I can see Eddie getting really into one of those dinner murder mystery parties for Hellfire and not expecting Steve and Robin to be into it, only to find out that they both *committed.*
Like they've got outfits and fake accents and everything, and Eddie's delighted, but also they're outshining him.
Bonus: halfway through the night they swap characters, outfits and all, so Steve's in a swanky dress with pearls and Robin's in a tux.
They do not acknowledge that they swapped and absolutely refuse to break character, and it is 300% not a plot to hit on their respective crushes no matter what Dustin says.
(Max repeatedly calls out that they brought two outfits bc theres no way Robin fit into Steve's tux.
She is ignored , on grounds that Steve's dress is showing a heck of a lot of thigh and it being Robin's dress is 100% his excuse for it)

The Shipwrecked fandom doesn’t talk about the line “We murdered Jane Austen with great pride and extreme prejudice *high five*” enough.
like the amount of cunt served
Charlotte and Anne Brontë the women that you are <3

My hand slipped and I made a timeline of the real lives of all the Poe Party attendees. Just, y'know. For fun.
Tumblr media
Interesting notes (spoilers ahoy): - The timeline is SO close to being exactly 200 years: Jane Austen was born December 16 1775, and Agatha Christie died January 12 1976. - The closest two in both life and death dates were Emily Dickinson and Louisa May Alcott: they both lived to the age of 55, and their lives were only offset by two years. - Neither of the two most long-lived attendees, H.G. Wells (died at 79) and Agatha Christie (died at 86), survived the evening. - Hemingway was the last to be born, but Christie was the last to die. - Christie outlived everyone, both in terms of age and death date, but she had the least screen time. - Austen was the first born, and in the show she was the first to die. - Charlotte Bronte was the shortest lived at just 38, followed by Poe (40) and Austen (41). - Fun fact: Mary Shelley is definitely haunted, she kept moving around and loading incorrectly for no reason and I ended up having to retake the screenshot three times.
I put this together out of curiosity, because my roommate and I were musing about the disparate lifetimes of the authors, and figured I might as well share it. If you feel like this is Anne Bronte and Ralph Waldo Emerson erasure, you can make your own!

It is August 26th, which means it’s basically September, which means it’s basically Halloween. Thus, in honor of spooky season’s kickoff, I give you two stellar webseries recommendations from Shipwrecked Comedy.
Headless: A Sleepy Hollow Story is a modern spin on Washington Irving’s Legend of Sleepy Hollow.
Edgar Allan Poe’s Murder Mystery Dinner Party is a Clue-inspired mystery about Edgar Allan Poe throwing a murder mystery dinner party with several famous authors, only for his guests to start dying one by one.
Both are so much fun with spectacular writing and so many incredible performances. You will not be disappointed. Happy spooky season!
