Pendidikan Berdiferensiasi

Assalamualaikum, Salam Guru Penggerak!! saya Nurul Septiyani Ayu Purwanti Calon Guru Penggerak Angkatan 9 Kota Bandung Jawa Barat. Pada kesempatan kali ini saya akan menulis mengenai Jurnal Refleksi Dwi Mingguan Modul 2.1 mengenai Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi. Jurnal ini merupakan refleksi diri setelah menjalani kegiatan Pendidikan Calon Guru Penggerak selama dua minggu. Kegiatan Refleksi ini merupakan kegiatan rutin yang harus dilakukan oleh calon guru penggerak.

Dalam menulis Refleksi ini, saya menggunakan model 4F (Fact, Feeling, Findings, dan Future, yang diprakarsai oleh Dr. Roger Greenaway. 4F dapat diterjemahkan menjadi 4P yakni : Peristiwa; Perasaan; Pembelajaran; dan Penerapan.

Fact (Peristiwa).

Pada bagian modul 2.1, saya memulai perjalanan belajar tentang Memenuhi Kebutuhan Belajar Murid Melalui Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi. Langkah awalnya adalah memfokuskan pada pembelajaran mandiri dengan tema 'Mulai Dari Diri'. Disini, saya diajak untuk merenung pada pertanyaan kunci, yakni "Bagaimana guru dapat mengelola kelas dan memenuhi kebutuhan murid yang beragam?" Saya meresponsnya dengan refleksi pribadi, mencakup pemikiran seperti menggambarkan kelas dengan keragaman murid, strategi yang telah saya terapkan untuk mendukung perbedaan kemampuan murid, serta cara membuat pembelajaran lebih mudah bagi mereka. Saya juga mencoba mempertimbangkan perlakuan yang berbeda dan dampaknya jika saya tidak mengadopsinya.

Setelah fase 'Mulai Dari Diri', perjalanan belajar saya berlanjut ke 'Eksplorasi Konsep'. Di sini, saya mempelajari tiga pokok materi utama dari modul 2.1, yaitu Pengertian Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi, Miskonsepsi yang mungkin terjadi, dan Pemahaman terkait Kesiapan Belajar, Minat, serta Profil Belajar Murid.

Kemudian, saya berpartisipasi dalam kolaborasi bersama kelompok dalam sesi tatap maya yang dipimpin oleh fasilitator. Diskusi intens dilakukan dalam dua bagian ruang kolaborasi, baik saat berdiskusi dengan anggota kelompok maupun dalam menyikapi presentasi dari kelompok lain.

Setelah fase kolaborasi, saya kembali fokus pada tugas mandiri dalam 'Demonstrasi Kontekstual'. Di sini, saya berupaya untuk membuat Modul Ajar yang mengintegrasikan Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi, lalu mengimplementasikannya dalam mata pelajaran yang saya ampu, yakni Mata Pelajaran Matematika.

Langkah berikutnya adalah 'Elaborasi Pemahaman' bersama instruktur. Saya diberi tugas untuk merumuskan pertanyaan yang dapat memperkuat pemahaman saya tentang isi modul 2.1. Sesi ini memberikan pemahaman yang lebih dalam tentang praktik nyata pembelajaran berdiferensiasi yang seharusnya dilakukan oleh guru di kelas.

Setelah serangkaian kegiatan itu, saya melanjutkan dengan tugas 'Koneksi Antar Materi', mengaitkan konsep-konsep inti dari berbagai modul yang telah saya pelajari. Saya menjelaskan pemahaman saya tentang disiplin positif, teori kontrol, motivasi, hukuman dan penghargaan, serta keterkaitannya dengan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi dalam modul 2.1.

Akhirnya, pada fase 'Aksi Nyata', saya menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi sesuai dengan rencana yang saya buat dalam modul ajar. Pengalaman ini saya dokumentasikan dan bagikan pada platform pembelajaran (LMS).

