doctor confirmed that 👉 this guy 👈 got pcos and i just got an implant to at the very least get my whacky periods under control and hopefully get them to stop entirely
#i also have thought about how i was cared for today#i go to a free place that has rotating doctors so i didnt see the same one that told me to get a ultrasound of my ovaries + blood test#previous one was a cis woman and she insisted me having multiple cysts on my ovary (that was double in size to the other one) wasnt enough#(for a pcos diagnosis) so she insisted i redo my blood test on the 2nd day of my period#which i didnt realise at the time is dumb as hell cause my periods are so chaotic im not even sure when they start and when they stop#the doc i saw today was a trans doctor (using iel in french! love to see it) and after i explained my situation was like#well theres no point to check your hormones here since we dont have a point of reference#and your ultrasound shows you have multiple cysts in your ovary so thats pcos#then explained to me what that does to your body & all that its not dangerous per say but its good to monitor and take hormones to help#and i said i was already considering the implant to stop my periods and they said that can be arranged today#told me the other alternatives and the risks associated with the implant but tbh my choice was already made#i mean of course idk how much cisness and transness has anything to do with this#but i had seen another cis doctor about my periods being whack when they started being whack#and he did an ultrasound saw nothing and was like “well nothing wrong with you” and that was the end of it#i definitely felt more comfortable and better cared for in the hands of a peer#(also i had to try three pharmacy to get the implant cause the other ones were out of it#walked way more today than planned but good day regardless!)

The most fucked up thing abt pmdd at least for me is you can like. Feel the brain terrors Lift as soon as you start your period. Like I'd be in the trenches thinking I'll never feel happy again and then I start bleeding and it's like the grey clouds dissipate and I was like oh I'm normal now
#s.txt#IT FREAKED ME OUT EVERY TIME I EXPERIENCED IT#like just the degree to which hormones could alter my feelings and personality and life and then be gone like that 😭#extra funny that im goijg to be getting tested for pcos at some point#my ovaries and hormones said Fuck You#like i did still have depression and mental illness even after my period started but pmdd dials it up to 1000

Haven’t had a period in 1.5 years and I just got it back this sucks.
#my doctors are extremely dismissive and wouldn’t even run more tests#but said it’s maybe just a hormonal imbalance?? you think ?!#they legit just dismiss anything regarding woman’s health#I’m kinda afraid to be diagnosed with anything bc there’s no cure for any of this stuff - pcos endo anything I suspect already#I got it back briefly then it went away#idk I really messed up my hormones with my ED#my labs and ultrasound are supposedly normal#I know I should be concerned but I genuinely love not having periods with no bc

Bro idk man I’m not a medical professional but the first thing a doctor or nurse says to you when they see you for the first time in a while shouldn’t be “you lost weight!”
Okay great I wasn’t trying to. I literally am just trying to deal with my chronic conditions and I’m actually hungry a lot but between my Zoloft killing my appetite and my various digestive problems I usually don’t want to eat until I’m starving and sometimes that’s late at night and I know if I eat that late I’ll get reflux so I just use a heating pad until I fall asleep.
But like sure, man. Good for me I guess.
#🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃🙃#body talk#idk why they care so fucking much#I had all the fucking tests done last year#and guess what#I’m normal#my blood tests are normal#my scans are normal#that being said#yes I do have gastroparesis and PCOS and HS and chronic headaches#frankly my immune system and my hormones hate me#but in theory I’m not in dire condition like losing weight isn’t going to do shit

I don't think transphobes really realize that 'gender exploratory therapy' is a. what like 90% of therapists (which are mandatory to see for hormones and surgery in florida) in conservative areas try to do you anyway, even the most accepting ones with a trans grandson or whatever and b. what every layman and their dog try to do to you if you share any details of past trauma with them and are also trans. like i don't actually need to pay somebody to tell me their theories that my Pathological Penis Envy or PCOS or having a shitty dad or being fat or gay or whatever else they've determined makes you incapable of being a True Natural Normal Woman (but you still need to be forced to try) is the real true reason i'm transgender and have i tried embracing my natural femininity. like i'm okay actually. Whatever you think the real true reason is i promise i've heard it, and also i'm intersex so like, step one of disrupting the natural order is already pretty irreversible.
#The fear mongering is just always so silly cos I've been in therapy since age 13 (and some at like 9 that didn't go well)#And I have to get hormone testing done even more often than the average trans person bc of my PCOS#Which fwiw is far more often than any cis person has to get done unless they are for example diabetic#Like. I promise the monitoring and gatekeeping and checking if I'm really truly sure is being done. I prommy

