You only understand happiness when your country avoids falling into fascism after a month of political despair (bonus for the left coming out on top:))
September 7, 2024 - Over 100.000 people took to the streets in demonstrations in more than 130 cities and towns across France to protest liberal president Macron, with support from fascist Le Pen, handing the position of Prime Minister to the leader of the right-wing party that came in fourth place in the recent elections.
He did this to make sure that the nominal winners of that election, left-wing party NFP (Nouveau Front Populaire) are kept out of France's government. Macron said that the NFP's crazy ideas, such as raising taxes for the rich, are a threat to the national stability of France.
As always, liberals will choose to join forces with fascists before ever considering working with socialists. [video]
Currently crying because my country did not put the fascist in power, but even better , the left win !!!
The final results are still not in, but the left win !!! We won!!
In the last weeks, there was so many racist aggressions and violence juste because they fought they would win.
If they had win, my mother would have been forbidden to access some profession, it would have been so terrifying. We still have a long way to go but we won ??? Every sondage gave us looser, the media spent the entire campaign lying about the left program, and yet we won !!! The left have the must seat in parliament !!!
I ve been crying for 25 minutes. Like I know there is a LOT of work but WE WON! The left won !!!
My mother is safe, I am safe, my family, my friends we are safe for at least 3 more years. We are safe, we will be safe for 3 more years.
I have no one to celebrate it, because I am overseas so I just needed to tell it somewhere : The left have won, we are safe !!

Hundreds of thousands of people took to the streets of several French cities on Saturday, September 7, to protest against what has been dubbed as “electoral theft” committed by President Emmanuel Macron, who appointed far-right Michel Barnier as the prime minister of the country despite the fact that Barnier’s party won on;y 5% of the vote in the latest general elections.
The protests were called by the center-left coalition New Popular Front (NFP) in more than 150 cities across France.
The protests were organized in opposition to Macron‘s appointment of Les Républiques party’s Michel Barnier as prime minister, a decision that has been widely criticized by the French left, which has called it a coup against the people’s will, as it was the NFP that had received the maximum number of seats in the July 7 parliamentary elections but had failed to win an absolute majority.
