call it a day

end a period of activity, especially resting content that enough has been done.

She slid from her chair and stretched, arms reaching above her head as she threw her head back, her tail arching and flicking out behind her. The cropped sweater she wore rose, inching up her torso until it stopped just below the edge of her breasts. Rising up on her tiptoes, she paused at the apex of her lift, long legs showcased by thin, clinging leggings as she turned her head and smiled invitingly at the silver-haired man bent over the rules pamphlet from a game. “I think I’m going to call it a day,” Kal’istae announced.

Thancred didn’t even look up. “Already?” He glanced at the watch on his wrist, frowning. “I suppose you’ve put in a long one. I’ll be in in a while.”

Silence met his words, lingering uncomfortably long until he blinked and looked up, noticing that three of the four other people clustered about the table were staring at him with varying degrees of disbelief. The fourth was too caught up in looking through the game pieces to notice the increasingly awkward hush.

He turned to look at her, taking in her posture, her pose, the way the light struck her dark scales, sparking off the silvery freckles that dusted her indigo skin. He met her eyes, watching him with an expression of overstated patience, and grinned sheepishly. “Oh. I. Uh. Yes. Calling it a day, definitely.”

As he let the booklet fall heavily from his fingers to the table and began to drift towards her, the fourth person finally looked up. “But,” Varrus began to protest, but Cirdan sighed and reached over, clamping one large hand over his mouth.

“Pleasant dreams,” Ciprys called with a smirk as Kal’istae evaded Thancred’s outstretched hand and began to stroll towards her bedroom, tail twitching with each exaggerated roll of her slim hips. He followed eagerly after, already working at the buttons of his shirt.

Varrus looked puzzled, glancing around the table at the remaining members of the group. Cirdan was rolling his eyes while Ciprys grinned broadly, swinging her tail from side to side. Jess’s cheeks were crimson and she stared fixedly towards the kitchen, where she could just see the timer ticking down for the cookies still baking in the oven. “But, what about dessert?” he asked in confusion.

“I think they found something better,” Ciprys quipped, smirking as Cirdan shot her a look.

Varrus frowned. “But what’s better than cookies? Especially ones Jess baked!”

The two Au Ra merely laughed, while Jess covered her face in a futile effort to hide her growing blushes. “Nothing,” Ciprys finally managed to choke out. “Nothing at all. Come on, let’s finish setting up while we wait for the cookies. And if we don’t leave them any, well serves them right.”

“Indeed,” Cirdan agreed, and subtly distracted Varrus with a question about the rules while Ciprys worked to calm Jess before her blushes set the poor girl on fire.

OC: AMARIA KULOKOVA - DEVANA

Voice: Soft but with an edge of authority, sing songy almost like a siren

Location: Amaria travels and lives like a nomad, but her home bases are Iceland or the Norwegian forests

Hair: Long waist length, dirty blonde, on the cooler side, straight but with a tiny wave 

Eyes: Icy blue, sometimes look white in the reflection of snow on a sunny day. Intense. Sharp. Powerful. When she is killing her pupils are blown wide and a darkness seeps into the blue from the rims almost making them look black. The same eyes as her brother Andrei

Height: 5′3

Body: Small but powerful, do not under estimate her size, she has dragged her brothers 220lbs frame multiple times. She is pretty lean but has a certain rough/wild quality to her. Amaria has a scar on her chin, the exact match of Andrei’s, running alone the understand and moving upward. Her back has a massive scar from her left shoulder to almost the last rib. Amaria has a body that can keep her going for days from a beautiful stamina but with a hardiness that she doesn’t have to eat for days either if she is in a bad situation.     

Clothes: Mainly wears just all black. Black jeans often ripped, usually black or brown hiking boots, a long black rain coat/shell jacket, and often just tight layering clothes to keep her warm and dry. At home she usually settles for just a sweatshirt, jeans and vest.   

Weapons/fight style: Her and her brother have been trained in all sorts of combat and weapons but she always has her modified Dragunov sniper rifle. In close combat situations she will use her black steel machete. 

