Regulus Black writes poetry about James and hides it in a locked box beneath his bed. (which in Grimmauld is also under a loose floorboard)

Sirius definitely finds the box and breaks into it before Regulus and James get together and makes fun of Regulus endlessly. (he never tells anyone though)

A year or so later James comes to Sirius in a panic about his developing feelings for Regulus and Sirius feels like it's karma for all the times he's made fun of Regulus for his "embarrassing crush"

He doesn't complain when they get together though.

Hell yes it is oc time babey!!! This is my togruta oc, Yora Tos, who was Brea's master when she was but a young padawan learner! 💖🫶💖

She was never offered a spot on the jedi council due to her being a little too new-age but she loved younglings and was perfectly happy teaching the next generation! Her personality was incredibly laid-back, and when little firecracker Brea was assigned to her, the council was hoping she might be able to calm the young one a little. Unfortunately for them, Yora had a very hands-off 'children will be children' attitude that gave Brea a LOT of freedom instead 😂 she wasn't UNWILLING to discipline her, but she did think Brea would benefit more from learning the consequences of her actions firsthand rather than reprimanding her too often, which eventually she did learn! The two remained very close even after Brea's knightship and I think Yora would have loved to take on other padawan after that, but the war sort of got in the way.

Her features are very soft, her gentle nature is reflected in her rounded patterns as opposed to the usually sharp-edged togruta patterns. Her colors are mainly cool, including her kyber crystal, as I think of her personality being much like flowing water and I wanted that to show it in her design. Her lightsaber also has a tulip-bud tip that I saw in the cartoon saloon star wars short 'Screechers Reach' and thought would be very fitting for her! Her first outfit design was kimono inspired but I decided to go the saree route instead in the second pic!

SO unfortunately for me because Captain is getting changed so much I now have the dilemma of Riku's persona choices. Again 💀

Lugh (second tier) is fine. I am adamant that is not changing - mostly because it fits but also because if I'm honest Lugh is my favourite Irish Celtic God and if I can be self indulgent with Mordred I can be self indulgent with Lugh.

Pimpernel on the other hand is trickier (surprise surprise). I think the reason I am so fixated on getting this right is because the initial persona to me is the most important one - its the one that people tend to remember the most and I feel like it's an important representation of the character.

I think what Pimpernel does fit with, in the context of the new stuff, is Riku's idea of rebellion? Perhaps? Like a gentleman hero who is a master of disguise and saves people from a terrible fate (that is a very bare bones view of Pimpernel mind you) makes sense on paper.

I think what I need to do is define Riku's idea of rebellion. It's kind of hard to put it in to words if I'm honest lol - I know Riku in my head he is like my best friend but when I try to explain it its like uhm 🧍‍♂️

None of this means that I'm actually going to change the persona - if anything this is just me typing my thoughts out.

The phone rang sharply in the quiet farmhouse, the sound breaking the rhythm of the late afternoon. Cyto, standing by the kitchen counter, glanced at it curiously. Honeydew’s phone rarely buzzed—only a handful of people ever called her. Not that he's ever picked up the phone; hell, no one knows he's out here. Not a soul is aware that he, or his father, lives under the same roof.

He tentatively reads the caller ID, it being read simply as "Dad". The knowledge of even speaking with his grandfather, or any family member beyond this region, was far too tempting to pass up.

And against better judgment... Curiosity won. He simply had to know what he sounded like. It was the closest connection with a human he could have beyond his own mother.

Slowly, steadily, he answered the call.

“...Hello?” he said, his tone polite but uncertain.

The voice on the other end was gruff, sharp, and immediately suspicious. “Eh? Who is this? Where’s Honeydew?”

“This is… Her son,” Cyto replied cautiously, the words tasting strange even as he said them. There was silence. An eerie, suffocating silence that stretched far too long, before the voice came roaring back like a thunderclap.

“HER WHAT?! Honeydew doesn’t have a son! Put her on the phone! NOW!”

