I had an enlightenment

/some spicy beginnings of chulwoo in historical royal AU aka the one where jinwoo buys jinchul head and saves him from execution on his own homeland/

so like jinwoo brings jinchul to his country and palace and while jinchul is getting washed and treated after months of prison containment, jinwoo prepared a private room for their upcoming chat

jinwoo patiently sips his tea when jinchul comes in with bandages here and there dressed in more comfortable and lose robes

both sit down and start their discussion, dancing around each other with words, jinchul trying to cut it and go straight to deal because while there’s possibility of jinwoo’s benevolence, it’s highly unlikely considering he’s probably the only one brought out of his own death penalty

jinwoo is actually amused than angry that jinchul talks to him with required amount of court etiquette yet you can still hear annoyance and coldness in his voice. Jinwoo proposes a deal: since he now owns jinchul’s head, man can ‘free’ himself (aka pay back everything jinwoo spent on him) by being absolutely loyal and work for him as an information provider against jinchul’s homeland.

‘i only has one question, your highness: what makes you so sure i won’t snap your neck at any moment if i agree? where’s guarantee i’m not loyal to my homeland anymore.’

there’s cold silence and tension, jinchul can swear he saw shadows twist in unnatural way around them. as he’s distracted by them, he misses when jinwoo approaches him and grabs him by chin, slightly leaning in with his dangerous yet amusing glowing eyes and a black curtain of hair hiding them from outside world.

‘my guarantee is that you’re not loyal to your homeland, minister. you’re always have been and always will be loyal to people and not a land. so if you wish to see them all well and happy, i advise you agree to my proposal.’

they stare into each other’s eyes, jinchul is hardly terrified outside but jinwoo can hear man before him thinking. just as jinwoo was about to let him go and straighten himself, he gets suddenly tugged down by his own hair. it’s so unexpected jinwoo almost loses his balance, so his other hand ends up on cushion of chair, almost touching jinchul’s thigh. jinchul’s calm face didn’t change, yet jinwoo can see dangerous flickers in other’s eyes. flickers of someone who has nothing to lose.

jinchul tugs on jinwoo’s hair making him lean closer, and jinchul almost whispers his answer.

‘if i get a word that you or your men hurt innocents in my homeland, i’ll die but will try to snap your neck.’

atmosphere is still cold around and flames of candles are barely holding up, jinchul’s hand lets jinwoo’s hair slip out of his grip as both continue to glare at each other. jinwoo’s eyes stop to glow and he genuinely smiles, smug and proud. still so close to jinchul’s face on his own violation now.

‘it’s a deal then. i’m looking forward to our cooperation.’

It has been a while since I felt like making a wallpaper for a drama. I just wanted to make sure that all the characters that I loved had their spotlight. This is such a sweet romantic story! I loved the main plot and all the subplots, I loved the family dynamics as well as the friendship ones. The Power Rangers were so cute to watch as kids and adults and the sisters are a power house all on their own. . . And Ha Yul stole my heart too.

Yunjin was right it wouldn't hurt to greet your new neighbor. The last thing you want is to seem rude and be the only one who has not introduced yourself to him. So, you made chocolate chip cookies since it would be wrong to go empty handed. You walked towards Jungkook’s house with the container in your hand slightly nervous.

You lifted your fist ready to knock but the door swung open before you could. "Hi l'm-oh" Your eyes slightly widened as you looked up at him. He towered over you wearing a white fitted short sleeve shirt which exposed his arm tattoos and muscles. He had black fluffy hair and a lip piercing. You could see the outline of his abs through the shirt and his big doe eyes were so pretty looking down at you.

“Hey…” he spoke with a small smirk plastered on his face. You were not being very discreet when checking him out. It’s not like he was hiding the way he was looking at your boobs either. “Oh Hi... I’m sorry I just.. um I wanted to introduce myself I live right across from you I’m ___. I made you these.” You say softly while sticking out the container. He smiled at you looking at the container then back at you. His smile is so nice holy fuck. “Thank you so much. My hands are dirty so I can't grab the container. Would you mind coming in?” he asked. “Great thank you. You can put the cookies on the counter I’m going to wash my hands.” he told you letting you walk in first. His place was organized it was way different than you expected. He walked over to his sink and started washing his hands. His hands are even attractive what the fuck.

