So she’s got the little dress and the hood, but the edges are tattered and she’s got insane costume makeup on

She probably feels bad about it for a few weeks after that and vows never to touch a wolf costume ever again

When she shows up for the festival, no one actually knows it’s her because she’s covered head-to-toe

For Fake Peppino (and the war clones) I think Pizzahead couldn't be bothered to directly get a source of good human DNA from Peppino himself, so the next best thing to mix together with pizza dough would be frog as a filler! And just modify them from there. Which would explain the weird frog like qualities they all have. But this is something basically everyone thinks already.

Now for Bruno, I bring Pizzabro into existence. Being that I think he's a little more on the organized/smarter side yet still just as unethical as his brother, he decided to take a crack at making a clone himself. Bruno as a person did exist already as the former owner of the pizzeria Fake Peppino resides in. But Pizzabro essentially murders the guy and uses him as the entire source of human DNA, thus resulting in a far more stable dough clone. However! He was still made using frog filler to complete the process! He absolutely despises it.

He originally had the intention of being Peppino but decided he was "everything better and more" than him. Then shaped himself into the cartoon mascot in the pizzeria and took Bruno's name as his own.

He and Fake Peppino are constantly at each other's throats. Bruno, cocky, on his high horse of being everything better than he could be, and Fake Peppino, lashing back knowing everything he hides about himself to appear more human, that one way or another he's still like him too. As for smaller details, whereas Fep's "clothes" are entirely his body, Bruno's coat and hat are the only real clothes he has. His entire bottom half is colored black. ↓

Surprise! He actually has a little frog tail. He hides it under his uniform. Bruno also can't shapeshift as freely as Fep can. Because he spent so long molding his form as the mascot it puts extra strain on him to do anything else intensive. He'd be unstable for a while afterwards. I think after the tower's collapse they'd gradually try to make amends after they both come to terms with themselves (Fep knowing that he can't be The Peppino and Bruno just accepting he's also a freak) That's all I can think of rn !!

sorry for the cringe ask pls ignore if you want but with these chapters of the todofam do yuo think it is like "wrong" to not see anything poetic/pretty/anything like that about the family and mostly touya and endeavor situation? ive seen all these texts (not here though) abt how touya loves his father and is a Liar™ while also ignoring most of what he went through and his feelings of anger and bitterness i mean... sure there is/was love behind the hurt but i feel like i read the story wrongly

Okay, let's break down your ask a bit because it's not that I think you read the story wrong, it's that there's a missing component that I see a lot of people miss when it comes to stories like this:

you can love your abuser.

you can love your abuser.

most of us love our abusers.

Now, and I think this is something I believe that uhh I've argued with my friends over - I don't know how much parents who abuse their kids "love" them. It's complicated and a case-by-case basis, but I want to say that often it's love for what they want the child to be, not the child themselves. I've said it a few times over the years: out of the all the Todoroki children, the only child that got Enji as an actual father from the start was Touya. Toddler Shouto is scared of him, Enji seemingly didn't interact much with Natsuo as a baby or toddler, maybe to avoid the issue he had with Touya. And, well, bluntly, Fuyumi was essentially a baby sister for Touya's sake. Add to that the Japanese tradition of male primogeniture, and you get a very, very strong reason for why Touya loves his father and hates him at the same time, especially since this is met with apathy from Enji's end (as Touya thinks). As @pikahlua said recently, the opposite of love isn't hate, it's indifference. The actions and desperations of Todoroki Touya to be seen by the man he loves, no matter if the man in question doesn't deserve this adoration, are signs of a child yearning to be loved by his father, not ignored. Now, let's break down your ask: "Poetic/pretty"

Abuse isn't poetic or pretty. It's abuse. It's messy, and it creates rifts and broken, messy people who don't make sense and move through the world breaking things further. I know that's quite a harsh thing to say about other victims like this, but I'm not going to candy-coat it - victimhood is not virtuous. Being abused and victimized doesn't automatically make you good person or a better person, and you are not a better person for having struggled. In fact, honestly, trying to do good will be that much harder. And this is exactly why cycles of abuse are replicated.

Touya is both a liar and he isn't - because he's abused and that creates irrational feelings about the abuser and what happened. His lies are mostly to himself. That's how you get Touya maniacally making a video decrying all of hero society propping up abusers while trying to murder his younger brother in sheer jealousy that he wasn't abused the way he was.

