for anyone looking for cute n sweet animes, I’m here to help you!!!

Yumeiro Patisserie ~ one of the sweetest anime I’ve watched! ( pun fully intended. ), it centers a girl who adores sweets and wants to enjoy them like her grandmother; who was a baker! She gets scouted for a prep school to be a pastry chef!! 10/10 - cute visuals, teaches a lot about baking, and is just an overall fun watch! ( Available on Hi-Dive! ).

Blend S ~ one of my all time favorite anime and series in general! It’s rather short, but definitely worth the watch! It follows Maika, a girl with a naturally sadistic face - who’s truly friendly, being found by the manager of a maid cafe; where each maid plays a different personality! It’s very sweet n cute - and has very cute visuals! All of the characters are likable, imo - and I’m hoping for a season 2 someday. 😢. ( Available on Crunchyroll! )

Tokyo Mew Mew ~ one of my favorite manga n anime series! It follows five girls who have been infused with the DNA of endangered animals; and have to go undercover working at a cafe to scout out different things for missions! It’s very sweet and cute! The OG series is currently on YouTube; and the remake is on Hi-Dive!

Kimi Ni Todoke ~ a super cute story and cast; with a third season in the works at Netflix! It follows Sawako, a girl who people find scary due to her resemblance of an iconic horror character ~ the only person who sees her for she truly is popular boy, Kazehaya, and this begins the start of a beautiful friendship and eventual romance! Very cute, and almost every character is likable!! ( Available on Crunchy Roll and Netflix! There’s also a live action adaptation of the series on Netflix! ).

Ouran High School Host Club - A classic shojo series that is about scholarship student, Haruhi, who just wants a quiet place to study and ends up finding herself in a music room turned host club for the wealthy students of Ouran High School; while trying to leave - she ends up breaking a vase and having to pay by being a host club member… all while faking her identity as a boy and getting into chaotic situations with the other members of the club! The series is pretty much on every streaming platform, but the ones I know of are Crunchyroll, Netflix, pretty sure it’s also on Hulu!

CardCaptor Sakura - my all time favorite anime and manga, and ultimately what got me into this type of media! It follows 10 year old, Sakura, as she finds a book in her father’s study and it releases mysterious cards, that she has to retrieve before they end up in the wrong hands! The entire series is adorable + and all the characters are likable and end up being supportive of each other. The series is on Crunchyroll and Netflix!

And finally, Onegai My Melody! It follows Uta Yumeno, who just wants to impress her upperclassman crush, with her violin playing skills - but ends up trusting the wrong person, naughty bunny, Kuromi! This causes chaos until she meets My Melody, and the two become the best of friends while trying to stop Kuromi from using her evil magic!

What shoujo do you recommend. Used to read them because my high school had a shit ton of never heard of shoujo but after that no one talks about shoujo like mega popular shounens

Unfortunately, I doubt I'll be able to offer you much. I only did start watching and reading shoujo last year so most of it has been the stuff everyone's already seen or read (Precure, Sailor Moon, and I'm going to be starting Cardcaptor Sakura soon).

I did watch what was available of Himitsu no Akko-chan, but it's almost impossible to recommend that since almost none of it is translated. One episode of the first series, the two movies from '89, and one episode of the third series. If you haven't already seen them, I think it's worth checking out despite that.

The only other thing I can offer is what I'm planning to read and watch in the future. I have Creamy Mami, Ashita no Nadja, Kageki Shoujo, Pretty Rhythm, and Onegai My Melody (which I have seen a few episodes of) downloaded. I'm planning on reading Princess Knight, Magic Knight Rayearth, and Tokyo Mew Mew so far.

not sure if this will be helpful to anyone; but as someone who’s constantly on the search for cute anime, I thought I’d put some here that I find cute, charming, wholesome, and sweet! I hope that you enjoy, whoever decides to read!

Blend S ~ definitely underrated, as it seems to only be known for the memes online. It’s super cute - and very funny! It reminds me of the “Ouran High School Host Club”, but with a mostly female cast - the characters are all very kind to each other; aside from the occasional joke, they are very sweet and it’s like being apart of their friend group each episode. The series is on Crunchyroll; for anyone interested - and the manga can be read online!

Onegai My Melody ~ This series is super cute, especially if you’re a hello kitty or Sanrio fan! It follows My Melody’s journey to the human world after her frenemy Kuromi takes an important tool from their kingdom in attempts to get revenge on My Melody for mistakes made between the two! It has human characters, along with more underrated sanrio characters like Kuromi Five, Flat the Mouse, My Sweet Piano, and Baku! It’s a very cute series ~ and the first two seasons are available in English sub on YouTube!

