He hated that ladies payed attention to you instead of him, he hated that they got all red in the face and even more beautiful that way whenever they looked at you.

But he mostly hated that even he had to admit that he agrees with those ladies.

He agrees your smile is the most calming thing he ever saw.

He agrees that your charming personality and kind voice makes his legs weak and his cheeks burn so red he thinks he and his heart might blow up.

Thats why sanji prefers not to be around you, you confuse him and make him feel...things he never felt, not just towards a guy towards anyone.

This however made you believe he hates you.

And you just couldn't understand why.

When ladies swooned over you, you never did anything.

The same thing happened in Thriller park.

When Perona saw you after you guys were awakened by Usopp she got red in the face and whispered to herself "he is so handsome I almost feel bad for making him depressed" that pissed off sanji. Of course he thought Perona was cute, but she of course noticed you and you didn't even answer her.

The next straw was when he wanted to rescue Nami-san, you tagged along and Absalom looked at you and immediately thought you are a big threat his exact words were: "you, handsome, you came for my bride there is no way Im letting her see you"

He didn't know you were Nami's crew mate since you didn't have a wanted poster either.

That extremely annoying for Sanji since he wanted to be the knight in shining armor for Nami.

"OI LION HEAD IM GONNA BEAT YOU TO PULP"

Yelled Sanji to get Absaloms attention.

However Absalom attacked you first paying him no mind. Now you wouldn't have a problem defeating him however when he got close so you could attack he disappeared and that caught you off guard.

You lifted you weapon just in time to block his punch and gave huge thanks to your reflexes. While this was happening Sanji had a perfect opportunity to get to Nami and he knew your strength, he knew you could handle yourself. But he wanted to beat Absalom. He wanted to beat the pervert peeking at Nami-san when she was bathing.

So he yelled

"Y/N" in a very pissed off tone.

You snapped your head in his direction thinking he got hurt or anything of that sort with the way he yelled, you were worried.

This however got your attention away from Absalom giving him an opening which he took immediately and shot right towards your heart.

The bullet hit you and you fell backwards with shock painted on your face.

Sanji stopped.

His breathing stoppen.

Everything was playing in slow motion as you fell towards the ground with a bullet in your chest.

This was his fault.

If he had not gotten your attention away from your opponent you would not have gotten hit.

Sanji was feeling empty.

Even he didn't know what happened with his feelings.

The only thing he knew was you were hurt and he did not. like. that.

The moment your body hit the ground Sanji attacked Absalom kicking him so hard he passed out.

And then kneeled down to your body.

"Y/N?Y/N! Can you hear me?" He started to panic he did not want to lose you. He looked at your chest and he saw that the bulled hit just under you heart very likely not damaging your heart just breaking a few ribs.

"Sanji" you coughed out "Nami, Nami is getting take--" you coughed up blood not being able to finish your sentence. Sanji looked behind him and you were right. While he was busy worrying about you Absalom took Nami and disappeared, literally.

That is the moment Sanji realized.

He let Nami out in the open alone because he wanted to get to you.

You, the guy who had such an amazingly kind personality every girl who he claimed to want swooned over.

You who always smiled at him even if he didn't smile back or act just a little bit rude.

You, who offered to help clean up after every meal the crew had and even though he told you no every time (rather harshly) you still at least collected the plates and put them on the counter next to where he was washing the dishes.

That is what he realized in that moment.

That was the most confusing thing to him.

"Sanji-" your raspy voice broke him out of his trance and he got to his senses you guys had to move or else there would be trouble.

After defeating Moria the straw hats celebrated. Not just the new victory but the new crew mate as well.

Sanji was in the kitchen preparing more food for luffy everyone. And you just can't shake the thought of what happened.

Sanji ran to your aid instead of staying by Nami's side and protecting her. In a way he choose you over Nami.

No, there is no way that's too far fetched. You just couldn't figure it out.

So there was only one thing to do.

Ask him.

Now this was trickier then it sounded.

With you thinking he hates you, approaching him was not easy.

