Hej, na pewno słyszeliście o ostatnich akcjach z wirusami i szkodliwymi oprogramowaniami, które można nieświadomie pobrać, ściągając CC i mody.

Mody/CC (wirusy) te kradną nasze hasła do kont (nawet bankowych!) i inne ważne osobiste dane!

Słyszeliście też może o modzie ModGuard: Mod Malware Protection od TwistedMexi:

ModGuard blokuje typowe wektory wirusów, śledzi plik moda, który próbował go pobrać, powiadamia Cię i udostępnia nazwę moda naszemu zespołowi, aby konta modderów mogły zostać powiadomione tak szybko, jak to możliwe.

Niestety mod jest tylko w j. angielskim, a dodatkowo nie jestem w stanie go przetłumaczyć, bo twórca nie wyodrębnił tekstu do tłumaczenia z pliku .script 😕

Dlatego poprosiłam go, aby zaktualizował moda tak, aby dało się go przetłumaczyć. No, ale jednak nie wydaje mi się, żeby rozważył/zauważył moja prośbę, jeśli mam być szczera 🫠

Anyway, nawet jeśli w końcu nie będę w stanie zrobić do niego tłumaczenia to i tak polecam pobrać ten mod!

Recently different mods were uploaded/updated under fake accounts or through hacking existing accounts of trusted creators, that have been infected with malware. The malware hides in the scripted package of the script mods, it downloads and run an unknown exe file silently without the user knowing. Because it's an exe file, Mac and Linux users might be exempted for now. The goal of the virus is to steal a vast amount of your data and saved passwords. SIMS 4 MOD MALWARE

This isn't what I usually post about, but theres been malware from sims 4 mods. Specifiallly from mods hosted onCurseforge, TheSimsResource, and ModTheSims. It's a lot like the Minecraft Fractureiser virus. The downloaded mod's contain .EXE files that steal personal data and harm computers. The current known infected mods:

TS4 Malware via .TS4SCRIPT mods

Hi everyone, I figured I would make a post about this just in case anyone who follows me has not yet been made aware of the malware issues happening currently in the Sims 4 modding community. 

Several days ago malware was discovered within a few mods that would silently steal info from your computer such as passwords and private information. This malware was then found to be in many other mods, as early as August 2023. It appears to mostly affect script (.ts4SCRIPT files), but be wary of .package files as well. В данный момент часто стали появляться моды на симс, а на сегодняшний момент и декоративные моды (сс-контент), содержащие в себе вирусы или вредоносное ПО. Их распространяют либо совсем недавно созданные аккаунты, либо аккаунты под чужими никнеймами известных авторов, но тех, которые давно ушли из сферы креаторства, либо через взломанные аккаунты авторов модов и сс.

Вред данных модов в том, что в их скрипт вшито ПО, которое может выкачивать ваши данные из компьютера (логины и пароли от аккаунтов в браузере, в мессенджерах; данные банковских карт, виртуальных кошельков и т.д.), а так же причинять другой вред вашему ПК. (Из одного источника узнала, что они безвредны для Linux и MacOS, однако вызывают ошибку Last Exception)

На данный момент заражены моды:

Появляются все новые и новые зараженные моды, поэтому рекомендую вам воздержаться от скачивания новых модов и сс, т.к. это не безопасно в данный момент

Однако сейчас можно проверить на вредоносность ваших модов и сс. Об этом следующие пункты:

Чтобы быстро проверить, подверглись ли вы взлому, нажмите Windows + R на клавиатуре, чтобы открыть окно "Выполнить". Введите в строку %AppData%/Microsoft/Internet Explorer/UserData и нажмите OK. В результате откроется папка, которую использовала вредоносная программа. Если в этой папке есть файл Updater.exe, то вы, к сожалению, стали жертвой вредоносной программы. На данный момент неизвестно, есть ли у вредоносной программы какая-либо функция, позволяющая удалить этот файл впоследствии, чтобы замести следы.

Чтобы быстро удалить вредоносную программу с вашего компьютера, Overwolf подготовил программу удалению вируса. Эта программа должна работать, даже если вы загрузили вредоносную программу не с CurseForge. Загрузите файл SimsVirusCleaner.exe с их страницы на github здесь и запустите его. После завершения работы программа выдаст вам сообщение о том, были ли удалены какие-либо файлы.