“Why are your hands so dirty.” you ask trying to make small talk. He looks up at you for a moment then nods his head to the direction of the window. You see the black motorcycle with his initials written on the side in a small cursive font. “I’m fixing it. Somethings wrong with the pipe.” Wiping his hands on a small cloth... he still had something black smeared on his jaw and a little on his arm, but you didn't say anything. He walked over to you and stood quiet for a bit.

“Are you doing anything today?” He questioned analyzing your face. You tried to look somewhere else. You didn’t want to make eye contact with him feeling nervous under his gaze. “I have to pick up my son Eun-Woo from school in forty minutes and cook” you admit.

“Oh, you’re a mom huh.” he’s not really asking its more of a statement. The look on his face shockingly does not show any signs of disappointment. “Do you have a husband? I haven’t seen him with you.” he pushes.

“Yea I do. We just… we aren’t going through the best time right now that's all. It happens to a lot of people though.” you tell him trying to reassure yourself realizing you overshared god you hate when you do that. “Hmm… I don’t know how he does it I wouldn’t be able to stay away from you.” he admits playing with a strand of your hair and using his hand to tilt your jaw up. You two look at each other and you know what you are going to do next is wrong, but you can’t help it. His lips crash onto yours and you grab at his arm. The kiss turns into a heated make out session running your hands through his hair. You hesitate for a moment wondering if you should take it further. You start unbuckling his belt slightly pulling his pants down.

"Is this, okay?" you ask pulling away from his lips as he tries leaning forward to kiss you again. "Yes, shit" he answers before reattaching his lips to yours as you softly palm him through his boxers. You push his chest slightly and get on your knee's looking up at him through your lashes. He threw his head back mouth slightly open and his eyes closed. His face alone has you wet.

I want to talk about Solo Leveling (MY OPINION)

There was another post before this one, but I deleted it, and made a longer version with more explanations.

I'm writing this in a very upset state, and I was angry moments ago, so please don't blame me (not that I really care, but I don't really want to see arguments in the comments either). This is my own opinion, and so does everyone else, I want to clarify my point of view. If you don't care, then just skip this post.

First of all, let's talk about, how did I get to know the manhwa Solo Leveling?

A few years ago, when I was in the tenth grade, during quarantine, I was spending a lot of time on the phone, and in one of my friend’s posts, I saw pictures from that manhwa. Of course, I ignored it at first, and therefore I was not a fan of Korean culture, but a lot of posts started talking about it, so I decided to ask my friend.

And so I started reading that manhwa. Of course my first impression of her was good. It was fun, and I was curious about it, especially about the system and the secret behind it. I liked the idea of ​​monsters, dungeons, and hunters. I liked Ju-hee a lot, and Woo Jin-chul as well, but I didn't really care for Jin-woo. I mean, he was okey. After I decided that I liked it, I decided to continue reading it.

Over time, I started to get a little bored, since they always only showed Jin-woo, and more importantly, never cared about the other characters (Yeah, it's SOLO Leveling, and it should be only about Jin-woo, like many other fans say. But, why did you dear author made the side characters so interesting?!), and also, Jin-woo started acting a little condescending and arrogant on several occasions just because he gained power. (Do all Koreans only get serious when they get something special?)

The development of the story over time became somewhat boring, and I slowly began to understand that this manhwa might not be my type, but I decided to be patient a little, and see what happens. And here, BOOM!! Korea hates Japanese hunters, and makes them bad people. Well, not that I'm complaining about this much, I mean, what do you expect from a country that hates another country?

Min Byung-gyu died, and that was so disappointing. He didn't even have enough scenes. And I was so sad about it.

And of course Jin-woo was the best and the badass, the greatest the PerFect and-!!!

Yeah, that's what I've been always reading in comments. What about Baek Yoon-ho? Choi Jong-in? Lim Tea-gyu and Min Byung-gyu??

No, it's Korea, and Jin-woo should be the only person on the screen.. 🤷‍♀️

Regardless of all this, and with the hope that I might see Baek Yoon-ho and Woo Jin-chul again, I decided to read the light novel, after the first season was finished.

Believe it or not, I almost cried because this novel disappointed me so much, in the story and in the characters. I also have been waiting Jin-woo's and Ju-hee's dinner.. but it didn't happen. 😪

And that made me start to hate Cha Hae-in so much.