But you had to do it if you wanted to get an answer.

Which you really wanted to.

So you stood up from your place next to Usopp and with claiming you will go to get another drink you were off to the kitchen.

Sanji was zoning out. Thinking about you. About how nice the button up shirt you were wearing looked on you and how it defined you muscles.

"Hey Sanji" you said stepping into the kitchen. He was still focusing on cutting meat and let out a "hmm" as greeting.

That did not help your already raging anxiety.

"I... great food tonight you did really great" this was quite awkward the way you said it however you did mean it. He said "mhmm" without giving you a glance and continuing what he is doing. Sanji did not mean any harm from this he just didn't want to look at you fearing a nose bleed.

"Anyway I was just wondering..." you were getting more anxious by the moment due to his cold demeanor. "Uhhhh" 'oh come on Y/N spit it out already he is already fed up with you' you thought to yourself.

"Can I ask you a question?" Finally better than nothing you are in it now there is no way out.

Sanji stoped what he was doing just for a split second.

"Sure" and he continued what he was doing

Sanji was confused. He already apologized for messing with your fight and for the broken ribs you suffered for it, he couldn't really look in your eyes from shame (you thought from hate), but he still did it. Not to mention you sounded nervous, why? At this point he put his knife down and looked at you (well kinda) leaning his back on the kitchen counter trying his hardest to prevent a nose bleed from your muscular forearms which showed because of your rolled up sleeves.

This of course just made you more nervous, you always thought he was handsome but when he looked right at you with his blue eyes you could faint.

"Well I was just wondering..." 'oh my god Y/N spit it out!' You literally yelled at yourself in your mind.

"Why did you come to my aid when you could have helped Nami?"

There it was, out in the open. Now he will either gat mad at you or you will get an actual advice, he already hates you whats the worst that could happen.

"Well..." he started slowly "I don't quite understand your confusion, I mean you were seriously wounded not to mention it was my foult--"

"No" you said cutting him off "I mean yeah it was kinda but it was my decision to look away and not pay attention so it was more my fault... but thats not what I mean." You corrected yourself quickly, then sighed.

"Look we all know how much you love Nami and for you to get to me instead of a lady who is Nami is just to weird--"

"Because..." started Sanji cutting you off "I..." he was screwed, he had no idea how to tell you why he did what he did without confessing his love to you which just got stronger by every passing day.

"I...don't actually know its just what I did it was in the past, it already happened so I do not see any need to discuss this any further" he said kind of hastily to rush the conversation along.

This hurt you. You knew he hated you but... well when does it not hurt when your crush just wants you out of his sight.

You turned around and were about to leave when

"Now, can you answer a question?" Asked Sanji in a calm tone. You were surprised to say the least. This was probably the longest conversation you guys ever had.

"I... uh sure" you were kind of happy he was not that fed up with you yet.

"Why do you never do anything about women swooning over you all the time?"

"What?" This caught you off guard, very much so, what did that have to do with anything?

"Don't play dumb you see how they cheeks get pink and how they look the other way giggling, why do you never act on that, with your looks and charm you could get any women in the world and I don't know how but you don't even do anythi--" laughing.

Your laughter cut Sanji off. It was a lovely laugh, he knew that he liked your laugh a lot. But why were you laughing?

"Sanji...what?" You asked flabbergasted, still chuckling a bit. He was just staring at you silently. That told you everything.

"Sanji... Im gay" you said with still an amused expression on your face.

Sanji wasn't unaware however. He stopped functioning the moment you said you liked him and then his eyes bulged out of his skulls when you said he hates you.

"Hold on..." he didn't even know where to start.

"You think I hate you?" He went with that first

"Well based on the fact that this is the longest conversation we ever had, yes." You said dumbfounded still not aware that you confessed to him.

"I..." he felt really bad. You thought he hated you when in reality he just had feelings for you that scared him. "No, I don't hate you, not at all in fact..." should he do it? Well you confessed first so that made it easier.