Если вы стали жертвой вредоносного ПО, незамедлительно меняйте пароли и включайте двухфакторную аутентификацию (2FA)

Повторюсь еще раз, воздержитесь от скачивания новых модов и сс, т.к. шанс того, что вы можете скачать скрипт с вредоносным ПО, очень велик. Даже если это популярный и известный автор, его аккаунт может быть взломан!

anyway one of the sale games I got was Bore Blasters, a little uhh, something, by the guy that made Void Scrappers, a survivors game with a shmup flavor with a focus on very high speed rather then the crawling pace of normal survivors games

looking at the trailer I'm sure you can see Why I got it; dwarf game. You fly around and shoot little blocks that are clearly more valuable then the blocks surrounding them and they shatter and fly into you and basically it's dopamine, I was expecting another survivors like more or less. I'm sure I was also cluing in on the fact that you are surrounded by terrain at all times and this shakes up the survivors game model in a fairly unique way but I mostly liked void scrappers, saw that their next game was Dwarf Game, and gave a pity wishlist. Wasn't expecting much. But what I got was an almost like, "campaign mode" survivors game with elements of motherlode, that old flash game that has been oddly influential on indie games I suspect.

basically you start at the top in your gyrocopter and go down, at the bottom is a big chest, opening it ends the level and unlocks a new upgrade (there's loads of them by the way, and only a few of them are generic stat upgrades). It goes to the world map and all of the adjacent locked levels open up and you can go along. Many stages have a side quest that relays a basic little plot about (space) dwarves v (space) goblins like nearly every other dwarf game. Stages closer to the edge of the map are deeper, have more enemies and your fuel and health gauges become a more pressing concern. Cash from the ores you dig up is used to upgrade your boat in a survivors like fashion (though it being a more major aspect of the game it doesn't feel like nearly as much of a chore). Another additional benefit is that this means stages do not last 30 minutes, enforced, which I love, because a survivors like stage run can last almost an hour after you spend all the time in the menus picking shit. Bore Blasters gets in and out pretty quick, and it's much easier to enjoy in small bursts, which is great because I feel like survivors games really lend themselves to that sort've thing, but many of them demand such a huge grind that those single runs don't really feel like much. Bore blasters feels a lot better tuned, to me.

I was expecting to play the game for like an hour before I moved on to other stuff and I played it for almost four times that, well after the dopamine hit wore off. Honestly I think it might be one of the first larger offshoots of survivors games that we've seen, given the terrain blocks your shots, but does not block enemy movement. In hectic situations reacting quickly to enemies coming out of the walls is important, and it spices up the combat in an honestly pretty compelling way (for a survivors game, that is). I wish more of them weren't just hitbox monsters but like honestly a really solid game from a dev that has basically no reputation, it's not a huge groundbreaking release but it's solid and I think it shows a good handle on what is enjoyable in these little top down monster blasting sims, removes a lot of the cruft from the initial genre (like the other major genre variant, brotato), and adds a bit of extra onto it, I was really impressed.

Hello! I made a list of most of the things in The Sims 4 that were introduced but then abandoned, unfinished features and removed features. If you have something else to add, don't hesitate to leave a comment! So, let's get started to this really extensive list!

Stuff Packs Introduced in The Sims 2, Stuff Packs were made to give players new Build/Buy and CAS content without the need of an expansion and half the price of it. In The Sims 4, they were 1/4 of the price of an expansion, but also brought new gameplay experiences, like new interactive objects, new skills, new careers. The last Stuff Pack released was Paranormal, in January 2021, and EA never said if they are officially discontinued or if we'll get any other stuff pack.

Gameplay Kits EA introduced Kits in 2021, as a new type of paid content, being half the price of a Stuff Pack and focused in a single aspect: gameplay, CAS or Build/Buy. Bust The Dust was the only gameplay kit ever released. Seems like these were abandoned due to budget limitations, as you can't make much of a gameplay for a so low-priced DLC. Also, BTD release was a mess, there were several bugs on it and there are some that still persist nowadays.

Achievements The game has some achievements for the player, which are based in their current save. Achievements are unlocked when you reach specific goals (Career, Player Feats, Sim Feats, Relationships, Skills and Crafting, Wealth and Collecting). If you play on console, achievements are disabled if you use some cheats, like testingcheats and motherlode, because they count to their trophy/game achievements system. Most of them are from base game, and a few were sporadically added with packs, with the last achievement being from Seasons.

Handedness Sims are randomly assigned as left-handed or right-handed, but only few interactions (eating, drinking, holding some objects) respect the Sim's dominant hand.

