An annoyed huff escaped Terios’ pursed lips as he thumped his tail on the ground. Terios was deep in thought; cataloging his emotions and feelings in terms of importance. He would be lying to himself if he didn’t admit to feeling a bit overwhelmed. He was still processing everything. If only he had Blue’s guidance. They were very insightful in these types of situations and generous in providing direction.

His eyes shifted to the two capsas on the ground. The parchment scrolls nestled inside left detailed instructions on what to do. Hundreds of years worth of instructions were left behind, delicately penned by the hand that trusted him the most. It would take an extensive amount of time and energy to preserve the Chaos Crystals from potential harm. All of that work for a single individual and his rock companion to have on their shoulders. Well, only one of them had shoulders. The other was just a head.

The subtle, but bittersweet noises of nature would take some time to get used to… unlike the first time he waded into this terrane. That was a cultural shock that he had not experienced before. The ebony hedgehog released his breath as he glanced down to his single-headed golem friend. The rock waddled side-to-side, chirping a song to himself as he felt the sun’s rays warm him up. Terios shook his head with a half-hearted chuckle. OMEGA always seemed to find a positive out of a negative situation.

“They would know what to do in a situation like this,” he muttered to himself. “Come, OMEGA. Let’s get this over with.”

“You get used to it,” Terios smirks. By now, being shorter than pretty much everyone is just normal for him.

“Did any of your friends come with you to Earth?” Maria asks.

“Well . . . one did,” Jules says with a nervous smile.

“Who?” Terios asks.

“It’s . . . this girl . . .” Jules is blushing madly.

“Oooo?” Maria says, leaning forward. “What’s her name?”

“Bernadette,” Jules sighs happily. “She likes me to call her Bernie though.”

SEGA has officially unveiled new details about the upcoming Sonic Generations remaster and companion title, Sonic x Shadow Generations, during the Summer Game Fest presentation Friday evening.

Fans were treated to an exhilarating new trailer that showcases Sonic and Shadow’s high-octane adventures with modernized visuals and new levels, like Rail Canyon and Kingdom Valley.

Does Shadow have any qualities alike to the Black Arms race or Black Doom himself?

I'm... actually really glad you asked. I've been meaning to add more to his details on my carrd, as well as make a whole post of edits & such on this subject. The most notable changes in my Shadow, which isn't as unique as one might thing, is that he has Black Doom's eyes. Same color, same creepy & unsettling slits for pupils, even his red markings are a bit more wild vs. how you see them in official Sonic media. Along with this, he's got more of a serpent like tongue, as I personally associate reptiles with the Black Arms race... & I pull inspiration from that with the Biolizard. Since that is very clearly a reptilian creature, also made from Black Arms DNA, & the name is literally Lizard. It was also created as a prototype to Shadow. So, I feel it's only natural that he kept certain qualities from his past creations.

I'd like to add, despite his eyes being identical to Doom's, Shadow does have a scarred left eye. I take this from his original concept model, Terios, before he was Shadow. While i'd love to edit that into my icons, I am far too lazy to do that.

He's so beautiful, honestly. Love him.

An update of my Shadow the Hedgehog inspired fantroll !!! Design explaination below the cut :3

Name: Terios Chaeos -> Terios was actually the original name given to Shadow during his development !! (Source for this is the Sonic fandom wikia) It was six letters long so I had to pick that to be his name. Chumhandle: tormentedGenesis -> Genesis: "The orgin or mode of formation of something", in his character context, he is a artificial troll (not like ectobiology, something else that I haven't taken the time to think about LOL) and the first of his kind. Maybe like a troll/guardian hybrid? This is also a reference to how Shadow in Sonic is a hybrid and the first of his kind. -> Tormented: He's like Shadow, an edgelord with a tormented past. Pretty self explainatory Text color: Deep Red/ Rust (He's a Rust Blooded Troll ) -> He's rust blooded but has a longer life expectancy than normal trolls due to his hybrid nature. Age/Sweeps: 24 / 11 Species: Troll Guardian Hybrid Classpect: Witch of Time -> Manipulates Time - based off of game Shadow's time shenanigans in his game. Planet: The Land of Emeralds and Distortion -> Chaos emerald joke here. Distortion is based off of chaos control. Kingdom: Derse Symbol: The one from the game LMAO

My lore explaination of him (from what I've lightly thought of): You know how due to Guardian shenanigans ICP is because of troll juggalos? Same sort of thing here. Terios's whole life story was made into the Earth character Shadow the Hedgehog. They're similar in many ways, but Shadow is like a Flanderization of Terios. At first, he finds Shadow really offputting and disturbing to look at, but as time goes on he becomes insanely fond of the character. I still don't know a lot about this character I've been making, I've been designing him between my classes and now that I'm finally out of college I'm gonna start thinking about him a little more. I'm growing really fond of him lol

Scarlet red eyes peered outward from the shadows to study the situation of the weather. Rain. That was all it seemed to do in the East Forest these past few days. Rain seemed to be sporadic since the war a month ago, but they more common than usual. Cleansing was in order. For the past week, rain showers drenched the forest and made it hard to travel. Enough rain had fallen to cover Terios’ ankles and made it hard to tread through… especially with the occasional tree root that popped from the ground and tripped him. As a result of the showers, the Titan and golem sought shelter in the decaying ruins of a building. Thankfully the stone walls of the supposed building had crumbled on top of one another to form a roof.

