So, fast background: It still bugs me a bit that Decay isn't Tomura Shigaraki's natural quirk.😔 There were some great parallels between him and Eri that I really liked. However, I adapted!🎉 And now I'm going to share! 'Cause that's what you do on this hellsite!😈 Mwhaha! Enjoy this short excerpt from my fic Indomitable Will. (Context: Tomura's decided to put AFO down for good and is deep-diving KingdomHearts style, and interacting with stolen quirk vestiges.)

This quirk looked so broken. Hunched shoulders, too skinny with a jutting collarbone and visible ribs, badly cut hair all clumpy and unkempt, knobby fingers covering its face like a weeping angel. Its edges were in a constant state of fraying. 

Or Decaying.

“You caused me a lot of problems, you know,” he told it quietly. The quirk huddled in on itself even more, trembling from head to toe. “My family, my dog, my favorite controller… all of them dust. But it’s not like you had a choice either. You didn’t pick me. You weren’t even whole. But… looking back, I think you at least tried your best to keep me safe.”

The trembling didn’t stop, but the covered face turned toward him.

“Half of the problem was me. I was always fighting you, subconsciously rejecting you. I mean, kinda obvious why, but it didn’t really help me. You know what, though?” And now Tomura smiled again, the memory of Deika City still a shining moment for him. “We were pretty badass once we got in sync.”

The quirk stood up straight, lowering its fingers enough to peer at him with dull eyes the same color as his. 

Tomura held out his free hand. “This time, let’s choose each other. I want you. No one fits me better than you. We’re two pieces broken by the same hand, two things reshaped to become weapons and not allowed to become more. No one understands us better than we do. Please, be my partner again?”

Decay skipped shaking his hand and instead threw itself at him, wrapping twiggy arms around his neck and pressing its face against his chest. Tomura bit his lip so he didn’t make any more pathetic noises and hugged his quirk as tightly as he could. “I missed you,” he admitted. “Thank you.” 

A breath, then Decay slipped back inside him, settling under his skin like a contented cat. And it didn’t itch at all.

Tomura felt whole for the first time in months.

Izuku: In between “it’s an avocado, thanks” and “how did you defeat Captain America”, but as a solid answer I would say “I don’t need a degree to be a clothing hanger”. How about you, Second?

Second: Probably “road work ahead”.

Third : I speak many languages, and this is none of them.

Shinso sighed, eerily similar to the one Shouta had done a minute or so ago. “Of course it was,” he mumbled quietly.

⚡ Kaminari Denki Has One For All ⚡

This can go one of two ways with Good All Might or ass might.

Good All Might: like canon or maybe better than canon, maybe he asks for help earlier, has Kaminari wear protective gear when cleaning the trash beach, tells the conditions of the quirk BEFORE giving it away, listens to what his successor wants, doesn't try to make Kaminari the next symbol, let's Kaminari have a support system, also REALIZING THE SECRET AND QUIRK ARE NOW HIS SUCCESSOR’S AND NOT HIS (as you can see I think All Might could improve lol)

ass might: y'know how it goes quirkist, oblivious, super self-centered, all he cares about is killing AFO, worst teacher, only wants Kaminari for his flashy quirk, doesn't take what his successor wants in to account, and what he says goes or he gets pissed

With either one I think our resident green analyst would help Kaminari with OFA.

Also with either one (ik some people do but I don't like sir nighteye) I don't think Nighteye would approve of Kaminari. Like at all.

I would have Kaminari do work studies with someone else but somehow be a part of the Shie Hassaikai raid. Or he doesn't have to be and has his own stuff going on.

The vestiges being there early has comedic potential. Like Kaminari is just like: ‘quirk’s fucking haunted!’

Also with Aizawa noticing something off and how distracted Kaminari is bc of them.

So I have this amazing fanfic idea, hear me out:

The society is split between heroes, the defenders of justice, and villains, the masters of instilling fear.

Deku is a wicked villain who runs a large corporation, seen by the media as a rich playboy. He nurtures plans to destroy the hero system.

All Might learns that the Hero Association is run by extraordinary people who control the world from the shadows. They founded the Hero Association to turn everyone's admiration for heroes into a religion, so they can hide their crimes and keep people unaware of the true problems that plague the world.

All Might confronts them but tragically dies, falling victim to their evil schemes.

His successor, Lemillion, learns about this and decides to fight against them.

He gets mortally wounded in a battle, and in his last dying breath, passes his quirk to Dynamight.

Katsuki’s quirk merges with OFA and he defeats this villainous organization.

He and his friends become the new Symbols of Hope, while the hero profession takes on a new meaning – it stops being about fame, power and prestige and becomes about upholding honor, virtue and helping those in need first.

Villain Deku had been observing this whole spectacle from the shadows. He flees to another Universe using a time-travel machine, but gets intercepted by heroes and accidentally messes up the controls, waking up in the present Universe of My Hero Academia. There, he’s All Might’s successor, and Dynamight isn’t his archenemy, but a childhood rival instead

The Hero Association isn't controlled by some dark shady group either... Or is it?

Deku has to navigate in this new reality, and this is where the story begins.
