Hey @netflix do you remember tweeting this? Because I remember when you tweeted this!

We're still waiting for you to be "so annoying" about them. Maybe a good place to start is renewing Dead Boy Detectives!
You and @warnerbrostv need to put your heads together and figure out a way to do right by this incredible show and its creatives. Customers are sick and tired of the "Netflix Graveyard" sending poignant stories with great LBGTQ+ representation to an early grave. Queer stories deserve to be told, and the people who feel seen by them enjoy to have closure. We pay the subscription fees that everyone else pays, so have a little integrity!
LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS. Everyone from the fans to critics to journalists and pop-culture sources has been screaming about this show's worth, and you two are the only ones who fail to see it! Open your eyes and know a good thing when you have it; Dead Boy Detectives is a hit, people love it and want more of it, so it's a guaranteed profitable investment long-term.
You already have season 2 scripts @netflix and @warnerbrostv, so make it happen!

🤕 No pain, no gain 🤕
There's an old saying that goes something like:

You know, the idea that everything ultimately has a cost and nothing in life is truly free.
In this context, the comment @auburncurlslass under my Saturday note gave me food for thought:
Another thought…..how did the B list actress score a seat next to the lead A list actor?? Does Bradley really know Caitriona? If so, how or what is the connection?🧐🧐🧐🧐
*** *** ***
Perhaps my reasoning is too simple, too simplistic. Perhaps the flow of my associations is also too simplistic, perhaps by simplifying I am making a mistake in my reasoning. I take this into account. Especially since I'm making my argument based on a few photos published on Instagram, not based on hard data. But what do we see from a few photos on Instagram?
(By the way, let's not forget that Sam flew to the USA at the time, so there's no doubt that Sam and Caitriona lead completely separate lives and have nothing in common. After all, nobody remembers that they both dropped off the radar in previous weeks. Sure, they weren't in the SM, but they couldn't have been together in real life at the time, as they lead completely separate lives, as they have repeatedly emphasised).
*** *** ***
Well, the course of events, reconstructed from several photos published on Instagram, is that on Wednesday 29 November 2023, Caitriona was standing (with a strange expression on her face) next to a half-dead and unwashed PA (a man who has always and for years had no career and no social media presence). She allowed her (and her PA's) photograph to be taken and published by GettyImages.

They appeared together at the special screening after party for 'Leave The World Behind'.
By the way, isn't the title significant?
This is proof #1.
*** *** ***
Two days later, on Friday 2 December 2023, a completely transformed Cait, with a beaming smile on her relaxed face, poses for a photo with the actress who plays one of the main roles in the film 'Maestro', Carey Mulligan.

We later learn that Cait was invited to an 'intimate lunch' organised by agency Finch+Partners to celebrate #MaestroFilm, directed and starring Bradley Cooper.

[Side note: ‚Maestro’ centers on the relationship between American composer Leonard Bernstein and his wife Felicia Montealegre. The film stars Carey Mulligan as Montealegre alongside Cooper as Bernstein. The film was scheduled for a limited theatrical release on November 22, 2023, before streaming on Netflix on December 20. It received positive reviews from critics. Source: Wikipedia]
During the lunch, Caitriona sits at the table next to Cooper, in front of Carey Mulligan (can you think of a better place to sit at the table?) and laughs at the jokes Charles Finch tells. How did she get there?

This is evidence #2.

Of course, there's no sign of the PA at lunch, it's a meeting in a small circle of trusted people. Caitríona doesn't flinch nervously, but laughs out loud.

*** *** ***
I search Google for a while. The agency Finch+Partners has Lionsgate as a client.

As well as Chanel and DeBeers, among many others.

The connection between Finch+Partners, Cait and Lionsgate is obvious.
Could it be that Wednesday's PA photo was the price she paid for the opportunity to have lunch with Bradley Cooper?
No pain, no gain. And there's no such thing as a free lunch.
The Finch+Partners connection to Cait, Chanel and DeBeers is more fun.
It leads straight to Eleanor May Tomlinson, 31, an English actress.

After all, both Cait and Eleanor are kissing the same guy. This is bound to lead to some amusing associations.

... like the same jumpsuit from Finch+Partners client, Chanel.

*** *** ***
And two years earlier, a shared presence at DeBeers Jewellers London Flagship Store opening event (24 November 2021):
Without a doubt, this is a small world.
💰💰💰
And you see: obedience pays.
If you know your place in the ranks, listen to your bosses and stick to the script of your life written by psychopaths, you can expect to reap the rewards.
Lunching with Bradley Cooper.
Wearing the beautiful clothes of Chanel.