I'm going to use the same words I use for Hawks: when are you people going to understand people who are fucked in the head are fucked in the head?

To me it makes sense that Touya has conflicting thoughts and feelings because people, especially mentally people who got there due to abuse, have conflicting thoughts and feelings. That's what you go to therapy to fix. (no one in BNHA goes to therapy) So, where does that leave you, anon? I think it's again about a greater question of what kind of stories you want to read. I will always agree we need more stories where child abuse victims walk away from their families and get to be happy about it. I get that the reconciliation stories like Encanto have their place, but for so long that's been such a big narrative in why people like me have to continue to have ties with people who hurt us. But BNHA isn't bucking that formula.

Horikoshi's own experiences and perspectives on abuse want wish fulfillment. And in his wishes, he wants the abuser to say sorry. Most abusers never get to where Enji has gotten. However, a good chunk of people don't want Enji to even say "I'm sorry" in the first place, and that's where I feel the story was just not written with them in mind. So, if you read the story wrong, it's because you wanted something different from it. You wanted a different type of narrative of abuse. Neither Horikoshi or you are wrong in wanting or writing this sort of story, it's just that the story is not for you. And accepting that will make you a happier person in the long run. Sometimes stories just aren't for you. I keep beating this like a dead horse; a large amount of the fandom, especially among my fellow villain-stans, didn't heed my warnings that the story wasn't going to end with what they wanted and they'd end up frustrated and angry at spending so much time for something that feels flat to them because they couldn't adjust their expectations. Lo and behold, it's too late now and now people are in their feelings about something they could have simply dropped or accepted. I'm sorry the story isn't for you and I hope you find a manga that suits you better in the future.

Pre-reveal Ace gets deaged in the Citadel (visiting glaives?) and in his panic at being on the mainland in front of the king/king-adjacent people accidentally activates one of Ardyn's emergency beacons. Cue Ardyn warping in ready to Murder™ and Ace jumps at him and calls him Dad.

Several things occur in the instant between Ace seeing the King in person for the first time and making the choice to strategically retreat and one of the Glaives firing off a new spell they were testing. Ace backs away from the King and his retainers, Cor notices Ace backing away and makes a beeline for him, Ace pales and attempts to disengage from his conversation with Luche to avoid Co and then the spell the Glaive was casting misfires and hits Ace square in the chest before any of them can react.

There is a brief flash of light and when the light dims everyone is staring at a child.

Ace stares at the area he's in, the people he's in front of, and though he hides it well the growing panic on his face is obvious. Nyx and Libertus are the first to move but then-

Another flash of light and Ardyn is there. The relief on Ace's face made more apparent with how worry had worn its way into it mere seconds before.

Like you hear a new thing every week about this guy, from when he figures out the Wisdom of Choharo situation to the ghoul to the revethavar, all the murders and scandals he's uncovered, his new apprentice...

There have to be a bunch of conspiracy theories about him and I could see it being a game to see who can bluff the most people with incredible stories about Thara Celehar before someone calls bullshit

(and imagining Thara hearing these and just being mortified about them because they paint him so incredibly/grandly and he can't fathom that at all, but maybe eventually he gets confident enough in a tea house or somewhere overhearing this and contributes something himself or tells them the actual story of whatever is being argued about, and suddenly there's a crowd and he has Regrets™ but better than the newspapermen somehow)

He pretty much never smiles or laughs, is often silent, he always looks like he's about to drop dead or maybe cry, he's often disheveled, he turns up in the weirdest places and says the most undiplomatic things frequently but also he will go out of his way to help people at the drop of a hat

People surely have conflicting views from seeing him as almost a cryptid to a fraud in the pocket of the rulers to a straight up hero, and he's just a kind of short, very self deprecating, closeted man who likes feeding stray cats that definitely aren't His, and spends a not insignificant amount of his time at the Vermilion Opera including that time people rioted

If they had social media in Osreth, there would probably be twitter hashtags and feeds and subreddits tracking him and his cases and speculating on what's going on with him based on like, his tea choice of the day, and someone with a fashion blog who wishes he'd wear that one yellow coat again

PRAXIE'S SUPER AWESOME SUPER COOL THEORY ABOUT DANIEL BEING IN THE MOB:

because the where the magic awakens discord server seemed to vibe with it, and it's like. a little bit funny.

