Muttertag

Heute werden die Mütter dieser Welt gefeiert.

Uns war dieser Tag nie wichtig.

Ich habe immer gesagt, dass ich nicht diesen einen Tag brauche, um dir zu zeigen,dass ich dich schätze.

Dafür haben ich 365 Tage im Jahr Zeit.

Unsere gemeinsame Zeit ist vorbei.

Ich schätze dich so viele Tage im Jahr.

Und heute fehlst du besonders.

Mit schweren Herzen schaue ich der Welt dabei zu , wie heute die Mütter gefeiert werden.

Wie Töchter und Söhne gemeinsame Zeit verbringen.

Und ich erkenne, dass ich eifersüchtig bin.

Eifersüchtig auf jeden, der Zeit mit seiner Mutter verbringen kann.

Denn unsere gemeinsame Zeit ist vorbei.

Mir fehlt dein Lachen.

Deine Stimme.

Es fehlt mir mit dir zu sprechen.

Nur einen Tag wünsche ich mir.

Einen Tag gemeinsame Zeit.

Doch sie ist vorbei...

2024 comin

i keep thinkin 2024 is going to bring a few ends and as a result, several new beginnings.

i have spent a good portion of this year fearing my mother would die. she doesn't get better. she's just sick. tired, sick, drained. and she's not doing enough to combat it.

she's lost hope. she barely had enough left. she's become a shell of her former self. weaker, sadder, lonelier. i can't undo this. i can't save her.

one of my cats started sleepin in a new spot in the house, and would sleep longer than i thought he usually does. first thought was worry; was it his time already? it wasn't but i couldn't help but think it was.

i never stop thinking about death. figuratively, literally. i have since i was little. i don't want it. i fear its inevitability and indiscrimination. i fear my inability to handle it when it happens around me.

when something begins, i worry about how many ways it can end until it does. cursed.