Don’t think about it, he thought to himself with a tightness in his chest, it’s safe. It’s not the same rain. Just go!

A single paw reached out to touch the rain once more, flinching in reaction when the rain was safe and cool to the touch. As much as he loathed rain, colder showers were viewed just as awful. If the ebony hedgehog and his rock friend were to make it to the temple on the other side of the forest in time, then they needed to move.

“THIS-WEATHER-IS-HORRIBLE.” A monotonous voice was the first to speak from the painful silence.

“I know.”

“IT-WOULD-BE-HARD-TO-ROLL-THROUGH-THE-TERRANE.”

“I am aware, OMEGA.”

Another reason to not travel thought the rain: mobility would be too much of a hassle for OMEGA. His traveling companion had learned how to somersault across the field at various speeds the further they’ve ventured out. Terios didn’t complain, traveling was smoother without having to tuck the rock under his arm. There were other things the preoccupied Terios’ mind other than worry about OMEGA. If he was tasked to get the Chaos Crystal to the shrine, then he would do so from Blue’s wishes. As long as the journey went smoothly to each of the eight temples, then he could secure them in a safe location. The planet was out of balance, who knew what other forces out there would be looking for them… especially in its vulnerable state. As long as the Chaos Crystals stayed within Terios’ care (nestled in his messager bag), then there was not much to worry about.

“OUR-JOURNEY-TO-THE-EAST-FOREST-TEMPLE-WOULD-GO-QUICKER-IF-YOU-DONNED-YOUR-HOVER—“

“They’re at the ruins,” Terios grumbled to himself. “Those are to be used as a different time.”

The rock shifted awkwardly back and forth and hummed to himself in response. For a golem that was designed to assist warriors in sparring sessions, the golem was quite comfortable to be around with his soothing song. No one could deny that. The rain appeared to continue without a clear sign of stopping. It would be best to set up camp for the time being and wait it out for lighter rain. Besides, taking a moment to rest and eating a quick snack seemed like a pleasant idea to him the more he thought about it.

Terios released his breath and turned on his heel. “We’ll stop here for now. I’ll start a fi—“

“WHOA!”

Terios whipped his head and bared his fangs as he witnessed his companion roll down the incline of the ruin’s opening. Squeals of excitement came from the rock head as he rolled down the path quickly. Without hesitation, Terios retreated to collect his things. His bag was flung over his shoulder and his fingers dug into the neck of the staff as he lunged for it. It was better to be safe than be sorry for leaving the items in the open. Terios held in his breath has he bolted outward from the shelter, flinching only once from the cold rain coming in contact with his fur.

It is safe rain, kept moving!

Terios shook the droplets of rain from his head and continued to run. The amount of effort that was made to wipe the rain clear from Terios’ vision proved little support. The hedgehog stopped at the bottom of the hill and twitched his ears in every direction. The best that he could do was rely on sound and hoped that OMEGA was still amused from the little adventure. Ears angrily flicked back and forth to locate his lost friend in the horrid rain. It wasn’t until Terios had made his way to the bottom of the hill that he had heard a faint voice a few feet away.

“PICK-ME-UP!”

The ebony hedgehog broke into a light jog as he made his way to his comrade. When he had located OMEGA, Terios found him turned upside down and propped up along the side of a limestone marker propped up against the base of a tree.

“HOW-DARE-YOU! YOU-KICKED-ME!” The rock head screamed through the violent rain.

If looks could kill, Terios would be dead in an instant.

“It was done by accident!”

“I-AM-PRECIOUS-CARGO! YOU-DO-NOT-KICK-PRECIOUS-CARGO!”

The hedgehog shook his head with a sigh and knelt down to pick him up, but paused as soon as he was blinded by a shimmering light. Rather than listening to OMEGA’s bickering, Terios occupied himself with the stone’s peculiar markings in front of him. Hands quickly reached up to the marker to clear the growing flora on it. Terios could feel his heartbeat in his ears the more he cleared the shrubbery away. Through the moss he could make out a word: “Honor.” Hands continued to rip the plants off the front of the limestone to reveal not only a few words, but a message. Glowing cyan glyphs were chiseled into the limestone’s smooth front as ferns were pushed aside. As the shrine was cleared, Terios lowered his hands to read the glyphs with a frown and lowered eyes.

“To honor the lost souls that were taken during the Great Sacrifice:

Aero

Rosé

Strength

Blue

May the Titan guide their spirits to the light.”