First, she wasn't as helpful for Jin-woo as Ju-hee was. Second, she just appeared suddenly, and became the best girl in the manhwa all of a sudden, and everybody just speaks about her in comments, along with Jin-woo. She suddenly became the best in everything, despite that we never saw how did she actually win a true battle against monsters. She only got defeated, and always needed someone to save her. But Ju-hee despite that she was kinda weak and scared as hell, she followed Jin-woo in dungeons just to take care of him. And now, only because it's "true love", he loved Cha and not Ju-hee. Really? Is that the only explanation you guys have? If you saw a drunk old man in the street, will you love him because it's "true love"? Oh wait, Jin-woo wasn't drunk, he had a good smell. Yeah, Cha liked him only because of his smell, and when Ju-hee cared about him and liked him (she asked him to take her out for a dinner), it was nothing. It's not true love.

Wow! You guys are so intelligent! I really respect you all!

I had no reason or motivation left to complete the manhwa. Characters and art style. ONLY!!!

Finally, the manhwa ended and I felt relieved that I would never have to read this Korean trash again (Sorry, Solo fans, but you curse worse than me. Bear with me, sensitive people, please~)

I didn't really regret reading this manhwa, because I liked some aspects of it, the most important of which were the characters. What bothered me a little was that they completely forgot about the other characters. At least in the first season there were more shots of the side characters.

Now, let's move on to the main point.

Why do I hate Solo Leveling, or rather, why did I start to hate it this much?

First of all, the way Solo fans compared it with jjk.

I'm sooo sorry, dear Solo fans, but everyone knows that Jjk is better than solo in many aspects (I don't say most people hate solo, I'm just saying most of people prefer jjk)

Firstly, the plot of Jujutsu Kaisen is more interesting than Solo Leveling plot. Yes, many haters may say that Jujutsu Kaisen ideas are borrowed from other anime and plots, and it has nothing new. Excuse me, my dear, don't you see that Solo is full of borrowed ideas more than Jujutsu Kaisen? Titans? Hunters? Ranks and game system? Also, even though the plot of Jujutsu may seem a little copied, it's not to an obvious degree like Solo.

Not to mention that Jjk's characters are tens and hundreds of times better than Solo's. God, I'm really sorry that I wiped your dignity on the ground, Jin-woo's husband or wife, Gojo is really weak in front of the great, handsome, perfect, invincible master that all the girls love. Gojo is a weak trash, who is worth nothing in front of everyone's favorite Korean badass, and no one has the right to protest, I'm so soOorrRRRry!!~

Now let us move on to dear fans who started comparing the LOseR Gojo and our great, ideal King Jin-woo, instead of comparing him to Sukuna, who is considered the strongest in the series. Dear, are you jealous that Gojo is more popular than your Jin-woo? If you want to seem like the person who compares the characters according to the strongest from each series, I advise you to think of a smarter trick next time, because the strongest here is Sukuna, not Gojo. Don't worry, no one will hate you if you express your opinion respectfully and say that you hate Gojo.

I never deny that jujutsu has flaws, especially the events after Gojo's fight against Sukuna, and the way in which Sukuna lost, without us seeing him at his full strength.

But please, do not compare a simple Korean work to this great work. Solo Leveling is not bad, it has its flaws just like jjk does, but jjk is obviously more popular and better than Solo in many ways.

Okay, it's alright to prefer something more than the other, but why the insult? Why this much of hatred? If you don't like something, please, stop reading it or watching it, just leave. I hated Solo, but I never insulted it before in front of other fans who like it so much, because I would never want the same for me, for the work I love, but when you guys insult something I love, I feel the urge to insult what you prefer. You can say you hate something, it's not wrong, but without insulting, please.

Solo Leveling has a simple plot (although I want to say it's fucking trash, but ok), not to mention that it left out a lot of interesting characters. And excluding Ju-hee is the worst skip, just for the sake of a ***** who loves our perfect Jin-woo's smell. (I'm sorry, Cha fans, I couldn't take it anymore. I'm so sorry. No, really, I'm sorry. I'm following someone who loves Cha, and I don't want him to get angry, But I really want to say this more).