"I like you... a lot, actually I kinda... sorta...love...you" and he said it. He confessed, real love, to a man, you.

Thats when you realized what you said, that you said you liked him. That you just confessed to the man you have loved since you saw his adorable curly eyebrows and silky blond hair.

You turned tomato red, Sanji chuckled at this finding you adorable.

"Ehh... wait, you love me?" You were short circuiting, this was not happening, but...how?

"Well... thats what I just said" he said not so sure of himself anymore. You just said you liked him but he already confessed his love for you. Now it was his time to turn red or he was about to when you leaped into his arms, hugging him tightly.

Sanji hugged you back slowly, relishing in your sent.

When you two parted you looked in his eyes, ocean blue, you loved it.

Because I think they did. I think Vivi politely asked Nami for some clothes and if she could borrow some. And Nami of course said yes and told her that she also needed a looong shower and relax for a bit. That she'd give her all the clothes she needed. And I think Vivi changed right there in the room with Nami and, you know, Nami kept saying that it was fine because they were both girls and practically best friends already, but she was dying. So @lesbian-space-ranger​ and I accidentally created a new Zosan AU that we’ve been talking about since last night. A note: half of this is me summarizing, half of it is pulled directly from Discord because Cas (lesbian-space-ranger) has such great ideas.

This is a long post. I don’t feel like putting it under a read more. So. Enjoy. Or keep scrolling. Either works.

So this post happened

These roles just came to me. Didn’t need to give it much thought because Sanji has the appearance and demeanor of a lead singer and I like the idea of him using his skilled hands to play piano at the same time.

I also watched the movie Rocketman earlier in the week. You know, that Elton John biopic. I adored it and it’s been heavy on my mind lately and I liked the idea of Sanji giving a high energy performance from the piano. (Sir Elton John’s music comes into play later.)

And as for Zoro, I find the bass and/or the beat the sexiest part of the music in a song and, naturally, I can see him rocking at either.

So I asked Cas if she had any other headcanons for this AU and this thing is too good to not share.

Yeah, so Zoro and Sanji are in a boy band with Usopp and Luffy. Luffy started the band. Luffy does guitar, Zoro is on bass, Usopp is on drums, and Sanji is on keyboard and vocals.

Nami is their manager. She works them hard and has taken a 40% cut of the profits because of the guys’ naivete and inexperience. But she’s why they took off. She booked their gigs at every venue she could manage, no matter how small.

They got their big break when Nami met Vivi, who’s a talent scout for the record label Baroque Works. Nami insisted that Vivi had to see the boys perform because they’re something else and Vivi’s heard that a thousand times, but she agreed because Nami is cute. Nami and Vivi are dating. Also, re Baroque Works: Crocodile looks like a sleazy music producer, doesn’t he? So does Doflamingo.

So Sanji is the pretty one, Luffy is the funny one, Zoro is the quiet/broody one, and Usopp is the smart one.

Zoro has a lot of deals with fitness brands, but secretly finds the famous life unfulfilling. This comes back later, so keep that in your back pocket.

Robin runs their social media. She’s so good at her job, running all of their accounts and tweeting simultaneously, you’d swear she had four sets of hands. Wink.

Franky does pyrotechnics/lighting.

Brook is their stylist.

Chopper was their first real fan. He and Zoro grew up in the same neighborhood and Chopper just always idolized him. He followed them before anyone knew their names. He was their hype man, saying encouraging things like "I know you guys are gonna be great!" He believed in them even when they didn't believe in themselves.

Usopp set up their recordings before they got signed because he’s savvy. And then Chopper would sell their crappy CDs. At these tiny gigs. Like coffeehouses and stuff.

Sanji can play keyboard because his parents forced him to play piano as a kid. They had this idea that classical music would teach him discipline and make him smarter. This is how he meets Zeff. Zeff’s your typical stern instructor, but he’s the first adult to ask Sanji what he actually wants and likes. Zeff sees Sanji’s not into it so he asks him what music he likes and Sanji tells him he likes pop, so Zeff gives Sanji a more rounded education. This includes Elton John because I say so. It did inspire me to put Sanji on keyboard, after all.

