I was listening to Amane's T2 voice drama again. She takes nine or ten steps while charging at Es. This reminds me of your quip about Fuuta taking fourteen steps to reach Es (at least I think it was you). For whatever reason, the next thing I think is "why did Amane take fewer steps than Fuuta?"
OMG I have been laughing about this all morning -- yeah, I commented that and got some of Milgram’s best minds on the case:
But with this new information there is only one conclusion to possibly come to 😌 Amane hit her adolescent growth spurt sometime after the t2 designs were revealed and before her interrogation 😌 No I will not be taking criticism 😌

The potential that a scene between just Lonnie and Will has. Two characters that have never shared a screen, now being the only ones to occupy the screen. How they will act around one another is so unpredictable and yet their relationship as father and son is so important. How much pain and anguish would come out in that moment? What would Lonnie have to say to Will after all this time? Will to Lonnie? Would it be civil? Destructive?

Maybe part of all this is the fact that we(I) went into Vice Versa with no expectations, didn’t even know these actors that well, not sure what to make of the trailer 🤷🏽♀️ and for Last Twilight we were(I was) already nomnoms and expecting a tear-jerking masterpiece from the great P’Aof and it just had to be perfect! Maybe we(I) put too much pressure on this show to stick it’s landing 😔
i do think part of the disappointment im feeling comes from the high expectations i had for last twilight tbh ;;;;;;;
like you said, i personally didn't know jimmysea before vice versa outside of jimmy's role as wai in bad buddy, and i went into the show without any kind of expectations, so i was able to enjoy everything that happened without worries. last twilight was a whole different experience altogether, because i waited for it for an entire year, and during that time i came up with so many theories and predictions that my anticipation for it was just insanely high. it was also a different kind of story tho, a story about a main character with disability that was finally gonna bring some kind of representation in the industry and that was gonna mean a lot to that community, so i always needed them to stick the landing
i also didn't want a polarizing ending because i already went through jimmysea getting unnecessary hate during vice versa, and i didn't want it to happen again. i think one of things that's hurting me the most rn is seeing people saying 'nightphorjai and marknamtan saved the show', which is way too similar to the 'tesstun/fuseaou and ohmnanon/aouboom should have been the main pairing' comments i used to see back in the days
and as i said, to me it's not even just about day getting his sight back, i don't have a disability so i don't think i have any right to speak about this over actual disabled people (although day talking about his blindness as a 'dilemma' and the 'worst page' of his novel and how he's back living a normal life now does NOT sit right with me at all), but it's also about the break up and how they treated mork and day as characters (i personally wasn't too comfortable with the way mork just kept pushing himself on day, but that's just me). people can say what they want about vice versa, and im objective enough to admit it's not a perfect show, but i'll be damned if p'x didn't know his characters and remain true to them until the very end
this being said, im still grateful to p'aof for giving jimmysea a chance and helping them gain more popularity, and i also still love the relationship he has with the boys. above all, what happened with the show doesn't change how i feel about jimmysea one bit and i look forward to keep supporting them in the future

what are your favorite movies by people of color that have leads of color too?
i watched like 4 films that weren't animated this year. but there are 2 films focused on gnc asian people's experiences that more people should watch: drifting flowers by zero chou is a beautiful film with a gorgeous lesbian romance plus a very sweet bond between an elderly gay man + lesbian. and the documentary shinjuku boys which you can literally watch for free on youtube about the lives of transmasc entertainers and features a really memorable and funny&sweet t4t couple.
the following aren't specifically lgbt but this year i also really enjoyed a film called supermarket woman, a sort of unofficial sequel to another film I loved called tampopo. it's bizarre but ends up a lot more emotionally earnest than you're expecting.
and there's a film called kamikaze girls is one of my all time favourites that I'm meaning to rewatch soon, about the friendship between a lolita girl and a goth girl. and it's not gay but it is like.. kind of gay 😭
goes without saying that if anyone has seen a film recently with a masculine woman in they're required by law to tell me bc the pickings are slim out here