SORRY, SORRY, SORRY MY FRIENDS WHO LIKE SOLO, I'M SORRY.. 🙁🙁🙁

In general, everyone has his own opinion, and I respect every person's opinion, but I do not and would never respect insulting and cursing. I really had enough of people who curse Jjk, because I like jjk so much, despite that I was really really really disappointed by the end of Shinjuku arc. But it does NOT make solo better in any way. I don't care what others would say, but I'll never take my words back. I hate solo, I hate Cha Hae-in especially. I don't care about people who say Jin-woo is definitely stronger than Gojo (I know he is, but what would you expect from a korean work? It always makes every hero too special, overrated, and invincible. It's not even exciting, even a bit. There's no a normal logic in korean manhwa, the hero should be always the best, and others are trash.) 🤷‍♀️

But, making Jin-woo stronger than Gojo doesn't mean Gojo is worse. Gojo is the best, and Jjk is the best, no matter how much you adore your Jin-woo.

Fans are one of the main reasons why did I start to hate Solo Leveling, Jin-woo, and Cha Hae-in.

Oh, I have a ton. Not sure which ships you wanted, but here are a few for my top ships. Feel free to ask for specific ships (I have others. There are just some I like a lot more than others) or more headcanons (I like to ramble, so I tend to limit myself. I also tend to repeat myself since I don't remember what I've posted and what I haven't)

ChoiBaek:

Baek Yoon-Ho is very physically affectionate with Choi Jong-In in private. It makes Jong-In very flustered at first

After getting together, they don't argue. They both know what the other is thinking well enough that when they do disagree on something, they either compromise or agree to disagree

They express their love through actions a lot more than words. Yoon-Ho isn't good at expressing himself through words, and Jong-In doesn't like directly stating his emotions. They both understand that about each other though, so they show their love in different ways, either with physical affection or doing things for the other

SungPark:

Park Kyung-Hye was the one who asked Sung Il-Hwan out. Il-Hwan was caught off guard by the pretty girl

Kyung-Hye knew when Il-Hwan was preparing to propose to her and just waited for the moment. Il-Hwan was pretty flustered during the proposal, and Kyung-Hye lightly teased him about it afterward

Il-Hwan likes getting gifts for Kyung-Hye and very much has golden retriever energy. Kyung-Hye finds it cute how excited he gets giving her gifts

MinLee:

Lee Ju-Hee and Min Byung-Gyu met sometime during the Yoo Jinho Raid Party Arc (just after Ju-Hee said she was going to retire and before the Red Gate arc)

Ju-Hee didn't know who he was at first since Byung-Gyu kept a few important details secret. She did freak out later. And scold him for not telling her

Byung-Gyu helps Ju-Hee overcome her trauma a lot more than the other way around. Ju-Hee is still there for him when he gets reminded of it though

ChulWoo:

Sung Jin-Woo actively tries not to make more work for Woo Jin-Chul since he knows Jin-Chul tends to have a lot of work. It usually doesn't go as planned. Jin-Woo does his best to help clean the mess though

Jin-Woo usually gets food or drinks for Jin-Chul when he doesn't have time to get it himself (Jin-Woo got the "giving stuff" trait from his dad)

Jin-Chul is the one who tells Jin-Woo not to work too hard. Jin-Chul knows that Jin-Woo can physically handle that many gates but thinks Jin-Woo tries to do too much on his own and that Jin-Woo mentally needs a break every now and then

Reading Woo Jin-chul's dossier from the Arise game and wished we got more from him in the main story.

He saw Sung Il-Hwan's ill fated mission at the amusement park. He watched as Jin-woo's grief got broadcasted on TV.

Omfg. The Sungs were Jin-chul's reason to help Hunters instead of becoming a police officer.

-> Jin-chul minding his own business in college and working hard to be part of the police force.

-> Saw Jin-woo sad on TV and went "Oh crap. Who's going to help and protect Hunters?"

-> Heard about Go Gun-hee setting up the Korean Hunters Association and promptly dropped from the police academy (I assume) to pursue business

-> Was Awakened and went fuck it with his business studies to go fight in the field instead

-> Eventually applied to KHA optimistically

LMAO. No wonder Jin-chul's really good at his job as Gun-hee's right hand man. His educational background and police training made him perfect for it.

