Ok so I know I’ve taken a few liberties here with gijinka-fying the Rampaging Doomers, of all characters, but hear me out: self-recognition through the other (derogatory). Not just a reminder of the part of himself he doesn’t like to acknowledge but also a near-perfect replication of him at his worst (Magolor EX, specifically). They know enough about Doomer and Ancient societies and his situation with the Crown to get right to the heart of his insecurities, which makes them really effective at bullying him. Also like. Extended family judging you for your life choices lol

Anyway, included the lines this time cause I’m really proud of the composition but a bit disappointed with how the coloring turned out. It did however help me pinpoint what I’d like to improve on, which is my coloring/shading. I think I get into details too quickly to the detriment of the piece as a whole and I also think the way I shade doesn’t have enough contrast and doesn’t take light sources into account very well. I just need to do some painting studies sometime and that will fix me, I swear

I vaguely know the comics sort of answers the recovery question but like what happened with the book authors? Why is the only mention of her name drops as if they’re strangers? It just always made sense to me that they'd be YOUR toons, but now that I think about it, I've never seen anything implicitly stating that you made them...

very sorry to disappoint, but they're not! I didn't have anything to do with their creation or writing, they're canonical ttcc toons! I'm just a big fan of them, although I have captured them in a giant net like this

Started drifting way too early while out at dinner with a group of people (whom I haven't seen in ages). Sleep last night was weird. Woke up in the morning feeling exhausted. Remained fuzzy headed even after coffee #1 and breakfast.

Realized by midday -- UGH, being in contact with so many humans (rather than hiding away at home) has made me catch a mild cold. Partner in crime started feeling exhausted.

Had a second coffee and felt only moderately more coherent.

Canceled all plans for today.

Bummer.

Absolutely required a nap from 715pm to 745pm.

Have been puttering around since then, accepting the fact that it is an unproductive day through and through.

No signs of this mild cold getting worse. It is pretty steady. Slow to come on and just sort of hanging around in a steady state of annoyance.

Head feels stuffy. Sneezing way too much otherwise just that stuffy slow feeling.

Hopefully this goes away quickly.

It is annoying to me to be so brain dead and tired while rattling around and drinking tea.

i like er as a whole but some of the shit it does is literally inexcusable

enemies that instantly turn to face you with literally any attack, even in the air when you think you would be safe

enemies that track you perfectly for 30+ full seconds after you hide behind a wall, making breaking line of sight functionally worthless

also their projectiles curve to hit you, while player arrows will miss an enemy who strafes even a little bit and as slowly as possible

status effects hit through shields (and rolls on occasion, but always during pvp), including bleed

complete nonsense """puzzle""" design at times. at least thats the only thing i can think to call the bullshit that is ordina. what do you MEAN i need to have already purchased a torch from a specific out of the way merchant 3 areas ago in order to even see the enemies in this area. Are they stupid?

making 3 entire areas with scarlet rot spam and only a limited number of cures for it unless you want to farm the finite item from dogs for a 3% drop rate (i already know about flame cleanse me. i shouldn't have to lose a spell slot on my co-op build just in case i get summoned to lake of rot.)

similarly mohgs second fight is shit because you also just have to already have an item from a (nearly) completely unrelated npc's questline in order to survive a certain attack at all

lastly the platforming in this game is shit. you slide off geometry and rocket to the floor, your jump can get "caught" on a completely flat ledge that's only waist high and cancels half of your vertical momentum, and you die to falls you think you shouldve survived (because theres only a 4m difference between a fatal fall and one you take 0 damage from.)