SPOILERS MAY BE PRESENT! PROCEED WITH CAUTION!

as the title says, i thought up a crack theory about the Pages being previously part of / in charge of / otherwise involved in a mob. here is the thought process for how my adhd crack led me down this path:

1.) the headline of the muggle news paper and what it implies

note that the headline is "The Bloody Pages" headlines during the turn of the century were more dramatic, news headlines i've seen are more straight forward if the perpatrators aren't well known. for example: "Father-Son Duo: Mass Heist, Mass Murder" would be what i would expect if the Pages were largely unknown. but they are specifically references by their last name implying the family itself is pretty infamous for this kind of thing. and while i can't quite ascertain this, dad Page and bro Page look like they're dressed in that sort of 20th century gangster style in their picture of them getting arrested: dark coat, dark vest instead of looking like run in the mill burglars with skii masks.

2.) the gravity of their crimes

it's implied that along with a heist, they've committed mass murder. this implies to me that if they killed that much people in one sitting, they either had other people with them OR it was just the two of them but they had firepower, and since this is the UK and not the US, purchasing guns has stricter regulations, especially guns that are something like AK-47s? with the intent of doing harm? the chances are they'll sniff you out.

this to me implies either: they had the power and influence to rally up goons OR they had the money and contacts to smuggle arms

3.) this partially explains kaleena and esme's thing

starting with kaleena, not only does it partially explain her infamy in the wizarding world (imagine, a wizard not only doing magic in front of muggles/to harm muggles but being in a muggle mob?) it also coincides with gridley calling her a world class criminal. maybe she was more underground before marrying daniel's dad, but ended up coming up on the surface as she became more involved in the mob, whichever path, it makes it clear she has experience in criminality

for esme, it explains the "knows more than she lets on" thing she has going on: she knows of her mother's involvement in the mob, but since she was definitely still underage, we can say she was kept farther from it. she probably hasn't seen anything firsthand, but she knows what she knows. we could also say that in general aside from their older brother, the Page kids were kept far away from gang business for there safety: making it so daniel didn't know about the mob

4.) shit i highkey made up but listen that's what you're here for

so then, if kaleena was in the mob, we could say that maybe by the time she had daniel, she decided to be less involved in the frontlines to stay with the kids more since they're a huge vulnerability bc they're in a mob and presumably have a few enemies, but also bc she probably genuinely cared for them. making it so she's very close with daniel, which could explain the strength of daniel's later denial

then we could say that, by the time dad Page and bro Page get arrested, she's old and she's rusty with her magic, since she's been spending most of her time taking care of the kids for a few years, explaining why she gets caught despite being a "world class criminal". but then all daniel would know is his father and brother are the big bad, and his mom just loved them so much she tried to break them out. and since he was still very young, we can say that esme didn't want to tell him the truth bc you try telling your 5 year old brother both of your currently incarcerated parents, one of which is he is very attached to, were mobsters.

and because he's got a whole complex about it by the present time, having The Talk™ with him is even more complicated, especially when esme herself is presumably only somewhere aroumd 17-19 years old and has to juggle taking care of daniel and her own personal struggles brought on by the arrest of her parents

5.) but why doesn't daniel know about the mob in the present time?

could be that he knows his parents are in a mob but doesn't say it bc his whole thing is getting bullied for crimes his family did and he'd rather not pour gasoline on a house on fire, and is under the belief that his mother was there against her will OR that his mother wasn't involved at all, bar her trying to break dad Page and bro Page put of jail.

and thats my delulu corkboard crack theory on why daniel's family is part of the mob. thank you 🚶

Fun ideas for Minecraft roleplay series gimmicks (that I would do if I did one)

A Hardcore world with a thing called The Murder Box™, which is a giant Concrete-coated Obsidian structure containing a machine that dumps any mobs that enter it into a pit of lava, then dispenses a useful item. Also doLimitedCrafting is set to True. If one of the players crafts a fire-resistance potion then enters, there's a big reveal that the lava-room is connected to a vast underground bunker lined with Bedrock, containing lots of good items and an End Portal.