But other than being Sanji’s piano instructor, Zeff becomes the one positive adult figure in young Sanji’s life and he becomes something of a mentor figure for him. Zeff has a garden and he lets Sanji work in it with him. This garden is how Sanji gets his “little eggplant” nickname. Sanji pulls an eggplant out before it’s ready and it’s so small and pitiful and Zeff won’t let him live it down. Like, Sanji keeps in touch with Zeff even into adulthood and after he makes it big and he still calls Sanji little eggplant.

Zoro and Sanji are always doing that, "Kind of flirting, not really” thing on stage.  Sanji is always like walking up to Zoro on stage and acting like he's going to kiss him but pushing him away at the last moment. And it's this huge mystery whether they're actually an item or not. This comes from Nami. Sanji and Zoro have this natural chemistry with each other that leads to speculation and Nami, knowing how boy band fan bases work, saw dollar signs. But it’s not just pragmatism on her part; she knows that one cannot simply go up to Zoro and Sanji and say “You obviously like each other. You should date.” So she makes money and helps her friends find happiness.

Usopp has speculation going on as well. People are always confused as to who he’s dating. Tabloids keep being like "Usopp dumped Nami and is now dating Luffy!" "Luffy Scorned?" "Luffy ditches Usopp and steals his girl!" And they just think the entire thing is hilarious. They collect headlines. The answer is Usopp is dating Luffy and Nami and Luffy and Nami just become really affectionate with each other after dating Usopp long enough. Also Nami is dating Vivi, like I mentioned, and sometimes Nami brings her on as a plus one. 

Sanji and Zoro keep giving conflicting answers about their relationship status. Like they'll tell one person they hate each other and another person they're gonna get married someday. Sanji has to walk this fine line of being "in love" with all of his female fans and also "in love" with Zoro. Or not. Who knows? Like Sanji enjoys the attention but he really really plays shit up for his fangirls. This makes Sanji even more popular. Just picture pages upon pages of Sanji/Reader and “Zanji” fics on Wattpad. Nami is one smart lady. "I am the smartest, prettiest, most clever person alive."

Zosan getting together really is just a bunch of Fake Dating tropes. At first it really is just to get more press for the band. Nami schemes with Usopp and Robin to push them together. Robin's a social media genius and knows how to craft tweets and Instagram posts that fans will overanalyze. 

Meanwhile eventually Zoro and Sanji admit to each other they have actual feelings and one day Usopp finds Sanji sleeping in Zoro's bed, both of them completely tuckered out. But they don’t know Nami crafted this. They just come clean and hope she won't be mad and she's like, "Yes! Finally!" and they're like "What?" and she's like, "I've been waiting for you two to realize you have actual feelings. Did you really think I'd just use you for profit like that?" and they're both like "Yes" "Of course"

Zoro’s mad at her for meddling. Secretly he’s grateful, but he doesn’t want to give her the satisfaction and he’s yelling until Sanji grabs his hand and he just calms down.

And to bring Elton John back into the picture, just picture Sanji doing a cover of “Your Song” and uploading it online and thinking about Zoro. Naturally the comments are abuzz with people speculating that he’s singing about Zoro. And like. Onstage Sanji does his rendition and sends these small glances Zoro’s way, partially because he knows it’ll get the band a lot of attention, partially because that song is sweet and beautiful and it’s such a simple way to explain his feelings. (There is a reason why Moulin Rouge included it!!) I imagine this happens before they come clean to each other. Like, Zoro comes to him and is all “I keep thinking about that song you did...” And they go from there.

And eventually the band comes to its natural end. 

