They had learned that the dragons that came to their land were less than inclined to interact with them. The others were bitter and aggressive even if their attacks did little to scathe the animus who kept them trapped to this land. Not to mention that interacting directly also messed with the story, the art form, they were supposed to WATCH from the shadows cast by the stage lights, not to be blinded by them like the common wyrms who stood beneath them. No. They were the director. So, they needed an actor, their personal pick to guide the story where it needed to go, something that the dragons would respond to... And this little viper would be the key.-

OKay @dumpsterfirepropaganda mentioned a ZX AU with Model Ws being like, a zombie-style infection and OF COURSE I had to brainstorm up a Model O variant over on the ZX Discord. So here's the summary lol.

The Model O strain was accidentally created when Vent and Aile, desperate for a cure, tried to see if Model O/Omega would be able to override the control and/or mutations of Model W. Vent/Aile just wanted to find a way to counteract the W virus, and Prairie's situation made them desperate so they went YOLO mode and unleashed a small model W infected into Area N and/or threw a model O at one because they knew Omega was the source of the original maverick virus. And they were hoping so hard that there would be an immunity there, or a poison-fights-cancer-first sort of thing (like radiation treatment, only with ancient maverick). But they only partly succeeded. Because yes Omega was technically immune (pissed off at them for throwing a model W at him though) and the O strain does indeed override the W virus… but it just makes things WORSE instead of better.

The O-strain infected retain more of their concious and soul instead of being completely consumed like the W-strain victims, but it also powers them up and makes them unpredictable and violent. (Model O & W double megamerge basically. Eff that.) Due to the nature of Area N, the O-strain has been imprisoned successfully, so far, in Area N... barely. Vent/Aile are secretly sitting with their metaphorical thumbs in the dam/dike and praying to whatever gods will listen that their mistake stays sealed away.

…what's worse is that you get the combined effect of Omega's control and the infectiousness of the W virus. OMEGA CAN CONTROL THE INFECTED. And possibly the only reason he hasn't controlled the infected en masse so far is that he's still sealed un Area N and Vent/Aile are ABSOLUTELY KEEPING IT THAT WAY.

It's known that Model W hosts often gain unwieldy or mobility-reducing mutations as their disease progresses. Omega strain hosts do not do this. Unlike W strains all of their mutations are often streamlined and deadly, almost seeming to have a purpose. They are "antisocial" compared to W hosts; they do not seek other infected victims in their end days to join together for an Ouroboros. Instead they seek to gain mass through violence, gaining mass solely for themselves… AKA they are much more independant. W-strain hosts get a homing instinct to beds to amalgamate. O-strain uses that homing instinct to gorge itself and make itself more powerful, and they will cannibalize W-strain hosts if the opportunity arises. …And, like, anything else within range too probably XD

In short... Where W's are bulky, intimidating tanks that can take a lot of damage but are slow as hell, O's are fast and vicious fuckers.

This sort of data is mostly conjecture and one or two cases. Thankfully Omega/O strains have been kept mostly contained. Only one O strain host accidentally breached the containment of Area N. It was NOT a fun experience.

If there's one saving grace, its that O-strain is much less contagious… or maybe the infected just kills any possible hosts too quickly…?

PS; no one even knew that the O host escapee was a different strain from other infected. Aile/Vent hunted that sucker down ASAP. It was just a terrifying outlier that thankfully never repeated, as far as most people (including the Masters of Legion) know.

Probably O strain hosts have red instead of white for some body parts and drip gooey black ichor. For the Aesthetic (tm).

Omega himself has long gone mad due to isolation and Weil's previous machinations, so combined with the virus he's become a monstrous foe not to be tangled with. He can mutate seemingly at will.

Two years ago I drew early Gatekeeper AU art while grieving the loss of my parent. The idea of "ouroboros," I was dealing with my pain inward if not drawing it out. The small drawings are funny to me now as they were back then XD

The meat of it was an "Oizys' rage" comic which I intended to post quietly when done, but two-thirds to completing the sketches I lost steam. Even more time passed and the AU went through rewrites, making the comic irrelevant and scrapped.