2. Feeling (Perasaan)

Saya merasa sangat bersyukur atas pengetahuan baru yang sangat signifikan dalam menjalankan peran sebagai seorang guru. Modul 2.1 telah memberikan saya wawasan yang kaya tentang Pembelajaran Berdiferensiasi. Meskipun sebagian konsep telah saya terapkan sebelumnya, modul ini memberikan pemahaman yang mendalam dan memicu semangat saya untuk menerapkan seluruhnya. Diskusi dalam forum selama ruang kolaborasi serta proses elaborasi telah meningkatkan pemahaman saya mengenai implementasi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Saya berharap dengan pembelajaran ini, saya dapat konsisten dalam menghadirkan pendekatan yang berfokus pada kebutuhan murid.

3. Findings (Pembelajaran)

Pembelajaran berdiferensiasi adalah usaha guru untuk menyesuaikan proses pembelajaran di kelas agar cocok dengan kebutuhan belajar individual murid. Menurut Tomlinson (1999:14), dalam kelas yang menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, guru secara konsisten berupaya menanggapi kebutuhan belajar murid.

Untuk menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi, guru perlu mempertimbangkan hal-hal yang masuk akal, seperti tujuan pembelajaran yang jelas, cara guru merespons kebutuhan belajar murid, menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang memotivasi, manajemen kelas yang efektif, dan penilaian yang terus menerus.

Ada tiga aspek yang menggambarkan kebutuhan murid: kesiapan belajar, minat, dan profil belajar. Kesiapan belajar adalah kemampuan untuk memahami materi atau keterampilan baru. Minat adalah keadaan mental yang menghasilkan reaksi positif terhadap situasi atau objek tertentu yang memberikan kepuasan. Profil Belajar mengacu pada cara kita belajar secara efektif sebagai individu.

Terdapat tiga strategi diferensiasi, yaitu diferensiasi konten, proses, dan produk. Diferensiasi konten mencakup penyajian berbagai materi pembelajaran sesuai dengan kebutuhan murid. Diferensiasi proses menyesuaikan jalannya pembelajaran dengan gaya belajar masing-masing murid. Sedangkan diferensiasi produk mengacu pada hasil atau karya yang mencerminkan kemampuan murid.

4. Future (Penerapan)

Setelah menyelesaikan modul ini, rencananya saya akan melakukan evaluasi awal menggunakan pertanyaan yang sederhana, menganalisis data yang sudah ada, atau bahkan melakukan wawancara untuk memahami kebutuhan individual murid di kelas saya. Saya juga berencana untuk merancang serta menerapkan strategi pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Saya akan secara aktif berkolaborasi dengan sesama guru yang telah memiliki pengalaman dalam menerapkan pendekatan pembelajaran ini. Khususnya sebagai pengajar di SMK, saya berniat untuk lebih banyak bermitra dengan instruktur yang ahli dalam bidangnya untuk menyelaraskan materi yang diperlukan, memungkinkan kerjasama yang harmonis antara guru-guru. Tujuannya, saya ingin menyebarluaskan praktik terbaik saya sehingga orientasi pada kebutuhan murid dapat terwujud secara menyeluruh di lingkungan sekolah saya.

So I'm doing the math now on Bobbing, something I already did when he came out but never updated for his module, and I find Bobbing kind of fascinating? His S1 is seemingly tuned just right to have very specific breakpoints which depend on his potentials. Let me explain.

A pot 1 Bobbing at maximum level will have 486 ATK. His talent will inflict Burn damage equal to 16% of his ATK every second for the next five seconds after an enemy is first attacked. His S1 at M3 will deal 120% of his ATK as Burn damage. This added together makes for a rather simple number. 200%. You can consider an enemy attacked first by Bobbing's S1 to take, in total, 200% of his ATK as Burn damage.

That comes out 972 burn damage. Not enough to pop his burst. But, if you get him to Potential 4, he gets a 21 point increase to his ATK, pushing it to 507. This means he'll do 1,014 burn damage, enough to pop any non-boss enemy in one cycle.