Usopp goes solo and flourishes, working as a songwriter and a producer. He wrote the band’s songs and he’s had a drum kit since he was, like, ten and he can make his own beats. He’s not the singing type (though he is good at it and could reach new heights if he came out of his shell), so he’s the kind of artist who makes the beat and then gets super famous pop singers to feature on his tracks. But he also writes songs for other singers and is so good at it and produces other artists’ tracks. I also like the idea that he’s taught himself to play multiple instruments, but he prefers the drums/percussion. He totally played percussion in school and was in marching band. I was in marching band for one year. I loathed every second of it, but I know he’d be phenomenal in drum corps.

Luffy isn’t much in music anymore, but he keeps himself busy. He’s something of an influencer, the kind of celebrity who gets paid to wear fashion brands’ clothing. He’s also Usopp’s trophy husband, living off the money he made off the band. Usopp grew wise to Nami’s antics and made sure he and Luffy would live comfortably for the rest of their lives, even if Usopp were to retire. Luffy also is secretly a Buzzfeed journalist because it’s fun for him to write these hit articles and people not know it’s him because he’s writing on this super bland pseudonym. 

And then there’s Zosan. They have a falling out after the band splits and go their separate ways.

Sanji quits being a professional singer because he’s tired of the prying into his personal life, but he still mentors and/or teaches. He has a string of girlfriends and finds no fulfillment in those relationships because the women are only interested in his celebrity.

And they aren’t Zoro.

Zoro tried branching off into commercials for fitness, but his heart wasn’t in it. He kind of takes up ranching on a whim and learns that he’s really good at it. He likes the physical labor, the quiet, being away from it all, nobody knowing his name. He doesn’t pursue anyone after Sanji because he feels like if it’s meant to be, someone will appear.

And Sanji does.

Sanji finds out where Zoro is through Luffy. So he makes his way to the ranch and finds Zoro and Sanji is all “Come back. I miss you.”

And there’s just a lot of soft Zosan content during Sanji’s visit. Sanji’s always been afraid of horses, but he’s not afraid when he’s with Zoro, and Zoro teaches him they can be gentle creatures, it’s just that you just have to respect them. (Ha. Get it?) Zoro takes Sanji on a ride and they go out and he takes him up the mountain and shows him how beautiful the view is. Sanji's watching the sunset and he's like, "Damn that's the prettiest thing I've ever seen." And Zoro is looking at Sanji and he says, "It sure is." And Sanji's like, "you're not... even looking." And Zoro's like, "No, I'm looking alright. Prettiest thing I've ever seen for sure."

More soft things like Zoro taking off his cowboy hat and putting it on Sanji. Them sitting by the fire, Zoro playing acoustic while Sanji sings. Whenever people see them they’ll ask them if they’re musicians and they share a knowing smile and say “Yeah. Something like that.”

And Zoro convinces Sanji to move out there with him. The others come to visit. Luffy and Chopper are obsessed with the cows and horses and the chickens. Luffy wants, like, eight pet chickens. Usopp is skeptical. Doesn’t believe Lu can look after a pet.

And it kind of ends there. It was us going back and forth, oftentimes out of chronological order, and so here I am putting it all together because it’s too good not to share. But it was a lot of fun.

Lozza, can I ask something unironically? What makes Nami bi? I mean, what aveces make it clear?

To be honest, I head canon Nami to be a raging lesbian. The reason I believe this is because she has never actually shown any attraction to men in the story but has shown attraction to women in one way or another. Of course, all of this is up to interpretation and people are allowed to see and absorb the information given to them in anyway they choose. 

An SBS in volume 59 shows us this diagram of the Strawhat’s thoughts:

Nami has: ‘money money money money beauty’, which I like to interpret as she thinks about the beauty of other women

(To contrast, Sanji has women written in his, so to me this also suggests that Nami just isn’t into men. Again this can be interpreted in your own way. For example I head canon Sanji as bi, and this diagram doesn’t necessarily suggest that he is.)

But of course, there are many other things to me that suggest that she is lesbian, with her attraction to women being displayed through many different occasions.

Sticking to the money aspect of Nami’ character, she’s so incredibly possessive of it (for good reason considering her backstory). She keeps all the expenses of the crew, usually hoarding it for herself. And yet?? she just?? gives a whole bunch of her treasure to Lola??