A bit of a shame because it's probably the best of Lou I've ever drawn. Maybe I'll repurpose some of the drawings one day, in the meantime these are my favorites!

The comic was called "Utterly," based on the poem "There Will Come Soft Rains." That's just an explanation for the stick people and robots at the end here; it was raining!

One hand returning to his hip, Loki's other runs through his hair, nearly bumping against a smaller horn crown he's sporting to go with a new black suit, gold thread patterning the jacket.

"I don't really know how long it's been. I'd say it's in line with the time here, but it's entirely possible I've Slipped. For me, it's been at least a few hundred years, give or take, with everything I've seen. As for the branches, it was a task getting them there but once I'd woven them I only really needed to sit there connecting them, giving them life until they were strong enough alone. It's catching up with him, the fact that he has just hugged someone again after so very long a time, after spending so many years being only a spectator. He'd been able to communicate with people during that time, so he isn't bonkers with loneliness, but the craving for touch, that, that puts a look of haunted wildness in the god's expression, even masked with his awkward smile. There's so much he wants to do and ask. He'd run around the walls given half the chance.

Ouroboros blinked, a flicker of surprise crossing his features as Loki wrapped him in an unexpectedly hearty embrace. The sensation was unfamiliar and he grappled with the novelty of being on the receiving end of such physical contact. In his secluded basement, interaction had been a rarity until recent turn of events. Even then, closeness had not been a priority. Preventing the meltdown of the temporal loom and, consequently, the entire universe was. Ignoring the warmth stirring in his chest, Ouroboros focused on the intriguing information Loki presented. Organic branches? Natural state?

As Loki spoke, Ouroboros furrowed his brows, his mind racing to comprehend the complexity of the situation. Despite the comfort of Loki's familiar voice, his gut spoke otherwise. As Murphy’s law dictates: 'Anything that can go wrong will go wrong.' While Ouroboros typically leaned towards optimism, current circumstances might demand a more realistic approach. "I’ve been working with Miss Minutes. Hunter-B15 says she’s going to doom us all but…" He dismissed the concern with a nonchalant shrug.

Returning to the heart of the matter, the engineer's mind continued to churn. "How long has it been? What was it like holding together those branches?"

STUDY IN LOKI ROMANCE Part 1: Ouroboros

Since we're only a few days away from the last episode, I decided to COUNT DOWN everything we´ve got so far ( that can be interpreted very easily as romantic ) and discuss what the actual fuck is going on with second season. Because even though I shipped lokius practically from S1E2, I absolutely did NOT expect this kind of development. (Not that I´m complaining) Warning: This is gonna be LONG post, lots of screenshots, lots of SPOILERS, lot of "oh-my-god-they-so-cute" language, and little bit of meta. I originally thought that this post would be everything at once, but since I have just too many screenshots this time around, I´ll have to split it. so every post will be one episode. Color coding means:

IIIIIIIIII = anything, that coud potentialy be just acting choice.

IIIIIIIIII = everything else (tzn.: whatever was written, and/or carefully prepared by filmmakers. )

side note: I already wrote, about how amazing it is, that Mobius is unable to fight but fights anyway and how beautifuly, and ridiculously brave he is HERE. But this is about Loki/Mobius interactions, so I´ll try my best not to talk about THAT. (Even when I´m really happy, that s2 continues with this formula and Mobius is still his completely defenseless while aggressively brave self. I love him, btw.)

Soooo EPISODE 1, le´t go: 1)"Mobius It´s me!" few second in and we have slowmo chasing scene with detail on Loki, and Mobius and then THIS Loki´s heartbreaking look on his face here.

