My entry for @bluejay-flies's design contest! the theme being galaxy is exactly my forte and I was quite excited to make my character!

His name is Oracle and they are a protector of space, they have a nebula lion mane and a star in place of an eye as well as one her chest and tail, I have a teeny bit of backstory planed but it's still in the works. (I really like this guy :3)

Oblivia's an interesting region.

It's full of ruins and temples for legendary Pokemon, the Ranger Signs that let you summon pokemon, including legendaries, which are locked behind rematches, quests, and the ones the game doesn't tell you about, and all that's after you get your Styler modified so it can actually use them. Then there's the Steelheads... With magical armor that can control pokemon, and slowly takes over the users mind...

Then there's the pure golden armor, able to control far more powerful pokemon, along with other Steelheads, and makes the wearer fucking immortal (you only need to wear a single piece of the armor for these, and there's five) Celebi sends you back in time to stop Ellios, an oracle and head of the Light Temple, from trying to use it to control Arceus, while you're also trying to stop the Societea from trying to use it to get eternal youth, and their leader, Edward, controls fucking Mewtwo with only two pieces of this thing. (Why the hell did the oracles make these things?? Why didn't they destroy them after Ellios literally tried to control god???)

I feel like the fact Oblivia has the audacity to even exist, is definitive proof there is magic in the Pokemon universe.

Mewtwo, the genetic Pokémon. Ability: pressure Mewtwo was created by science, in a series of cruel gene splicing and dna engineering experiments. The first and most powerful Mewtwo was birthed on February 6, and the scientific journal states that a Mew was caught and impregnated with the modified clone, and the others were grown in lab equipment. Mewtwo are said to lack compassion, and to strike fear into the hearts of all Pokémon. It was modified to be the strongest of all Pokémon, the ultimate battle weapon, because of this it thinks only of defeating foes. This, plus the pain and fear of suffered during inception, and the betrayal of being used as a weapon, have a huge part to play in its savagery. The first Mewtwo ended up hosting a competition between all of the worlds strongest Pokémon, which most of us remember, urf, super emotional. The movie resolves with Mewtwo seeing the error of its ways, restoring the world to the way it was before, and taking the other genetically modified Pokémon away some place safe. The other Mewtwo don’t share the same level of aggression as the first, but mainly keep to themselves, sleeping in caves storing power. Mewtwo is of course based off the original Mew, but it’s genetic enhancements were modeled after grey aliens. Mewtwo represents soul searching, introspection, isolation, loneliness, inner guidance, and withdrawals.Mewtwo appears when you are in need of a break from all of the external influences of the outside world, and turn your energies and attention inwards. Now is a time of realizing the deepest truths and answers you seek can be found inside your deepest self. Retreat into your private self and experience a time of introspection. If you’re having trouble connecting to your spiritual self, this can be a clue to make time for meditation in your life. Explanation again, in case this gets reblogged: When I was thirteen, I wrote a very, very, very silly fanfic called The Type Chart. It was a Pokémon/The Matrix crossover parody, where computer hacker Neo, a Keanu Reeves lookalike madly in love with his desktop computer, takes a red pill and wakes up to discover that in reality, everyone is actually a Pokémon, trapped in Pokéballs by humans to harvest their plentiful energy, and kept complacent by a virtual reality called The Type Chart, wherein the Pokémon believe that they are humans and Pokémon is just a kids’ fad from, like, 1998 or something. With the assistance of Morpheus the Charizard and Trinity the Butterfree, Neo the Scyther is given some cool shades (necessary to reveal the true Pokémon form of the humans inside the Type Chart), learns to fly with the wings he’s always had, trains himself in a subreality where he can beat up a level 255 Magikarp known as the Punchbagikarp, visits the wise oracle Missingno. in Glitch City to learn of his true nature as the One (though interrupted by a zany conversation with a Kadabra about spoons and whether there is one), and faces off against Agent Mewtwo Smith.

What an E3 scoop it has been for Nintendo folks, lemme tell y’all. Not only with got Dragon Quest’s Hero, but we also got Banjo-Kazooie into the mix too! Sweet lord that was a mouthful, and now I feel like Pooh’s Adventures, adding characters into a story where they don’t belong. So, how did all of these guys meet up with the Smash roster? Killing succubus was illegal because an Oracle foretold that a succubus named "Albedo the scorpion" would appear and be able to return human's that have been moisturized to their former humanity. Guardian of the school was Mewtwo disguised as a person and I told them I knew they were level 100 cuz I was god and made this whole world. I had a fun 6 stage boss fight with them. They never turned into mewtwo tho, more like Al the chemist the whole fight. There were monsterized humans who had their brains still and talked and worked for the kingdom and did stuff.

