Remembering the greatest of the tenors and Joan's close friend - Luciano Pavarotti (12 October 1935 - 6 September 2007).
Tumblr media
[…] "Going to Australia with Joan, first of all, I've learned to be a very serious professional singer and from her particularly, I learn to breath, who is the most important thing, but the most difficult. More than anything, I think the technique is perfect, I think it's probably the most incredible technique of all the time I would say." […]

In this episode of Humble Faith, Humble Faith Host Sean Kelley discusses adversity and how it affects one's faith through challenges that appear contrary to a loving God with Guest Benjamin Bongers author of "The Farmer, The Miner, and The Artisan". We are all puzzle pieces—some too short, some too tall, some missing pieces of ourselves. Yet we all bring special gifts to others in our lives. In this Nativity story, you will meet 3 people, a Farmer, a Miner, and an Artisan, whose common works produce uncommon results, showing that some of our gifts to others aren’t the ones we think they are. Travel back in time with us to the days of caravans and wisemen, to trading trinkets in the Great Market of Petra, and to what gifts really matter when we follow a new star in the sky.  https://enroutebooksandmedia.com/farmerminerartisan/

“When one is singing high and loud it’s as though one is in light air, high upon a mountain. I feel a lightness and dizziness. Exhilaration too. I’ve never smoked marijuana, but I fancy it might be the same sort of feeling.”

Heyy, could u write pedro pascal x operasinger!reader?? Preferably polish🩷🩷🩷
Kind of proud of how I wrote this. Very cheesy. But whatever. It does not really involve polish like you asked, it’s more general. I hope you’ll love it!
———————————————————————
You'll remember until you die the day you met Pedro. You were in Paris to visit L'Opéra Garnier. You're an opera singer and you've always dreamt of visiting and singing in the most beautiful opera houses. But, you weren't only here to visit. You were also going to sing there. Since the world is actually very small, Pedro was there too. You were sitting in the middle of the seats, admiring the stage, lost in your own thoughts. You were about to make your dream come true. The noise of pictures being taken snapped you out of it. You gasped when you saw someone in the alley on your left behind you.
"Oh shit!" You heard the man say when he heard you "I'm sorry I didn't mean to scare you!" he looked around "I didn't think anyone would be here right now. At least that's what I was told"
"I'm sorry if I scared you too" you stood up "I didn't know they just let people in like that"
"You're one to talk"
"Touché" you smiled. He walked closer to you. "Now what a beautiful woman like you is doing here all alone?"
"And what a fine man like you is also doing here alone?" You walked at the edge of the row, closer to him.
"I'm not alone" he smiled. You recognised who he was now. But you didn't say anything, it was going to ruin the moment. Plus he was so beautiful you didn't know what to say. His hair was styled perfectly, he was wearing some glasses and he had a nice little beard.
"The show isn't for another few hours you know"
"I know" But what you didn't know, it's that he recognised you too. Pedro Pascal is a man of very fine taste and very diverse. But like you did, he pretended not to know you. "Will I see you in there tonight?" He asked, his eyes not leaving yours. You could feel your body getting hotter by the second.
"You will" you smiled. Then a voice from afar cut you.
"Pedro we need to go and get ready!" someone said
"I guess I know your name now" you said in victory
"Can I know yours?"
"Y/n"
"Pretty name. Goes perfectly with your pretty face."
"That was a nice line" you both laughed
"It's just the truth" you still didn't break eye contact "I guess I have to go but I'll see you later" he started to walk away, but then stopped "save that beautiful voice for tonight" you didn't say anything, just laughed.
At first you thought he was being flirty, like he would make you use your voice later in the night, but when you made it on stage and you saw him up there, you realised what he meant. The way he smiled and applauded you, he said that because he knew who you were. He wasn't surprised to see you on stage. Just like you weren't surprised when you saw him backstage.
"That was such a beautiful performance" he said, coming behind you as you were sitting in front of your mirror, taking off the heavy make up.
"I saved my voice" you stared at him through the mirror while he simply nodded. "You knew who I was didn't you?"
"Guilty"
"It's okay, I'm guilty too I guess, Mister Pascal" He laughed, still looking at you through the mirror.
And you keep reminding yourself of that moment every time before going on stage. It made you love opera even more, because you met the love of your life that night. Thanks to the opera, you met him, and you've never left each other's side after that night. You traveled with him, seeing him on set, performing on TV, just like he traveled with you too, going to opera houses wherever there was one, singing there, going to live shows.
You moved in together after almost year, you got engaged after almost three years, and you got married before four years. What's next?