Even Usopp and Luffy point out just how out of character that is for her! She even shows Lola affection by going in and tackling her in a hug.

I honestly don’t even feel like I can explain this?? Like Oda clearly didn’t have to make this joke and yet??? He just makes Nami say something like that?? Take that panel out and the plot is no different, the fight remains the same and yet?? She , to me, clearly has an attraction to Kalifla, joke or not

Throughout the whole time she’s talking about Tashigi (comparing her to Bellemere) she’s just, blushing. She very clearly admires Tashigi for her courage and willingness to save the children from Punk Hazard and even goes as far as to compare her to her own mother!! Someone she loves so dearly!! You could chalk the blush up to the fact it’s cold but??? you don’t see the other characters blush like that.

Throughout ALL of this Wanda is just consuming Nami with love and affection and to me it seems like Nami is enjoying it. There’s even HEARTS from Wanda (and possibly Nami) and she just, lays there once Wanda goes back to explaining her gratitude.

Reiju sucking the poison out of Luffy and this is Nami’s reaction??? Like honestly that’s the EXACT reaction I have when I watch the scene and it’s not because I’m jealous of Reiju locking lips with Luffy I’ll tell you that. It’s no secret that I’m attracted to Reiju, and it doesn’t surprise me that Nami gives off a very similar reaction to that of which I would give too in that scenario.

Now we’re at my favourite suggestion that Nami is attracted to women.

This scene right here. Vivi is going on about the world and how amazing it must be and Nami turns around and just. STARES at her with a giant smile.  TWO panels are dedicated to this, with one being a close up. And I know that if this was her staring at a male character, people would jump on that. (I’m also probably very biased because I ship namivivi so hard you have no idea)

Which leads onto this last bit I’ll bring up

As soon as Sanji starts talking about Vivi in this way and gets in the way of Nami, she get’s pissed. This is also evident in the anime episode.

As soon as she see’s Vivi she smiles and it’s so cute. And it’s not like she’s upset that others want to see her, because she goes on to show Luffy, Chopper and Brook.

She describes her as graceful as well, and she clearly shows that she’s very proud of Vivi and what she’s accomplished (what a great girlfriend)

As the scene goes on and it quickly goes through all the characters, the other characters point them out, and yet Nami was the one to point out Vivi. Of course, she was the first to open the newspaper and see her, but she lets the others take in the pictures, almost as if she wanted to see her first and gush about her.

Of course, this in no means you must believe Nami is lesbian. It’s a head canon and we will never know unless Oda explicitly says otherwise and even then, people are allowed to have their head canons. You can interpret it how you want and how you see fit. If you don’t see her as lesbian, that’s okay. If you see her as straight, bi, pan, trans etc. that’s okay. Just as long as you don’t harass others for their head canons and ships, your insight is 100% valid.

Who fell first, Nami or Vivi?

This is such a great ask,,

The whole thing of "who fell first, who fell harder" doesn't really feel right for these two because I think they're equally crazy for each other. But, when it comes to who fell first... I probably think that Vivi. But it's hard to explain(?

Vivi fell first in the "crush" sense because she's a princess and has never had the time/right to look at other girls that way. So of course, when a hot pirate enters her life, her whole idea of love changes, and she realizes why she wasn't interested at all in all the men who proposed to her. She kept saying it was because she couldn't find the right guy yet and she had other responsibilities, but then she realizes that it's because they were, well, guys. Because Nami steps into her life pretty much suddenly and she's just so nice to her. She's ruthless but sweet and she has a playful and mischievous spot that Vivi isn't used to but adores. She loves all these new experiences and she falls hard for Nami the second they can rest together in between all the Arabasta drama. So it's not really love at first sight, but just a crush and wanting a taste of something she knows won't last because she'll have to stay in Arabasta in the end. I think, though, that during the whole Drum Island incident, Nami getting sick, and Arabasta as a whole, Vivi falls even more for Nami to the point of love. And it's weird because it happens quickly and turns her life around completely. Nami's kindness and the comfort she provides are so breathtaking for Vivi... She's a whole new world. So I think she fell first, yeah.