Cyto winced, holding the phone slightly away from his ear. “She’s not here right now,” he said, voice steady but tense. “I can tell her to call you back—”

“Hold on,” Flint cut in, his voice trembling with equal parts fury and disbelief. “I wanna believe this is some big joke, but I get the feelin' this is serious... H-How… How old are you, kid? You sound a lot older than I expected.”

“...Fifteen,” Cyto admitted, hesitating. That earned him another earful.

“Fifteen?! FIFTEEN?! What the hell has she been hiding from me?!” Flint roared. His words were fast, sharp, cutting through the thin static of the phone line. “Who even are you? Do you go to school? What do you do? Has she ever said a word about me to you? ANYTHING?”

Cyto paused, his throat tightening. He tried to keep his voice calm. “I… I don’t go to school, but... I'm homeschooled. I also help out on the farm. And she’s mentioned you… But only in recounted memories. Other than that, she doesn't say anything.”

That seemed to hit a nerve. Flint’s next words caught in his throat, replaced by a heavy, frustrated exhale. “...Of course, she hasn’t said anything else,” he muttered, voice low and bitter. “She’d rather bury everything than own up to it. I should've known she'd hide news about a baby bein' born... The nerve of that girl.”

Cyto didn’t reply. The phone felt heavier in his hand, the conversation weighing on him. But then he asked the question Cyto had been dreading.

“What about your father, kid? He's still in the picture, right? Who is he?...”

For a moment, the hybrid froze. The weight of the truth—of what that question could unravel—sat heavily in his chest. There was no possible way the truth could would go down well, not even a little bit. How on Earth would anyone in his position be able to explain that can of worms?

Without a word, without even thinking, he reflexively ended the call, hanging up with a sharp beep. Cyto stared at the screen for a long moment, his reflection barely visible in its dark surface. He swallowed hard, a knot of guilt twisting in his stomach. He hadn’t meant for things to go that far. And now… He wasn’t sure how much worse he’d just made everything.

He's so fucking dead for doing that.

James woke up in a cold sweat, he'd once again dreamt of that day. The day he lost who he believes to be the love of his life. The day he saw marked skin that could never be forgiven. Dreamt the feeling of tears falling down his face as he processed the end of what he thought was only the beginning. The look of pain on his boyfriends face as he choked the words out to finish breaking James' heart. The knowledge that the man he loved didn't want this either. The knowledge that this wasn't a breakup due to lost feelings but because there was no other way they could have gone.

The reoccurring dreams hurt so much more because he has never been able to escape the love he feels.

And now they hurt more because he will never see Regulus again,

since he doubts the afterlife will allow them even a second more time than life already gave them.

they were originally a joke ship (which was my last chance to get out) but they grew on me more and more throughout last year, and months later they've become my favorite pair to draw! their name was the funniest thing to make of them because i got to joke around with their jpn names

the tl:dr of them is that there's a lot of good drama to make of thirty-somethings with the weight of responsibility of their respective cultures on their shoulders, as well as their personal thoughts of the trainers of their respective regions, all this culminating together to be really compelling for me to develop, so I'll ramble a Whole lot more under the cut about them :D!!

before they meet its postgame and they’re both in their thirties (early to mid), lance post gsc/hgss still upholds his champion position and managing the dragon's den alongside any g-man/undercover rocket work on the side (in workaholic mode), riley post dppt is occasionally battling at the battleground but also holing himself up with patrols on iron island and doing egg research and training his aura (Also in workaholic mode)

i'd say all the work makes byron and roark try to get him a break from all that, convincing him at some point to take a vacation! see the sights my guy you've been workin yourself to the bone

it's canonically shown in hgss that riley does appear as a partner for the battle tower, so at some point he is in johto! the region resonates with his cultural sensibilities so maybe he revisits it again to instead actually relax there.

lance would probably catch his hat flying away when he's visiting elm's lab (a fellow egg researcher) in new bark and riley would have absolutely fell first for him (and i'm a sucker for meet-cutes,,,)

and from there they hit it off! being both skilled trainers in their own right they battle and go out to eat after and talk about their family (clair and the elders, for riley's case his family friends byron and roark), their culture (dragon clans and aura guardians), and then when they talk about their respective trainer kiddos (silver and dawn) something clicks between them (it’s a Really rough snippet but hopefully it’s decent)-

"Do you have any kids? I know the news loves to make up some kind of story about secret love affairs with a random person." the guardian says, awkwardly.