It's also really sweet how before he Awakened, he was already aiming to help KHA. However, while I like the retcon of connecting him somewhat to the Sungs, it kind of made a bit of a plot hole for me.

I mean, wouldn't it make sense for Jin-chul to try to keep tabs/following up on Il-Hwan's family especially Jin-woo since they are technically his inspiration for switching careers? Or at least maybe recognizing Jin-woo immediately in their first meeting?

Anyway, it's hilarious how he reacted at being Awakened. Jin-chul annoyed at his wasted years of pursuing a business degree just to fall back on his police training as a fighter. He must be so stressed when after signing up to the KHA, he looped back to using his business education to battle paperwork and wrangle agents and high ranking Hunters as well.

The ending for his Story Chapter 2 sounded ominous tho:

"But dreams never really come true. He would learn that the hard way."

Chulwoo AU where both die (no powers SL AU as well) and end up story/dimension hoppers that get assigned roles and must lead a story to certain point/ending to move to next stage

Jinchul grasps this weird concept and decides to play along because there’s nothing more to do and he doesn’t want to test out what failure will mean

First couple of stories goes smoothly and relatively easy (despite whole ass set of restrictions) but then he notices spike in difficulty and how some events don’t go as planned

He suspects there’s more ‘hoppers’ than him per story and it turns out Jinwoo is one of those as well but he has different set of requirements that apparently contradict those of Jinchul’s

At first they try to outplay each other because both don’t want to see what happens after failure but in such attempt the best they got is some sort of middle ground which allowed them both to proceed. And since then two been stuck together in each world trying to find a middle ground for theirs requirements and both absolutely hate it when they end up on opposing sides because that’s gotta be the hardest shit.

Two complete strangers slowly get to know each other and reveal bits and pieces about who they used to be before this mess (and as it turns out they actually were lovers who died together in an accident and now it’s literally them falling in love all over again)

Solo Leveling × Tomb Raider King × Pick Me Up, Infinite Gacha (crossover)

While dungeons began to appear in Earth and humans awakened as hunters, tombs also appeared in certain areas in the world. The latter gave an opportunity for the ordinary humans to test their courage by conquering the tombs and retrieving the treasures, or relics, from the inside before the tomb collapses.

Seo Joo-heon was one of the greatest tomb-raiders that caught the attention of the Hunters' Association and was invited for an interesting job. Some hunters had discovered relics in the gates and they were too busy dealing with the monsters to ever pay attention to it. So, Seo Joo-heon was stationed to work alongside hunters to be in charge of taking relics.

Then, amidst of raiding a dungeon, a group of humans suddenly appeared. The hunters and the tomb-raiders became wary, so both parties pointed their weapons at each other until the leader, who introduced himself as Han Islet, explained that they were led here by a mission, and the so-called system also suddenly glitched shortly after they had entered the gate.

Unbeknownst to them, a war was about to befell the human world. Sung Jin-woo, Seo Joo-heon, and Han Islet must join forces to be powerful enough to defeat their enemies.

An old man from Seo Joo-heon's past life and a powerful relic, Monarchs, and a stage must be conquered before a whole world vanishes — can they handle it?

Jin-woo met Joo-heon when he worked as a miner. Joo-heon remarked how being a miner didn't fit him and should change careers.

Go Gun-hee summoned the two to speak with the humans who appeared in a gate. Han Islet threw them a blunt look with his arms crossed.

"Did you three come from the same hairstylist?" — Yoo Jin-ho. Or Yoo Jae-ha.

Chloe would assist guilds in her available time despite not being awakened as a hunter, but she could rely on her relics.

Julian shows off his lightning powers and Jong-in shows off his flames as they talk about business.

Jin-woo and Han always train together after seeing how good their combat is.

Hae-in trains with Edis and helps her improve. Jenna watches them and even receives tips from the S-Rank, so she starts to tease Han that Hae-in is a better mentor than him.

Jae-ha is jealous of the bond between Jin-woo and Jin-ho.

Jin-chul faints when Gun-hee asked him to watch over Joo-heon, Jin-woo, and Han when they were tasked to conquer a gate in the middle of the street.

Eolka bonds with Seol-ah over their powers and spends meals, together with Irene, who listens to her complaints.

Ilya shows the demons in his relic and Jin-woo shows his army of shadows. Needless to say, Ilya turns into a giddy kid.

