Ok so the dream starts out with me and my family going on vacation in like Orlando and we're having a good time and I don't remember an entire chunk of it but suddenly we're in an Italian commercial for Epcot and we're all the animated Pixar characters. I'm Remy and suddenly someone asks where Emile is so the camera zooms into us in our little rat restaurant where I'm making stuff and Emile is just sitting there. I go to the beach and there's this monster murderer that takes some lady and drags her underwater. Me and my rat self jump into the water to save her. Some more stuff happens and suddenly my family is back but we're all adventure time characters. Jake is there, lady rainicorn is there, and I'm Finn. We're on a boardwalk nature trail sort of thing along the beach when we see that lady. She like looks at us suspiciously and asks us some questions and then goes back to whatever tf she was doing. My family and I go meet princess bubblegum up by some giant mass of treasure and junk. We start digging through it when Jake starts talking about how some of this may be junk, but some of it is also treasure. Anyways the girl who was in danger before ends up in danger again, I go save her, and then I start walking down the road and I pass by this huge gathering thing in this huge amphitheatre where the residents of Orlando are going and the mood of the dream suddenly changes and they're announcing that there's a murderer out on the loose and we need to be wary and (tw written gore here on‼️) then I get pulled into an alley and stabbed to death. It was surprisingly bloody. Usually my nightmares stop shortly after I get murdered but this time you could see my organs and everything. The murderer started pulling out my intestines and cutting them up and throwing them everywhere

“We all have our own artists that have a big influence on how we play,” Smith told the Spinnaker. The High Ground has pop-punk and metal influences like State Champs, Metallica, Iron Maiden and Silverstein. The High Ground // Photo courtesy of Honor Photography Smith is a freshman Music Technology major here at UNF. Dillon Smith joined as the drummer in early 2018, following the release of their first EP. Parker is on lead vocals, Jack is on lead guitar and Matthew is on bass. “We both always had the same love for music, especially rock.” “Me and Andrew have been friends since as long as I can remember,” bassist Matthew said. The High Ground was formed last summer when brothers Jack and Matthew Brown started playing with their friend Andrew Parker on vocals. While most music fans their age are hoping to make it to the barricade at Vans Warped Tour, The High Ground is playing it in two weeks. This is the reality for one UNF student who plays in an Orlando-based pop-punk band, The High Ground. Another, you’re performing on the same tour that big names like Sum 41 and blink-182 have headlined.

Davy Flowers Debuts Full-Length Album "I Was Loved"
Tumblr media
Dallas-based singer/songwriter and worship leader Davy Flowers is celebrating two major milestones this week with the release of her full-length debut, I Was Loved, as well as the success of the record-breaking “The Kingdom Tour,” which currently ranks as one of Pollstar’s Live 75 top outings.    Flowers’ highly anticipated debut from The Worship Initiative, I Was Loved was produced by Shane Barnard (Shane & Shane) with two tracks produced by Bryan Fowler (TobyMac). A worshipful pop collection exuding intimate joyfulness, I Was Loved includes songwriting contributions from such names as Mia Fieldes, Sarah Reeves and Lindy Conant, among others. Featuring 12 tracks—11 of which were co-penned by Flowers—the album opens with “You,” an earnest proclamation of Christ’s sufficiency, and is highlighted by such selections as the debut single and title-cut, an autobiographical piano-driven ballad; and “Oh, But God,” a jubilant anthem celebrating His grace.    “Every single declaration of Truth on this record I have truly FOUGHT to believe for many of the years that I have walked with Christ,” Flowers shares. “I have struggled to believe that the Father is never going to stop loving me, regardless of the rise and fall of my own weak attempt to love and serve Him. Yet, He has set His affection on us and determined before the foundation of the world that we belong to Him! Our position in the family of God has been purchased and sealed by the sacrifice of Christ, who alone is worthy of our wholehearted worship and abandoned obedience.”