Lance smiles, "Oh, yeah! I have one but he's technically not mine." Riley chokes on his iced tea.

"I'm sorry?" A million thoughts roll through his mind as he processes his words said so matter-of-factly.

"Haha, sorry, sorry, I'm only partly joking."

"E-Elaborate..."

The champion explains the general gist of things as he's met him, Silver, his kid-by-odd-circumstance, was homeless for a while, but was training alongside some other up and coming trainers. Uncovering some Rocket related files, he learns he's the son of the boss of the entire organization, and after some on and off meetings he eventually got him a place to stay at the Dragon's Den, and soon after began living with him at his place when he warmed up to the idea of adoption.

There are times he gets overwhelmed with all that he's been through, and some nights its all too much. But Lance was there with him, stayed with him every step of the way, unlike the one who gave him that abandonment anxiety in the first place.

"He's my kid, not by blood, and maybe not by his family, either. But instead, by his own decision he chose to stay with me. I'd want him to keep the freedom he has now." Lance states, firmly. "And now he's grown up as strong as I believed he could. I'm proud of him, as much as he tends to deny that." Riley senses his draconic aura swell with pride, mixed with a humbling sincerity in his words.

"What about you? Any kids of your own?" the sudden flip of the question surprises the guardian briefly.

"N-Nothing adoptive but…I suppose it's similar, in a way to meeting them as you have."

The guardian's turn, now. Dawn was someone he met when he was training on Iron Island, and also served as a guide to get her through the caverns. When he felt something off in the aura surrounding the area, he eventually learned of Galactic causing the pokemon on the island to feel restless and agitated. With her, they were able to clear the island of their antics and even gifted her a Riolu egg on her journey. From there, he was impressed with how strong she was, and did hear from Cynthia that she raised his present up to evolving her into a Lucario. He couldn't have been happier.

That was the case, until he caught the aftermath of the events of Mt. Coronet.

What Cyrus did, the lengths he'd go to, and dragging the both of them into a mess that could have torn the world apart.

After that, Dawn stayed home for a while. Cynthia put him as a contact for her mom, who was really worried for her. With his aura and her friends, Lucas and Barry, they were a big help for her recovery. And eventually, after a lot of time and work, she became the region's champion. She messages every now and then to him, as processing any trauma is never an easy road, but he realized how lucky she was to have the people she'd met to keep her steady, and knew she'll be alright.

"I...still wish I could've done more for her," Riley says, quieter. "Cynthia told me about what happened in that other world, and it...it was a lot for Dawn, a lot of emotions to help her figure out." he finishes, sheepish.

"…I don't blame you for feeling that way, I wouldn't know what to do in a scenario like that, either." the champion says, unsure too.

"It's amazing, in a way. All these kids going through so much on their own. I'd be proud were it not so scary, realizing how young they are to go through what they have been through."

"There's only so much you really can do, as an adult. I've realized that fact a long time ago." Lance's aura felt oddly melancholic, as bright and pretty as it may appear. "It's either immediate or slow when things change for them, and sometimes you'll have to make a choice on the spot when the time comes for them to decide what they want to do." It sounds like he’s speaking from experience, but the melancholy makes it appear that he's had some regrets.

“I trust in them to find their own path, eventually. When they’re together, those kids are gonna be alright on their own.”

His reassurance helped, even if only by a small amount.

