Some Bettys!!! I kept on not finishing! But finally did finish today! After remembering they existed and being unable to work on anything else instead of them lol

do you know why Walk On and On has such a big bird motif? like the cards and event song. what does it symbolize?

the wings on the jackets are meant to be a reference to the mythical hiyoku bird, a one-winged bird who cannot fly until it meets it's other half. also the birds in the cards are crows, which mate for life.

in other words, the birds symbolise soulmates

also the crows being together for life thing did connect to the story, see: Toya saying he wants to be by Akito's side "from now on and forever" and that being his banner card name, but EN changed the line so it makes less sense on that server lol.

#kohane's first color alt is close to an's image color and the wing is mirrored. same with toya's alt 1 being close to akito's image color #and also mirroring the wing #partners or smth #also i have a theory that kaito's two wings (one broken one not) is a reference to arata and souma #bc you know they'd already teamed up so it's completed set of wings but then souma got in the car accident #hence one damaged wing #also kaito was there the first time we meet souma and points out the similarities between bad dogs and gurney flap #none of that stuff about kaito's costume is confirmed btw bc this set didn't get a blog post that's just my interpretation #asks

Clary!! I had a dream with her in it (among other nomai) and I remember very distinctly that she had beautiful hazel eyes. So I decided to give her a design to go along with them!!

#outer wilds #outer wilds clary #it was a very cool dream (a few ow base game spoilers below!!)#generally outer wilds themed. same vague loop stuff #i had to dive down into this deeeeep ocean that was really vibrant with so many vivid colors #and navigate my way through reefs and crevasses and caves to reach a structure in the depths #it was like the vessel in general design #and i had to go through a bunch of black hole warps and find my way through the structure #puzzle out how to find the way forward #that kinda thing #and at the end there was a black hole warp way above me #and when i jump in i was taken to some kind of limbo #a room in stasis outside of time and reality #and a bunch of nomai were there!!! including yarrow n clary (they're the only ones that were identified)#none of them knew how long they'd been there or even really how they died #but ultimately the purpose of that limbo other-reality was to make a new world and a fresh start #idk i found it intriguing #faux art

minimal context: I was talking to a friend about gender hcs with the rise turts and I mentioned how I probably wouldn't write stuff in off colors about it despite it being ever present and I came to the realization that when Donnie finds out his bros all have different things going on he's going to want information for science reasons.