For Nami, I think Vivi at first is just a pretty girl like all the pretty girls she's been with before and she doesn't have a crush on her right away. She's more logical here, y'know. She finds Vivi pretty but focuses on helping her out and pretty much relates to her experience of losing the power over her home. She likes her, but she knows it won't last because Vivi will have to go back to Arabasta at some point and Nami doesn't let herself fall for somebody/trust them this easily. She flirts with her jokingly the same way she always does with every girl she meets, and because she's just like that. But I think that, when she falls for Vivi, she falls hard. She skips the crush thing to instantly have a bond with her that turns her whole life around and she knows she's completely fucked. Because of course she had to be cliché like that and fall for a princess they're helping go back to her home. Of course Nami would let her guard down with somebody she'll barely see. But damn, she's just beautiful. Perfect. She's kind but brave and she fights for her people and what matters to her the most. She has strong ideals about protecting people and she's also the cutest thing Nami has ever seen and the closest to comfort/home she'll ever be. Nami loves her because she's just that genuine. She's smart but silly and often forgets stuff. She gets involved in their shenanigans and fits in their family so well, that now that Nami has to accept her leave, she can't picture the crew without her.

I think Vivi wouldn't realize she's a lesbian until she meets Nami, and Nami would treat her like any girl she meets until she falls for Vivi. And it breaks my heart to think that they fall extremely hard for each other but then they have to be apart and- Ugh. Besides, they would talk much about their feelings at first because Vivi is insecure about Nami's experience with love life/girls and Nami doesn't want to get too attached to her (happens anyway).

So basically, Vivi fell first as in "having a crush" and Nami fell first as in "being completely head over heels". Vivi would be okay falling for Nami if Nami wasn't a girl, while Nami would be okay with falling for a girl if that girl wasn't Vivi.

they're literally one of my favorite ships. they make it to the top 5 for sure. they're so,, so real,,, their dynamic is so sweet but also so so silly and as a lesbian i'm glad to see that a sapphic ship is pretty popular in this fandom (as it should be).

Beeeeeans? I am so sick with the Rona and I just wanted to ask if you have any cute Sanuso / Namivivi proposal headcanons to heal my spirits (if you want to and if you have the energy I just have been thinking about fluffy wedding stuff so much.)

Sanji would be the type of chef who plans to swoon their darling with the old “ring on the dessert” thing I feel. It’s classic, it’s stylish, he has witnessed a many proposal at the baratie like this and it always ended well …. And then he proudly gets up after their dinner to get the ice cream and Usopp is all “Thanks but I’m not hungry anymore.” Five course meal may have been little overdoing it. Starts to persuade Usopp into eating just a little more, which in turn makes Usopp a bit annoyed “Thanks but no thanks. Listen, what’s your issue? You know Luffy will gladly eat anything you-” “I DONT WANT LUFFY TO EAT IT.” Culminates in Sanji stomping off to the kitchen and fishing the ring off his painstakingly made desert and proposing old school style, which makes him a bit more nervous because the ice cream thing was a charm point and also his forte, even if Usopp said no they would still probably share the desert together.

Of course everything goes well and Usopp accepts and of course Luffy walks by them five minutes later with the sundae in hand all “Congrats! But you’re missing out Usopp, this is amazing”

Sanji and Usopp would propose to each other at the same time. That's how in sync they are. They'd be extremely anxious all day long waiting for the moment and they would end up doing it at the same time. And I think they're beautiful and stupid.

Thinking about Sanji putting the ring on a champagne glass and Usopp swallowing it. Completely clueless. Sanji starts to panic.

Usopp would make the biggest public performance to ask Sanji to marry him. Fireworks. A whole damn show. Nami would definitely help. It's the most beautiful thing in the world.

Fuck proposals, actually Sogeking goes to whole cake island, saves Sanji and they get married right there.