Auto-save feature In The Sims 4 release, the game came with an auto-save feature, that often made a save state of your current save. The main drawback of it was that you couldn't customize it, like setting the period of each save. It also only saved in specific situations (creating a new game, when you made a manual save, exiting the game without saving and going to main menu without saving) and it didn't load on the Resume button, you had to manually choose it. They removed the feature in 2017, saying that "it didn't work as intended" but they didn't even tried to improve it

Snowy Escape removed content During Snowy Escape early access, some Korean players complained to EA about the "Bow at Shrine" interaction and some clothes that had Japan's imperial flag, since these were offensive to them due to the period Korea was over Japan's domain. These things were removed, although the interaction is still in the game's files and can be enabled by using a mod. There was also a new roof trim available in the early access, but it was removed due to alleged "technical issues".

In-game events The Sims 4 had many in-game limited time events, where you had to accomplish some goals to receive a reward, mostly special objects. There was even a hostess for these events, called Jasmine Holiday. There was also an event where a Sim version of Millie Bobby Brown was in this role.

Sims Sessions (as an in-game event) They kinda resurrected in-game events with Sims Sessions in 2021, where Sims of real-life artists made a presentation in-game in special venues, with some objects and clothing made for this event. It only happened once, and now this name is used for a YouTube series where artists show the making of their songs in Simlish.

Lifestyles These were introduced with Snowy Escape. Sims can gain lifestyles after doing some specific interactions along their routine. When a lifestyle is unlocked, these might have skill boosts, moodlet boosts, career performance boosts or even unlock special interactions related to the activities on the lifestyle. Your Sim is only allowed to have 3 lifestyles simultaneously and some of them are incompatible. No new lifestyles were introduced after that, although Growing Together's Social Compatibility is also affected by the lifestyles your Sims might have.

Pack refreshes After doing some surveys about introducing new features to already released content, EA introduced pack refreshes in 2021. The only pack that had it was Spa Day, with new interactions, new CAS content, new aspirations and a new trait. When people asked producers about new refreshes, the gurus refused to say anything about them.

Curved walls Introduced in the patch prior to High School Years, curved walls were a highly requested feature for builders, but poorly executed. Only a few specific windows and doors are compatible with curved walls, there's a bug with placing curved walls over other surfaces which causes the distortion of the surface under the wall, the object placement inside curved rooms is broken and the camera bounces if you do a curved room above the ground level. Additionally, no curved windows and doors were released besides the ones in High School Years.

The Sims 4 Gallery official app for mobile phones in this app, you could see and favorite created content, send them to download in your game and follow your favorite creators. The app was discontinued and removed from the app stores in 2017.

Scenarios (likely) Added as a way to give more challenge to the game, scenarios make the player accomplish some goals, in change of aspiration points, traits or unlockable assets. Some scenarios have a time limit to be finished, or you'll fail on them. Most scenarios are permanent, but there were some that were available to start for some real-life time and then vanished. EA even made a Main Menu overhaul to give more space to scenarios and even overhauled some of them, adding/adjusting difficulty levels and allowed some of them to be played with already played households. No new scenarios were introduced in 2023.

SDX (Sims Delivery Express) [likely] These were introduced as a way to add small contents to game without needing to do a full update for it, like new objects, new foods, new CAS content and small bug fixes. They were stored in the user's game folder. All these contents would later be introduced definitely in the game files with the subsequent game patches. No new SDXs were introduced in 2023, although the April 18th patch had content that were internally labeled as SDX contents.

Naked interactions for teens With Get Together, it was introduced the "Get Naked" interaction, alongside with skinny-dipping. Teens were enabled to do these interactions, but after a year or so EA quietly removed it from the game.

My Wedding Stories unfinished content We all know that My Wedding Stories' release was a hot mess. Several bugs, delayed release, issues with LGBT+ content in Russia... This pack development was so rushed that some features were left unfinished. You can ask for your valentine's parents for their blessing for marriage, but the game gives no moodlets related to them. A modder found that Maxis made the icons for the moodlets, but not the moodlets themselves. There is also a cross-pack feature with Cats and Dogs, where you can pick your dog as a flower pal, but it's only available using cheats or a mod to permanently unlock it.

Whims vs. Wants EA replaced whims with wants, and also introduced the fears system. The main issue is that cross-pack whims were not converted to wants, and the fears system seems to be very broken, being assigned to your Sim randomly and even repeating after solving it.