Tumblr media
“Davy has been part of The Worship Initiative community for a while, and we’ve gotten to know her very well,” says Shane Barnard. “She has always been deeply passionate about Jesus and His living Word, and she’s a natural fit with the mission of The Worship Initiative. We couldn’t be more excited to help Davy share her songs and her heart with the world.” Flowers is currently on the road performing with Housefires, special guests along with Jonathan McReynolds on the 37-city “The Kingdom Tour” headlined by GRAMMY-winning collective Maverick City Music and 16-time GRAMMY winner Kirk Franklin. Kicking off June 1 at Miami’s FTX Arena, the tour also hit Orlando’s Amway Center, Tampa’s MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre, and Atlanta’s Lakewood Amphitheatre in its first weekend, breaking a record for highest gate gross amount with a combined total audience of more than 50,000 people. Born and raised in Houston, Davy Flowers currently serves as a resident artist at The Worship Initiative in Dallas, as well as a worship leader at Dallas’ Watermark Community Church. Her music reflects a story of healing and triumph in Jesus, and her passion is to connect broken and weary hearts with the power, presence and love of God through her songs and worship leading. https://open.spotify.com/album/6SCImSTo63Wk8Apr8IC9ku?si=1fb071cd1ba54b7d Read the full article

HERE’S WHAT YOU MISSED THIS WEEK (11.6-11.12.19):
NEW MUSIC:
·         With Confidence premiered their cover and music video of Train’s iconic track “Drops of Jupiter.” The band, along with many others, are contributors to the second volume of Songs That Saved My Life by Hopeless Records and their nonprofit organization, Sub City.
·         Poppy premiered her brand new track “BLOODMONEY,” alongside a video that finds her kicking ass and taking names. This comes after wrapping up a run on the Threesome Tour with Bring Me the Horizon and Sleeping with Sirens.
·         Originally slated to be released last Friday, All Time Low livestreamed their tribute Nothing Personal documentary a day early on Twitch. Speaking with Alternative Press, frontman Alex Gaskarth revealed the reasoning behind the band’s decision to rerecord the album.
·         Bring Me the Horizon debuted their fiery new track “Ludens” from the forthcoming soundtrack Death Stranding: Timefall (Original Music from the World of Death Stranding). Yesterday, the band shared their new action-packed music video for the song.
·         The Blink-182 live album, The Mark, Tom and Travis Show (The Enema Strikes Back!), is finally available to stream again in certain regions on Spotify. Recorded in 1999, the album includes material from the trio’s first three albums: Cheshire Cat, Dude Ranch and Enema of the State.
·         Motionless in White released a new music video for their song “Undead Ahead 2: The Tale of the Midnight Ride.” They also added more dates to their co-headlining tour with Beartooth and revealed Stick to Your Guns will be joining them on the full 2020 run.
·         You, Me and Everyone We Know teased fans on their social media accounts and also posted a video of an acoustic track on their website, marking their first new song since 2016. Back in 2016, the band revealed in a Tumblr post explaining their reasoning for calling it quits.
·         Fireworks released a brand new track last Thursday titled “Demitassem,” making the song the first new music by the band since 2014. They also tweeted a link to a website that offers a survey and then takes you to the song.
·         After the announcement that their new album You’re Welcome would be released November 15, A Day to Remember took to Instagram last Friday to delay it. The album is now slated to be released in early 2020.
·         As It Is’ latest EP in their reimagined versions series, Acceptance: Reimagined, was released and features reimagined versions of “The Haunting,” “The Hurt, The Hope” and “The End.” Starting this past March, the band have been reworking The Great Depression into different styles.
·         Waterparks felt like taking control of their old music and released a medley of sorts of some songs from their second album, Entertainment. While the 7:43 song features elements from the entire album, it showcases “Tantrum”, “Crybaby” and “Peach (Lobotomy).”
·         Billie Eilish took to Twitter to announce her new single “Everything I Wanted.” The song will be Eilish’s first new music since her debut album, When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?, was released in March of this year.
·         Silverstein announced plans to release an album of concert recordings, LIVE: When Broken is Easily Fixed. Slated for release November 19th, the record is compiled from various recordings from their 2018-2019 tour centered on their debut album of the same name.
·         Weezer snagged Adam DeVine and Barak Hardley, who appear in the upcoming comic thriller Spell, for the strangest therapy session in their “California Snow” video. The band dropped their Black Album earlier this year.
TOUR ANNOUNCEMENTS:
·         Falling in Reverse canceled their forthcoming Episode IV Tour with Crown the Empire and Tom MacDonald, set to kick off last Thursday, November 7th. The cancellation comes with the tragic news of guitarist Derek Jones’ fiancé suffering complications from her metastatic cancer.
·         Angels & Airwaves announced the addition of a second leg for their upcoming winter tour, which will kick off in January 2020. The news comes on the heels of the release for AVA’s “Kiss & Tell” music video.
