://www.redbubble.com/i/magnet/She-Ra-Double-Trouble-by-ESkalecki/42324406.TBCTK
Right: https://www.redbubble.com/i/sticker/double-trouble-by-chadolbaegi/56725442.O9UDB (This is the sticker version--I wasn’t able to find the magnet on their profile this time. Not sure if I just missed it or if they removed that option.)

I got this sticker and badge at an anime con from https://www.fantasmshop.com/
Go check them out! They have loads of characters from all sorts of fandoms, and the art style is super cute! They have stickers, badges, and keychains. I’m in LOVE with how cute this DT is!!!

We’re going to cap this off with a shrinky dink keychain I made! I didn’t draw this myself--it’s from DT’s official character model sheet.
It didn’t turn out the greatest--the colored pencil got smudged in places, and the Mod Podge Dimensional Magic I was trying to put on the top WOULD NOT cooperate with me! I added, like, six layers to try to fix the missed spots and uneven texture, but it just wasn’t working. I took a picture of the back (the clear plastic side) so you wouldn’t have to see the mess on the other side.
That said, as messy as it is, it’s still mine, and I’m happy to have anything with DT’s face plastered on it.
(As a disclaimer, I do NOT recommend tracing for anything you plan to sell. This one was just for me, and I’m not trying to claim I drew it. I would never steal someone’s art for profit or try to take credit for something I didn’t do, and you shouldn’t either.)
