god the skunkblood talk brings me back. i despise cs now and was hoping to just put all of this behind me but the amount of people joining mantafins and not knowing about their previous species is just a bit upsetting to see.

i dont have screenshots for proof, it was years ago and all of these are just taken from my own experience but heres the things ive witnessed

skunkblood doesnt like non hq artists. if you were a non hq artist doing gift or event art of any of their characters you can guarantee that shit was never acknowledged or uploaded to their toyhouse profiles compared to a more high quality artist's art which was uploaded immediately. (friendly reminder alongside this to support your beginners artists!! we all started somewhere)

would constantly offer their species myos to people for their designs or money and then close the species after a week. i wish this was a over exaggeration. and no compensation was given unless brought up to them to which they would offer a 'equal value' myo from their new species. no refunds.

all species were and are cashgrabs. no exceptions. all of them were. once a species became dead and didnt make money it was sold to somebody else.

lied about having adopt money be for college also yeah. shit tons of dekudogs. i dont have too much hate for dekudogs if its like some big companys design and not a personal character or a really small fandom. but its more so just the fact they were sold as adopts and some of the buyers werent aware that they were dekudogs that irks me. at the very least let your buyers know the design is heavily inspired off a existing one. and if they make the decision to still buy even after that then thats their choice and its good that they are at least aware of it.

previous mods admitted to saying skunkblood would shit-talk peoples designs in modchat (no proof was given for this by the mods so so take this with a BIG grain of salt. feel free to post this anon ask without this part if it falls under serious accusations. i do feel bad throwing a accusation around like this with no personal proof of my own. all these ones above are things i experienced and saw but this one i didnt.)

i have wanted to speak about this in this blog for awhile but due to somewhat extreme paranoia and fear i have not. but im a bit too tired to consider the consequences of posting this right now so ill leave the freaking out and huge waves of paranoia ill get from this for the morning when im more conscious.

different anon but i also wanna share about the king panda, as someone who personally experienced it on unsupported msparp days

in addition to what that other anon said, there was in fact a text replacement aspect! swear words would be replaced with something cutesy (like shit = poop, i dont remember any of the exact ones), all of the text was written like 2008 lolrandom xd scene kid speech (you = u, to = 2, stuff like that) no matter what you typed, and im pretty sure it was trying to say fuck you that would change your text to complimenting the mods, something like that. it also changed your text color at random with every other line and most of the colors were hell on the eyes. you also couldnt evade king panda by just switching to some other character, it was effectively permanent. since unsupported msparp didnt have accounts im sure it was applied to your ip but at the time i was too scared to check by getting on an incognito tab bc i thought they might think i was trying to ban evade

the one time i got king panda'd, the only way out of it was to personally apologize to the mods within 24 hours of receiving your punishment or else you'd get permabanned, though i dont recall if this was via email or just in the modchat or something. i THINK the 24 hour counter only started when you actually got back onto parp after whatever it was you did to deserve a ban, as my bannable offense took place overnight and my king panda was in effect when i got on the next afternoon, but i didnt wait long enough to find out

its pretty hilarious in hindsight but at the time it was an extremely harrowing event for my 13 year old self

hmmmm mental health musings under the cut

i don't really know how to explain what i'm thinking about right now but here's a start: i have a history of getting really involved in a friendship and then eventually burning out and getting massively overwhelmed to the point where i draw back to recuperate, not realising how much that could hurt the other person

and i did something like that last year - from october - januaryish i was heavily involved in a friend's stream venture; modding their discord, helping curate a community, hyping up their work, etc; only to realise that i was getting burned out, drawing back, then actively avoiding those channels and conversations with my friend bc i felt so awful and guilty about not being as present as i was for the first four months.

and, admittedly, i realised i was doing this and made an effort to explain in modchat that i was having a hard time mentally and that i felt i needed to step down because i felt it wasn't a good look to have a mod that was never present (for the record, they were reluctant to let me go, but not because they'd miss my work, because they'd miss me), but then i just. stopped showing up, mostly. majority because i was (and am, still) feeling massively guilty for being a fucking human that has a hard time socializing on a large scale and for long periods of time like that. i'm starting to realise that the initial four months was probably hyperfixation. man, fuck, the ADHD hits just keep coming.

anyway. i'm only just now realising that. my friend doesn't seem to hold it against me; i just left a nice comment (and a silly one) on one of their instagram posts, and they replied saying they missed me, and that we should game again soon, and i'm just having a little crisis, i guess.

my brain works on the "out of sight out of mind" principle and i guess i just assumed that was the way everyone else's worked too? i mean. i miss people when they haven't been around for awhile, sure. but i didn't think it worked that way the other way around, when people are thinking about me.

and maybe that speaks more to a fundamental insecurity in me than it does anything else, i don't know. (the tone here is genuinely wondering, not self-pitying; i don't know how to phrase things lmao) anyway. it just made me smile that they still seem to like me and enjoy my company even though i'm flaky as shit and fuck off for a month with no warning, and then do it again.

i'll be working on that, for sure. gotta stamp a lot of brainshit out of existence first. but yeah.

So, I don't really know how to say this, so... just gonna come out with it.

Unfortunately myself and Mod Kaeya are no longer friends.

We have argued and things have changed between us, and it seems as though things won't go back to the way they were, which means I am unaware of what will happen to this joint account down the road. I do wish to continue writing for people and making posts as it's a good pass time. However, remaining on this account is simply too hard with all the reminders of the friend I no longer have.

Which leaves me with two choices, stop writing all together or leave this account and start a new account by myself. I haven't really decided yet where I wish to go on this, so it'll take some time. I hope you all can understand this, I will not take this tumblr down, and I assume Mod Kaeya will not either.

So you all can still read our old works with the comfort of knowing they won't be deleted off this platform, but as of this post, it'll be the last post I, Mod Diluc, will be making on this account.

If I do start a new tumblr I'll probably post one last post with the link to my new account, and maybe spice things up, I have watched many anime, and would love to broaden my writing to various other anime men, [I am still a whore for these men don't get me wrong just my hunger is insatiable and spans across several animes now too.......]

But again, time will tell, all I can say now is thank you for the journey of growing along side you all, your comments, notes and support always made me smile and gave me the energy to keep writing. And I'm sorry for letting you all down this way. Unfortunately though, this is goodbye, for now, maybe, or forever, I don't knownmyself yet.

We absolutely DO have to talk about the official art! Barok is shockingly gorgeous in all the key visual art. I'm scandalised by the thigh gap we see in the official concept art! And his boots!

I'm also upset that Capcom never showed us Barok in just his breeches, waistcoat, poet shirt and boots... I know we have that one drawing of him sat in chair in just his poet shirt but I'm such a hussy for men in waistcoats...

And as for that Jacket... I don't know what kind of mysterious material it's made from, but damn it makes him look good...
