Shen Yuan is two things:

1) chronically ill

2) rich rich

He couldn’t count on both hands the number of health scares he’s had, but he fought years to move out of his parents house and live independently!

…. Until he was found half dead by his sister and nearly died in the hospital. No one even knew until she showed up.

The smart thing- the thing his parents want- would be to sell his apartment and move back in so his family can watch him. But frankly, Shen Yuan was reaching the end of his 20s. He didn’t want to be 30 in his parents home being scolded for buying yet another anime figurine and fussed over all hours of the day by nannies.

So, like the adults they were, they compromised. Shen Yuan could live independently IF he put together a complete staff of live in specialists to help him. He had a few months to do so, and all had to be thoroughly background checked.

Which is how he ended up with an old estate filled with specialists who all bore striking resemblances to the cast of Proud Immortal Demon Way.

(SY endears himself over the course of months to the entire modern cast of svsss and collects them to live with him and be generously financially supported. Additionally he finally tracks down the hack author of PIDW and keeps him as well, taking away the financial strain so PIDW can achieve its true potential as art.)

YESSSSS my Halloween order from @waywardstation came in!! Picked up some charms for a pair of friends to take advantage of the discount, oh these are such cute charms, I'm so glad I managed to have a lil spare change for these!! ;w; The bat clips are such a lovely little touch, and these definitely feel like sturdy lil guys!

And omg, all the little bonuses were such a pleasant surprise!! (Editor's note: the joltik plushie was not included in the bonuses lol I've had that for like 7 years.) The joltik clip is also so cuuuute, I'm tempted to super glue a magnet onto it so I can put it around my desk :3c

"Talis literally fist fought the narrative and archetype he was assigned to be with Viktor and won." YES. YES, YOU GET IT! JAYCE TALIS FOUGHT THE NARRATIVE AND WON!!

RIGHT!!! LIKE!!!! one of the reasons i love Jayce's arc in s2 is because of the his role in the lore and the fact that he actively pushes back at every turn. the fact that s1 set up this arc for him where he'd turn against the Undercity, where the his bias and ignorance and the arrogance he got while working on the council would come out full force under the threat of war, and that + the tempering with the hexcore and the death of sky is what would destroy his relationship with viktor. and given how his and vik's relationship functioned in the lore, where they always choose their own moral stances and ideals and pride over any understanding they could have with each other, it would make sense for it to follow that. all the pitfalls for Talis's fall from grace were right there. everything needed for him to become Giopara were right there

but then s2 drops and he IMMEDIATELY throws all of it away for Viktor. fuck his morals, fuck his pride, fuck all the unethical bullshit viktor did and all the unethical bullshit he's about to do, his partner is dying (dead) and he isn't going to let anything get in the way of saving that. he doesn't care what he has to do he IS going to save viktor's life and he DOES NOT CARE if Viktor is human or not. all he cares about is his partner. like all of giopara's core ideals thrown out the fucking window because it came at the cost of his partner and Jayce decided it wasn't worth it. none of it means anything if he cant have Viktor.

and then the finale. first off obligatory none of this shit wouldn't have been possible without ekko everyone say thank ekko our boy savior. but like still jayce like. grabbing Viktor by the fucking shoulders and going "WE DONT HAVE TO BE THIS!!! WE CAN BE MORE THAN WHAT WE ARE MADE FOR!!!" once he saw the astral expanse he understood. he understood what viktor was trying to do and why. and he understood what to say to get through to him that and the best part is all of it is TRUE. he meant every word he loved every part of him no matter how "weak" or even how changed they were. he's going to chose viktor over and over and over again no matter what and it literally changed their fate. hes so fucking insane what the fuck

good luck with the art markets! my advice is to prioritize mid priced items, have a pretty decent stock of simple items you can sell at a good low price, and then a few luxury items. Also have a project or two you can work on the day of so people can see you working!

don't worry too much about accessible pricing,k if people want the stuff you make, they'll but it, five dollars here or there probably wont matter

I've been part of markets before, but as a collective group with other artisans from my city. This is the first time i'll have my own booth, which is going to be fun but ooohhhmy i dont have the structure! YET!☝️It's going to be fun getting stuff for the stand tho! Looking forward to that!