One of those "the World Border moves as you do stuff" things, but it's kinda like The Eternal Cylinder, so it only moves when the players are outside specific safe-zones. This one is also Hardcore.

Competitive Survival world where half of the players are "gods", meaning they have Creative Mode and infinite particle-free Invisibility, and are given a specific concept, e.g harvest, chaos, earth. Each Survival Mode player has an associated Creative Mode player, but the former does not initally know which concept the latter has, so they have to figure it out.

There's a buildheight tower, and most of the series involves trying to find a way to the top.

Every player has a randomised effect applied to them every minute, Reelism-style.

Little rant about the Etoiles Noires and gender ahead (i need to get the starmania brainrot out of my system and can not stop analyzing everything i watch through a queer lens)

i can't quite articulate how much i love the 2022 version of Starmania but one of my fav bits is at the end of travesti, after sadia's just sung about being hot and fucking crazy and Not Cis™, and after killing like 3 different people in the span of one song, all of the étoiles noires (which are mostly men here) gather around the car and sing with her !!! like. they know, they don't care, and they think it slays.

the fact that those murders happens during travesti makes the queer narrative more obvious because, of course, it's all about transgression. the étoiles noires are those left behind by society, those who don't "fit in" an expected norm, so they embrace what makes them different and they find community in violence. sadia (who is literally the allegory of that violence) embodies that !! the whole group singing the word "travesti" while in the middle of organized crime to overthrow the system is a political statement (and it would have been even more radical back in 1979, though idk how the song was staged). the things that makes them outcasts and their anger feeling left out are their fuel to act.

of course their respective reasons to join the zonards/étoiles noires must be different but queerness (and more generally, non-conformity to social norms) is definitely a part of it. the fact that sadia is not the one singing "des gars qui se maquillent" in 2022 confirms it, and although the étoiles noires have this "manly" behavior (which the women share anyways), they also somewhat subvert the norm, wearing make up and nail polish, showing emotions... btw i think it's good that the 2022 show goes back to a sensitive, vulnerable, somewhat feminine portrayal of johnny (which Balavoine definitely had and that was kind of lost in the 1988/1993 versions). i also really love how there seems to be a real spirit of camaraderie/friendship between them all ?? like there are displays of affection, (cf. johnny with the guy that helps him put the white coat on + the person sitting on the car next to him). they're literally commiting heinous murders but all you can see is how much fun they're having !!

then there's also the "besoin d'amour" bit which is really great because just like in travesti (the parallel in the choreography is very obvious !), they have cristal, aka stereotypical barbie, singing this girly, very much france gall-esque, pop song on the top of the car, about how joyous and fun it is to be in love, and the whole gang is dancing around her like a chorus to highlight how universal the message is. and then cristal's transformation after joining the étoiles noires !! it's clear to me that what the media depict as a "kidnapping" is actually a sort of liberation for her: she's allowed to leave behind her perfect image (= the golden cage stella never escapes) and maybe even a part of performative femininity as shown through her outfits. (i have a short post about that coming soon!) to become this more "messy", darker version of herself that doesn't need to be pure as crystal (lol) all the time.

overall the way the étoiles noires are portrayed is really cool because it subverts the classic representation of that scary gang with cold, judgmental, unfeeling vibes, and instead makes them a supportive group that faces together a cold, judgmental, unfeeling society ! (however !!! the different periods (1979/2022/whatever year starmania takes place in) overlapping in starmania do create a dissonance in how queerness is portrayed, and of course queercoding villains is a little problematic, but that's a post for another day!)

so yeah this violent group (of outcasts) terrorizing the population being made of gnc characters that aren't afraid to show feelings means a lot to me that's it 🫶🫶🫶

Twilitober 2023 day 1: Shop! ---

I'm going to be 100% upfront immediately; i am overwhelmingly busy this year with owed artwork, and personal health, etc etc. So this year's twili-tober is going to be nothing but uncolored sketchies until a later date when i can come back and color them!  That being said, my day 1 every single year has been huge. So this year is no exception x'D (although unlike prior years, i've garnered quite a large number of twili. There's no feasible way for me to actually fit them all into a singular picture without absolutely murdering my poor wrist) So instead, i put some of mine, and a few from family members as well! OH i also am debuting jecht's redesign as well!! I haven't been happy with him for awhile, so riiiiight before the month started i gave him a fresh coat of paint. Ya'll will be seeing alot more of him in the near futureeee Happy october, ya'll, here's hoping i can keep up with prompts this year X'D But if not, at least i did a few, yeah? There should be a shitpost Murder Drones au where the slice of life concept had stayed instead of the linear story Murder Drones we have now, and it's where first Thuzi (Thad x Uzi) and Envy (N x V) had become canon (the Envy is a maybe, i don't force anyone to do anything) and after a while it's just a big dumb polycule of idiots (+ Thad) that kill a few drones here and there either by accident or on purpose (again, maybe, i don't force anything)