Following the last concept, kind of, I truly think Sanji would instantly ask Usopp to marry him the second they find each other again in Wano.

Namivivi:

I know we talk a lot about Zolu's proposal being that scene of Pirates of the Caribbean but I think it would fit Namivivi too so much!!

Thinking about Vivi proposing to Nami in a more traditional way. Like. Arabasta's traditions or something. Very Princess/Fairytail like. They'd have a very cute wedding with Arabasta dresses!!!

They meet again!! But Vivi has to stay in Arabasta for reasons (manga related reasons iykyk). They're all saying goodbye, Sunny already sailing away, and before Nami can regret anything she impulsively yells at Vivi from far away and asks her to marry her when they see each other again.

They have a very romantic and poetic night together before they have to separate again :( I think they'd even get married that night.

nami/robin: i love them and i wish they had more scenes together in canon :(( i love that they share a room and their beds are literally next to each other. i'm sure that they cuddle when they sleep. no doubt about it. robin reads out loud while nami does her nightly routine with makeup and stuff and then they talk for a bit before falling asleep. i love that they're the only girls in the crew but their role isn't just that. they both keep the guys in place but robin has that silly, satiric dark side that scares nami sometimes, and nami has that impulsive, thief side that robin loves too. and kjsdcjksdnjkasd they make me ill. they have girl nights. they go shopping. they talk shit about people together. they eat sanji's food together. nami talks about how much she misses her girlfriend (vivi, i miss you too. come back) and robin comforts her but instantly nami complains about her "not getting it" because she has her husband on the damn ship!!!!! then nami goes and hugs robin back again. i think they're the smartest and brightest girls ever and they deserve all the love. neither of them has ever had real friends and now that they have the chance to live freely, they finally can hang out together. robin is older and tbh i think she sees nami as this cute, young, brilliant girl with so so much potential. and nami sees robin as, like, this older, mature woman that's also her bestie and that's awesome!!! a lot of people ship them romantically but i personally see them as besties or sisters ngl. i think robin is still getting used to having friends like a normal person and nami teaching her how to enjoy life is so,,, so beautiful,,, they also have their own shenanigans and i need them to have wayyy more scenes together c'mon!!!

nami/zoro: i am so not shutting up about them i apologize- i love them. i am obsessed with them. we need to talk more and more about them. "they're overrated" they should be. they deserve it. i fucking love everything about these two. so, so much... the thing that makes me like them it's probably the fact that they're part of the romance dawn trio, and i'm very nostalgic about those three. they're all important to luffy, of course, all of his nakama are. but... there's just something about zoro and nami being the first ones that makes me insane. they're the ones that had to deal with luffy together when they first met, and ever since, they've just been sooo chaotic. i'm happy opla gave them scenes together (uhhh not so much the fact that people see them romantically. it's obvious they wanted to make them romantic. please don't, netflix, i'm watching you) because they mean so much to me! they have this lesbian/gay solidarity and hostility (yes, at the same time) that i LOVE. i'm obsessed with zoro being all edgy-wannabe (he's just quiet lmfao his dramatic gay ass wanting to be a dark swordsman is so funny) and nami like "??? shut up you're just dumb". the fact that they argue and zoro complains about her manipulative behavior but still always helps her and saves her every time,,, that's so,,, i love them. i know we all say zoro is luffy's guard dog, but that's not true. zoro is luffy's cat and nami's guard dog. he stays behind nami protectively with a dark stare and nobody dares to approach her bc they know they'll die if they try to hurt his navigator. he'd never admit it out loud, tho, but he cares for her an insane amount. and she loves him too. thinking about them cuddling when it's too cold and zoro's just the perfect pillow!! zoro braiding nami's hair!!! nami helping him clean his swords!! they look after the other all the time,, and they are the ones that know luffy the best, of course they're going to be the first ones to talk things out together if something's wrong with him. also, my zolu shipper heart needs to say that nami would be the first one to find out about them. in every universe. i love them.