Ouran High School Host Club ~ this series has a very shojo feel to it - and very cute aesthetics to the series; and of course, Honey Senpai - the epitome of all things cute! It follows Haruhi as she starts at a new school and looks for a quiet place to study; ending up in the room where the high school’s host club meets each day; she ends up getting entangled in the group when she breaks a vase on accident - and it’s a very cute, sweet, and funny series! The anime is on Netflix, and I’m pretty sure on Tubi and Crunchyroll as well! The manga can be bought on Amazon or read online!

Cardcaptor Sakura ~ one of my all time favorite series, it’s truly sweet and charming - and in my personal opinion, there isn’t a single unlikable character in the series ( aside from Meilin getting on my nerves from time to time- ), it follows Sakura as she finds a mysterious book in her father’s study, which lets out magical cards that she has to track down; or else the power in them may be used in bad circumstances! The series is on both Crunchyroll and Netflix; and the movies are both on Crunchyroll! The manga can be bought on Amazon!

Renzou:

He’s a huge fairy tail fan, he got into it in middle school after finding the manga lying around in the locker room. Although he loves Lucy and Mira, his favourite character is actually Natsu. Other then attracting the attention of girls, Natsu is also the reason he dyed his hair pink.

Of course he likes the harem and yuri genre, anything slightly dirty he loves. High school DxD is his other favourite - his best girl is Akeno.

Renzou is also a fan of shoujo anime, he started watching it to appeal to girls, but actually got super into it. His favourites are Watashi ga Motete Dousunda (kiss him not me), and Ao haru ride (blue spring ride). He’s also a fan of love live (not sunshine - sunshine sucks) his favourite girl is Nozomi.

Konekomaru:

When Koneko was younger he was really into pirates, so he really likes one piece. Bon and Shima also liked it and they’d always play pirates, often forcing Kinzou, Gouzou and Juuzou to play as well. He also loves Naruto and has a Sasuke keychain clipped to his school bag.

He is also a fan of one punch man, Renzou forced him ti watch it with him and said, ‘Koneko-san, I promise you’ll like it, you can study later! Oh plus it has a bald guy in it! It’s your twin haha!’ Despite the taunting Konekomaru ended up loving the show.

Konekomaru spends Sunday’s curled up at the kotatsu watching a studio Ghibli movie.

Ryuji:

Bon only really watches shonen anime, his favourites are Ansatsu Kyōshitsu (assassination classroom, Bleach and Boku no Hero Academia (My hero Academia).

He also has a gengar plush that lays on his bed with him each night, he doesn’t cuddle it, just shoves it at the end for display. His dad bought him it because it’s both their favourite Pokemon so he really treasures it.

Rin:

Rin likes any sort of supernatural type shonen anime, despite not believing in demons and such growing up, he still thought they seemed pretty cool. He likes Shingeki no kyojin (attack on titan), D.Gray-man and he not too long ago got into Tokyo ghoul as well, he also likes Durarara.

Ever since he was young he has loved the dragon ball series, he has a t-shirt with the main characters on and the pictures crumbling slightly. He seems to wear it a lot and Yukio always insists he should throw it out. Rin didn’t like his tail at first until he was rematching DB and he remembered Goku had a tail, and since then he’s loved his tail. He actually named his tail Goku.

Izumo:

Izumo likes a lot of animes, she also has a lot of cute march from the series she likes, stuff like plushies, keychains, straps, cups, cosplay items (but she hasn’t cosplayed, she just wears the items casually).

She really likes Love Live!, Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun (my little monster), Free!, Yuri!!! On ice,Kimi ni Todoke (From me to you), and Kyoukai no Kanata (Beyond the boundary)

She grew up watching sailor moon with her little sister, to this day it’s still her favourite anime. She doesn’t know but its Tsukumo’s too.

Shiemi:

Izumo introduced her to anime’s like Hatsukoi monster (first love monster) and such, and although she is throughly enjoying learning about life through anime, she did watch a few classics when she was young. 

Her favourite was Chi’s sweet home, it was also her grandmas favourite to watch with her. She called Shiemi her ‘mini koneko’ and for months she would only respond to the name ‘Chi’.