🌀6th Lord in Houses - Enemies, Health, Daily Life, and Inner Battles 🌀
Note: These are all my personal observations and patterns I've noticed over the years. Take what resonates with you more and leave the rest. Lemme know in the comments if it hits home!
There are general interpretations. The signs on the house can make things different. Look at your Vedic chart!
6th lord in 1st - You're used to being underestimated and so you overperform. Your daily life is in survival mode by default. You're always fixing things, not just your own, but others' messes too. You care too much, even for people who don’t deserve it. Can have a "resting face". Might run on caffeine. Migraines, weak immunity, nail biting, or neck pain can be seen here. Your worst enemy is...yourself.
6th lord in 2nd - Feeling of never having enough. Attract "users", not partners. Either a stingy or a spendthrift. No in-between. Throat surgery, in some cases. You pretend you don’t care about status, but lowkey feel like a failure when you’re not “ahead.” Jaw tension. Messy relationship with food. People either depend on you too much or disappear when you need support. Stays loyal to family members even though they're not good for you and just sucks it up. You give advice to people but might not follow it yourself. Dental issues, blood sugar irregularities, PCOS, metabolic disorders, food allergies, binge eating, or anorexia can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is comfort that becomes a cage.
6th lord in 3rd - You’ve had full-blown arguments in your head that never happened IRL. Enemies = frenemies. Especially the ones who “joke” too much. Arguments with your sibling, if you had one. Dehydration. Nervous disorders, in some cases. Might keep a journal or vent everything into a Notes app or to any unfortunate soul that happened to be there at the time. You might try to do 5 things at once and feel ashamed of not finishing any. People can gaslight you. You want to be heard but hate attention, like explain that lol. You might dream of moving away from your hometown, starting afresh, or ghosting your friendship(s) forever. ADHD, hand/wrist pain, insomnia, neck/shoulder pain from poor posture, or breathing issues can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is the loud voice that sounds like yours but isn’t.
6th lord in 4th - You grew up learning to stay quiet. Might even walk quietly. You might have had strict or helicopter parents, in some cases. Home isn't a safe place. You crave comfort but don’t know what it really feels like. Might say "sorry" a lot. Love feels like walking on eggshells, because that’s what it’s always been. You try to fix your family by being the “good one,” even when it’s killing you. You second-guess your feelings because they were dismissed growing up. Ulcers, gastritis, acid reflux, menstrual cramps, belly, asthma, and hormonal imbalances can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is emotional guilt disguised as family loyalty.
6th lord in 5th - You give your heart to people who treat you like a "score". Fun feels like something you have to “earn.” When you are happy, you just know that it's gonna be taken away from you soon, or you know that it's temporary. You lowkey want someone to fight for you, not with you. You learned early that attention had conditions. Be impressive, be useful, be entertaining, or be invisible. You fall in love with people who feel broken, because fixing them feels safer than being truly seen. Irregular periods, fertility concerns, hormonal swings, risk of heart palpitations or minor arrhythmias, bloating, or digestive issues can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is drama you confuse for passion.
6th lord in 6th - You don't avoid problems, you solve them in silence. You’re the person everyone depends on, but no one checks in with. OCD in some cases. You attract situations that test your patience, boundaries, and sanity daily. You hate asking people for help. You attract jealous coworkers, messy “friends,” and one-sided relationships. You might feel responsible for everything, even things that aren’t yours to carry. Long-term health conditions, autoimmune disorders, inflammatory disorders, constipation, lower back pain or knee pain can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is... the belief that struggle equals virtue.
