What I wanna see in Asterix and the Middle Kingdom ( 2023 ) aka some theories/predictions of the upcoming movie ( IM SO EXCITED THAT ASTERIX FRANCHISE DECIDED TO SET ONE OF THEIR STORIES IN CHINA!! YAAAAYYYY!! )

. The Indomitable Gauls getting roped into a C R A Z Y Coup d'etat against thst rogue kinsman of Han Xuandi ( an actual historical Emperor of China in Han Dynasty ). This will be the first time they will be in an ACTUAL crazy warfare

. Some cultural shocks for the Gauls - like polygamous AND monogamous marriages are common in Ancient China, red is the color for weddings and white is for mourning etc. The Indomitable Gauls sometimes going ' These Chinese are crazy!'

. Ofc, Julius Caesar and Cleopatra are on a mission in China ( some kind of diplomatic/conquest scheme ). So imagine drama ensues when Ding Qing Qing ( the Big Bad of the upcoming movie ) is ACTUALLY ONE OF CLEOPATRA'S FORMER SUITORS ( she got a number of suitors from different demographics since she turned 16 before Caesar came into her life ).

. And when Cleopatra tells Caesar that ( after an uncomfortable meeting with Ding Qing Qing in person ), Caesar was all like ' Fuck this, let's flee China for the safety of my beloved Cleopatra. '

. AND THEN IMPEDIMENTIA, CLEOPATRA AND ONE OF IMPERIAL PRINCESS FU YI GETS KIDNAPPED BY DING QING QING'S FLEET IN THEIR SLEEP. AND ALL HELL BREAJS LOOSE.

. Luckily the 3 women managed to escape and spent DAYS finding their cohorts. Let's just say Vitalstatistix and Caesar are OVERJOYED when their wives reunited with them.

. HOUSEHOLD TREE MELODRAMA. Like Fu Yi has an ARMY of half siblings and one of them is YUANDI, THE FREAKING CROWN PRINCE AND HIS DAD'S HEIR ( yes Ancient Chinese Emperors have an army of wives, offsprings and grand offsprings )

. The Caesaric fleet's game plan changed after Cleopatra reunited with Caesar and they inadvertently formed qn alliance with Yuandi's fleet ( the Caesaric fleet never officially formed aj alliance with the Indomitable Gauls who joined Fu Yi's fleet, even tho both parties are fighting against Ding Qing Qing )

. Cleopatra being kidnapped ( yet escaped ) NEARLY SPARKED A GLOBAL SCALE WAR.

. Vitalstatistix and Caesar reminisced how they met, fell in love and married Impedimentia and Cleopatra respectively while they and their cohorts/fleets went on a several days mad hunt for their wives. ( awwww )

. Yeah and then Yuandi became the new Emperor of China after a Final Battle, Ding Qing Qing gets dragged back to Rome for a VERY gruesome public execution in CIRCUS Maximus....and rhe diplomatic relations between Roman Republic, Ptolemaic Egypt and Han Empire gradually recovered.

. Fu Yi, Yuandi and their Chinese cohorts trying their DANG hardest to restrain the Indomitable Gauls and the Caesaric fleet from clobbering each other ( given their tumultuous history with each other )

. CAESAR AND CLEO HAVING LOUD, STRESS RELIEVING MAKE OUT SESSION AND SEX ( off screen, kinda like when Caesar and Cleo made love off screen near the end of Mission Cleopatre ) RIGHT ABOVE DING QING QING'S DARK CELL ON THEIR SHIP BACK TO ROME TO TORTURE HIM.

. The whole plot be kinda have some allusions to Lion King. Basically the whole plot is kinda like those melodramatic Chinese wuxia/battle movies and TV shows except with Persians, Gauls, Romans and Egyptians in the mix. OH THE DRAMA.

. Meanwhile baby Caesarion was enjoying life in Palace of Alexandria, not entirely sure wtf is going on, as he waits for his parents to come back.