2) "Tell me, you recognize me!" (Loki trying to desperetly find Mobius, and then running towards him) Also If this Time slipping didn´t triggered anything external, but It´s just his own, unlocked power - I honestly don´t know, how they will explain that - does that mean, that he unknowingly unlocked this power, because he was send by Silvie into the past, and then he was simply desperete and Mobius couldn´t recognized him so his body reacted by time slipping to place and time, where Mobius would know who he is???

3) this very unexpected exhibition of touches (meaning Mobius practicaly glueing himself to Loki for this entire section)

I´m sorry, but my man here is like "no, I´m not about to let you have a personal space. NOT. AN. OPTION. let me hold you some more" xD

4) This scene in in an elevator first of all, that was a second time, he slipped and was RIGHT back with Mobius, the very next second. secondly: Mobius being scared for Loki and insisting he needs immediate help thirdly: Loki reassuring Mobius, It´s not that bad.

I mean... this whole scene was absolute TOP! So yeah. That was a first episode. before the premiere I was litteraly hoping, that I will see our Loki and our Mobius together at least ONCE, before first end credits. I actually couldn´t believe my own eyes, holy shit!

I started this when the last chapter came out but i didnt get the chance to color it until today and JABSKEJBW

I am. So proud of myself.

Anyways ramblings about the art.

Starting off silly, no one but Sen has arms because i suck at drawing those.

The symbols on the third picture are a nod to Sen's unvulnerability to them. Since tha Anacondrai don't have a symbol (At leats not one that I could find) i just used the typical Ninjago symbol for "snake".

On the fourth panel each symbol is replaced by the Fangblade corresponding to each tribe. Again, since there's only four Fangs, the Anacondrai symbol is replaced by Chen's Anacondrai hide. (The Sen/Chen paralels are driving me insane thank you).

On to the fifth panel, each character is covered by an element that represents their role in the story so far; Pythor, as the self-aclaimed Messiah too far consumed in his rage, is shrouded in a shadow resembling the Great Devourer. Lloyd, the Green Ninja (And future Golden Ninja) is surrounded by light and streams of gold. Then there's Spitta (Aka Scar). While he has been shown to be fond of Sen, he also betrayed her last chapter, seemingly out of nowhere. As we, the readers, don't know his reasoning or goals with this betrayal, he is hidden behind a wall of smoke.

In the last panel Sen is covered in grime, sand and dried blood to his arduous stay in Ouroboros, which I made to look like scales due to her new understanding of the Serpentine as a whole. Due to her head being submerged in poison during her Slither Pit fight, she has green dots all over her skin, hair and eyes. The story makes it clear the poison didn't leave any lasting damage, but I thought it'd be cool if it stayed with her, so it's my headcanon that Sen now has a couple of these green spots all over her head even after getting back to the Bounty. I also like to think they glow in the dark. Very faintly, sure, but noticeable enough to make people do a double take.

Sometimes, Sometimes one just decides to design banners and house crests for an au- this 'one' in question is me. So it's time for more Dragon Rider AU crumbs.

I will clean this up eventually, but honestly I like the bare bones sketches

Associated Characters/House Heads:

The house banners apply to the house 'heads' and their associated family - like for instance XD and Dream share the family crest due to being brothers, same for Bad, Skeppy and Sapnap sharing Bad's and so on and so forth.

I don't know if everyone will get house names/proper last names in this case but maybe. They get banners at least cause I needed ones regardless for The Antarctic Empire and Orboros (decided to name the 'main' kingdom/the general SMP after a play on Ouroboros, rolls off the tongue better than Essempi for me)

Same, whenever I tinker with ideas, I basically make like, a Chat Blanc equivalent more like a vision than a full timeline. Less 'what will happen' and more 'what could be'.

Also if we're sharing revised Miraculous in the asks again, I know I've bandied the about before but I've tinkered with my Twelve Miraculous since then XD

IE, I fuse some Kami with similar ideas so bull & Turtle are just variations on a theme over bubble shield or total immunity. Also the Kwami are broken into groups of four 'eras', and usually at least loosely connected by time of origin, though the connection actually grows weaker as the universe became more complicated. This is also why the Eldest trio have both a lot of power but also fairly simplistic abilities.