6th lord in 7th - You are loyal to the wrong people or stay too long with the wrong partner. You attract partners with baggage, and they leave you carrying it. You're afraid that if you set boundaries, they'll leave. Your depression, anxiety, and health issues would skyrocket when you're in a bad relationship. Your BODY KNOWS! You might fix others' lives while yours fall apart. Enemies to lovers, and after the breakup, it's lovers to enemies. If things are calm, you assume something’s off. You sometimes end up in legal conflicts, debt, or moral dilemmas because of a partner's decisions. Skin issues like eczema, rashes, acne or UTI, yeast infections, food poisoning, nausea, blood pressure swings during fights, clinical depression after a breakup or a divorce from their loved one can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is... the person you love/trust the most.
6th lord in 8th - You’ve survived things you don’t talk about, and most people wouldn’t understand anyway. For example: emotional or sexual abuse, dangerous situations, a rare disease, or a complex surgery, etc. Your enemies don’t announce themselves, they hide in family, in lovers, in you. You're the black sheep, the scapegoat, or the cycle-breaker in your family. You learn through loss. Each time something is ripped from you, a new version of you is born. You’ve experienced spiritual or psychic awakenings that were triggered by crisis, not choice. Sex can terrify you, in some cases. Might completely refrain from doing so. PCOS, endometriosis, hormonal dysfunction, bowel issues, sleep issues, nightmares, sleep paralysis, pelvic pain, STDs can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is silence that hides the truth.
6th lord in 9th - You didn’t just lose faith. It got torn from your hands by people you trusted. Your mentors, gurus, or teachers might have disappointed you or could have been harsh, and it cut deeper than betrayal. You’ve questioned your entire worldview after one painful experience. You want to believe in justice, karma, truth…but the reality you’ve lived makes that hard. Travel may bring conflict regarding visa issues or financial setbacks. You might have been punished for asking too many questions. Racism, in some cases. Enemies can come in the form of know-it-alls, fake spiritual leaders, or moral superiority complexes. Liver/kidney issues, vitamin/ protein deficiency, nervous disorders, leg accidents/surgery, can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is blind faith in broken systems.
6th lord in 10th - Bosses either love your work ethic or exploit it. Usually both. You attract jealous coworkers, fake allies, and silent competition. Career setbacks feel personal. You hold everything together until one tiny thing breaks you. You're scared to be seen struggling, so you smile harder. You've had to work twice as hard to earn half the recognition. Can develop an "impostor syndrome" in some cases. Sleep deprivation, dark under eyes, headaches/ migraines, upper body weakness, high blood pressure can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is your boss/co-worker.
6th lord in 11th - You’ve felt loneliest while surrounded by people. You're everyone's emergency contact, but no one’s first thought when they’re celebrating. Your biggest haters sometimes came disguised as your biggest fans or supporters. You carry guilt for outgrowing people who aren’t growing with you. Collaborations often turn into one-sided labor for you. Allergies, autoimmune disorders, rare syndromes, weak eyesight, mental health issues can be seen here in some cases. Can attract clout-chasers, energy vampires disguised as friends in your circle. Your worst enemy is the friend who envies you but smiles anyway.
6th lord in 12th - You’re always tired, but you don’t even know why anymore. You wake up drained, go to sleep anxious, and live in a body that feels like it’s carrying something ancient. Your enemies don’t announce themselves, but they whisper, sabotage, and fade out. Sleep issues. You carry shame from things you didn’t choose, didn’t cause, but still feel responsible for. You escape when it gets too much through fantasy, oversleeping, alcohol/drugs, doomscrolling, or even disappearing from your own life. I mean, you’re so used to emotional isolation that real connection feels foreign. Hates loud noises and crowds. Can have psychic dreams that show you the truth about people who hide things from you. Sleep paralysis or nightmares, mysterious illness, poor gut health, hypersensitivity to medication, noise, light or psychological issues can be seen here in some cases. Your worst enemy is... the pain you won’t/can't name.