8 years have passed since Samurai Jack got back to the past...
so what's Genndy Tartakovsky been up to during that 8th year? Not to mention The Cartoon Network of course...
Jellystone!'s Season 4 opener "Cartoon Network vs. Jellystone! Crisis on Infinite Mirths", yet another CN crossover episode, was promoted at SDCC 2024 and premiered on HBO Max; the special will premiere on linear television at 10:30 AM Sunday, May 25th, 2025... only on Cartoon Network!
New Line Cinema has Sony Pictures Animation given back the rights for the 2D raunchy adult animated comedy Fixed as another cost-cutting move on Warner Bros. Discovery's part. It was likely to air on [as] with co-production by Cartoon Network Studios, but now it will stream on Netflix in August 2025, and pictures of the film are revealed.
Dexter's Laboratory: The Complete Series was released on DVD in stores featuring Dexter's Laboratory: Ego Trip, which was originally set for its own DVD release but decades later became part of the set.
Genndy Tartakovsky revealed some artwork and a part of the script for Sym-Bionic Titan Season 2's opener (technically Season 3 as CN promoted 2 seasons that make Season 1 up) on his Instagram account.
I got 2 Cartoon Network t-shirts that were not totally official CN merch but branded by Port & Company Ring Spun Fan Favorites.
AWorkersignited got #RIPCartoonNetwork trending although there wasn't any official news otherwise of CN in danger of shutting down. Cartoon Network also trended over "reheated leftovers" for Generation Alpha with more Regular Show content to come.
Primal Screen began to wrap production on their final works up and reincarnated as Space Monster Studio.
Toonami Rewind lasted from May 31st, 2024 to December 27, 2024 due to licensing fees for rerunning the 3 anime that they aired (Sailor Moon, Dragon Ball Z Kai, and Naruto). ACME Night hasn't been active since December 29, 2024, and the Cartoonito branding may end in the US by May 26, 2025.
Samurai Jack aired only 8 episodes of Season 1 on Checkered Past before it was pulled off; it's unknown if it'll return. What a Cartoon! including poor quality butchered prints sourced from The Cartoon Cartoons Show prints also started to occasionally air on the block as well as compilation episodes of Cartoon Planet (1997 version).
Invincible Fight Girl ended up airing on Toonami while Iyanu went to CN; the latter is the most successful Cartoon Network original (though entirely third-party and not even co-produced by the network at all) this year. Duck Dodgers (the series) as well as brief airings of Steven Universe and The Powerpuff Girls reran on CN on weekends. Totally Spies! Season 7 also aired on CN but with new actresses from Distribimage NYC instead of Jennifer Hale and friends due to issues regarding SAG-AFTRA union rates. The Venture Bros. reran from the pilot onward on [as] from August 11, 2024 to May 4, 2025 in celebration of that show's 20th anniversary.
Warner Bros. Discovery may spin some companies off but I'm not sure if Discovery is going to decide to split from WB yet or not.
Genndy Tartakovsky planned to attend a SCAD event but couldn't due to a storm.
Spumco/Ren & Stimpy veteran Jim Smith died as reported on May 2nd, 2025 (6 years after Chris Reccardi - also a Spumco/R&S and Samurai Jack veteran - died). The manliest artist in the world contributed storyboards and prop design to some episodes of Samurai Jack but mostly did character design for Season 2.
Lorenzo Estrada made some fake Uncle Grandpa "Powerhouse-era" Cartoon Network bumpers.
Some Cartoon Cartoons revival shorts are cancelled by WBDiscovery, and, after 4 years since new Gumball content, The Amazing World of Gumball (now titled The Wonderfully Weird World of Gumball) will stream exclusively on Hulu instead of airing on TV.
Craig McCracken, Mike Collins, Ricardo Delgado and Andy Bialk have their Twitter/X accounts deactivated probably due to political discourse.
I can't recall much else but I'll modify this post when I've more mental energy to focus.

First Look at Netflix Thai Original ‘The Believers’: Three Ambitious Entrepreneurs Turn Faith into Fortune

Fresh from the “bigger and bolder” reveal of the main cast at the Next on Netflix Thailand event, Netflix is now unveiling the first look stills of The Believers. Debuting on March 27, the series promises to take viewers on a unique business journey where faith has a price tag.
The Believers tells the tale of a group of young and ambitious entrepreneurs who, after a streak of failed startups, stumble upon an unorthodox "business opportunity" that could help them pay off substantial debt by capitalizing on people's religious convictions.
The trio includes Win (James Teeradon Supapunpinyo), a young computer engineer dropout who leads the team in marketing planning; his best friend, Dear (Ally Achiraya Nitibhon), a graphic designer who also oversees PR; and Game (Peach Pachara Chirathivat), an adventurous teenager who brings funding to the table. Together, they rebrand the lone Phummaram Temple, transforming it into a lucrative source of income. The series also features memorable characters like Monk Dol (Pup Patchai Pakdeesusuk), Tang (Tik Channarong Khantheethao) and Monk Ekachai (Petch Paophet Charoensook).
Wattanapong Wongwan, one of Thailand’s up-and-coming directors, took his inspiration for the series from his childhood. Born and raised in a Buddhist family, he visited temples on special occasions and learnt about the religion in school. Over time, as society evolved and his perspectives shifted, he began to question conventional beliefs, which prompted him to start drafting this series five years ago.
“At the beginning, the religion felt familiar to me, but through extensive research, I uncovered deeper insights that I had previously imagined,” he says. “As I developed the script, I observed society becoming more open-minded, with the very questions that intrigued me now emerging in contemporary discourse. Therefore, I believe the time has come to delve into the questions that have piqued my curiosity since childhood.”
Watch how faith turns into fortune on The Believers, premiering March 27, exclusively on Netflix.
#the believers#james teeradon#peach pachara#ally achiraya#petch paophet#sathu#สาธุ#asiandramasource#dailyasiandramas#lakornet#lakornsource#dailynetflix#me promoting a netflix thai original that is probably gonna be watched by 3 other people on tumblr? yes.