·         Andrew McMahon in the Wilderness and AWOLNATION are teaming up for the Lightning Riders Tour next summer. The run kicks off in late May in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and wraps up in Troutdale, Oregon, in June.
·         My Chemical Romance added another show for their reunion run at Download Japan 2020. Billboard also confirmed former touring drummer Jarrod Alexander would join them for the reunion shows, and the band revealed Thursday would be their opener.
·         Billie Eilish headed to White’s label studio in Nashville last Wednesday with brother and collaborator FINNEAS. She is also partnering with Global Citizen to offer fans a chance to work their way into the shows on her tour.
·         Ed Sheeran joined ONE OK ROCK onstage at Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Japan, on the latter’s Eye of the Storm Japan Tour. ONE OK ROCK supported Sheeran on the Asia leg of his Divide World Tour in April and May earlier this year.
·         Fall Out Boy played a “special show” with iHeartRadio in Seattle yesterday and offered locals the chance to attend at no cost. The band are preparing to release another greatest hits record and live-streamed the entire gig, also doing a Q&A and chat about their upcoming tour.
·         In This Moment announced that they are bringing along Black Veil Brides, DED and Raven Black for a spring tour. The In Between Tour kicks off March 24th at the Orlando House of Blues and wraps up May 17th in Morrison, Colorado, at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:
JUDAS PRIEST ANNOUNCE 50 HEAVY METAL YEARS TOUR 2020
One of heavy metal’s all-time greats, Judas Priest will be celebrating their 50th anniversary this year with a world tour coming to the US in the fall. The 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will also feature Sabaton as openers and is being fueled by the highest charting album of Priest’s career ‘Firepower’ which peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200.
“Judas Priest are primed and ready to deliver the goods with our 50 Heavy Metal Years anniversary celebration stage show spectacular! Performing a blistering cross section of songs from our lives in metal - we can't wait to raise horns with you again at this once in a metal lifetime event!” - Judas Priest
Judas Priest originally formed in 1970 in Birmingham, England (an area that many feel birthed heavy metal). The original nucleus of musicians - Rob Halford, Glenn Tipton, KK Downing & Ian Hill (along with several different drummers over the years) would go on to change the face of heavy metal. Throughout the 70's Priest were responsible for helping trail blaze metal with such classic offerings as ‘Sad Wings of Destiny’ (1976) ‘Sin After Sin’ (1977) and ‘Hell Bent for Leather’ (1978) as well as one of the genre’s top live recordings ‘Unleashed in the East’ (1979) among others.
But it was during the 80's that Priest conquered the world, becoming a global arena headliner on the strength of such all-time classics as ‘British Steel’ (1980) and ‘Screaming for Vengeance’ (1982), as well as being one of the first metal bands to be embraced by the then-burgeoning MTV, plus performing at some of the decades biggest concerts (1980’s Monsters of Rock, 1983’s US Festival, and 1985’s Live Aid) and being the first to exclusively wear leather and studs – a look that began during this era and would eventually be embraced by metal heads throughout the world. Priest’s success continued throughout the 90's and beyond with the addition of drummer Scott Travis, as evidenced by such additional stellar offerings as ‘Painkiller’ (1990) ‘Angel of Retribution’ (2005) and ‘A Touch of Evil: Live’ (2009) the latter of which saw Priest win a Grammy Award for a killer rendition of the classic 'Dissident Aggressor'
In 2011 new guitarist Richie Faulkner came in to replace the previous guitarist who had left in 2010 - the move seemed to have reinvigorated the band, as evidenced by a show-stealing performance on the 'American Idol' TV program that also served as Faulkner's debut performance with the band (also in 2011 was the release of a new compilation 'The Chosen Few' which included Priest classics selected by some of metal's biggest names) and the 'Epitaph' concert DVD in 2013.
Priest’s next studio effort would arrive in 2014 ‘Redeemer of Souls’ which was supported by another strong tour.
In 2017 (and again in 2019) Judas Priest received a nomination for the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and got ready to unleash their latest studio album ‘Firepower’ (produced by Andy Sneap and Tom Allom) which received global success and critical acclaim.
Few rock or metal acts remain as much of a must-see live attraction as Judas Priest. And the forthcoming 50 Heavy Metal Years Tour will undoubtedly drive this point home.
