Basic run down of the AU is this: Evil Mark (Wasp) trying to make Mark worse, while Mark tries making Wasp better. They both think that the other is the weakest version of themselves. They hate each other, they hate themselves, and cain instinct is set on truly homicidal levels of hostility. Everyone looks on in horror, confusion, plenty of concern, and slight, fleeting understanding.

Steve could only handle being social a few days in a row before he needed a break. It wasn’t a new thing, quite an old thing really, but now he had people that noticed.

Gone were the days that he’d disappear from a swim meet to recharge alone in his room for the weekend. Gone were the times he’d go full weeks without talking to anyone over the summer when his friends were off on vacation and he was alone at home.

Now, he had Robin that needed to talk to him every day to make sure he wasn’t concussing himself or otherwise being harmed. He had Eddie picking his locks every third day of him going AWOL to check on him. Even Phil had upped his ante and now pulled him over at least once a week for shits and giggles.

Steve loved it, it made him feel loved. But… he also hated it. He just needed time to himself to recharge after faking it and entertaining all the time. One day, he was going to snap under their love and his cheerful facade would splinter. And one day was coming soon.

omfggg so i spoke of the thalia and percy parallel of sacrificing themselves for grover & annabeth BUT right before that we had annabeth trying to sacrifice herself for percy and grover just like sally!!!! and just a while ago, i was talking about this section from the lightning thief:

just thinking of how percy’s mind would have immediately jumped to his mother and thought he was about to lose annabeth too, someone he was just beginning to become friends with and he NEEDED to prevent that, he needed to act differently and that in his mind was sacrificing his ownself instead (just like thalia–the one he is referencing in the excerpt above) and omg the parallel comes. full. circle.

Also sorry for the temporary delay! Basically last week my phone completely died. I'd had it for 6 years so it was at the end of its lifespan, the battery suddenly went from 80% to 10% in the span of about 20 minutes and wouldn't charge, so I had to go buy a new one (and communicated with my family via skype in the meantime, and used my microwave as a wake up alarm, improve adapt overcome lmao)

Unfortunately since I was logged out on PC and I use 2FA, which is unique to the device it's implemented on, I quickly realized I was totally locked out of my Tumblr, but staff came through for me in less than 12 hours and helped me switch to 2FA on my new phone.