When you first entered the fandom, were you ever fooled into believing the narrative of Zutara's canonicity based on its online popularity?
Not really, but when I first rewatched the show in 2019 I went into it with an open mind. I was aware Zutara was a popular ship though, so I was lowkey wondering what that was about since I didn't remember the show EVER hinting at it.
Sure, I knew that fandoms can sometimes latch onto ideas, and ships, that are not at all backed up by the source material and convince themselves that it is totally canon just because they liked it, but I also took into account that:
1 - I was literally 6-years-old when I watched the show, so subtle stuff could have easily gone over my head.
2 - It had been over a decade since I had seen the show, so maybe I had just forgotten important stuff.
3 - I was a brazilian with no money and relying on my parents finding ways for us to watch cable TV without paying for it, so it was totally possible I had straight up never seen some episodes, and maybe said episodes hinted at Zutara.
So I checked for myself, as an adult, with easy access not just to the episodes but also to wikis, scripts, and interviews with the creators - and nothing I saw ever made it seem like there was any point in time in which Zuko and Katara getting together was a possibility.
Needless to say, once the show got a new popularity boost months later when it was put on Netflix, I was not surprised to see some zutara fans disappointed that the show was not like they remembered (and others doubling-down regardless) and that new fans were confused as hell since they were repeatedly told the show had heavily hinted at a Zuko and Katara romance and then found none of said hints anywhere because they didn't exist.