Currently reading medical literature about intersex variations like luteinizing hormone insensitivity that are supposedly extremely rare but can result in symptoms that look exactly like PCOS (including irregular menstruation & multicystic ovaries) and just. 👀 sitting here being like. really? You think this is a one-in-a-million variation? 👀
Like I really do wonder. If people with PCOS symptoms/diagnoses were given routinely access to genetic testing, how many would wind up positive for NCAH, 5-ARD, partial LH insensitivity, FSH insensitivity, partial isolated 17,20-lyase deficiency, or whatever other "it's too rare to be worth testing for" variations that physicians never actually look for and thus never actually find 🙃

junie! sitting in the pre-op room and wondering what osc would be like with reader during pre-op. like vitals, getting the iv, them forcing her to go pee for a pregnancy test, getting in the gown, etc
-🧸
one breath at a time

Oscar Piastri x PCOS!reader
summary: reader goes in for a d&c, only to discover more.
warnings: medical setting, pre-op anxiety, unexpected pregnancy, bleeding, fertility themes
A/N: HIIIII i saw the pregnancy test thing and thought a little plot twist would be fun but i get if this is not what u were expecting SORRY 😭😭 i think i’ve been taking too much liberty with some requests, but this idea was too good to pass up. idek if this pregnancy even makes since vut ENJOY. I LOVE U. praying for u and praying the surgery goes well. i’m proud of u. ❤️
⚘ ⚘ ⚘ ⚘
you’ve barely slept.
it’s not even light out yet when oscar pulls into the hospital’s underground lot, the sky still a cold steel gray. your fingers are twisted in the sleeves of your hoodie, mouth dry, heart racing under the weight of the unknown.
you’re supposed to be here for a d&c.
they couldn’t figure out why you were still bleeding, why the pain wouldn’t let up. scans weren’t clear. could be a cyst, could be leftover tissue, could be anything. the only way to really know is going in.
and now you’re here. gown, anesthesia, paperwork, the works.
oscar parks close to the lift and shuts the engine off, but he doesn’t move to get out.
instead, he turns to you. both hands reach over to hold yours, grounding and steady and warm.
“you okay?” he asks gently, voice still hoarse from sleep.
you stare ahead. “not really.”
he leans in and kisses your cheek, then your forehead, then presses his mouth just below your eye. “we’re doing this together, yeah?”
“yeah,” you whisper.
the nurse is kind, which helps.
she walks you back to the pre-op area, hands you a gown, points to the little cubicle with the curtain. oscar’s allowed to come back once you’re changed and vitals are taken.
you move slowly—partly because you’re sore and partly because you’re scared.
hospital gowns are always too big. you tie the back shut and glance at yourself in the mirror for a second before looking away.
you look tired. pale. bloated from the hormones.
you don’t feel like yourself.
the nurse is waiting when you step out, smiling. she clips a monitor to your finger, slides the cuff onto your arm. “you doing okay, sweetheart?”
“yeah,” you lie.
she doesn’t push.
“we just need to get a quick urine sample before anesthesia,” she says. “pregnancy test—standard protocol.”
you nod, already moving to the bathroom. it’s routine. you know it’s routine.
you haven’t even had sex since the bleeding started. there’s no way.
right?
the test takes ten minutes to come back.
by then, you’re already lying back on the hospital bed, IV inserted, oscar seated at your side. he’s holding your hand, tracing patterns over the inside of your wrist.
you try to pretend your chest isn’t tightening. you try to pretend this doesn’t feel like more than routine.
but when the nurse returns, her smile is tight. professional.
she walks in holding a chart and sets it at the end of your bed. “so… we’re going to delay the procedure, actually.”
your heart stumbles. “what? why?”
she glances at oscar, then at you. “your pregnancy test came back positive.”
silence.
you blink. “what?”
“it was faint, so we ran it again. and then again, with a blood test. it’s early, but it’s definitely there.”
you feel everything slow down.
your fingers go numb.
you look at oscar. he’s staring at the nurse like she just said the sky is green.
“but—” your voice catches. “we thought—i thought it was just—”
“you’ve been bleeding,” she says gently. “and we don’t know what that means yet. but you are pregnant.”
your breath shakes.
oscar squeezes your hand. “hey, hey—look at me.”
you do. your eyes sting.
“we’re okay,” he says, low and steady. “you’re okay. we’ll figure it out. one step at a time.”
“what if it’s ectopic? or not viable? what if—”
“one step,” he says again. “we’re not doing what-ifs. we’re just breathing. we’re just here.”
the nurse steps out to give you a minute.
you turn your face into oscar’s shoulder and let yourself fall apart for a second—because the fear is choking and the shock is worse, and your body hurts and your brain hurts and you don’t know how to process any of this.
but oscar holds you. strokes your back. tells you it’s going to be okay even when he’s scared, too.
hours pass.
you get sent to a different wing. a different doctor consults. scans are ordered.
it’s early, they say. they can’t make any promises. but something’s there. maybe more than you thought. maybe not what you feared.
oscar never lets go of your hand.
he cancels everything for the next two days. turns off his phone. gets you water. tucks your hoodie around your legs when you shiver. climbs into the hospital bed behind you when your back starts to ache again, wrapping around you like armour.
you don’t talk much. there isn’t much to say yet.
but he holds you all the way through it. and when they finally let you go home to rest, he carries your bag and drives you slow and gentle, one hand on your thigh the entire ride.
you’re not okay. not yet.
but you’re not alone.
and somehow, in this swirl of fear and confusion, that makes all the difference.
THE END :>