I actually don't like this as design, it feels super intended. A Potential 4 Bobbing is a lot stronger than a Pot 1 Bobbing based on this simple set of numbers alone. Fortunately, when the module came out, things changed on that front. Just unlocking the module gives Bobbing +25 ATK, so now you don't need his ATK potential, and it increases the burn damage he does by 18% (!!??) to elites and bosses. Just this alone pushes the numbers to 1,022 and 1,205.96. Still nowhere close to popping a boss. A second S1 activation won't pop them either.

But let's upgrade the module further. This increases his ATK further to +35 ATK, and his talent buff to 18%, or 90% of his ATK in total, for 210% burn damage in this cycle. 521 ATK x 2.1 = 1,094.1, and that times 1.18 equals 1,291.038. If you add another S1 activation, increasing the total amount to 3.3x ATK, you get 1,719.3, or 2,028.774. You need Module level 3 to hit this breakpoint...or, if you haven't guessed.

486 + 25 + 21 = 532. 532 * (0.16 * 5 + 1.2 + 1.2) = 1,702.4 * 1.18 = 2,008.832

If you have a Potential 4 Bobbing, you can just skip the module upgrades entirely and stay at module level 1.

Granted, these are all just for skill 1, and truthfully, Bobbing isn't exactly meta breaking so I'm not sure anyone cares too much about any of this, but it's rare to find an operator so clearly defined by very gradual shifts to the numbers of their talents and stats.

It’s a surprise to me that the first post I’m making about my journey of creating an IF is about coding, especially when I enjoy the artistic side of such a project more.

Perhaps it’s because I’m trying to figure out how to use a database and backend for the thing I want to create. Let me explain: one of the features that has been both a blessing and a curse is the "Continue" button that tends to appear in every WIP.

This one, for example.

I utterly love and despise that button. I love it because it helps me decipher the coding behind the project and gain a better understanding of the story's branching. And yet, I hate it for the exact same reason.

What I want to achieve in my project is to eliminate the necessity of such a button. But how do I do that? I’ve been experimenting with creating a module that would allow the program to pre-load all the branches. Once the program compiles all the branches, it would deliver a cleaner text to the reader, effectively removing the need for the "Continue" button.

For example, let’s say we have the following branches:

1 Branch: “Today is a great day,” you thought, deciding to invite your $nameRO to: >The beach >More options" 2 Branch: “The beach is great, and $nameRO": 2.1 (if RO likes the beach): “loved the time.” 2.2 (if RO hates the beach): “hated the time.”

So, once these branches were processed in the module, it would look like this:

"The beach is great, and $nameRO loved the time.”

Rather than something like this:

"The beach is great, and $nameRO" Continue (bottom) "loved the time."

Of course, this is a simplistic example, but that’s what I wish to achieve.

There’s a big problem with this, and it’s mostly related to text flavor. Text flavor, as I intend to define it in this post, refers to variations of the text that tend to be no more than a few sentences and aren’t actually coded as a new branch. Such flavor text usualy can be seen with a simple if-sentence in the branche.

The coding in Twine and Dashingdon allows for if-statements inside the branches. However, the program I am planning to create treats everything as a string, as plain text, and can’t differentiate between what I intend to be a variable and what is just text. The program can't understand that, when I say $nameRO, I wish for that variable to be replaced by "Agustus" or the RO's name the player has chosen.

So yep, a lot of things to do. I have a rought idea on how to resolve such thing, but for now thats what I have.

WARNING: Before attempting anything, we suggest backing up your The Sims 3 folder somewhere safe, in case of irreversible actions. Backing up is performed by copying your The Sims 3 folder, and pasting it somewhere safe (Desktop, another drive, external drive, etc.). Carl's Tutorial on Backup & Restore.

1. Clearing cache in The Sims 3 folder.

Caches are temporary files and folders created by the game, which contain the information to help your game load faster. Their accumulation over the time can be attributed to slower loading times and/or gameplay. These files are regenerated each time the game is started, so it is absolutely safe and normal to delete them.