Review: The Last Airbender Episode 1 - “Aang”
“Long ago, the four nations lived in harm-”
Lol nope. What is it with writers these days fumbling exposition? You had a template, and you botched it.
I nitpicked the heck out of Disney’s Percy Jackson because if you say you’re going to adapt a book, it’s not a very far leap in logic to hope the script might follow said book. But aside from the likes of Twilight, following the source material as it was written never happens.
Netflix had an even easier job. Netflix already had the show they were adapting in a visual medium. Netflix could have gone two ways with this: Shot-for-shot remake just with live action actors, or with an “inspired by” vibe that takes familiar characters, story beats, and themes but tries to make something new with their shameless cash grab.
So, they wanted to take a beloved children’s cartoon and make it gritty and realistic… okay. Sure. No one asked for that and it shouldn’t be embarrassing for any adult to sit down and *gasp* watch a cartoon. For kids.
The original remains amazing, top-tier storytelling, so instead of these reviews stating the obvious “original did X better, why didn’t they do it that way?” we’ll look at the show as if the original didn’t exist… unless it just goes the route of Disney and Amazon and slaps a famous IP on the title screen without making any attempt to stay true to the original just to get butts in seats.
—
We open 100 years ago in Caldera (renamed generic Capital City) with a pretty decent fight scene and special effects. The choreography is solid, the tone is way darker – and so is the lighting, I had to shut the blinds and turn my laptop brightness all the way up – and it establishes pretty quickly that this is Not Your Kids Cartoon Anymore, even if the fight is bloodless.
*Side note: That no one has a Japanese accent in the Fire Nation is… surprising? I know it’s not actual Japan, I know the original didn’t have any accents, but that they’re going for the whole “gritty realism” vibe and didn’t white-wash the cast, not giving them any accent feels like a bit of a missed opportunity. Just the adults, even. Iroh had an accent in the cartoon.
The costumes are also amazing. The original is still a feat of animation but being able to see all the ornate detail in the costumes, particularly in the Fire Nation, is fantastic. The Water Tribe costumes don’t feel quite so lived-in. The colors are still vibrant, there’s no stains, no wear. They don’t reflect the weariness of a remote village still suffering the effects of a hundred-year-long war. Zuko’s scar doesn’t feel quite as gnarly as it could be, more like a very bad bruise and not the remnants of a 3rd degree burn (but at least it’s not on the wrong side). He still has his entire eyebrow and full visibility.
Sozin is amazing, too. Right off the bat he’s shown as clever, cunning, and violent. The original was limited by Nickelodeon’s censorship, so even though it was a kids’ show and they did amazing still scaring kids without showing the violence (like a graphic depiction of Zuko getting his scar), these are firebenders, and fire burns.
… Though if you’re twelve and watching this expecting a fun adventure, watching a man get burned alive in the first 5 minutes wakes you up right quick. I heard a rumor that they wanted to fill the Game of Thrones vacuum and, yeah, they went for it.
Is there a reason they didn’t lift the original opening narration straight from the old script? It was fine! It’s iconic! This feels like a student cracked open a thesaurus for their essay just to sound smarter. Gran Gran gets to deliver it and that is an... interesting choice.
They did salvage some of the original music, and hearing Aang’s theme and the foreboding horns of the Fire Nation theme redone was ear candy, along with the Sun Warrior chant in the end credits. During Aang’s escape from Zuko’s ship, however, the score sounded uncannily like the battle music from The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe.
*Side side note: One nitpick. One little nitpick, I think I’m allowed. Aang cannot fly without his staff. It’s a convenient and logical cap on his abilities and there was no reason to not keep it in.
On the one hand, opening the series with the Air Nomad genocide establishes immediately that the Fire Nation is led by an evil warmonger. On the other hand, slowly weaving in that exposition over the first few episodes, culminating with “The Storm” took what we thought was a lighthearted adventure and made it so much more. That reveal in “The Storm” still makes it one of the best episodes of the show.
Gyatso is perfect. The casting is perfect. “Gritty realism” or not, they did their homework on Gyatso. The only voice actor that left a hole not-quite filled is Iroh’s. He doesn’t quite sound like the wizened old sage, just… a guy. Through no fault of his actor’s, he’s solid, he’s just not quite Iroh.
—
While the worldbuilding is fine and all the extra additions in the beginning are entertaining… the original cartoon was limited to a cable-bound, 30-minute time slot, with commercials. They did their best to pack as much as they could within that time limit for every episode and you weren’t left wanting. It was also animated and every single frame cost money to draw. Creativity thrives in a box and not having endless Netflix money forced them to do the best with what they had.
With all this room and time to kill on Netflix it loses that tightly-woven polish. Scenes linger and add in dialogue that could have been concise and short. This show marinates, where the original was multitasking in every shot – developing the characters, the world, the story, the lore, the relationships.
In the time it took an entire animated episode, this show front-loaded all the exposition and mysteries to be slowly teased and solved through the first half of the season. We’re not left wondering how Aang survived the Air Nomad massacre. We’re not wondering why he wasn’t there, we’re not wondering who he is and slowly learning him with each episode. Curious now if the “The Storm” episode will even exist.
When Aang takes Sokka and Katara to the Southern Air Temple, neither know exactly what happened beyond that it was bad, and Aang has no clue his people have been destroyed, that it’s been 100 years. This time, the trio and the audience already have that information so the oomph of seeing the aftermath, of seeing Gyatso, doesn’t hit as hard as it should.
The themes, the personalities, the motivations of the characters so far still feel like them, even with all the extra fluff. Aang remains a reluctant chosen one, a twelve-year old with too much responsibility on his shoulders – even if he explicitly ran away after eavesdropping on Gyato’s conversation about sending him away and didn’t just happen to be gone while his home was destroyed.
Everyone except Iroh, which is a shame. He reads less as a “concerned surrogate father figure trying to raise an angsty, bratty, entitled teenager” and more “old man who’s too old for his nephew’s BS so he patronizes instead of showing any genuine support.”
About the only major element that didn’t get the love it deserves is the humor. Aang’s abrupt “will you go penguin sledding with me?” right after he wakes up is just one of many missing lines. Game of Thrones had plenty of funny characters, a show can be gritty *and* funny and he’s still twelve, he’s allowed to be a little cringey and ridiculous.
For a shameless cash grab remake that lost the original writers and took forever to finally air, this is a lot better than I expected it to be. The script isn’t perfect and there’s some lines that aren’t well-executed, but no actor phoned in their performance and visually it looks amazing. The writers did their homework and, so far, even if they refuse to make it a kids’ show, they’re still making Avatar: The Last Airbender.

Proudly not watching NATLA. I don't really care what changes they made, whether it had been entirely the same or another hilarious fuck-up like the non-existent movie. Like whatever they did to fuck up the story I get if you're invested in the adaptation so fair enough
What I actually care about is the fact that it even exists at all. Even with the very rare cases where it actually brings something worthwhile to the work (I hear the Netflix One Piece is good? idk), why bother adapting animation to live action? Because nearly every time there is no artistic motivation to do so at all, merely the blatant cynicism and that sneering reduction of animation in the entertainment industry as just "the means of making cheap children's cartoons" that just refuses to fucking die already.
In general I find adaptation to rarely justify itself artistically, especially if the source material was really bloody good already. Of course great adaptations exist, sometimes from elevating/subverting it's source (or in the case of Starship Troopers for example, taking the everliving piss out of a pile of shit), sometimes merely by translating the work into a new medium that lead to interesting new avenues for expression and storytelling provided by the change in medium (and by this I mean wholly different mediums, like between book/videogame/film or show/play), or both.
Changing between live-action and animation as a means of making film/TV is not a big change in medium to provide entirely new storytelling opportunities, BUT 99% of the time, animation is more effective. Casting is never dependent on an actor's irl appearance, the method of animation can even be changed at any point to serve a function, animation (with sufficient time, resources and passion) allows total control over the entire visual presentation of the work. And by such total control over the presentation alone, suddenly you are open to an infinity of possibilities in choreography, character expression, visual comedy, tone, colour, environment etc. etc. You are no longer limited by what can be captured in physical reality on a screen in any one take. You are limited by what you can fit on a 2D screen.
What we call live action today in mainstream media is not really live action, it's in large part a corporate compromise to extend just past the financial and physical limitations of practical effects to achieve whatever the script needs the screen to do via CGI. Which is just 3D animation, but it's completely focused on adhering to a visual realism. Of course extremely good and thoughtfully presented live action works still exists; if it's filmed and/or presented thoughtfully and meticulously enough, then it can be similarly poignant as an excellent work of animation. But outside of like, auteurs, this does not usually happen.
This particular example is not from some troubled source material with lost potential or any severe caveats in visual presentation. This is fucking. ATLA. Like, the animation isn't as massively funded as a Disney Renaissance ig?? But for 2000s cartoons, it was insanely forward and completely holds up today, it's still cherished today. And ATLA in general was a masterpiece. It still IS a masterpiece!! It hasn't gone and fucking died in need of a replacement!!!
So there's just no way I can see it worth my time to dedicate my time to an inferior version of an awesome show that already exists.
It's just obvious that this show only exists so Nickelodeon can boost the profitability of [BRAND]. Love to the good honest crew and actors for the show, love that they're carrying out childhood dreams and getting to do promos with the original VAs and all. Wake me up when the animated ATLA films come out.