I'm calling it Murder Drones: Hack 'N Slash Of Life (get it? Because. Because. "Slice of life"??? Hack 'N Slash??? Get it??? Am i funny yet?????)

The au is based on the now thrown away slice of life concept for Murder Drones that lasted two episodes and then died from there, put Thad in the backseat and pretty much gave way for Nuzi to bloom. Thad was gonna be Uzi's crush and maybe her boyfriend before the concept was scrapped for the story we have now and i think it's only fair to explore the concept of Thuzi and the slice of life aspect of Murder Drones that we didn't see after episode 3 dropped!

And hey the polycule is canonized in that au maybe idfk lol i just want these idiots vibing doing stupid shit like people like- what if we could've gotten to see V being cute in secret and then threaten to cut the witness open and hang their corpse on their house if they spoke about it to anyone lmfao that'd be the funniest shit ever

When Nathan Bateman asked you to come work for him out of his secluded mansion, two thoughts ran through your head: (1) this was easily the most important move you would ever make in your entire career; and (2) if there were ever a chance that you would be murdered, this was it. Granted, back then, you thought you’d be murdered by Nathan. After all, it’s always the eccentric billionaire types that commit the crimes, isn’t it? And being asked to move to the middle of the woods? Where you had to hike a mile into the woods to even reach the damn house because he refused to let anyone see it? Yeah. Yeah, if you were going to die a gruesome death, you were sure it would be by his hands. You never expected that it would be a fucking AI that would take you out.

Nathan had brought you to his mansion to look over his code. He never really told you what the code was for, only ever gave you bits and pieces to look over. It was interesting, working with Nathan. He was incredibly dedicated to his craft, and you admired that. Really, actually, you admired him. Sure, the man was rough around the edges. But he made you laugh, he respected your intelligence, often asking for your opinions on his work, even if it wasn’t technically in your job description just because he valued your opinion. And then, of course, were the dance parties. God, you’d never seen a man more attractive than him. 

Then—he finished his work. Or, at least, got to the point where you could see what he was doing. He’d been working on AI, and he wanted you to judge his latest project, Ava, to see whether she was genuinely capable of thought and consciousness. And it had been going well. 

That is, until you realized Nathan had built an AI who wanted to kill you and him and join the real world. 

Well, actually, you don’t know if she wanted to kill you. She was trying to kill Nathan, but you had jumped in the way of her blade and suddenly you were the one collapsing to the floor. 

“DON’T YOU FUCKING TOUCH HER!” Nathan shouted, striking Ava in the head with…something. You couldn’t quite see. All you could see was a decapitated Ava falling beside you, Nathan falling to his knees, pressing his hand into your stomach, shouting at Kyoko to get the first aid kit. 

“If I survive this…” you started to say. 

“Shh, save your energy,” Nathan said. “And don’t talk like that. You’re going to be fine. You’ll be fine.”

“…I’m requesting hazard pay,” you finished. You placed your hand on top of Nathan’s, patting it slightly. “It’s okay. It’s not your fault. Don’t feel like you have some duty to me.”

“Of course I have a duty to you.You’re my employe, and you’re my…” Nathan sighed, his eyes squeezing shut for a moment. As he gazed down at you, you could see him holding back tears. “I’m not good at this sort of thing. I really care about you, Y/N—”

“Shh, I know,” you said. “You don’t have to say anything. I, uh, think I’m gonna close my eyes for a sec. I’m really sleepy.”

“No, no, don’t—”

But all you could focus on was how heavy your eyes felt. You just needed to close them for a second. That’s all. You just needed a second. And then it all faded to back.

Ris does not recognize Lee as Morian at all because of his appearance change