In the following post, we thoroughly explained which files and folders are cache, and can be deleted:

2. Essential mods for better gameplay

With the amount of official game packs, store and other custom content, a laggier & slower gameplay is inevitable. If you do not have a Mods folder, please refer to Carl's Guide on making Mods folder.

For a better performance and a long lasting save file, we're going to list absolutely necessary mods + what they do:

nraas - ErrorTrap - a core-mod intended to catch and correct data corruption errors that can render a save-game unloadable.

nraas - Overwatch - performs periodical clean up, usually around 3am in-game. Turns off unnecessary electronics, clears up inactive cars piling up, recovers missing Sims and wandering toddlers, checks stuck age-up problems and more.

nraas - MasterController - allows more advanced functions in-game. MasterController Cheats module is necessary for the ability to reset town in longer game sessions (City Hall > NRAAS > Master Controller > Town > Reset Everything). Action takes 5-10 minutes and resets every Sim and every object in town, contributes to resetting anything (or anyone) glitchy. We recommend once-a-Sim-week reset, and saving after such reset.

nraas - Register - allows the player to disable certain NPCs (service and role Sims) in the town. We suggest it for the ability to disable paparazzis, tourists, homeless Sims, stray animals, unicorns, wild horses, etc.

nraas - Traffic - ability to control (and reduce) the traffic (taxis, limos) and special trucks (Food truck, ice cream truck, pet ice cream truck).

nraas - Traveler - created in purpose of catching and correcting bugs and problems in EA's travel code. Allows the possibility of traveling between worlds players have installed.

nraas - Saver - a Saving prompt that comes up every 30 minutes by default. More explained in the Saving section below.

Mod The Sims - Smooth Patch 2.1 - created with intentions of smoother gameplay, less lag, shorter loading and smooth UI. IMPORTANT NOTE: SP versions 2.0 and up are NOT COMPATIBLE with NRAAS mods! For those who wish to use both, we recommend using SP versions 1.x with NRAAS mods + compatibility file provided by LazyDuchess.

Optional mods:

Mod The Sims - No (or fewer) automatic memories - Memories cause a huge amount of save-file bloat. There are three options to combat them: completely disabling memories in-game (below in in-game tips), using a flavor of this mod. Or using NRAAS Master Controller with Cheats (City Hall > NRAAS > Master Controller > Sim > Intermediate > Remove Memories).

Mod The Sims - simler90's Gameplay Core Mod - a core mod set to fix numerous in-game bugs. However, this mod IS NOT COMPATIBLE with several NRAAS mods such as: StoryProgression, GoHere, Traffic, Tagger, Careers, Traveler. To make CoreMOD work with NRAAS Overwatch, players need to follow (Step 4 of this guide) and properly edit the compatibility file.

3. Saving the game

Continuous use of the option Save over the same save-file (overwriting the data) quickly leads into file bloat and eventual corruption, and can help invoke ill-fated "error-code 12". Helping prevent these issues can be combatted by retorting to usage of Save As every often, and changing the save-file name. A way to do it is by writing (Town Name)(Household Name)(Number of save in order) - eg. Sunset Valley Smith 1. This also allows players to keep specific saves they deem important. nraas - Saver is a handy mod that prompts users to save the game under a new name every 30 minutes by default.

On another note - keeping the Saves folder (within TS3 folder) under 4GB is crucial for game performance. Our advice is to keep a minimum of saves in that folder. Others need to be transferred onto a hosting site, or an external device. All saves ending in .bad should be immediately deleted.

4. Cleaning save files

Cleaning save files is a step that should come after all of the previous ones. It's crucial to clean a file every now and then to rid it of unnecessary data, and prevent error-code 12 & 16 and/or corruption.

Mod The Sims - Regul Save Cleaner is currently the fastest, most reliable cleaner. After downloading it, unzip it and open the program. Within the program, open your Save file, check which boxes you wish to clean and click Clear. IMPORTANT NOTE: Back up your Saves before messing with any data within it. Step-by-Step cleaning is also described in step 10 of Steam Guide.