I watched the Netflix Avatar the Laster Airbender series and wrote down all my thoughts.
Overall: 6/10
I think the casting was good, the effects were impressive, the costumes and sets overall looked great. I can believe that someone at least skimmed the source material.
The story seems weirdly rushed and really slow in odd parts? I didn’t want a shot for shot remake of the show, but it’s, we’ll say
/interesting/ to learn what Netflix has decided are important pieces of story they want to draw out and which characters are given spotlight.
From a story perspective, it feels like they took someone who saw the animated series several years ago and asked them to retell the story from memory. There’s a lot of recognizable content for fans but it does feel disjointed because of which stories they chose to combine.
Thoughts below the thing. No context given, spoilers but I don’t think they make much sense. If I spelled anything wrong, it’s speech to text and I barely proof read
Why are they excited to see him do that? They are also Airbenders.
Do they not have sky bison?
Okay I actually like Gyatzo and Aangs dynamic
How long until the comet comes this is awfully close
Man really trying to shove character into exposition here
Good tension
She should have kept fighting with him
That actually sounded pretty convincing
Little early to be spouting that kind of wisdom Iroh
Why are they having? Why are they saying this? Why put it directly into the script you already had your opening?
It’s kind of sad that they took this realization from Kara
It’s kind of sad that they had to steam roll Aangs optimism about this kind of stuff for the sake of time
really took away the heaviness of the fire nation boat, especially when it’s Katara‘s hideout now and not fully forbidden
Love that they wanted to do over on the waters sphere from the first live action
Well, it’s been like 30 seconds and you didn’t really wanna make a lot of chitchat
I like the effects they’re very good
I’m kind of sad they’re forced to exposition a lot of this. I feel like a lot of it. It would be really good to get this kind of slower but again I get it.
OK, he is a prisoner and you suspect that he will be brutally tortured. This is too casual.
OK, I think he’d probably noticed that he was literally working on it
Interesting they had him talk himself down instead of Katara
Way to… “things happen for a reason Katara”
Hey that was a joke
What an odd way to turn around. But we are getting a sense of Zuko’s youngness?
He just rode off on a sky bison. What are you talking about?
So they don’t have a plan anymore. Their original thing was that they were going to go to the northern water tribe so Aang could learn water bending with Kotara and Kiyoshi was a stop on the way.
Though they did get lost
It’s like they’re trying to make jokes With Sokka, but it’s not working
OK, well I guess we’re not getting the pirate episode
Interesting they just came back on for information instead of a destroyed boat
Zuko was excellently cast
Well, there’s a remnants of the misogyny they forgot to scrub
The Kyoshi warrior uniforms look really good
Did they remove Suki as the leader of the Koshi Warriors?
I don’t know how to feel about Suki
And I don’t know how to feel about the interaction either because 1/2 of it was flirting
Why? how is this a good cover?
If that’s your cover, Iroh should’ve been the one to ask
Man, they really did just put themselves on the sus list
This is very nitpicky, but I kind of wish that he was excited to learn from her
I know it’s not just I don’t wanna learn from her, but it’s kind of sad because he was very much excited to learn from her
OK, well they’re gonna keep using his air bending as like levitation so we’ll see how useful this ends up being in this version
Well, just kind of takes the wind out of Suki because she’s not really proud to be where she is
They kinda gave her the I want more role, which is fine, but a big part of her is her being incredibly proud of who she is and what she’s done
God she’s trying to impress him
This is an interesting take on his peer’s perception of him
Oh, is this a mix from the avatar day episode too?
I can’t remember how he learned that in the show.
What does this random guy know that?
Oh, this is the “she teaches him and he’s immediately better than her and then she becomes his sidekick” trope
Oh, they really sped run this control over going the spirit world
Does he know her name yet?
They really nuked Suki.
Wait are you telling me that was the avatar state?
Kyoshi was more chill in the series. Or I guess more level headed
I guess that’s on par with what Kyoshi was
They moved Katara protecting Aang and while he’s in the avatar state from the northern water tribe episode
Are they gonna try and do it again later?
So much for sacrifice, Aang doesn’t even want to leave.
I guess he did have a good few love interests but they really playing it up
Oh, and also training water bending like it’s the second thought or something
What was Zuko about to say?
They making him seem larger and intimidating
It’s the honor student
Is that Azula?
Is this foreshadowing ba sing se that I see?
I didn’t expect Ozai to wanna get his hands dirty so soon
I guess this is how they convey the propaganda parts of the fire nation
I don’t know who he’s referring to when he says that.
He’s talking about Zuko
Were they not able to recognize her with her hair up?
So do they know already?
Well, actually, you asked him to catch the avatar and he hasn’t done that yet
I don’t like Aang and Katar‘s dynamic yet
Did he already know water bending because he’s kind of teaching her?
I think the creators forgot that we are also supposed to laugh at Sokka instead of Aang and Katara just doing that
Is this jet?
Okay well there goes that plot thread
New Azula seems really outwardly insecure
That shot lasted for way too long. You should’ve cut it.
Wait a minute they’re doing the secret tunnel
So what are they trying to do with a blimp?
Because cabbage man is so iconic
Does she know who she is? I don’t think he saw her.
