Stop I just heard about what ginge has been doing to madame joyce *its on her insta* like idc if people aren’t the biggest fan of her what he’s doing is straight up harassment and bullying wth :(

Right, not finding anything on her Insta that he's commented on, but he does follow her so it's a little bit weird to be hating n slandering her whilst also following her?? Right, also doing a TikTok scan...

OKAY, so err... yeah he's REALLY got her name in his mouth.

As I've said, I haven't watched this locked in SZN but I sorta know that Joyce is a bit annoying, and the audience absolutely despises her. They think she's annoying, "UK beast", jarring... Yeah, she's receiving a little bit of what's known as ONLINE FUCKING BULLYING because people don't vibe w her.

In a way it's sorta valid; if you dislike someone you're mean to them. But holy shit, them way the audience is so rude to her, like, sending emails, DMs, comenting on her posts... No, it's just bullying which I don't rly support towards (almost) anyone :/

Especially when it's someone with a large platform, using their audience to direct hate at someone w/ less followers to defend them; ergo, the introduction of AngryGinge13.

Ginge is setting her up for so much more failure as well, because if he's genuinely "orchestrated" (~Madame Joyce's TikTok) that police phone call w one of his mates, faking that the Manchester Police called him on charges of assault (to Joyce) I might start genuinely disliking Ginge.

Realistically - throwing a crumpet at someone is assault.

An assault is by definition, a "physical attack"- sure- throwing a crumpet isn't all that serious but if Ginge has done that with malicious intent and/or with a lot of force, it does class as aggression, ergo violence and furthermore can be classed under assault (though it is a grey area bc it can also be argued against...)

Thing is that, I feel as though nobody is taking it serious (for Joyce) because that word ("assault") isn't necessarily thrown around, but you hear it used quite a bit (especially with a rise in feminist culture with female adolescents) which other adolescent boys/men scorn and frown upon because they simply see "assault" used as a hyperbole or over exaggeration. I mean, these boys/men/manchildren show it when they mock or demean "sexual harassment", seeing it as all one big attention grab and lie that women make-up to make a situation sound worse- because they DO NOT REALISE, that certain actions do class as sexual harassment... they just choose to ignore this, because they are typically not sexually harassed and thus cannot vouch for what sexual harassment looks like and have no real idea of the frequency of it, the emotions it makes people feel, what it looks like... And due to that lack of empathy, boys/men/manchildren look at women who say that they have been "assaulted" or "sexually harassed" and see it as one big, unserious thing women blow out of proportion, because they're hysterical! sensitive! snowflakes!

It's so infuriating because I know damn well that people don't take Joyce's narrative serious because they're holding prejudices of her being annoying and thus using that as a reason to not believe her or instil any sort of empathy or sympathy towards her because they cannot get over petty, parasocial grudges (i.e. her being "annoying") and look at the moral reality of a situation. Plus, the usage of the word "assault" (on Joyce's IG story to describe Ginge throwing/forcing down her throat, a crumpet [narrative isn't clear, Ginge n Joyce say diff things]) is just being looked over or considered unserious by the audience which is of course mainly insensitive adolescent boys who believe that is just an attention seeking word for women to use. And I feel like Ginge fully knows the connotations of that diction, and he's used it to demonise Joyce even more by creating a sense of "look at this woman misuse the word assault and try and demonise ME, let's all hate on her for being such a bitch!", which is engaging these manchildren in a way that makes them feel validated for hating on Joyce and further adds more fuel to the hate Joyce train!

I really liked Ginge and all but bloody Hell, he needs to patten up and realise how horrid it is that he's using his platform to send stupid amounts of hate to a women all because he finds her annoying.

I hope that's made sense asw bc I know it's a little bit waffly/contextual and feminist waffle-y...

Just know that I'm struggling to support angryginge atm esp when he's just conducting stupid hate trains like this one which'll probably be irrelevant and discontinued by the end of the month, yet it'll have probably long-lasting effects on Joyce for many more months, whereby she'll still be called "UK beast" and "jarring" and all that just because Ginge decided to use his platform to demonise the fuck out of Joyce over what was likely a pretty agreement

and of course i thought about how lilah wasn’t truly happy, and the majority of what she did for W&H was for her sick mom in the hospital. but then i started thinking further, and... what do we actually know about lilah? does ATS go into her backstory at all?? i feel like i know next to nothing about her, outside of when we see her on screen. lilah appears in 36 ATS episodes, 10 more episodes than all of faith’s buffyverse appearances. and faith is known for not wanting to open up or talk about herself, yet both shows give us a treasure trove of backstory for her. but for lilah it’s like -- she’s an evil lawyer, her salary pays for her mom’s treatment... *crickets*

Also, on the ginge and jocye situation, i have seen kaci talk about how he has only thrown a crumpet at her and not showed it down her throat? So i get why she is upset, but then again the challenge was to get them out however he pleases and the producers have told him such, i am much more uspet about the 2k in the suitcase, or him literally throwing corn at a guy who cant stand it, that to me seems so much worse but i havent heard any of them talking bad about him or even ten when he was so close to touching her with gum

I have genuinely watched all the episodes, and im not trying to defend him nor claim joyce is doing it for fame or tell her how to feel but from my perspective it does kinda feel forced

Yeah deffo could be quite forced from Joyce asw, i could understand that perspective

Like said, I haven't watched all the episodes and you're point seems quite consistent because despite the Joyce-crumpet-situation blowing up I haven't heard anything about a 2k in a bag or corn being thrown at a guy who cant stand it

And yeah, I suppose it is quite important also to remember that everything we've seen has ben cut, edited and produced by footalsyum, meaning any opinions we have are influenced by how they edited/executed any challenges, and that everything that we've seen is because of what Footasylum have set the house to do and in this case, told Ginge what to do.

So yeah, I do sympathise w Joyce bc I feel like Ginge is running a hate train on her, but I also don't disagree with you because Joyce has deffo been beefing up the situation having left the house (probs to stay relevant)