Fire Starter bipedalness

This is a sort of part 2 to my post on the Grass starter final evo and relation to the new starters, this time dealing with the fire starter. These point  might not be good or even right but they are something to think about.

Now lets begin with game freaks second child Charizard. My theory is to why Charizard is bipedal is due to gamefreak subconsciously wanting to make it popular. That’s why it didn’t want to listen to Ash at first, they wanted people to respect it even more then I think Mewtwo. That’s why its one of the few pokemon left behind by ash that actually returned. And although they want it to be respected they also wanted it to be marketable that’s why its official art has it doing a forward facing Akuma pose something it shares with Yoshi.

Now the literal sequel to the Charizard line the Typhlosion line. While cyndaquil most likely walks like a pangolin  and quilava is often depicted as quadrupedal with the ability to stand up, Typhlosion is depicted as a biped. Now while Charizard was gamefreaks silver child Typhlosion wasn’t given that and as such is depicted as a feral beast hitting a similar string to Charizard. That’s why in my opinion its regional form is better because it steps away from that feral beast aspect and gives it a caring demeanor that yes Typhlosion in the anime might of had but its more pronounced with its regional form.

Now as a chicken the Torchic line had to be bipedal, because I’ve seen a picture what a quadrupedal chicken looks likes and its terrifying. But in all seriousness Blaziken and it’s fire fighting brothers are bipedal because of the very nature of the fighting type. Think about it between the sword of justice and the sword and shield wolf duo there are no quadrupedal fighting types and even if you count stufful it evolves into the bipedal Bewear. In addition Blaziken’s inspiration is most likely the Shamo chicken a large breed of chicken known for cock fighting which is why Blaziken is fighting type and from pictures I’ve seen they look like they’re reading for scrapping.

The Chimchar line, by the very nature of being a monkey/ape (pokemon) just like its contemporary the grookey line its going to stand up. Now unlike Rillaboom where the source material is rather obscure if you go searching, Infernape beats you over the head with the fact its based on the monkey king with the exception of having a size changing staff.

The gen 5 starter are the odd ones out when it comes to starters, and this doubly applies to the tepig line. While I do appreciate emboar, there is really no reason for it or Pignite to be bipedal other than the assumed reference to pigsy from journey to the west.

Now being fair to the Delphox line,and I heard this somewhere possibly either from the youtuber gaijin goomba or Overly sarcastic productions said (and don’t quote me here) humans are the top of the food chain spiritually in Buddhism so at least for Delphox it makes a bit of sense even if its name suggest the Oracle delphi. In addition if they did make Delphox a quadruped it would just be Ninetail but with the psychic type and I’m pretty sure gamefreak didn’t want that.

Incineroar has the opposite problem of what I assumed people have with Samurott. For Samurott the problem is why make its pre-evolutions bipedal then the huge shift to a quadrupedal form. Incineroar’s problem is why make its pre- evolutions quadrupedal then shift to a drastic bipedal form. It doesn’t even have the excuse of being a fighting type because although similar pokemon like Pangoro and Krookodile are bipedal they have the excuse a of not looking like a wrestler in a fur costume and looking at least like the form that came before.

Finally we get to Cinderace. Most rabbit pokemon are bipedal and the only thing you really could do with a rabbit pokemon is make it evolve into a Jackalope or other such mythical rabbit cryptid and even then it possible to make it bipedal. That being said though the other rabbit pokemon at least look more animalistic even Lopunny despite its concept looks more animalistic then Cinderace with its pronounced snout and lack of marking that indicate clothing (if you don’t count the fur on its legs). 

Now were at Fuecoco, its contemporaries are its fellow starter the Totodile line  and the Sandile line. Now it would be easy to say that Fuecoco would just evolve into a bigger crocodile but its never that easy, in a series where you got to analyze the fact a fish turning into an octopus is actually a gun turning into a cannon or something its never that easy. Fuecoco is already bipedal we can only hope it doesn’t turn humanoid now