The fighting sequences look OK
Oh man, they really over blew that one
I don’t know what storyline they’re taking this from
But they were looking for a fire bender, a thing that he definitely isn’t
Are they doing the blue spirit?
Where is Katara?
Why? what?
Hey, Flopsy!
OK, well no mystery with Bumi then
OK, well he’s a different kind of crazy now
Is Bumi jealous of him?
It sounds like you have too Aang
Do we get the secret tunnel song?
The subtitles suggest that both Oma and Shu were women and I don’t know if they did that on purpose
Really skipping over the whole journey there I know probably for time but it’s very odd to have someone that is not Katara read it
Oh, it’s this bit. Do you think Zuko’s going to find him with a sandal?
No, just the lotus tile
But he doesn’t know earth bending yet?
Yeah, what is he trying to prove?
Whose characteristics does Bumi have now?
If the traveler knew that, why didn’t they just tell them instead of the stupid hints?
This Katara seems sadder? And I’m not really sure what it’s doing for the story or her character.
Well, that was unnecessary
OK more exposition, it’s fine. We’re eating a broccoli.
He was a general
Really developing Zuko and Irohs past which is touching
Well, he’s already the avatar so that’s not really necessary
Hey, there’s no real reason for that again he’s already the avatar. I don’t really know what point you’re trying to
Wait, so the crystals are fully wrong?
So they wanted both of the reasons that they got out of the cave why not just pick one?
OK, so he’s angry? Why he didn’t really have control over that
Also, I like how Bumi is just fully willing to kill the avatar
Well, at least the fight is familiar to
Already?
I mean, I guess
Are we meeting haibi?
Man, it’s like they sporadically remember he’s supposed to be funny
Well, that’s that reference
Are we getting the blue spirit soon with the archers?
kind of undermining Azula being a prodigy.
Oh well, this is new
Zuko is funnier than Sokka
OK, so they skipped over that episode funny the play did too
Hey, it’s June
Ew? That is the exact exact opposite of how it was but sure
OK, so straight frogs are common
Is that oh? Isn’t he supposed to be in the library?
This Azula is very emotional
It seems like Iroh is the one finding the avatar
I think that was supposed to be funny
Is the fox supposed to be hot for him?
This series is the story of Sokka
You can hardly call them jokes
Oh, I thought Aang was supposed to see the vision of Toph
And we haven’t met Yue yet
So did she just lose her face?
Okay rearranging things, sure
OK, so there goes his credibility
Did they both just lose their faces?
Oh, it’s this storyline now interesting that they splice it in
I don’t know why he thought that would be a good idea. He’s very much in Fire nation territory.
So how does how does she originally do the tracking?
And how do they know the thing they picked up is relevant?
I’m so confused how do you know how to do this also wasn’t it Roku, who was the original one to help him out because he was the avatar before him
And you just stole it for funzies?
Oh, is that guy outside bacon now?
why would you go out that way?
is June going to give him a peptalk?
Who are these guys
And yet you didn’t use them
I can’t believe he’s doing like a customer service survey
Damn shot for shot on this
You stole like 2 pages
Wow exposition exposition
Does Aang still have that totem on him?
Okay that was actually funny
Ozai would never admit to that
Say it louder so everyone knows what zuko did.
I think they’ve used everything around the pirate episode
About 30 seconds
Did they ship in earth benders for her to beat up?
Was as she a bender in the show?
Why didnt they have paku tell her that?
What do much for Yue respecting her duties
Why didn’t he see Kuruk before koh?
I don’t know anything about Kuruk except his wife got face stolen
This is a very odd lesson of “you must walk this journey alone”
Ummm why is this important now?
Why is she telling him this
Uhh what
That’s a bad plan and no well thought out
if that means Azula? They haven’t really shown her to be as one of her main characteristics.
Is he grading her?
Why does she know how to do that?
Who taught her that
I guess i’m glad Sokka is supportive, but I’m kind of upset that she needs that kind of support every 30 seconds or else she can’t function
Well, they really had to tone down this battle
And she just accepts that?
Uh yeah she did loose, it’s fine but she did
That’s great but why though
Uhhh were just gonna say he’s the plan guy?
What thing did he have to do?
More blasting jelly?
Also idk if they made the connection that sai made those. I guess the balloon model
Katara wasn’t even the one to convince him to respect her. She sort of inspired people to do it for her. Kind of
Ummm, he knows she has no war training
Yeah she’s not,
Uhhh it what now?
Wait huh? Is that the story from the series? We learned that from koh
Speak a little faster please
Umm did they just give Irohs speech to Kuruk
I guess they got bored of animating the lemur
Theyre gonna ask the moon spirit to heal a lemur?
Is this supposed to be tense?
Or is this just how we got into the sanctuary
Is that different from your current plan?
So where did her skill come from? We haven’t seen her be taught?
Actually she didn’t, that comment didn’t make any sense
This Ozai yeah
He should totally kill the moon spirit while he’s got it in his hands
These characters really like to talk
Is Aang going to become the moon spirit?
Is this because he doesn’t know how to water bend so it can’t be him doing this?
Well, they really nailed Zuko being a hothead
Does he mean Azula? Who is he talking about?
I’m sure that’s true, but Azula is supposed to be a prodigy
Why not make momo give his life back?
They really said Iroh is a spiritual master and then gave him nothing to do with it
Yeah, a thing he’s not started at all
Man these guys really love the single year down the cheek
Again? Ozai really only tries the “wait what’s that over there” technique
It’s an Ozai sandwich, why did we cut away