Another, albeit experimental, mean to clean your game using s3pe (from simlogical.com). This heavily detailed nraas - How to use S3PE to clean up your save-game guide shows you how to remove excess data piled by photographs, paintings, memories in-game. We repeat to back-up your save-files before doing anything to them.

5. In-game tweaks and settings

Settings and configurations in-game have a big impact on the gameplay. Depending on player's gaming system, tweaking their settings could speed up their performance. These can be found in game's menu (three dots) > Options. There are several tabs which have adjustable settings.

Graphics - this tab is meant for visual representation of the game. For faster, smoother playback, we recommend keeping the options to Medium (lower if the system can't handle it). Enabling Advanced Rendering, Enabling Animation Smoothing and High Detail Lots being set to a higher number can cause slower playback - adjust the boxes and number to your system's performance.

Sounds - audio options that entirely depend on the player.

General Settings - Things like edge scrolling, 12-hour clock and types of camera are player's choice. But we advise to disable shop mode, usage sharing, memories, lessons and Interactive Loading Screen. Latter can take up double-digit minutes of time in loading.

Game Options - in-game Sim & Pet autonomy and lifespans. All are player's choice.

Video Options - entirely dependent on the player and if they wish to capture anything in-game.

Music Options - list of in-game music.

Online - options to log in the game's website online and connect with other players. We recommend disabling online notifications and disabling Keep Me Logged In option.

Season & Environment - depending on which packs players have, this tab shows configurations for Seasons and Supernatural lunar cycle. The number of days per season can be changed, so can certain Seasons be disabled. Weather can be in Celsius or Fahrenheit. There are four types of weather offered - rain, hail, fog and snow. All but fog have a big impact on the game's performance, so players should disable them, or adjust them accordingly. Active Lunar cycle doesn't have much impact on the gameplay... except for those pesky Zombies during the Full Moon. That's why there's an ability to set the Lunar Cycle to one phase of player's choice, or keep it active per number of selected days.

Advanced Demographics Options - offer the ability to enable or disable built-in EA Story Porgression. Underneath that, depending on which packs player has, there are different categories to enable or disable. Vampires, Witches, Werewolves, Fairies, Pets, Horses and Celebrities. We recommend the player disables what they don't need in their current gameplay, or eventually everything if these Sim types are unneeded. Another option below is to Opt Active Household out of Celebrity System, which doesn't allow active household to gain celebrity points.

6. In-game tips & tricks

Many issues can also be combatted from the gameplay.

Frequent town reset with NRAAS Master Controller + Cheats,

Keeping less to no items in personal inventory + frequent clearing out of townies' inventory with NRAAS MC (City Hall > NRAAS > Master Controller > Town > Object Stats > Inventory).

With rewards like Collections Helper, Tears of Horus, it's best to keep their selector to None.

Items like Sultan's Tabernacle, Axe of Pangu and random relics are known to be stuck in inventory, and cause traveling issues. It's best to not purchase the items, or delete or sell them before traveling.

Speaking of travel, any trip to World Adventure countries, the Future or any other world with twallan's Traveler, it's best to pack light! Less to no items in personal inventory that could cause corruption.

Should your Sim visit a WA country once and never go back - you could remove the .nhd file, remembering you'll lose everything you had related to that country (relationships, etc) - back-up your save before doing this.

Gameplays should not last longer than a couple of hours. After at least two hours, it's time to save as, then quit. Clear your cache, remove unnecessary save files and leave the last one in. Restart the game.

Never go from one save into main menu and then open another save. This is a fertile ground for memory leak and early corruption.

Clearing saved Styles and Presets should also be done for faster loading of CAS/CASt, but back-up your previous files before this.

Regularly check and remove/uninstall custom content you don't need anymore.

Regularly re-download mods and replace them in the Mods folder, in case of possible corruption.