Yukio:

Yukio enjoys anime about solving crimes, or supernatural hints amongst  the common police force. He likes mystery/suspense because he likes guessing theories before he watches more episodes.

His favourites are Death note, Mirai nikki (Future diary), Kiseijuu: Sei no Kakuritsu (Parasyte -the maxim), Boku dake ga Inai Machi (the town where only I am missing), and Psycho-Pass.

Mephisto:

Mephisto has watched way too many anime to list, and his favourites are always changing, but he has march from every show he’s ever loved, he’s otaku level infinite. 

He loves supernatural themed anime and thinks some of the ideas humans get about the demon world and demons in general is ‘adorable’.

Mephisto is the demon king version of Freid.

He also loves kawaii type anime, stuff like Sailor moon, Onegai my Melody (Please my Melody), and kobayashi-san chi no maid dragon.

Kanna is his fave moe girl atm.

Nemu:

He likes high school of the dead and Yu-gi-oh, he has a few figures from other anime he likes too. He also plays video games in his spare time, he started playing Pokemon and Yo-kai watch DS games and it inspired him to watch/re-watch them.

Shura:

Shura likes anime but doesn’t watch it obsessively, just ‘whenever’, she doesn’t have a particular favourite genre, they’re mostly quite mixed though. She enjoyed Kill la kill, and Keijo!!!! She also likes big titles such as Attack on titan, and Kobayashi-san

Angel:

He doesn’t watch anime, he’s one of those people who says anime is for kids. He has only ever seen a few, from his time in Japan when there is nothing else on TV. He liked parasyte, Death note and Soul eater. He thinks the Japanese are very extreme with everything and he appreciates all the detail they put into everything. He often goes on about how great the shows he watched are, but still claims he isn’t an anime watcher.

Two Doubles Matches Heat Up in The Prince of Tennis BEST GAMES!! OVA 2nd Volume Trailer

  The official website for The Prince of Tennis anime franchise has started streaming a 60-second

trailer for the second volume of its new OVA series The Prince of Tennis BEST GAMES!!, which was

launched to animate highly popular matches selected from Takeshi Konomi's manga series again,

but more faithfully to the original manga episodes. 

  The first volume released in October 2018 focused on the match between Kunimitsu (Seishun Academy)

and Keigo Atobe (Hyoutei Academy), which was held as the first round at the Kanto Regional Finals.

    The second volume features two doubles matches:

Sadaharu Inui & Kaoru Kaido (Seishun Academy) vs. Ryo Shishido & Chotaro Ohtori (Hyoutei Academy) 

Shuichiro Oishi & Eiji Kikumaru (Seishun Academy) vs. Masaharu Nio & Hiroshi Yagyu (Rikkaidai Junior High School)

  As with the first, the second volume will be first screened at select theaters in Japan from April 5, 2019,

for a limited time of two weeks, then its DVD/Blu-ray will be available on June 25.

        The third volume will focus on the match between Shusuke Fuji (Seishun Academy) and Akaya Kirihara

(Rikkaidai) in the final of the Kanto Regional Tournament.

Mahou Shoujo/Idol Anime I Really Need To Watch/Rewatch

~Hime Chen!Otochi Chikku Idol Lilpri(Watching again right now, think I only got through like the first 15 episodes before I just forgot it existed until recently, and now I have to rewatch it because it’s 51 episodes long and I completely forget =w=‘)

~Onegai My Melody (an anime about the 2nd most popular Sanrio character(s), My Melo and Kuromi! It’s actually really cute and I remember binge watching on my laptop in high school) 

~Pretty Cure(pretty much all the seasons but Smile PreCure aka Glitter Force is one of the ones I wanna finish first)

~PriPara(I actually got this on netflix in Japan though no subtitles, I could still get the gist of it and I think had time to watch the first 5 or so episodes while winding down. I’d like to try watching it again)

~Wedding Peach(A classic that I started watching back when Anime Network on Demand was a thing and it was really cute but really old)

~Love Live(I’ve heard literally so much about it but never had the heart to watch it)

~Mermaid Melody PichiPichi Pitch Pure(I HAVE NOT FINISHED WATCHING IT EVEN AFTER ALL THESE YEARS Honestly when watching those 3 part subbed videos on youtube was a common passtime I would and that’s how I watched the entire 1st season, but the 2nd was sooooo hard to come by and I don’t even think the site I use has all of the episodes of Pure plus ADV sucks and dropped the license even though it was 100% dubbed over so it never got released)