I need to talk about Jacob to distract me from my awful awful sunburn (yes hispanic people burn too and YES I even used sunscreen 😭) but I've been throwing around some ideas with my partner anddd my s/i is a selkie as some of u may know, and I was thinking a little about her backstory

I think selkies in this universe can go between human, half human/half seal, and full seal mode and usually in the deep sea at night selkie families will be sleeping seal mode. Unfortunately they ARE also indistinguishable from regular seals, and that means they can be preyed on by other animals 🥲 I think when she was a young child, maybe 10 so the same age that Jacob was when he was shipwrecked, her pod was attacked by a hungry sea beast and she was the only one to get away, washing up on the shore of Mukesh island in half human form and being taken in by Gwen Batterbie (scary witch lady)

Now, it wasn't out of the goodness of her heart of course. She needs an extra pair of hands now and then, and a child with nowhere to go, who is indebted to her, having taken the child in, who ALSO happens to be a selkie will do just fine. She takes her seal coat and hides it, stating that she'll be working to repay her for saving her from then on. And that's where she stays and grows up, assisting and by proxy picking up some tricks of witchcraft that she'll keep with her, until the day of course...she meets Jacob. A handsome stranger, around her age (both about 20) and the course of her life forever changes

Talked to my therapist about Neuvi and for being her first appointment of the day she took me walking her through not only Fischl & Oz = Furina & Neuvillette extremely well but also the realisation that my trauma with my dad is the reason why I not only have a daddy kink but also enjoy Neuvillette and Zhongli as much as I do 💀 she said that as long as it doesn’t get in the way of my irl relationships and isn’t hurting anyone then she’s fully in support!! I told her about Neuvi and I’s anniversary being recently and she thought it was really cute I kept a reminder for it and congrats on over a year together 🥺🥺

but yes, finally my first jjba fic proper. i've been wanting to write one for while. fun fact, this fic was tied between bucciarati and mista for the romantic lead but i ended up going with the former because mista seemed like a character i'd write for the most and i wanted to experiment outside who i'd typically write for

it's still mostly in the bare bones outlining stage though and i'm still detailing what will be completely included in this story

for now, i'm planning to do some research on naples to really get the atmosphere right

faerie au pt 2

a sequel to this oneshot and the fic that has the most likely chance of being posted first, but inspiration might really come in for a different fic and it could be posted second

i really wanted make a continuation of the prequel after all the tension it ends off on and delving more into the faerie/court politics that were touched upon

i also want to have a section on gojo's pov that i think will be in the introduction

body horror au

now this fic is going to be a hefty big boy. it's presently ~4k+ words but i'm still not halfway done with it yet. this is a wip i've been working on since last year and the only one i have that is still being written in google docs because i am actually working on something special as a fun little bonus and the formatting i want to achieve can't be done with present state ellipsus. but i'm looking so forward to you guys seeing it once it's done and out in the world

i've thought about saving it for kinktober since this is my first real chilling work, but i'm not sure i'll be able to last that long... we'll see though, we will definitely see

this is also my first time trying my hand out at writing anything horror related, so it's definitely a challenge in that regard. it's really focusing more on the thriller aspects than it is the body horror but it will still be there; things will be tagged accordingly once it's up and ready to be shared so definitely mind them, it will be 18+

once i get at least 2/3 posted (which i put 2 because the body horror fic is going to be so damn long that idk when it will be finished), i'll probably tackle two other one piece wips i have one of which is already in progress

one is for sabo and the other is for that hot ass marine from fan letter. the older brother with the brown hair. smh he just had to be a marine but i gotta get it out my system jndjnfkjnf. he at least gets ONE fic from me. it'll honestly probably only ever be the one, but who cares. he deserves it. and yes, i will be giving him a name for the fic bc idk if i can write a whole oneshot with him being nameless

the sabo fic is going to definitely be funny. to me. it's definitely going to be funny to me jfdnkjfsn at least, one part in particular. that fic is going to have a workplace annoyances to lovers thing going on, which is definitely different from my usual fair. most things i write have friends to lovers in it or the reader and character are already on good terms even if they aren't friends

i think i only have one fic (csm) where they're initially indifferent to each other if not occasionally annoyed to start. y'all know what tropes i like by now lmao

anyways- spring break is coming up soon, so that'll hopefully give me plenty of time to write to my heart's content. we'll see what gets posted during that time