It took Terios a minute to realize that he held his breath through the whole process. Releasing his shaken breath made him realize how much his body ached from exhaustion. As much as the Titan wished to remain strong in the subject, he found it harder and harder to keep his feeling in check. Emotional fatigue was visible in his eyes and quite present in his heart. Terios adjusted the strap of his satchel on his chest and gripped the staff to yank from the ground. He had had enough. Terios picked up the rock head from the ground and tucked him close to his person as he hiked back up the hill.

“It’s time to leave,” he croaked.

"I-DETECT-SADNESS-IN-YOUR-VOICE, TERIOS. ARE-YOU-SAD?"

"No."

"I-SUGGEST-WE-TALK-ABOUT-OUR-FEELINGS."

"No, thank you."

"I-WILL-GO-FIRST. I-FEEL-ENRAGED-BECAUSE-I-DO-NOT-HAVE-A-BODY."

“I know, OMEGA.”

It was going to be a long night.

shadow literally survives the end of the world thanks to his chaos connection and then has the blame of the world ending on his shoulders because gun HATES him and alters the narrative and eventually there’s an attempt by omega to force him into cryosleep. shadow is betrayed by one of his friends and his forced to watch all the others die while he hides from an entity that wishes him dead. too many people end up dead and the real reason why the world ended remains a mystery but there’s enough rumors that survived about his involvement to have shadow decide to shed his name and adopt a new identity. there’s too much shame and hurt associated with shadow. maybe he can do better as terios.

he meets a hedgehog named Venice, and he already knows this kid’s future by the end of their first conversation. terios knows he’s going to send this kid on a maddening journey through time and space to correct his old sins. that silver might not even fix it. maybe he’ll make it worse.

but he’s seen the future and the past and figures there’s not much left to lose and he tells silver a secret that sends silver crashing through time and space to right every wrong that’s been done. to save his future.

it’s filled with trials and tribulations and hell fire and devastation.

but silver succeeds.

and terios can finally rest in peace.

For Sonic movie 3, honestly I would be interested in a new twist on Maria's story. The girl pratically has AIDS, maybe they recover the scrapped concept from Sonic and Longclaw past and use it for Shadow's story.

The ARK gets attacked but both Shadow and Maria escape and hide in a cave. Unfortunately, unlike Ark, Earth is full of viruses so soon Maria gets sick due to her inexistent immunoglobulins. Shadow takes care of Maria, maybe stealing stuffs and medicines without letting Maria knowing. But AIDS is cruel, she get sicker and sicker. Maria implore Shadow to seek help. Unlike her, Shadow doesn't trust people because of Ark, but gives a try. And he gets betrayed, captured and put in cryostasis, so Maria loses the only chance to be saved.

Maybe later humans find Maria and attemt to cure her with what they know but of course she ends to die anyway.

This would make Shadow feel more like an indipendent person with his own mind and less like a puppet of somebody else. Early Shadow seemed insecure behind his conceited mask, he semed to try to seek the approvation of his dead sister, for long he questioned his existence, even wondering if he was a person. Insisting to underline his being 'Shadow' and 'the ultimate lifeform' , holding his name dear, was like reinforced his identity, his personhood, for himself.

In Shadow the Hedgehog videogame in one of the endings he kills himself after realizing he was just a tool. We must also remember that early Shadow (Terios) was powerful but not so capable to control his power, in fact he struggled with the super transformation. For this he almost dies.

Although personally, I think Shadow can't die. If something happens (example drowning), he goes unconscious and hibernates until somebody will rescue and resurrects him. The more is the damage, the longer is the time he will be healthy again.

I’m not sure who Terios is, but I like the way that you draw SCU Shadow. The backspines matching his quills going up really empathizes the point that one of his dads was canonically a an evil star fish. I say keep it!😊

Hough. Tough one right off the bat. Hurgh. I suppose Team Sonic? Sonic, Tails, Knuckles. Amy, when she’s around. I tend to focus a lot of my writing around them, haha. I also really like Silver and Blaze :)

✍️ Favorite fanfiction?

Ouoigugh okay so I don’t think I can pin down a definite favourite, because I love too many, but, if I had to pick one I’m particularly fond of it would be. And this is where I would put that fic except I’ve been looking for like half an hour and I cannot find it. I thought for sure I would have bookmarked it, but apparently I didn’t??? And I can’t remember what it was called/who wrote it either auaauuagh

I do remember how it goes, though— it follows Shadow as he digs into Sonic’s past post-generations— during the party, Shadow noticed some scarring on classic Sonic’s neck, and asks Sonic about it. Sonic says one of Eggman’s robots got him in the neck when he was younger, but it healed. Shadow is intrigued by this, and then the fic goes into Shadow going around and asking people how old Sonic is/how old he turned at his birthday, for which the answers are usually 15, and ….1…5…??? He talks to Knuckles, who says some stuff about how Sonic’s chaos energy is great enough that you could reduce him to atoms and he’d still be able to heal.

I’m pretty sure it ends up with Shadow going all the way up to Eggman, who gives him some answers he doesn’t really like. It’s suggested that maybe Sonic was the original Terios, and the last line was something like…. (Is Sonic the reason Maria’s favourite colour was blue?)