Creation (Planck) Ladybug - Creation & Purification Cat - Destruction & Mutation Snake - Ouroboros & Time

Elemental (Matter)Tiger - Combustion & Chaos Bee - Order & Subjugation Dragon - Storm & Power

Life (Abiogenesis) Peacock - Evocation & Transmutation Mouse - Multiplication & Duplication Turtle - Protection & Resilience

Animal (Caveasphaera) Horse - Action & Migration Fox - Mirage & Materialization Butterfly - Emotion & Transmission

Prodigious Qilin - Fission & Fusion OR Magma & Melting

Notes:

Rather than just the Black Cat & Ladybug one needs Sass as well for a wish equivalent. I also think each trio gets their own "Epic Magic" combo that is thematically appropriate.

Bee was tricky to place but as stability came about in the matter era & they embody order. I figure Subjugation is kind of like an evolution of that in the same way mutation and purification likely were. Pollen brings stability & structure to the chaotic powers.

I added mutation to give the Cat something to balance then, out with Tikki without majorly disrupting anything. Whether mutation or Purification cancel the other out is a coin flip as is the result of mutation so it can be either obscenely OP or useless. Hence not seeing much use but being a potential game changer.

Still not 100% on the Prodigious, but I think being a nuclear nightmare would sell the danger. Will need more research to determine powers beyond glowy hair. Likely from the same 'era' as the Elementals. Magma & Melting could also work as a terrestrial dragon equivalent & for combining objects/materials, but comes off as less OP.

The Peacock's power it to emphasize existing traits. Like re-organizing a metal into its strongest or weakest state; or to change the elemental composition of its target into another state. Its era represent multi-cellular life, plants, metamorphosis, & generally how things became competitive hence defense.

The final four have some of the broadest powers, but also the hardest to control as they embody a lot of chaotic, thinking, feeling entities. Kaalki has it easiest, being variations on moving from one locale to another, but there's a lot of ways it can go wrong. Fox can get into the minds of others, hence mirage, or materialize thoughts (IE) illusions, which can get messy.

& the Butterfly, well I'd be using the revised Butterfly lore we discussed. But I took away Transmission & Transformation for emotion and Transmission as Nooro came about when critters got even more complicated & communicative. As a result of their powers, the Butterfly can tap into a great many things but s we've seen with Akuma, not strictly 'control' them, merely guide. Hence being able to create such powerful Akuma, but not really control the specifics.

IE, Nooro is one of the most powerful, but also has the least direct control over their power, while the creation trio have some of the most simplistic powers, but have near total control of said power.

Not sure what the epic magic for each trio would be, or how Unification outside their own trios might influence other efforts at Epic Magic. But its interesting to muse on, at least for me XD

Re: Chat Blanc tho:

My problem with it is less it existing but more like.

Okay so Bunnyx says that Chat Blanc can't happen because she doesn't remember it happening. And she starts disappearing as the episode goes on. Very 'Back to the Future' where she has to make sure Blanc doesn't happen so she'll exist.

But it kinda... causes a loop that shouldn't happen? Because Blanc happens, but is diverted by Bunnyx interfering. But if Blanc happened, then Bunnyx can't interfere, right? So what caused Blanc?

That's why, if I do put Chat Blanc and the time nonsense in (instead of like, making it Sabrina instead or some shit). Then I have it a 'set right what once went wrong' type of plot. Where Marinette abuses the Rabbit's power for personal gain, putting herself in a groudhog day-style loop where she tries over and over again to win a date with Adrien. But her changing things keeps causing little cracks and the problems get bigger and bigger the more she tries to use Time Travel to fix it. Ultimately having Bunnyx step in and make her go through it the same way she did the first time, embarrassing moments and all and not successful. Which shows both a 'messing with the Timeline is unpredictable' and 'there's a reason only some people can use this power responsibly' and all that.