Hi @netflix and @warnerbrostv! I'd like to talk about the show Supernatural and how its history and legacy can provide some insight on why you should reconsider your decision to end Dead Boy Detectives after one singular season.
Supernatural is undoubtedly one of the most successful television fantasy franchises, but many don't know that it was nearly cancelled after season 2. Thankfully (and luckily) for the network they didn't go through with cancelling the show and by season 4 it was regularly breaking viewership records. A show that was nearly cut short in its prime - much like Dead Boy Detectives - became one of the largest and most recognizable fandoms across social media platforms between the years of 2010 and 2014. The show was so wildly popular that a confession scene between two of its leading characters (Dean and Cas) is STILL used today in a meme format to circulate everything from fandom news to world politics and current events. You can't go to a single comic-con without running into something relating to Supernatural, and ever since its conclusion there has been an opening in the market for a show to take its place.
I can say with absolute certainty that, given the proper time to flourish, Dead Boy Detectives would be the show to fill the spot Supernatural has left behind. It has loads of charm alongside a sensational balance of action, whimsy, heartwrenching character development, and horror. Furthermore it is objectively better with representation than Supernatural was, which is always something embraced in fandom spaces (which are diverse and filled to the brim with queer, neurodivergent, and/or a wide range of people of color).
I also think it's fair to remind you that one of your most popular "Nerd" shows, Stranger Things, is coming to an end after a 10-year-run, leaving behind yet another gap to fill, but this time on your very own platform.
It isn't too late to reconsider the cancellation of Dead Boy Detectives. The fanbase is dedicated and hungry for more, and we know you are currently sitting on finished season 2 scripts, making it impossible for the writers to take this story anywhere else for quite some time. The scripts are there, the cast, crew, and writers love what they do and want to make more... there's simply no reason to not give Dead Boy Detectives the chance it deserves - this time with an entire fandom that wants nothing more than to consume this show, market the hell out of it, and buy merch relating to it (another win for you).