Preferred Method of Kill: Sniper kill

Motive: Pleasure and for a higher power/gods/deities she looks up to (she is a little crazy)

Smell: Woody, black cardamom, wild figs and bergamot, florals and deep spices (inspo: indigo by nest) 

Dogs: Amaria has 2 dogs. Dyn (means thunderous/powerful in Icelandic) she is a medium content wolfdog, half shepard half wolf. When Amaria was visiting Andrei they did a patrol around his abandoned town and found 2 pups, one was too wild to ever keep, but Dyn formed an extremely deep connection with her. Dyn has been Amaria’s rock, protector and best friend, she also been known to kill for Amaria. Then there is Anatoly (means sunrise in Russian) he is a black shepard mix she found when Amaria was traveling. He was a beaten, malnourished stray and she took him in without a second thought, he reminded Amaria of herself. Once all fixed up, Anatoly is a total goof, he allows Amaria to see the bright side in her dark life and be silly every once and while. He is defiantly her cuddling dog but Anatoly loudly protects her, instead of Dyn which is more of a watchful quiet intimidator.    

BIOGRAPHY //UNDER CONSTRUCTION//

Amaria and her big brother, Andrei, were born in Moscow Russia to mother Eva, of Norway, and father Dimitri Kulokova, of Russia. Very shortly after the birth of Amaria, the family moved to a small town many hours north of Moscow, living on a plot of land that was baron for most months out of the year with the exception of a small woodland area leading into a national protected forest. This land was also only a few kilometers from Dimitri’s brother, Viktor.

Dimitri and Viktor had been through a lot together living under the communist regime of the USSR, surviving on scraps and whatever they could hunt, they had also been forced into the military as young men and served more than 10 years together. Viktor had gone into a special forces unit dealing closely with dictators and international affairs, this brother did not follow him for he found a beautiful wife that melted his cold heart. Viktor was burned by the idea of his brother leaving him and began to realize Dimitri had always gotten everything in life; the looks, the wife, love from both parents, children and money. It was time for Viktor to shine once they moved closed to him. On a hunting trip Viktor killed Dimitri but staged it as falling and breaking his neck. Eva needed support and moved in with Viktor bringing the kids with her, they soon found out he was insane, throwing around conspiracy theories about the government, how people were after him etc. His sick and twisted views of the world forced him to raise Andrei and Amaria like soldiers, training them in combat, guns, knives, traps, land mines and hiding evidence.

Viktor held the family captive and making them love him, Eva was already abused from Dimitri and was even more broken in grief allowing Viktor to brainwash her into loving him. It was an extremely abusive home mentally and physically with Andrei and Eva getting most of the abuse, Andrei seemed to protect his little sister as much as he could but it was too late for dangerous things to seep into her mind. Amaria had picked up on the cruel paranoid feeling hers uncle placed in her head, she would always think people would come for her or the gods were never pleased with her. Quickly Andrei was feeding into sick needs that were made ok by his uncle, and in an extreme fit of rage and praise from Viktor, Andrei stabbed and choked his mother to death only at age 12 as Amaria watched and was held back.

With Viktor raising them from here on out, the extreme brainwashing and corruption began. Setting up test for the siblings in survival and combat, resulting in Amaria and Andrei almost killing each other several times; most noticeable when Amaria took a machete to Andrei’s chest. Since Andrei was much bigger and heavier than her, she learned how to play dirty and quickly realized weak points in an opponent. Also she learned and began to treasure long range hunts, with her sniper rifle because she is so small. 

Her only safe space from the house was the near by woods, she would hide out there for days sometimes, becoming one with nature, this is where she felt at home and were she was safe. Nature was her true solace and its where she could relax. 

When Andrei was 16 and Amaria was 14, Viktor had ended up killing himself in his underground bunker convinced people were coming for him, leave the siblings alone together.

Andrei protected and took care of his sister until she was 17 when they had a fight that almost killed them both. Amaria and Andrei went their separate ways, he went to the army and she became a nomad.

Amaria along her travels around Europe she has done whatever she has needed to to survive, sex work to killing people for money, she has done it all. Amaria had found herself most comfortable in Iceland or the Norwegian forests, staying at cabins and living off the land, it is the most natural way and perfect way to live. She is a very wild ritualistic person. 