PlantSims These were released in The Sims 4 as part of one of those in-game limited time events, with some special powers related to gardening, Water motive instead of Bladder and their Hunger need can be fulfilled by sunlight exposure. They were also reused in a game scenario called Plant-A-Sim. Although they exist in game, they are not treated as proper occults, being labeled by the game as "temporary states", since their existence is basically a moodlet. Occult players begged EA to turn them into proper occults, but nothng was made.

Things Maxis said that would take time, but none/few updates were given:

Townie overhaul Maxis said that they would overhaul all the townies from the game, from Base Game to Cottage Living, giving them appearances with fidelity to their ethnics and proper lore around them. The only household which received a overhaul were The Goths, and no other was released after that.

Pronouns After many months speaking about them, the custom pronoun feature was introduced only in English, with no expected release for more languages.

Can you save Grandma’s home from her ex’s fiery revenge in time? Basegame Only, PC-And-Console-Friendly, Room-By-Room Renovation and Redecoration gameplay challenge inspired by popular mobile games like Lily’s Garden and Homescapes.

Your grandma was getting a little tired of her style, and your parents were getting tired of you living in their basement. The perfect solution? Move in with her for a few months and help her revamp her massive Mediterranean mansion, and maybe get your life together. Upon arrival, you notice things feel a little off, and the smell of smoke lingers in the air. Despite locked doors and nosey neighbors, her revenge-driven ex had broken in. He’d never forgiven her for moving away to study art, and saw this as the perfect chance to get even before they both died. Dark, sure, but so is stealing an old lady’s lifetime collection of art and valuables. He burned anything he couldn’t move, and now the home is lost. . . or is it? Can you find a way to restore and redecorate the home before time runs out?

Rules:

Start with one elder Sim, one young adult Sim, and $500. Set lifespan to long if playing with the save file, or normal if playing from the gallery. There is already a family in the save file and on the gallery, but you can use whoever you want as long as they are an elder grandparent/young adult grandchild. For gallery users, to place the household I made search for Maria and Elisa on the gallery.

Grandma’s Pension Alternative Rule: if you are new to challenges, and want a bit of an easier version, you can enact Grandma’s Pension. Every Tuesday, use ctrl+shift+c on pc or hold down the four shoulder buttons on console to bring up the cheat menu, type rosebud, and hit enter. This 1k pension will help you complete the challenge.

You may work through the Rooms in any order, but you must complete each one before moving on to the next. If you start in the kitchen, you must finish the kitchen before moving on to the dining room.

A Room is considered complete when all the mess is cleaned, appliances repaired, furniture restored or replaced, and at least 5 new decorative items are placed. Anything in the Decorations section of the build menu counts. These can be bought in build/buy, scavenged, gifts, or be created by your Sims. Once you restore an item, you can replace it with a new version of the same item (couch for couch, skill for skill, clutter for clutter), but the whole Room must be cleaned and restored before adding any new items (furniture, decor, wallpaper, etc). What counts as a Room? Any space separated by a door or arch, with a few exceptions. Bathrooms, short halls, and closets are counted as part of whatever room they are attached to. The pantry counts as part of the kitchen, and the entryway counts as part of the main hall. These exceptions are to make the game more evenly challenging across all floors and spaces. For each floor you complete, you can add one lot trait of your choosing. Once you complete a floor, you can remodel it and sell the original items and not have to replace them with the same item type. The front patios and garden space count as part of the first floor, and the pool area counts as part of the main floor.

You can earn money in any way except for grandma having a job and cheats. You can lie, cheat, and steal in-game (or get a job, sell collectables, paint, etc), but no game command cheats like rosebud and motherlode (except for the Grandma’s Pension rule). You can remove the Off the Grid lot trait whenever you want, but be aware you will be paying more in bills!

You must pay bills and keep the repo man away! If you do lose an item to the repo man, use this [link] to see a map of each room. You must replace that item in order for the room to count as complete.

You can marry, adopt pets, have kids, start clubs, etc.

If you play on console or otherwise cannot use the save file, please note that the house will not place with burned items. This is why you have to play with normal lifespan, but follow all other rules. It makes things a little more even without any confusing handicaps.

The challenge is won when you have restored and redecorated the home, the lot challenge is removed, and grandma is alive. You may use any in-game method to keep her going, including bringing her back from the dead, but no mods or cheats. Same hashtag if you want to share it on Instagram, tumblr, etc. No pack or CC limits for renovations, as long as you follow the rules above.