Move your Saved Sims from same-named folder to somewhere safe, then delete the originals.

Captured media (screenshots, videos) should be removed from their respective files to somewhere safe often.

Too much custom music can slow down the game. Files should be in .mp3, no more than 320kbps and in limited amount.

Save files and content files from Downloads folder should be backed up on external drives and cleared from The Sims 3 folder.

Some tips taken from nraas - TIPS FOR BETTER GAME PERFORMANCE, but we recommend reading it all through - they connect The Sims 3 folder, in-game options, your device options and how your device can be affected to cause problematic gameplay.

This is something I wrote for the Twinception mod page, as it is easily the largest/most conflict intensive mod I've uploaded, but I'm reposting it here separately as it's good general information for organizing your Origins/DA2 mods and resolving conflicts between two override mods with overlapping files.

(n.b. it doesn't get into the additional load order complexities that come into effect with addin modules, subfolders vs loose files, and packaged files vs loose files)

Manipulating load order to resolve mod conflicts

The easiest way to manipulate load order of your mods is by taking advantage of the way the game loads mods in alphabetical order.

Say I open packages\core\override and create a number of subfolders within and name them as follows:

A. Lower priority mods

B. Twinception

C. Higher priority mods

D. Compatibility patches

It doesn't matter exactly how the folders are named so long as they will load in a particular order, which I believe is ASCII order, so 0-9 A-Z a-z. Personally, I number mine 1., 2., 2.1., 3. etc.

By installing particular mods in particular folders, you can easily control which mod will take precedence in the game. If a mod in folder A and a mod in folder B contain the same file, the version of the file in folder B will "overwrite" the file in folder A, and that will be the version that takes effect in game. A third version of the same file in folder D will take precedence over both mods.

Guru dapat mengelola kelas dan memenuhi kebutuhan belajar murid-murid yang berbeda-beda dengan menerapkan pembelajaran berdiferensiasi. Langkah-langkah yang dapat diambil meliputi:

Yang telah saya lakukan untuk melayani kemampuan murid yang berbeda adalah mencoba mencari tau kebutuhan murid dengan karakteristik yang berbeda-beda. Supaya proses pembelajaran menjadi lebih mudah, maka saya mencoba memberikan pembelajaran sesuai dengan gaya belajar murid. Perlakuan yang diberikan pun berbeda sesuai gaya belajarnya, ada yang visual, adayang audio - visual, dan ada yang visual - kinestetik. Jadi, setiap murid diberikan instrumen LK (lembar Kerja) secara berkelompok yang berbeda sesuai dengan gaya belajarnya masing-masing. Dampak yang dirasakan adalah murid lebih terlihat senang ketika proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung. Murid menjadi lebih memahami materi yang diberikan, karena sesuai dengan gaya mereka belajar.

Tantangan yang dihadapi dalam proses pembelajaran di kelas yang disebabkan oleh keragaman murid adalah sugesti murid terhadap materi yang saya sampaikan, kebetulan saya mengajar matematika, semuapun tau bahwa murid kebanyakan sangat takut dengan malas ketika bertemu dengan mata pelajaran matematika. Selain itu adalah, keberagaman cara belajar murid dalam kelas, ada anak yang senang ketika melihat pembelajaran menampilkan visual, ada juga yang belajar nya tidak mau diam sambil kesana kemari, ada juga yang belajarnya harus sambil medengarkan musik.

Tindakan yang telah saya lakukan untuk mengatasi tantangan tersebut adalah dengan memberikan pembelajaran yang menyenangkan, salah satunya adalah belajar sambil bermain, sesekali memberikan permainan ketika pembelajaran. Supaya pembelajaran menjadi lebih menyenangkan. Sedangkan untuk menangani keberagaman murid tersebut, saya sudah mencoba untuk memisahkan per kelompok sesuai dengan gaya belajarnya masing-masing dan saya buat LK(Lembar Kerja) ketika pembelajaran sesuai dengan gaya belajarnya.
