When you have to take off your socks to change into clean socks and your bare feet touch the floor for exactly fifteen seconds and the dry, smooth sensation makes you want to chop your toes off

#It’s awful #I used to think short carpet was bad but vinyl flooring is the literal WORST #They should make socks that are lined with a rubbery nubby texture for people with sensory issues and/or allodynia #who find light or sliding contact painful and need deep pressure to function #This is why my grandma always wore her penny loafers— even in the hospital bed #I know what you were grandma #I KNOW you #She knew the lyrics to every song ever from 1890–1980 and would spontaneously burst into song if something you said reminded her of a song #And her mother used to sit down and read the dictionary for fun and was essentially a walking encyclopedia #despite dropping out of school at a young age because she just absorbed everything she could find #My aunt talks really really fast and for a really long time and constantly crochets to keep her hands busy #and according to my mom would rock in a rocking chair for hours and hours #All of my uncles and my mom are slightly socially awkward and take LOONG pauses between words sometimes #and something about their neutral facial expressions is “off” and guess who else looks “off” when I’m not purposefully grandiose #Moi [frames face with hands]#me #I can’t quite put my finger on it but I look a little too “dreamy” and like a fish out of water simultaneously #Like “the lights are off but someone is definitely in there watching and it’s kind of creeping me out”#And I will also read the dictionary for fun and I also happen to be a walking encyclopedia #Right now I’m into herbalism and mushrooms and psychotropic substances so I will recite paragraphs of information unsolicited #about any of those things #I guess it’s a branch off my main interest in psychology and human biology

should I get one of those super realistic crochet flower patterns and make it with worsted weight yarn instead of crochet thread to make a giant flower? and if so, what flower?

Can't believe I'm saying this as a certified rain lover but it has GOT to stop raining, man. 😭

#fae irl #it has rained at least once for the past like 3-4 days and our ac has veen leaking its nasty water into the apartment this entire time #like weve set some buckets under it to catch it so the carpet doesnt get soaked but #there is an electrical outlet right under it that has literally rusted from this happening #and the very first time it happened after we moved in it broke my mushroom nightlight so im still a bit miffed over that #despite the fact its been months since then #but the leaking #its so bad #it filled the mop bucket #please spare us #we dont want to call maintenance #if we were willing to call maintenance wed have done it for our screaming toilet that screams for unspecified periods of time #every time we flush it #and has been doing so for...also multiple months #😭😭😭

I dont need dumb ass US show/movie writers i have my brain which gives me dumb dumb dumb movie dreams like a zombie movie where the zombiness comes from fungal spores and everyone is trying to get to the big big shopping centre before it closes (as quarantined shelter. No zombies allowed) and once inside they just.....start shopping. Buying mushroom themed things. The fungus is inside the target they're meant to get further in before stopping but the lure of shopping. Even walking around in the dream I remember thinking geez thats a bit heavy handed no?

#literally a shot of some worn and dirty hands picking up a mushroom hoodie while in the background the windows are clogged #with more people trying to get in #you cant tell if theyve been fungused or not #then im in a cinema foyer everything is red with white spots (to promo a movie coming out) the walls the carpet #people are LINING UP to see movies #the board with whats playing has stupid podcast or op ed titles like 'what should you be doing instead of eating?' and 'derranged' and #'how much longer can we go on like this'