Tae-gyu and Jenna get along over being archers and are often found at the shooting area.

Aaron stops by to assist Jae-ha. The latter tears up. "Told ya he can be a baby." Joo-heon told him.

Aaron trains with hunters to improve his skills.

Whenever Jin-woo, Han, and Joo-heon conquered a gate, they would get out after five/six minutes.

Weak Hero Character Names

For those who don't know, the Weak Hero webtoon anglicized a bunch of the characters' first names from Korean to English. They don't do this for newly introduced characters anymore AFAIK, but all the names they anglicized initially have been kept that way.

Since I've gotten a few people asking about the names, so I decided to compile a list of their original Korean names. You can find amost of these on their character profiles on the Weak Hero fandom page, but I figured people would appreciate having a quick reference that is all in one place. Bizim küçük tilkimiz büyümüş başrol olmuş eyy ahali. Bir çıt fantastik, bir tık medikal bir dizi ile karşımızda. Konusu her ne kadar ilgi çekici olsa da Kim Beom için başladığımı inkar edemeyeceğim. Dizi ortalamanın üzerinde beklediğimden daha keyifliydi. Genel oyuncu kadrosu başarılıydı. Hikayesi eğlenceliydi. Özellikle Rain’i ilk kez izledim oldukça başarılı buldum.

Cha Young-Min(Rain) öğrencilik yıllarında nasıl bir insan olduğunu, nasıl bir doktor olmak istediğini unutmuş, empatiden yoksun kibirli, küstah ve bencil ama çok başarılı bir kalp cerrahıdır. Hastanenin yıldızıdır. Eski karısı Jang Se-Jin (Uee) bir gün babasını kurtarması için ondan yardım ister. Bu hanım kızımızı Marriage contract dizisinden tanıyoruz. Bir türlü sevemedik. Young-Min ameliyatta çok başarılı bir iş çıkarmasına rağmen hasta uyanmaz. Aynı günün akşamında da kendisi bir trafik kazası geçirip komaya girer.

Go Seung-Tak (Kim Beom) ise Young-Min ile asla anlaşamayan onun stajyerlerinden biridir. Aynı zamanda hastane sahibinin torunu olduğu için son derece rahat ve şımarık bir tiptir. Aslında Young-Min’in tam zıttı diyebiliriz. Teoride çok başarılıdır. Bütün soruların cevaplarını biliyordur. Ama pratikte eline neşter alamaz. Diğer bir stajer doktor olan Oh Soo-Jung(Son Na-Eun) ile yakın arkadaştırlar. Bu hanım kızımızı da Cinderella and the Four Knights dizisinden tanıyoruz. Bunu da pek sevememiştik. Özünde dizideki dişil enerji çok zayıftı. İki kadın oyuncuda birbirinden vasattı diyebilirim. Donuk, ruhsuz ve dizinin kimyasıyla uyuşmuyorlardı.

Dizinin fantastik kısmı ise Seung-Tak’ın ruhları duyabiliyor, görebiliyor olmasıydı. Komaya giren Young-Min’i görebilen tek kişinin asla anlaşamadığı ve taban tabana zıt karakterdeki stajyeri olması diziyi ilginçleştiren noktalardan biriydi. Dizinin kadınlarının aksine diğer yan roller oldukça başarılıydı. Özellikle komadaki hayalet kadrosu ve o kadronun başındaki Tess’i canlandıran deneyimli oyuncu Sung Dong-Il.

Bütün bu bir araya geliş olduktan sonrasında, hikaye bize şunu soruyor; başarılı doktorumuz neden komada? Ameliyatı başarılı geçen hasta neden uyanmadı? Stajyer doktorumuz başaralı hayalet ile anlaşıp kendini geliştirebilecek mi? Komadan ne zaman çıkacak ya da çıkacak mı? Dizinin genel konusu işte bu soruların etrafında dönüyor.

İzlemesi kolay, insanı yormayan keyifli bir diziydi. Konusu eğlenceliydi, yer yer strese soksa da dozunu güzel ayarladı. Arada derede kalmış bir dizi olduğunu düşünüyorum. Abartılan onca dizi varken, biraz daha öne çıkmayı hakkediyor. Ayrıca başlarken dediğim gibi küçük tilkimiz Kim Beom bence kendini kanıtlamış.