Amaria got her uncle’s insane side, like believing that she must please some higher power by killing and giving them bodies, so she will pick almost anyone as prey, whatever the voices in her head tell she needs to pick. Once she has that person in her sights she will secretly stalk them then hide out somewhere, waiting for the perfect time. Usually she hunts hikers and tourists going out into forests and sight seeing. 

In her desire Amaria often maims her victims beyond recognition, covers in moss and branches stringing them up as a display to feed the gods she believes in. If she is in iceland she will just bring them to a cliff and kick them off.

🐴 - Which OC is the most active or athletic?

All of them are fairly active, considering what they do on a daily basis.

Mune and Ahearn Mahariel, Indigo Amell, and Ezmeralda Cousland are all Grey Wardens, so they spend a great deal of their time moving around. Though Ezmeralda is Queen of Ferelden now, she still is quite active. Farren Surana became a wonderer after parting from the Hero of Ferelden's party and simply never stopped. Edith Hawke grew up on a farm and then spent years in Kirkwall sprinting from one end of the city to the other, before going on the run. Kida Lavellan is Inquisitor to the Inquisition and a Dalish elf. Cam'helin is an Agent of Fen'Harel, so naturally he does a good bit of traveling.

Egypt Shepard is a Spectre and and Commander, though she isn't as active as she was now that she's retired. Rivera Ryder is the human Pathfinder, while her sister Sara follows at her heels.

Jak De Sardet is Legate of the Merchant Congregation and spends the majority of her time exploring Teer Fradee and dealing with politics, though she does make time to sail with Vasco as well.

Kai Techternity is a drifter, the only time she remembers not being on the move is the five years she lived at Caed Nua. But even then, she traveled the surrounding areas with restlessness.

So truthfully, all of them are active in their own ways, and it would be difficult to say who is the most active.

🐝 - Which OC looks harmless but could pack a punch?

That would be Indigo Amell. She's a spirit mage and a healer on top of being a complete sweetheart who looks like she couldn't hurt a fly, but she has had her moments where she's lost her temper. Despite offensive magic not being something she's adept at, she manages to cause quite a bit of damage.

Liara/Javik is one I really enjoy a lot. I dunno why, but Liara always seemed kind of? She just seemed a little flat to me and she put Shepard up on a pedestal and I feel like by the end of 3 if you’ve done everything right she and Javik are good for each other. They challenge each other and respect each other and apparently end up enjoying each other’s company enough to write a book together so……you know..

Aria T’Loak/Nyreen Kandros. I got in an argument about this once, but I appear to be the only person that read “toxic and abusive” from the conversations in the Omega DLC. It doesn’t like bother me bother me, but BioWare has an issue with abusive wlw relationships and that’s one of them.

Aw! Thanks for asking! I wasn't really expecting anyone to, lol.

Earth: Where was your Shepard born?

Miss Indigo Shepard was born on Mindoir. I can't find any canon material stating when the colony was founded, but there are a lot of fan theories about when, and I've chosen 2153 as the founding year. Her parents, Ciaran and Sveta, were among the first wave of colonists and helped develop Mindoir's infrastructure.

Ion: Does your Shepard have any tech skills? (Engineering, hacking, etc.)

If you had asked me a month ago, I would have agreed immediately with the explanation that she's an infiltrator. However, after mulling it over (and having an amazing time playing a vanguard), I've decided that Indigo is a vanguard whilst her younger sister, Ezri, is the infiltrator. SO. She's about as tech savvy as the average person, I'd say. Knows how to work most modern tech (esp. since she lives on the Citadel when off duty), has a mostly complete understanding of how omni-tools work, and has other generalized knowledge since she's constantly around advanced tech on the Normandy, etc.--but she is no engineer or tech expert. She did ask Ezri to teach her how to customize her weapons and omni-tool to better work for her combat style, though :)

Meteor: Does your Shepard have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?

She's a leg-bouncer, through and through. Sitting in a meeting? Bouncing her leg. Writing mission reports? Bouncing her leg there, too. Having a drink at a bar with friends? Guess what. It's only annoying if the place she happens to be sitting starts shaking along with her leg bouncing. She also regularly dyes her hair, because she just really loves purple and she can.