(Source x)
Oh and did I mention that Steve Yockey was a co-producer on Supernatural as well? You know, that wildly popular show I just told you about that lasted 15 seasons. You are sitting on a golden goose; Steve Yockey and Beth Schwartz, among the other talented writers, cast, and crew, know what they're doing.
Give this show its time and market it well and you will have a hit on your hands. Frankly just based on the steady, continual fandom growth since Dead Boy Detectives' release in April and the vocal outrage over its cancellation just in the last 24 hours, I'd argue you already have a hit on your hands that rivals several shows you currently have on your platform.
Dead Boy Detectives has one of the most active fandoms of the year - do the right thing by them and bring Dead Boy Detectives back. It isn't too late!

There’s no doubt that Python is a language on the rise in the world of programming. The multi-purpose, high-level, and object-oriented programming language can be used to develop just about anything, thanks to its numerous diverse features.Designed by a Dutch programmer, Guido Van Rossum in 1991, Python has consistently gained ground and now dominates top programming languages such as Java, C, and C++. Many programmers love its concise, modular and simplistic approach.Today, it’s popularly used in web development, system administration, artificial intelligence, data analysis, scientific computing, and game development industries. In this article, we explain seven reasons why python will continue to rule for the foreseeable future.Python is PopularPopularity is an understatement when it comes to the python programming language. Recent data shows that more than 30,000 people search for the language every month. Some of the reasons behind this growing popularity are because it is beginner-friendly, versatile, and boasts a pseudo-code nature.Python has a friendly, simple, and easy-to-learn syntax that even complete beginners will find easy to master. Just by looking at the code, you can comprehend what it is supposed to do, something most other programming languages can’t promise. It’s also versatile and multi-purpose in the sense that it has packages to do just about everything. Some of the popular ones include SciPy for tech, computations, engineering, and NumPy to crunch numbers, matrices, and vectors. For tasks related to AI, there is Scikit-Learn and Pandas to help with data analysis and manipulation.Strong and Supportive CommunityWith the growing popularity comes a huge community of Python coders with solutions for any imaginable problem. There are also plenty of Python for beginners’ tutorials, documentations, and guides to help programmers handle their projects and beginners to learn the ropes. The rich community with millions of software programmers and developers from all corners of the world means you never have to worry about lacking help and support. Python is surely evolving into a more agile, more refined, and efficient software capable of handling future problems.Open-SourcePython is free for all to use in the sense that it is open-source. What this means is that its source code is available publicly and anyone can use it directly or modify it to suit their programming needs.Besides, you are allowed to distribute copies of the software freely. This may seem insignificant but with open-source software, there are endless possibilities.Python is Used by Tech GiantsNumerous top tech companies are now turning to Python to test and develop their core applications. Some of the most notable players who’ve joined the league include Google, NASA, YouTube, PayPal, Facebook, Netflix, and Reddit.A good example is NASA whose open-source projects such as API, WAS, EVEREST, and APOD are founded on the Python programming language. YouTube also recently started implementing it to manage website templates, video streaming, and obtaining authoritative data.Another large organization that is heavily relying on Python is Walt Disney. The company now uses it as a scripting language for its production and animation-related tasks.Cross-Platform LanguagePython is widely considered to be a portable language because it runs smoothly in various operating systems such as Linux, Windows, Mac, and Ubuntu. But that’s not all; if you entered your code on the Linux platform, you can run it on a Windows or Mac platform. This means you don’t need to make any changes to your code for it to run on another platform. This alone is a timesaver for many coders as it makes application building easier and fuss-free.An Education’s LanguageThe education sector continues to evolve quickly and part of that is the integration of coding in classrooms aimed at equipping students with skills for the future.Python is naturally the language of choice for schools and institutions taking this route and it’s easy to see why.
The language is designed with simple syntax and descriptions that make it user-friendly and easy to use. It also prioritizes user experience which makes it ideal for teaching. Finally, it’s free to use, saving learning institutions millions of dollars that would have otherwise gone to acquire licenses. An Extensive LibraryPython programming language comes with a massive standard library that eliminates the need to write a code or function. This library contains pre-written codes and inbuilt functions that you can use for almost everything. Again this is another huge time-saver, especially for new programmers.Python is Here to Stay!Python is powerful, easy to learn and use, and comes with numerous high-level built-in packages and libraries that make building applications and scripts simple. More importantly, it costs little to use and support is in plenty. If these reasons won’t convince you that it’s one for the future, then we’re not sure what will!

Here are a few key reasons why Python is indispensable today:
1. Beginner-Friendly Syntax
Python is often recommended as the first programming language for beginners. Its clean, English-like syntax lowers the barrier to entry and allows new coders to focus on problem-solving rather than complex code structures.
2. Versatility Across Domains
Python isn’t confined to just one field. It’s widely used in:
Web development (using frameworks like Django and Flask)
Data science and analytics (via libraries like Pandas and NumPy)
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (through TensorFlow, Scikit-learn)
Automation and scripting
Cybersecurity, game development, and more
Wherever technology is present, chances are, Python has a role to play.
3. Strong Community and Open-Source Libraries
Python boasts one of the most active developer communities. Whether you are troubleshooting an issue or exploring new ways to build applications, the Python community is there to support. Additionally, Python’s open-source nature has led to the development of thousands of libraries and frameworks that reduce the time and effort needed to build powerful applications.
4. Support for Emerging Technologies
In a world that’s constantly evolving with AI, big data, and automation, Python stands out as the preferred language for innovation. Most AI and machine learning frameworks are written in or support Python, making it a must-learn for those who want to work in these cutting-edge domains.
5. Industry Demand and Career Opportunities
Proficiency in Python is highly sought-after in the job market. Tech giants such as Google, Netflix, and Facebook frequently list Python as a core skill in their job postings. Whether you are a backend developer, data analyst, or automation engineer, Python programming gives you a competitive edge.
6. Cross-Platform Compatibility
Python runs on all major operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux. This makes it easier for developers to write code that is portable and adaptable across different environments.
7. Educational Adoption
Python is now a fundamental part of curriculums in schools and universities. Educational platforms like Coursera, Udemy, and even schools are adopting Python programming to teach coding, due to its ease and effectiveness in explaining computational logic.
ConclusionIn today’s tech-driven era, understanding what is Python and mastering its application can create a world of opportunities. Whether you are launching your career, pivoting into a new field, or simply exploring the digital world, Python is an essential tool that empowers you to create, innovate, and stay relevant.
